41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Will Kill Cash ? Is this True on: March 04, 2018, 03:58:38 AM
People just don't like change. That's what it comes down to. They could be oppressed, screwed, have no future and just be waiting to die but they won't change what they're doing because they're either just stuck in their dead-end life and so stuck in a rut that they can't even imagine that there is a way out, let alone a way to vastly improve their quality of life over the longterm.

Cryptocurrency will take over for sure. Once we go through a few generations that are used to cryptocurrency though. Then the entire population will come to realize that they don't need a bank to hold their money, they don't even need to use their local government's chuckie cheese tokens. They can use real money.
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2017 was maybe the last era of bitcoin? on: March 04, 2018, 03:54:21 AM
Of course we're going to see 20k again. Holy, people see history repeat itself over and over and over and over in this space, but the newbies don't bother looking back 3, 6, 9, & 12 months to notice that OMG, China banned cryptocurrency?! Then, oh wait no they didn't... Then they did... Then they didn't, then Korea did, then that was also a BS lie. Hmm, it's almost like people are just manipulating the market and they keep doing it because the market is extremely fickle and can drop 20% at the drop of a hat.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Trivia: PAST and FUTURE on: March 04, 2018, 03:51:15 AM
Can you prove that the first million coins were all mined by Satoshi? That's just speculation and isn't based on fact.

Also, fun fact, Bitcoin's total supply isn't exactly 21 Million, it's just a lot easier to say than 20,999,999.98 (I don't know if that's the exact number since I'm going off of memory here).

The real information is hard to find but the dumbed down info is plastered everywhere, which is honestly an issue IMO. People just don't understand the fundamentals that they're investing in at this point. Lots of newbies barely even understand how a transaction works and/or who is mining blocks!
44  Economy / Speculation / Re: People more likely to buy if price goes up or if price goes down on: March 03, 2018, 06:03:24 PM
People are buying at every price. Wtf are you going on about lol? We're still at about 50% of the ATH so it's still a bargain. We won't be staying here too long. Don't get used to it. Also, 6k!? Lol yeah right. Never again in our lifetime.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Apple, Facebook, Google Blockchain can force people to adapt Crypto on: March 03, 2018, 06:01:53 PM
If every business developed a shitcoin then they'd all be worthless because there would be hundfeds of thousands of different currencies and you'd have to figure out how to accept them all and at different rates. Also, they'd be centralized AF! Who would run a node for facbookcoin!? Rofl what's the point!? Just stick with bitcoin so you can have some real money in the future.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: De-diversify portfolio? on: March 03, 2018, 05:48:35 PM
My logic has always been that having small amounts in lots of different assets helps diversify and thus mitigates risk. It does, sort of. I'm getting to the point too where I own tooany coins to follow the community all the time and I miss out on key I formation. I may bring my portfolio down to 5-8 tokens just to keep things simple, and have higher stakes in projects that I truly believe in.
47  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: If i type my bc1(bech32) address in any blockchain explorer i can't see nothing. on: March 03, 2018, 05:00:44 AM
blockchain.info should work. they support bech32 addresses

blockchain.info still sucks, they don't have information on bech32 addresses. They only show that an address in bech32 was involved in the transaction but what I mean is if you try to click them you can't, they are greyed out as you see:

Always has and always will. What can you do? Well use a different explorer of course. Yeah I prefer btc.com, it's the best for bech32 addresses ATM. I'm assuming blockchain.info will eventually get caught up, but they aren't exactly the most tech savvy company out there. They just happened to fumble their way into getting the name "blockchain" and people think that sounds official. Other than that, they don't have a leg to stand on.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Legit airdrops are profitable but most of them are not legit on: March 03, 2018, 04:55:12 AM
If an airdrop isn't legit, don't you just lose your time? How is that a scam? If you're investing money then it's not even an airdrop, it's just another shitcoin ICO that has no real purpose. Most airdrops are just that, and airdrop to people who own either Bitcoin or other shitcoins to keep pumping out new coins that they can pretend are worth something. Just sell them all and keep collecting Bitcoins!
49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What if i buy coin of 1 sat .. i can double my money just in a day on: March 03, 2018, 04:52:42 AM
1 Satoshi coins typically have doge markets and are the most volatile shitcoins out there. While thinking about how you could easily earn 2x you should also think about how easy it would be to lose 95%. Most of these coins are long dead, abandoned, or were never worth anything to begin with. You can clone Bitcoin as many times as you'd like but it doesn't make it worth the same as Bitcoin.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates opinion about Cryptocurrency on: March 03, 2018, 04:46:40 AM
Weird. I've owned cryptocurrency for almost 3 years now and never once have I bought fentanyl or other drugs. Since apparently that's all Bitcoins are good for I guess it must be everyone else on this thread right? Oh you guys don't either? Hmm. Weird.. I think Bill Gates forgot his source on this one. Maybe we should get his facts straight and show him that far more crimes are commited with fiat and then let's even go far to see the # of crimes vs the actual value of the currency. Let's call it crimes per capita. I would be shocked if Bitcoin was higher than fiat. Criminals have used fiat for generations and now all of a sudden we're supposed to believe that crypto is going to take over the drug trade? Come on. No one wacked out of their mind could figure out how to send some Bitcoins right away. This is just ridiculous.
51  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Rumored yobit founder arrested on: March 03, 2018, 04:39:41 AM
Huh, I was just saying to someone today that I wonder if their shitstorm of a spam campaign was still going on here and if they were even still in business. I guess now I can tell them the news lol! They won't be in business for very long! Thankfully Bitcointalk has made me very aware of their business and very aware that they don't give a shit at all. They were looking to make some quick and dirty money and I guess they must have. Doesn't matter in a Russian prison though!
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates opinion about Cryptocurrency on: March 02, 2018, 01:06:35 AM
What an asshat. He literally said that governments controlling your money is a good thing. Holy shit. Just goes to show that he obviously gamed the system and doesn't want it to be fair out there. He needs all the fake money that he's earned over the years to be worth something still. It won't be for long!! Hahaha
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maxing Out Credit Cards to Buy Bitcoin on: March 02, 2018, 01:04:15 AM
I've only bought small amounts of bitcoin with credit cards because I pay mine off. People that keep balances on credit cards are the people that should have a bank look after their money since they don't understand it hahah. They'll pro ably end up losing their private keys because they are safe with their money and don't know wtf they're doing.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rate my portfolio please on: March 02, 2018, 01:02:07 AM
Lol so you basically just went to the top 20 and bought all of them. Congrats. That's just following what other people are doing and won't exactly be making you massive returns by any means. I would suggest looking long and hard into lower cap projects rather than being a sheep and following the top 20 blindly. Look at the top 20 from 1, 2, 3, 4 years ago. You'll see a lot of coins that are either dead or not doing as well as they used to. Just because something is top 20 for now doesn't mean it will be for very long.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The new crypto for everyday use?! on: March 02, 2018, 12:59:36 AM
Lol oh good.another tether. How original and exactly what we need /s.

Who will be auditing the USD reserves, which is kind of backwards since the USD is backed by ... debt basically haha. Anyway, who's going to be doing that auditing? That's the most important information about these coins that are supposed to be pegged to a certain fiat.
56  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: potintial legendary account with green trust for sell on: February 26, 2018, 12:48:38 AM
How many posts does it have exactly?  Wink also what kind of merit? How much trust does it really have? We need more details man.

Nah but seriously, I hope this account is already red tagged. Idiot. Selling accounts just ruins this forum.
57  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FortuneJack is stealing my winnings on: February 26, 2018, 12:46:35 AM
Why don't you open a scam accusation on them and post some screenshots so people can actually tell if you're telling the truth or making this up? That's the only way to prove what you're saying is true, so if you don't have it then you're at the mercy of fortune jack to act honestly.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the Animosity Towards Banks on: February 26, 2018, 12:44:59 AM
Wiring fees aren't the issue.

Look what happened in Greece. The government and the banks worked together to keep people from taking their OWN MONEY out of the banks. They had to wait hours and hours to get to an atm to withdraw 300 euros at a time. Do you even understand what that feels like? If you have $10,000 and someone that you're paying service fees to to hold your money on your behalf says "you can't have it back right now" . It's a fucking ponzi scheme then?!!?!?

That's what bitcoins are really about.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need help (bitcoin) on: February 26, 2018, 12:42:23 AM
yes very serious because I have more than 1 million dollars from my bitcoin account.
here is my icq for anyone who wants to help me:
ICQ: 728168173
Thanks!

You literally didn't answer anything. If you have "1 million dollars" in your "bitcoin account" then I would suspect that at some point you knew wtf you where doing, but it sure as hell sounds like you don't have a clue. So basically this is a black hat hack attempt. Why not just come out and say that?

For future reference, you don't have a bitcoin account. You also don't have any dollars in the account that doesn't exist. Scam better.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: lol on: February 26, 2018, 12:20:15 AM
Are you trying to send someone a DM? This post makes no sense.

If anyone ever says crap like that then you're in a crappy investment. They didn't even say why they think the price would go up but instead just spewed the usual nonsense of pump and dump coins.

This is not a pump it is an investment!!!!!

Thanks for clarifying. I guess we're all good then.
