361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can BNB rise to950? on: November 11, 2021, 04:53:58 PM
BNB is on its run since the bull run began and even broke its ATH when BTC, ETH and other major as well as minor alts were not performing so good. Binance also burns millions of dollars worth their BNB coins so to keep their word and go with the protocol. CZ turned Binance into a grand success and made enormous changes in the app to keep its users stick to it till date, as well, launchpad is one main reason why BNB can rise a lot more. $950 is nothing to me if you ask what is BNB's potential.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do We Embrace Sidechains? on: November 11, 2021, 03:36:57 PM
I've had been a fan of RSK which helped me "pay very less BTC" while getting my transaction getting confirmed way quicker than BTC's main chain, but now the problem is that I need to pay a bit more to get my transaction through compared to BTC's Blockchain. Though, the transactions are very fast and success ratio of confirmations is much better and it can really help scale BTC at a much better pace. It's true that they've brought their own coins but have they stopped serving the purpose they were made for? I guess not, they're still serving BTC to run on their chains to be sent quickly to the other party.
363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I not lose money in trading cryptocurrency? on: November 11, 2021, 01:53:17 PM
Please don't believe that you can never incur losses while trading because without losses, a trader can't become professional in his trading as he learns from his mistakes. And with that said, I'd also emphasize more on patience, if you'd have bought crypto with spare money during previous years (take any year) and hodl till now, then that spare money would have been worth a fortune now as you could have something that'd be worth more than your next 10 years of collective earnings.
364  Other / Meta / Re: Red Tag is becoming Rampant in the Forum. on: November 11, 2021, 11:00:44 AM
One of the exceptions of their campaign is that they don't accept users who are negatively tagged, but they do accept those who got tagged just for wearing their signature.

So them being the reason behind a user's negative tag is fine for them, knowing that those users will never get their tags removed and got their account ruined while also trying to enroll more in order to get their cheap advertisement done at the cost of those accounts' ruination is truly unacceptable and should be stopped because some good members may fall for this, at most for the reason of any specific IRL emergency or whatever reasons. Pity for them who join such campaigns.

Anyways, I don't think there's any reassessment needed for busted accounts as well as spammers and scammers because even if trusted and given another chance, the greed in them so provoke them to continue committing the same "mistakes" they've done so far. I believe that those who got active recently, got their email or password changed immediately after that should be scrutinized and checked because many of such accounts were found guilty as bought accounts in order to participate in signature campaigns (or if an account is bought that has green trust, it can be much more dangerous to the community).
365  Economy / Services / Re: I offer my finical advisor services for money on: November 11, 2021, 10:05:52 AM
Lol why won't someone with an intact mind buy BCW's premium and give that a shot while making hell lot of money, but instead go for your ^finicial^ advices?

I believe there are enough big names in crypto whom I follow, and they don't charge a penny while serving their users completely for free. Instead of taking your advice, I'd give you a free tip here - simply start following some good names like D Man, Sumit Kapoor, Harshawardhan, etc. and you won't need to "ask people here" in order to get money for your so-called predictions with which you'll trade on them with it, that you'll lose later.
366  Economy / Reputation / Re: AT LEAST 99+ ACCOUNTS LINKED TO THE SAME BOUNTY SCAMMER/BANNED ACCOUNT! on: November 09, 2021, 11:26:55 PM
I have not posted such type of connections. If you think there is a mistake on my reports.... please highlight.

Mate, I've already clarified that it's a question based on a thought and what would happen when such connections are found? I believe you're correct in your findings, which is why I didn't point fingers on that at all. But still, how will "user A" prove his innocence without any evidence if such a scenario takes place where "user B" takes advantage of "user A's" personal use of a telegram chat without "user A" knowing anything about what's happening behind his back? I've only taken telegram here because it's a place where many of us hang out and even talk, but facebook isn't something where even if "user A" joins, "user B" would use it as bounties need advertisement in the form of posts and not likes alone I guess. Wink
367  Economy / Reputation / Re: AT LEAST 99+ ACCOUNTS LINKED TO THE SAME BOUNTY SCAMMER/BANNED ACCOUNT! on: November 09, 2021, 11:13:45 PM
I have a question bitbollo (I'm clearly not taking anyone's side TBH, but just something that came out of my mind to ask you and it was truly not invincible's dirty case what I'm going to ask you about).

If for instance,  (as invincible said, so this came to my mind that what would happen when) user A has joined a telegram for his own convenience to learn more about a project of which a bounty is going on here at Bitcointalk but he is unaware of it, then user B who is an ultimate spammer and bounty cheater, goes beyond limits to check thoroughly whether user A (a specific target of user B) has joined that bounty or not (here, I'm taking an example of a single user A only), and if not, user B uses his telegram username in the bounty to cheat them but user A remains unaware of it, what will happen? I repeat, this is not invincible's case but could happen with any user(s) who remain unaware of the fact that their data is being misused for these cheaters' sole monetary benefits.

