1041  Economy / Economics / Re: Nowhere to Hide: IMF Advocates a Cashless World on: May 02, 2017, 05:35:21 PM
The problem is when you look at India or Greece where withdrawals are limited, certain notes are no longer accepted etc, this creates a huge problem for the citizens of that country. What are you supposed to do if you have a lot of those bills? Deposit them and take out smaller bills? What about in the future when those bills are now gone? This is where cryptocurrency needs to be used so they never have to worry about what you're doing with your money ever again. It's yours, keep it where you want.

The thing I find the strangest is the fact that people don't want to be in control of their own wealth. It's so strange to think that you'd trust someone else with all of your money and not yourself. How stupid of a society do we have to be to keep the majority of our possessions in a bank?! Oh they have insurance, great. SO if they go bankrupt you get up to 100,000 back. Ok but anyone with 100,000 should just have their own money safely in their own arms. Having to rely on some company is completely ridiculous.
1042  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buy a wife with bitcoins on: May 02, 2017, 05:29:06 PM
Well this is interesting, some of this girls are looking pretty good for my taste. I agree with people above me, this is expensive is that with shipping or we need to pay for that also?
Currency is not a currency if you can't buy drugs, weapons, and now even on wife's with it, now we can say that with bitcoin you can buy literally everything!

i think we need to go to that country so we can marry with that girl but i think i don't want to do that because we never know who is she exactly and we should spend more just to see the girl is real or not. but i think that site is trying to be dating site like others that offering a girl to be our wife.

I think the whole point is that they come on over to where you live and they move in with you. Either way this is an obvious scam for ultra lonely pathetic individuals so I'd steer clear.
1043  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your best strategy to determine if the coin will be profitable? on: April 30, 2017, 02:32:49 AM
Read the whitepaper. See if there is anything unique about the coin. If there is something unique is it something that will interest the masses? That's what I'm looking for.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if someday the network internet totally dead . on: April 30, 2017, 02:28:22 AM
If someday the whole network internet dies, the economy will totally crash since most of the people are sending and receiving money through the internet, not only the crypto lover. Therefore, we should hope that it will never happen because it will strongly affect to everyone on this planet.
I think the internet is the technology of the future and I'm sure the internet will not die. As all financial transaction activity now begins to use online

Exactly. Everything else uses the internet so why wouldn't they be dead too? Then would people soley use cash? I doubt it. It would just get fixed or something better would come out of it.
1045  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] Name for new Exchange. on: April 30, 2017, 02:26:11 AM
I just gave you some pretty great ideas. The best ones IMO are the first and the last. Hopefully it's what you're looking for. I based them off of quick and secure.
1046  Economy / Economics / Re: what would if you were to destroy every bitcoin mining operation in the world? on: April 30, 2017, 02:14:49 AM
Hobby miners would pop up out of the woodworks, make a lot of money, buy more miners, create a huge farm and we'd be back to where we are now in a few years or less. The price wouldn't change based on my scenario.
1047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: Exchanges are all shell games !!! on: April 30, 2017, 02:09:47 AM
There's a lot of people currently living in mansions earning millions for doing nothing. They're all insolvent. It's not going to end well.
That is correct, but that is unavoidable, if you collected large capital somehow you are in a state when you don't need to work anymore.
Your financial benefits will accrue from reinvesting itself. This ugly truth is still more visible in fiat money ecosystem.

So what are you suggesting Op? Boycott all exchanges? Not the best or wisest idea IMO.

A smarter idea would be to use decentralized exchanges only. The problem is I don't know of any and if I did I doubt the volume would be any good on them.
1048  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.1 btc lending for 1 week (10% repayment) on: April 30, 2017, 02:06:34 AM
That account you're offering is worthless to most of the world plus it has 2FA? So it's useless to everyone. Offer different collateral.
1049  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Send bitcoin via email - Free, secure and decentralized on: April 30, 2017, 01:15:42 AM
I understand that this is distributed trust and like in multisignature wallets both parties have piece of a full key.
But it is still not fully decentralized service IMO, online wallet providers offering multisignature wallets are not advertising itself as 'decentralized'.
Another question: How can you profit from this service when you offer it completely free?

I'm assuming ad revenue. I guess we'll see once it's out of beta though. It's all automated right? You don't have to wait for someone on the other end to approve with their other half of the private key I'm assuming because that would just be a step in the wrong direction.

Does your service suggest wallets to people? If I send an email to my Grandma she'll never redeem it because she won't know how to get a wallet.
1050  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to post a thread on: April 30, 2017, 12:14:01 AM
This guy is posting from a full member account looking for a higher-ranked account to post a thread for him...and all you low-ranked members want to gargle his sausage like it was your last effing meal.  What is it about this forum that attracts illiterate bottom feeders?

OP, give more details or retract this offer.  No one here knows what exactly you want or what your requirements are, though you've piqued the curiosity of many.

I only came by because when I googled gargle sausage it lead me here. True story. Try it.

What do you want exactly OP?? If you want this so thqtvyou seem more trustworthy I think this is going to backfire big time on you.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen to your BTC and Alts if you died today? on: April 29, 2017, 02:17:45 AM
If I were to die today I'm sure my wife would know how to at least get on bitcointalk and ask what to do with the paper wallets I have. Any alts on an exchange or otherwise I'm assuming would just be lost unless she or someone else looked through the history on my computer and tried to get on certain exchanges to see if there was a balance.
1052  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank of Korea's research on crypto and FIAT currency on: April 29, 2017, 02:14:48 AM
However, security or trust issues – the decentralization of digital currency and the absence of insurance provided by governmental authorities – may prevent digital currency from being used as a store of value. Instead, digital currency may be used as a medium of exchange dominantly.

