41  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe Bitcoin will surge to new heights after this dip on: May 21, 2024, 10:03:11 PM
I can totally see why people feel optimistic that Bitcoin will reach a new all-time high after this latest price drop.  Plenty of folks seem to think it's a prime buying opportunity right now.  But you raise a fair point - not everyone sees it that way and  some investors remain cautious, wanting to see where things land before making any big moves.

At the end of the day, reasonable minds can disagree on this stuff.  I don't think either view makes someone naive or foolish.  It really comes down to your own investing style and stomach for risk.  But one thing's for sure - Bitcoin keeps things interesting! Its price swings tend to spark lively debates, thats for sure.
That is trust and faith - people believe it as it happened in the past when ATH came after halving and that kind of belief is still on their minds despite the drops. Whether it is true or not but I would agree with them and I was also expecting ATH in the coming days.
Their optimism drives them to keep calm and stay strong. But those who feel uncertain will make themselves uncomfortable.

We can say that every drop is a buying opportunity but of course, we can expect everyone will take this especially when they're done already. And I assume that most of us have filled our bags already during the last major correction.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 21, 2024, 10:22:23 AM
The odds of Minnesota skyrocketed during the 2nd quarter when they are being dominated by Nuggets. I didn’t manage to bet because I’m busy watching but thise who bet live get a solid win.

It's worth noting that the Wolves looked down by the end of the second quarter of that game, as the Nuggets were already leading by a lot of points. Placing a bet on the underdog team to win at that point seems like a bit of a gamble, and I think there were very few who actually decided to do it.
There's always risk in gambling, it's up to you if you'll take the risk. High risk, high reward, that's what you get especially if you are betting on the moneyline. I wonder what was the betting odds when wolves were down by 20, and if someone bet on them to win straight up, that would be a lot of x....

p.s.
As for the upcoming series, I personally expect the Wolves and Celtics to meet each other in the finals.
Based on the betting odds they are likely to meet in the Finals, but we can wait, and let's see if they can beat their respective opponents because I think the Pacers and the Mavs are in the conference finals because they are also good.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 21, 2024, 08:16:25 AM
SMB is just too much for ROS. Although ROS are sharing the ball very well which is good but their 3 point shooting was really the problem in this game. Just    27% from 3's and since that should be their main weapon to defeat SMB, with a low percentage that's an automatic loss. ROS really struggling to score in the paint as JMF is waiting their to block shots, and sometimes when JMF attack the paint, he can also grab some offensive rebounds which hurts more the ROS. Now, let's talk about game 3, what should be the strategy the ROS has to use? Because they can't afford to go 0-3 where no team have even comeback in the PBA history.

Actually there was already a team that came back from a 0-3 hole and that is the Beermen also lead by that time a younger June Mar Fajardo. It was dubbed as a "beeracle" where the SMB Beermen defeated the Alaska aces four consecutive game to grad the AFC trophy. Just forgot what year that was but it really happens in the PBA.

Yes, it does not happen in NBA but it happen in the PBA, it's already in the history.

However, the situation was different with the current match up of the SMB now because ROS are healthy and they are the underdog in the series, unlike that time where SMB was only underdog because they don't have their best player,  but when he came back, it changes everything and they made a history.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still to Invest into meme coins? on: May 20, 2024, 12:13:05 PM
Let us assume OP that you are not promoting this project, but don't bother to dig deeper because meme coins are just good in the hype, not in profit.
If you care about your money, you'd rather stop looking for meme coins and instead, invest it in ETH or BTC. Don't get too attracted to those people who claim that meme coins are worth it and profitable because they are not.

Smart investors look for long-term investment, not just hype and short-term.
But that is your money, anything you do is yours and in the case of losing, it is just yourselves to blame.
45  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has Trading Competitions competitions led you to challenge your skills? on: May 18, 2024, 03:29:41 PM

If you guys really wanna get into them, then I think there'll be more crypto trading tournaments this year. You just have to be sensitive to announcements and have courage to participate ahah. Any experience about trading tournaments, let's hear your view.
I have not yet seen an exchange promoting trading competition aside from the exchange (Bitget) that you have said.
Does it look interesting and courageous? No, I feel not because as a trader, we don't need to prove and no point in showing who is a great earner or challenge ourselves to be the top among others. Instead, make it a secret as much as possible, and besides, trading is not a competition in the first place as we are able to excel in trading without showing it to others. Doing this will never give us the benefits because nothing will change us, it is the company/exchange that has it.

Anyway, I just hope that all the traders who join the competition will find it helpful to themselves and their trading journey. It is a matter of choice but I chose to stay out of such things.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 18, 2024, 02:27:48 PM
Reality check - we often realize that our gambling habits are not right anymore when we already suffer big losses.
In this case, we should have to pause for a while and see things that we are doing, and cut it out. Honestly, being a responsible gambler is not difficult but yes, this usually happens after having some bad experience.