I'm amazed to see this huge farm, some with 99+ accounts (nice bust guys), some with over 500 (IIRC), and most of them got caught due to bounties. It's ridiculous how people try to cheat these campaigns, and when new campaigns stop taking place, they start complaining when it's their fault only that they cheated.
368  Economy / Speculation / Re: JP Morgan: bitcoin could hit $146,000 on: November 06, 2021, 08:54:15 PM
Volatility would have to fall?
How can BTC even move a cent without volatility?
And how will BTC reach there without enough volatile action?
They think BTC will be $146k straight without a correction? And once it reaches there, won't there be a possibility of a crash due to being so high in price? Volatility is the beauty of crypto trading and investors love it because they get to earn money from both the sides. So, if BTC stabilizes at any point, then the sporting spirit and joy that every investor have in their hearts will fly away.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can $SOL rise to $1000? on: November 06, 2021, 07:43:34 PM
Solana has been breaking records while having so many IDOs taking place on its ecosystem and NFTs being one of the major sectors with which those projects are associated. Just like every other Blockchain's IDO that needs its own specific coin to go ahead and participate, IDOs on Solana Blockchain also need SOL tokens to participate and buy other project's tokens. Investors are also hyperbullish on Solana as they believe it can replace BNB and take the number 3 spot very soon during this bull run (due to which BNB investors are also trying to boom BNB to give a harsh competition and take it to a new ATH everyday while BTC and ETH are struggling to move).
370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Exchange Binance Hires Former IRS Special Agent to Lead SAR Reporting on: November 06, 2021, 07:23:49 PM
--snip--

But will this solve problems for Binance? I doubt! Because Binance's major problem is that there are wrong things happening on their platform but they aren't able to trace down the culprits as there were no KYC earlier.

I take your words about his loyalties and him being useful to Binance. But does that make any change if Binance is the culprit itself? Have you seen unusual behavior during trading at Binance? I've seen it many times. There were unusual highly quick crashes I don't believe any whale would be behind it but the exchange itself because such wicks took place on Binance alone. And if this guy comes with an expertise in money laundering section too, I believe that his contacts and sense of humor will be enough to trace at least some culprits through evidences he may have already found earlier but are also linking to Binance.
371  Economy / Economics / Re: Fuel prices hitting an eight year high on: November 06, 2021, 06:37:48 PM
Fuel prices have skyrocketed in the past few months, on a worldwide scale. Here in Greece, the average price per liter for 95 Unleaded petrol is €1.75, while for diesel it's approximately €1.45. A huge surge is also expected, in the soon-to-be launched season of heating gas oil, which is expected to start within the next few weeks, with a rumored price of at least €1.10/liter.

I've read that this spike in prices is triggered by an increase in price per barrel, due to oil companies worrying about the pandemic, while their production is limited compared to the higher demand. Have you heard anything relative? What's causing this surge in prices, could it be a one-off thing which lasts a couple of months at most?

This issue isn't going to be resolved anytime soon because governments have given full control to oil companies to decide the prices as well as they also add additional VATs and taxes which are killing the hopes of a common man regarding any nearing signs towards fall in petrol and diesel prices.

Quote
What's the average cost of petrol/diesel in your country? Share your thoughts on what exactly is causing this crisis, which is also spiking electricity costs up, increasing the budget for the average household.

We pay around Rs.108 ($1.46) per liter for petrol and Rs.98/Ltr. ($1.32) for diesel. Electricity prices are increasing due to the mass adoption of electric vehicles that are replacing petrol and diesel oriented vehicles, but due to this, we are going to see a huge boost in the price of electricity too as when we pay Rs.20 per 20 liter bottle of R.O. purified water and the same is paid for a 1 liter Bisleri water bottle with added minerals, then I don't think they will leave electricity behind and will even slap huge bills on our face on the name of "loss recovery that are caused due to pandemic".
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] If this happens, is it time to sell your Bitcoin? on: November 06, 2021, 05:58:18 PM
My view is still the same old option that we need to sell at least part (if not full) of our BTC because nobody knows what may happen this December. And crashes don't take place in December but the retests take place in January, and the trend tends to go bearish, then the market crashes. This time, it may be different but for a healthy growth of our parent cryptocurrency, we must see a correction and a retest of $52k and even $42k once BTC breaks its ATH in December. BTC is not yet done with its run but will definitely see a downside move in January (history will repeat again this time).
373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Exchange Binance Hires Former IRS Special Agent to Lead SAR Reporting on: November 06, 2021, 03:40:07 PM
It isn't something that can be commented on TBH because what lies in the future can't be told as nobody knows it. If this officer proves to be proficient to Binance, then he'll definitely roll out things that will save Binance from the legal matters they are facing ATM. Though, if he still "remains an IRS Agent" by heart, then the story will be different and he may become a destroyer of Binance's business too as the proverb goes - "A small leak will sink a great ship".
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taproot will follow segwit pump on: November 06, 2021, 03:18:02 PM
--snip--

SegWit pump? I do not know that such a thing ever existed...