Do you agree with this research result?

Not at all. The majority of people I know that use bitcoins don't spend them ever or rarely spend them. I don't have anywhere local that accepts bitcoins and I don't trust online stores that accept them, so it's almost exclusively a store of value for me.
1053  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buy a wife with bitcoins on: April 29, 2017, 12:27:40 AM
Hahaha of course they accept bitcoins!! Because they're going to take your two and a half bitcoins and in return you'll get a post card in the mail hahaha.
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you stop someone forcing you to hand over your private key and taking all on: April 28, 2017, 07:44:16 PM
If you could be helplessly forced to hand over your private keys then you can as well be forced to hand over your car keys, your house keys, your bags, ATM cards and any valuable item, so in such an instance what will you do? I guess you should be able to apply the same solution if you're being coerced to hand over your Bitcoin private keys.

Not really. If someone asks you for a $100,00 ransom because your wife has been kidnapped do you have $100,000 sitting around? If you do, I 100% guarentee you it's not in a bank account. It's equity in real estate, it's a stock, it's mutual funds. So can they give you a deadline to have it? Sure. But is it totally liquid and they'll actually get their money in right then? In 48h? In a week? Depends on what you're invested in. Smart people don't hold fiat in a bank account. That's why the rich get richer.
1055  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm a beginner, I want to start trading. What should i do? on: April 28, 2017, 07:40:11 PM
Trading is not just easy as you think. Its hard to predict in trading, so your money that you invest in trading is risky. So you need to be careful in buying a currency when you start trading. Before to start trading you need to watch and analyse or put a question in mind how it works to be success. You should also do research before buying and there are many buying signals for you.
Please do not discourage new comers. Unlike any other field trading has some possibilities to get profits if we are ready to show our efforts and dedications. Still I am not saying trading is a safe heaven to make profits. It requires hard work and knowledge. All the requirements of trading are easily achievable.

Practicing for free of cost is possible in trading too similar to gambling. But, we need to remember our experience so that we can make use of our knowledge at right times.

Wtf? Calm down there. Bitcoins are risky, altcoins are risky^3 and trading altcoins is risky^9. Don't be a naive fool and tell me that you don't think you're amplifying your risks by trying to get a quick profit.

To answer the OP

1) What should I start? Hm? Start with? mainstream coins.
2) Which platform should I use? Any large exchange, they all have the same possibility of being hacked.
3) How can I analyze the Altcoins? Whitepaper, Who is the dev?, is there a thread on bitcointalk? Is it just an obvious pump and dump coin?
4) Auto or Manual? I always do manual. I don't want someone else's strategy while using my own money.
5) From 1-10 how much is risks in trading Altcoins? 10. It's naive to think it's anything other than as risky as trading penny stocks. In 10 years it could be worth absolutely nothing or $100 a coin. You never know.
1056  Economy / Digital goods / Re: SELLING 200$ AMAZON US FOR 130$ BTC on: April 28, 2017, 07:34:07 PM
Oh look, yet another newbie selling yet another great deal. What could possibly go wrong?

I suppose you're ok with supplying the receipt showing you paid cash for a $200 amazon giftcard right? 65% is an obvious scam.
1057  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betcoin.ag Robbed Me. on: April 28, 2017, 05:52:01 PM
I absolutely don't justify what they are doing, but i don't see how we're going to stop them from doing it if we (you) keep playing on their sites.
Awareness. We need to spread awareness. You know,a lot of gambling related websites and blogs still promote them which becomes the primary source for the new gamblers to start playing there.
The most easy awareness is google: betcoin.ag + scam

That's what I do with any business I'm going to send money or bitcoins to. Why wouldn't you? Betcoin.ag doesn't really have any positive publicity so it should have been very obvious to avoid them if you had done at the very least the bare minimum of Googling them for crying out loud.
1058  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: April 28, 2017, 05:48:35 PM
Young people shout not go all in on bitcoin because it is very risky since they are young, they don't have enough knowledge about the bitcoin and also in the market so it will be such a loss if they go all in on doing investment thru bitcoin. It is better if they will just test the market by investing at least 1/4 of their money and get experience first.

Bitcoin is very good for beginners to learn how to invest, there is no need for any special knowledge. Just buy cheaper and sell when the price rises.

That's really over simplifying everything. If you start actually earning a wage with bitcoin or altcoin trading you'll be subject to your country's tax law regarding capital gains. If you aren't claiming your capital gains you're really shooting yourself in the foot for the future if you get good at trading because you'll be in crap for the past when you didn't claim it.
1059  Economy / Speculation / Re: ask for invest in bitcoin on: April 28, 2017, 02:06:01 PM
It doesn't matter what someone says here because nobody knows where the price will go in the short term. It depends on the ETF decision again. I do believe that over the long term bitcoins will go up and up though, so if you are talking about a long term investment then buy what you can afford.
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you stop someone forcing you to hand over your private key and taking all on: April 28, 2017, 02:03:52 PM
The obvious solution would be a multisig wallet. Even if they could figure out who the owned the other private key they may not be able to get to them if they're say, on the other side of the world or if you left it in a safe place like a bank's safety deposit box. There are lots of ways to make sure you aren't the only one in charge of keeping your bitcoins safe while at the same time not giving someone full access to your precious coins.