Therefore, I would say that falling into addiction is an option because we can correct it if we want. Unfortunately, some just let it happen and continue doing it wrong.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be careful with people's money on: May 18, 2024, 01:46:49 PM
He just git himself into a debt situation and that's why it's not advisable tonuse people's money to gamble cause you can end up putting yourself in much trouble, I think he needs to get himself some good self control lesson from this, no matter how profitable the option to gamble may seem its always risky and if the opposite happens you would surely regret it. It's also similar to borrowing money to gamble, I also find it quite absurd to do this cause gambling should be out of your disposable income not debt or as an expense.
And that is a wrong decision. He was supposed to think that it was not his money and he knew that people trusted him to keep the money safe and secure but with his addiction changed everything.

And this happens when we a irresponsible gamblers as we never thought this would create negative results because what is in our mind is to gamble.
Some gamblers just realize their wrongdoings after and until get caught. The sad thing is that it compromises not just their finances but also their reputations. This is how addiction could ruin one's life and be a reason why even their relatives and part of the family hate them.
48  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is going to happen with Bitcoin now? on: May 18, 2024, 10:46:59 AM
When we look at the history of bitcoin price movements after the halving, the price usually increases, but this year it seems very different, the FOMO that bitcoin gives traders means that the price of bitcoin has already made a new ATH before the halving occurs. If we still follow the history of bitcoin price movements, it is possible that next year there will be a bullrun and bitcoin has the potential to reach a new ATH again.
This shouldn't be really an issue, and we could consider the deal as something that will take some time. Of course it is not that clear if we could make money right away, but I think it is going to do fine, which shouldn't be really that much of a situation that is easy, because we should probably see the changes to be a lot more important given enough time but while waiting a lot of people will end up not realizing what kind of benefit we are going to have.

This is why it is going to be a lot of trouble for people who do not know what we are going to do, and because of this we are going to face some people selling earlier than they should, this main reason will cause a lot of trouble for people who do not understand the complete situation we are in right now.
Trust and patience are really what we need when vesting in Bitcoin. But having a lack of knowledge about this will certainly be full of uncertainties and not knowing what they will do next.

Until now, we are still not sure if we have already reached the ATH or not. We believe that history repeats itself and we assume that ATH will come next year but seeing the current situation, we might not know if we already missed it. But we can't lose hope and remain patient until the day the bear season starts again and then say it is over.
49  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dips are temporary but Bitcoin is forever. on: May 18, 2024, 08:06:24 AM
When we have fate, we never think about its end but if we are uncertain, worries are always in our mind and even when we try to be calm, it still bothers us, and we lose confidence.

That is why not all are able to understand the situation because they don't like the volatility of the market in the first place. Some think that buying at a dip is a wrong move but do not know that this is the right time in a volatile market.

Investing in Bitcoin is a big challenge for impatient people and a reason why even though it is proven that this is a profitable investment, many still disregard the opportunity.

50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 17, 2024, 09:55:42 PM
At last, they notice it somehow because it is already an alarming situation that could ruin their life once they fall into early addiction. I wish this also happen in our place.

It is already time for the school to act before this situation worsens. Proper education is needed as they are old enough to understand why they should not gamble while studying. Guidance from the school and as well as from their parents will be effective in battling this issue. Let them help to understand that there is a right time for gambling, not now while they are still in school. Even if it was just a friendly game, it still influenced their mind and it will carry one if not stopped.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Casino Community Service Possible? on: May 17, 2024, 02:05:56 PM
Casinos already paying a high percentage taxes from their income, I think that's their basic responsibility which they can say no. Gambling is not really associated with charitable works, because this is entertainment and it targets people who like to spend money and take chances. you know, it's gambling, so  not all the time casinos make money although it's true that they make money in the long run.

Personally, I never heard of a casino involve on this activity, probably it's not just the thing of this industry.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust bitcoin holders? on: May 17, 2024, 12:45:24 PM
Well, OP, it is very clear to us that Bitcoin is not anti-government. That is why we don't have any reason why we should distrust holders.
I'd rather trust Bitcoin holders the government for real. If we would really think deeply, if this is against the government then all holders are already arrested and in jail but it never happens because it wasn't.

Bitcoin holders are some of the most patient, trustworthy people on the planet. Anybody who can hold their money in an asset that drops 70% & not flinch deserves the upmost respect. We are a rare breed of strong handed investors, nerves of steel. Bitcoin holders can be trusted more than most people.
But not all bitcoin investors have diamond hands, there are also many weak hands and have dumped their bitcoins. Additionally, I don't believe anyone can stay calm and not flinch when bitcoin drops more than 70% in value. I believe that even veteran investors who have experienced this many times cannot avoid being worried. But they know how to handle that situation better than newbies, so they can avoid panic selling.