Exactly going to be my point here.
I mean, how can someone even adjoin two completely different matters into one subject? How can segwit or taproot become the reason for a major price change when both of them doesn't even belong to the genre of speculation and are rather more technically connected? Something that reduces the size or cost of a transaction is only helping users to transact in a much efficient and cost-effective ways, so there isn't anything that connects it to price speculations.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with new meme coins on: November 05, 2021, 10:40:58 PM
Reflection, Burn and swap is very common in new meme coins nowadays, almost all new tokens are meme coin judging from new listed coins on coinmarketcap, I'm just trying to warn newbies who believed that they can still make insane profits from meme coins, I'm not saying it's impossible I'm just saying we have many fake meme coins out there now, they are just copying the likes of shiba inu and few others

That's actually what we are worried about, many fake tokens circulating in swap exchanges only use the names of tokens that are already popular. They will say that the token will increase by 100x to 1000x in the near future. They are targeting new people investing in crypto. And this also happened in 2017 and 2018. There is no information about their site. In 2017 and 2018 they took advantage of the ICO line, because ICOs were very popular at that time.

Scammers have found various ways like creating new accounts at telegram with the name of projects that are going to launch, and send messages immediately at the time of launch with a contract address inside. If someone who has not read the official Ann channel or didn't even go to their official chat, immediately copies the contract address of that message (without even realising that it was a message and not an Announcement channel), and buys the coins from that contract, is left no choice but to forget about his money because the scammer not only takes his (the victim's) coins but as he's the one with almost 100% liquidity, immediately dumps the coin's value and takes away all the money. Be careful and highly aware while going to telegram and reading such messages because it takes only one decision for you to become a scammer's next big fish.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / PolkaDOT on its way to $100. on: November 05, 2021, 09:43:26 PM
After reaching an ATH of ~$50 in May, 2021 and a decline to $10 in July, DOT managed to get back up and running towards a new ATH and it crossed the $55 mark till now. But while seeing many shit projects making even 100x, I believe that DOT has a chance to make at least 10x of that $10 decline and continue its parabolic run until it reaches $100 based on the recent PolkaDOT Parachain (Slot) Auctions being conducted. Below is the weekly chart posted which looks like an amazing opportunity in this coin and can give great returns during these two months. I'm parabullish (parabolic-ally bullish) on DOT, what are your thoughts?

377  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs are not cryptocurrencies on: November 05, 2021, 09:27:51 PM
Are CBDCs built using blockchain technology?

I guess not. Because if they add Blockchain to CBDCs, there opens an opportunity for people to try and hide their transactions if any loophole is found by them.

Quote
Is it right CBDCs news are trending on crypto news sites while they are not actually cryptocurrencies?

True, because people need food to live, the same way they need something new in terms of news to learn about what's going on in the world. So even if these are not cryptocurrencies, they're still being advertised as the same.

Quote
Are CBDCs cryptocurrencies?

According to my belief, people will be entrusted to believe that these are cryptocurrencies while they won't be, because there won't be any cryptography involved if I'm not wrong as all they're planning to make is an e-wallet with their country based currency which you won't be able to send outside your country (remit in simple words) to people in other countries so not to evade the fees that are chargeable, i.e.; sending fees, forex fees, etc.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Mintlayer - Decentralized Finance on Bitcoin | DEX | Tokenization on: November 05, 2021, 08:41:36 PM
Extremely happy to get some free MLT tokens at joining.
I'd like to know whether the KYC checking process has begun or is it scheduled for some time later? I've already applied for the same because of the benefits that we are getting to buy MLT tokens cheaper. I'm somewhat confused that even after being whitelisted, why can't I purchase the tokens and it still asks me to register for the whitelist? As well, will MLT wallet be a custodial one?
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH we can expect big move on: November 05, 2021, 08:24:22 PM
Don't believe too much on your predictions as they may hurt.
I'd never say what you said for ETH, because there are many things to note which stop ETH from going high:

  • Centralised cryptocurrency
ETH can never fly high like BTC as it is being run by a person who governs everything in it and there is no governance in the hands of people.
  • Extremely high fees
Its fees are highly unmatched with almost any crypto (/s) and paying such high fees to get our money sent to exchanges like uniswap, for not missing the buying opportunity in an IDO or even a token that's listed there, is not something I'd like to do at any cost.
  • Scalability issues
Even after sending it with high fees, are you rest assured that your transaction will go through? And even if it does, what's the guarantee that it'll be instant after paying enough?
380  Economy / Economics / Re: There are many online jobs out there. Crypto Opportunity. on: November 04, 2021, 09:14:25 PM
@finaleshot, you're true that we must be very much thankful to this forum for giving us all types of opportunities like campaign participation as well as management jobs, moderation jobs for various projects available, art related jobs, writing jobs, contests as well as other different sort of jobs that don't even relate to crypto. I believe that if we keep our eyes open, we don't need to go anywhere out of this forum to find anything as this has now become a home to many.
