https://spaceflightnow.com/2021/10/22/musk-says-starship-may-be-ready-for-orbital-launch-next-month-but-faa-review-continues/

Musk just published another date for Starship's launch, as time goes by.

It seems that now it isn't his fault, since the launch is under review by the Federal Aviation Administration.

We'll see if everything will be ready before the final approval by the FAA. The process might not be finished before January or February.

A milestone on space exploration delayed because of red tape.

Even the Bible supports the view that Jesus's disciples stole his body, found someone similar and faked his wounds.

The Bible mentions that many people didn't recognize Jesus after his "resurrection" (Luke 24:13-35 or John 21). Even Mary Magdalena first didn’t recognize Jesus or his voice (John 20:15).

Which is another way to admit that many shouted out: I knew Jesus. This man isn’t Jesus!

People who knew Jesus didn’t recognize him? Do you want better evidence that the resurrection was forged?

Peter: Couldn’t you find me a better imposter?
Marcus: The other said that he did not want to end up nailed on a cross like the real Jesus. When I told him that you had the keys to heaven and could grant him access, he just started laughing on my face and asked for more money.

Then, they got rid of the fake Jesus (Being number 2 was bad enough with Jesus. No way I’m going to allow this with a sham one).

Followers: Where is Jesus?
Peter: He raised in body to the skies into heaven. We saw him.
Followers: Why didn’t Jesus raise in front of all? That would confirm his divinity, also to the Romans.
Peter: Shout up, Jesus left me this keys of heaven’s door! Where are your offers to me? Ahh, I mean, to Jesus.

I just added Larry Page.

You can dislike Google for very good reasons, including massive surveillance. But if Zuckerberg is on the list, Page deserves to be on it for greater reasons. Google doesn't only spy on us, like Facebook, it also gave us some extraordinary educational and useful tools, including Google Books or Maps.

And after more than 20 years, Google's general search still beats all competition on a way that makes most of them look like complete incompetents. Just try Bing.

Rarely I see people complaining about all the billions that are spent on leisure time, making very expensive movies, traveling, fast cars, luxury goods in general, including food or clothes, high tech and on all other million of things people buy everyday just to enjoy life.

I don't see most people saving their money to give to others in need.

They don't seem to really be ready to cut their spending in order to help others...

Going to Mars is just another thing that isn't really necessary, won't change the world or save it, but will make many people happy.

And that is enough to make things happen, no matter if they are expensive.

Christians claim that Jesus raised from the dead after 3 days.

3 days? What a coincidence. How many messiahs and religious figures raised from the dead after 3 days?

This myth was invented because of the Sun.

The Sun stays stationary between 21th and 24th December (for 3 days, the Winter Solstice) and then on 25th December “raises from the dead” and days start to increase in length again. It's because of this that it's a holiday for many pagans.

And it is also the reason why was picked by the church as the Jesus's "birthday".

They claim the resurrection has to be true, because the apostles wouldn’t risk their life for a lie.

Yet, there is no clear support for any organized and hard prosecution. Christians don’t claim that the Roman authorities killed anyone after the death of Jesus. The bible says that only Jesus was arrested.

Romans couldn’t care less for the Christians. No apostle claimed to be the king of the Jews.
According to Acts 18:12-17, the Roman proconsul Gallop dismissed a case against Paul.

Even if we believe the New Testament, there are just a few references to mild/mob prosecution and to the killing of Stephen.

And the apostles had good reasons to lie about the resurrection of Jesus (No way I’m going back to be a fisher again). They already had many followers or the Jewish religious authorities wouldn’t see them as a threat.

There were no more killings until more than 30 years later, under Nero. It’s when Paul and Peter are executed (about 64/68 CE) (he didn’t see that coming: damn, I should have kept being a fisher).

This persecution didn’t last long. There were more than a century of toleration until Marcus Aurelius (161–180).

Christians were much more diligent prosecuting others later, for centuries. "Nobody was expecting the Spanish Inquisition", but...

Your posts are doing a very valued service for Atheism, brave soldier of god. Thanks, I had to give you a merit!!

I know this isn't your intention, but I guess what you wrote is your best. If god existed, he couldn't ask more from you.

From your signature, I suppose you refused to be vaccinated. If you didn't catch it already, I wish you the best when you catch Sars 2. Which, you say, isn't evolving; but with Delta, every unvaccinated will catch it.

One thing is playing the faithful one, posting on a forum. Another is playing with your health against Science.

Don't put your hopes on the "good lord". According to believers, he was the one who created this. Nonetheless, disgracefully and very unfairly, "his creation" don't discriminate the "good, faithful, people".

It seems the "house of lord" is one of the main sources of contagious: people are near each other, don't use masks and sing loud.

Astonishingly, they get infected, and some end up dying, praising the "good lord".

If that's me you are talking about, thanks for the merit.

When I die praising the Lord, I will be with Him in glory and joy forever.

When you die praising NPR and NBC, you will praise the Lord in the resurrection for giving you what you inadvertently asked of Him... Hell. Why will you praise Him for giving you Hell? Because you will realize how wonderful and honorable He is toward you and all unbelievers, for NOT giving you as much punishment as you deserve.

Cool

Yes, brave soldier of god, I was talking with you. Don't mention the merit, it's very well deserved!

You are so good promoting atheism with the incredible things you write, that I wonder if you won't burn in hell with me.

However, don't be afraid, "the good lord", allegedly, is also omniscient and should know that you indeed were trying to promote Christianity and not Atheism. No matter if all common mortals reading you think otherwise.

Too bad he doesn't seem to exist and we all will be rotting a few feet under ground, here on Earth, forever and ever...

Now, seriously, get vaccinated, don't play with your health.

The delays to launch Starship were to be expected. We are not talking about jumping on a trampoline (to quote a russian joke).

https://spacenewshubb.com/2021/09/06/spacex-repairing-heat-shield-reinstalling-raptors-on-first-orbital-class-starship/

This heat shield is looking too familiar. It looks more and more like the one from the space-shuttle. I guess this was the best they could find and that their philosophy of "the better part is no part" couldn't be applied.

We'll see if it resists entering in the atmosphere better than the shuttle one or if this will end the dream of a really reusable (on a few hours) Spaceship.

But if something really goes wrong, the timeline of 2024 to put again humans on the Moon will be at risk.

One thing is to send Starship with goods to the Moon, another completely different will be to send safely humans.

On some comments.

Mario Draghi is on the List for the same reason Ben Bernanke is. I explained on the OP. The first saved the euro and probably the European Union as President of the European Central Bank during the 2009-2012 financial crisis. Bernake saved the world economy with his expansive monetary police. We had all the necessary requisites to have a new 1929 world economic disaster. We hadn't.

On Jesus: I know that more than 3 persons voted for him, but according to Science, he is not alive. Sorry, but he doesn't qualify. I couldn't accept Santa Claus either, but he is very important in the mind of many children.

Anyway, they claim that the father, the son (Jesus) and the holy ghost are the same person ("god"), accordingly to add someone should be "god". Or is he dead to believers? However, he doesn't also qualify for the same reason.

I added Noam Chomsky. He is indeed a very important thinker and linguistic.

However, give me a break with his "anarchist" ideas... even if one says that most of people are good, one only needs 5% of bad, armed and organized people to destroy a society, if there isn't a Leviathan to put them in check.

Moreover, Chomsky's ideas are near the Union/Socialistic Anarchism. It has nothing to do with anarchy-capitalism, that most bitcoiners defend.

On political figures: normally, they are important mostly as menaces, since they can do a lot of bad things. On my book, this doesn't count. As positive doers, politicians are really important mostly in times of crises and wars.

But if any of them gets 3 votes, I'll add him, even Putin or Xi Jinping.

I just need to open this thread to start laughing. From the things I read from the believers, but also from the non-believers.

I already wrote that Christians walking around with crosses with Jesus nailed is to the very least disrespectful. People were burned alive or dug from the grave and burned after dead for much less than that.

Believers have more reasons to become atheist.

Science says they will sleep better, without the need to constantly having nightmares, thinking on burning on hell because of using a condom.

On Mozart's Symphonies, I'm recommending the 8th, both Allegro: the first one and the last (this one is the best).

You can download it here: https://archive.org/details/lp_complete-symphonies-vol-ii-nos-6-7-8-9_wolfgang-amadeus-mozart-erich-leinsdorf-th

Not the best quality, but it´s a legitimate free download. At least, it's on a legitimate site.

And selected music from a genius is almost always good to listen to.

It seems Musk is decided to test the Starship in block (super heavy buster and the spacecraft on top).

I think it would be more prudent to test first a flight with the buster alone. The chances of something going wrong would be smaller.

Well, Musk is Musk. All or nothing. Major expectation for the test of the biggest rocket which Humanity ever launched.
53  Other / Politics & Society / Re: On Mozart, Amadeus (1984), Murray Abraham and leaving long lasting social memory on: August 11, 2021, 11:51:12 PM
I'm not expecting this post to be popular. Anyway, if only one of you started liking Mozart is would be worthy.

Don't just give up after listening one time to the recommend musics. Complex tastes are hard to acquire.

Life would be worthy to live only to listen to some of those musics.

When you start liking Mozart, or music of this kind (call it classical, choral or any other name), you won't ever forget that.

More than this, you will teach your kids to love it. And they will teach theirs.
54  Other / Politics & Society / Most important person alive? on: August 11, 2021, 11:36:36 PM
I added most of the customary people.

Plus Ben Bernanke (he saved the world economy in 2008-2009, with his expansive monetary policy), Mario Draghi (he saved the euro and the EU, with his monetary police and famous speech), Shinya Yamanaka (work on malaria saved millions of people) and Tu Youyou (stem cells: Nobel 2012).

I'll add more people based on good argumentation or three votes.

I'm not going to be neutral. I voted for Elon Musk.

I have posted some text critical of Elon Musk's plans for the colonization of Mars.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1741917.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188448.0

But I left clear that what he is doing with SpaceX is very important and I'm following his achievements with interest and applause.

I have little doubt that Musk is currently the most important person alive.

Not because (according with some calculations) he is currently the richest person alive.

Not because of what he is doing with SpaceX. I doubt SpaceX will change the life of many people in the next 20 years. Read the above posts.

Currently, the main reason for my vote is what he achieved with Tesla.

No, it's not because Tesla it self. Tesla doesn't sell enough cars to make a big change on it self.

Musk main achievement with Tesla was to force all the other major companies to start creating and selling electric cars. This will make a dent on carbon emissions, since global warming is our main threat.

This won't be enough to save us from trouble. Far from it. But it's a start.

Another major action from Musk was his promise to pay a big reward to any developer of a cost effective way to capture carbon from the atmosphere.

Basically, currently, this technology is the only one that can save us from the serious consequences of global warming.

It's more than clear that we are not going to be able to reduce substantially carbon emissions and we are in serious trouble.

A few countries will meet their promises targets. Mainly the demographically decadents, like the Europeans, Japan, Korea.

For the same reason, perhaps, also Russia, even if they don't seem to be very concerned with the problem.

In due time, maybe also the Chinese. They are in the same boat of the demographically decadents, about to starting to lose population.

But forget about India and specially the Africans countries. They are still increasing their populations. The second ones by a lot. Their emissions are going to explode.

We are basically in serious trouble. Unless we start capturing carbon from the atmosphere faster than we are emitting it.

But we have to start now spending a lot building better systems, because the current ones are a disaster: costly and slow.

Again Musk initiative might have an important impact, since our bright governments are still blind to the need for serious investments in this area.

His Neuralink might also change the world, because of the risks of AI: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1538764.0

But SpaceX and NASA are going to Mars and I'm very happy about this.

Obviously you are not a tax payer.

Good point.

Americans are going to Mars and will pay for it, taking all Humanity on the back site for free. Thanks. Signed, Humanity.

Now, seriously.

The USA wasted billions in over paid arms to quasi-monopoly corporations. 721 billions on 2020: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_budget_of_the_United_States

Certainly, it can spend 2.89 billions on SpaceX for it to take American astronauts to the Moon again and then to Mars with little more than that.

SpaceX is paying much more from its pocket. This is almost a free lunch for NASA and the USA.

"At the end of fiscal 2020, NASA will have spent more than $17 billion on SLS" (The Space Launch System) that is still on the ground and will at much fly twice in redundant voyages that SpaceX could do for a few millions (not billions) with Starship.
https://www.space.com/nasa-sls-megarocket-cost-schedule-oig-report-2020.html

It's SpaceX which is taking American astronauts now to the international space-station for much less than the Russians were asking and avoiding the national humiliation that was NASA paying to the Russians for this.

Intelligence is the most important and rare commodity in the Universe.

Possibly, we are the only intelligence species in the Milky Way. Just read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rare_Earth_hypothesis

Forget about finding any technological advances species in our galaxy, like in Science Fiction books and movies.

By creating a super AI we can really change this. But I'm afraid we'll be risking extinction, as I wrote on the OP.

And this will apply even if they were friendly. We'll be worthless.

Unless we merge with them.

Elon Musk is right about this and his Neurolink can be his major achievement.
57  Other / Politics & Society / Re: On Mozart, Amadeus (1984), Murray Abraham and leaving long lasting social memory on: July 24, 2021, 07:11:23 PM
Indeed, Mozart's 41th symphony is exceptional. worthy to listen countless times.

The way to start loving some new complex music is always to listen to it on a row several times.

Getting all Mozart symphonies and listen to all of them for weeks until finding the best ones is the way to go.

Each new time one ears it one discovers some new sound and more and more harmony.

Someone listening for the first time to an Opera will hardly love it, unless is something very popular and easy to assimilate, like Verdi.

But listen to it several times and some parts will start to sound lovely, at least if the composer is good.

On the movie, I was moved by the part I called attention to. It's the sublime music that does the most part.

But the lines and the good interpretation too.

I disliked the unfair portrait of Mozart, scratching his leg, moving like a fool beyond the servant, ridiculous laugh and more.

Let's forget for a minute the evidence posted demonstrating that you lied to the police. Let's ignore your arbiter, as is patent that you retain access to that money. Your post confirms it.

The OP is no longer a Rock Trading customer, thus AML rules don't apply and you don't have any right to ask for identity verification. The FAQ you removed say that you never had.

The OP posted plenty of evidence that he is the owner of the money and this conflict already has several years. You are the only one denying it.
Is there other evidence you could possible invent to release his money?

What if the OP is not the account owner?

It would be very easy to prove it but he can't.... (PS the account owner is a woman)

The Rock Trading Exchange's representative after years of excuses and lies and all the evidence posted is still claiming that the OP didn't prove that he is the owner of the blocked money.

This appears just another excuse to appropriate the money. But I can be proven wrong.

I'm waiting to know what specific evidence is lacking.

I have a free signature. I'm hoping it won't be needed to use this thread with a nasty comment as signature to solve this case.

Mars is a nightmare.

With current technology, no one will be able to live in Mars more than a few years without major health consequences.

Desperate or adventurous people will be willing to go live there, but someone will have to pay for the voyage, build their houses and pay their salaries.

I can't see any economical reason to someone to make this investment. There will be political and scientific reasons to have small basis there, but not any colonization.

If they find some military or crazy scientists to live there 2 or 3 years until being replaced in order to keep a base, excellent.

I imagine in what health state they will return Earth.

But SpaceX and NASA are going to Mars and I'm very happy about this.

Jesus was dead when some people, many only had met him on dreams or under the effects of some intoxicating substance (including Paul of Tarsus, who had persecuted Christians all his life), decided to write the New Testament.

Christians say that he resuscitated. The bible says he had the hole from the roman lance, but claims that he kept walking around.

I guess it would be too much to ask from Jesus in that situation, that he would still had the presence of mind to write something.

He probably would said "Come on bro, I have this hole here, give me a break... you write something about me".

It would be nice to have something written by him. But I doubt his text would survive the censors of the IV century.

Even the Gospel according to Peter (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel_of_Peter) was excluded from the Bible.