That's why I said holding bitcoin is not easy and not too many people can do it. Many people often urge others to hold and buy the dip, but at that time how many people can keep calm and do that? It's always easier said than done.
Worries can be somewhat normal and very common to doubtful individuals but for those who are old-timers, it simply disregraded.
Although we don't have data available that points out the number of holders but I believe that the majority are weak hands compared to real holders.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 17, 2024, 07:12:09 AM
The Timberwolves owned the paint tonight against the Nuggets. They had a 20+ rebound advantage as a team led by big nights from Karl Anthony-Towns and Rudy Gobert. When they’re playing like that, they’re the best team in the NBA. Game 7 will be a great game to watch. It might as well be the NBA Finals.
Just like how they played in game 2, they dominated the Nuggets again.

43-62 rebounding disparity, that's huge, it looks like Nuggets didn't travel to play as in the rebound alone, they aren't getting it done well. Also, the nuggets struggled a lot in the 3 point area as they only shoot 19% which is very low. Well, I guess now we can say that this series is really unpredictalbe, we have a game 7 back in Denver, still it's hard to predict if the home team will dominate.

Yes, and we will give credit to the defense of the Wolves. There were immediate concern when the Nuggets started hot and so Wolves call early time out, but after that, it was a different team, playing good defense, running and hitting their shots.

McDaniels is the big difference for the Wolves with a big 21 points. Yes, as I have said before, this series is very unpredictable but the game is going to be in Denver and that they will have their home court advantage again. It's not a do or die game, but maybe the defending champions might still have some ace in their sleeves and finished this series.

Wolves have the face the big crowd of Denver in game 7, so I think it will be hard for the Wolves to win when everyone in that arena except their teams are cheeing against them. They have to stay compose and let the game flow according to their play, because if Denver are gonna be the team that will start strong like having a big run, I doubt the wolves have the ability to come back.

McDaniels played great this game but he has to keep that consistency if he wants to help his team, because game 7 is another game, adjustments are gonna be made, he should be ready with that.

55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does destiny has influence in the amount we can win in gamble? on: May 16, 2024, 10:12:22 PM
I actually see an interview with a gambler who has been buying lottery tickets for more than a decade but never wins the jackpot prize.
I believe there is a destiny of winning in gambling because I see some gamblers easily win. But, we couldn't question why because this is gambling and it is all bout luck. We could think that our time to win is not arriving yet but to regret to see that some people are spending a lot of money before they hit the jackpot prize.

That is why some gamblers always think "There is next bet, maybe I was lucky". Whether it is our destiny or luck, there is time to win but the problem is that we never know when.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be wealthy you need action on: May 16, 2024, 09:45:13 PM
You need to take action and learn from the mistakes
Knowledge come only from experince.

Good point mate!
Those who are afraid to fail and commit mistakes will never improve their life because they are not able to change their way of earning money in the first place. If we look at how these investors are doing, they always taking high risks, searching for other earning opportunities, and putting money without a doubt. But there are 2 things I see as to why they become rich aside from being risk-takers their behavior and their mindset. Despite how many times they fail, they never give up and continue their plan. We really feel how aggressive and motivated they are when it comes to business and this is lack by most of us.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 16, 2024, 01:30:44 PM
Predictable indeed, they are just so lucky that they exploded for 39 points in the first quarter and have a comfortable 17 points lead, if not for that they might have lost the game. Moving forward, ROS will face SMB Beermen in the semis which i think the Beermen will win as the Elastopainters don't have anyone that could stop the Kraken down low.

That's for sure, and aside from the SMB which is already a good 3 point shooters, they also have players that could attack the paint. The 2nd unit of the SM is more than enough to beat the starters of the ROS, so I doubt it will be a long series, unless.....if you know what I mean.

58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest in Bitcoin because others are investing in Bitcoin on: May 15, 2024, 09:46:17 PM
That is true. I remember my first investment in BTC many years back, a friend actually persuaded me to invest in it. He literally did everything as I had zero idea what BTC was, but I didn't want to make him feel bad, so I obliged. I can tell you that today that investment was a complete waste. I couldn't retrieve my investment because what I investment is way below their minimum withdrawal. Meaning I can't withdraw it.
If I had taken time to understand their terms, probably that wouldn't have happened, but it did happened because I lacked the right information.
That's it. People who invest having zero knowledge will end up in regret. Good thing that was just our problem because some individual had lost their money due to using the wrong wallet (fake) and scam sites.

The thing we have in our mind is not to rush from investing, we just do it once fully understand how it works and we believe in ourselves that we can do it alone. Whether you agree on me or not, that person who told you and encouraged you to invest will never take responsibility if ever you lose that is why you should know first how to take care of your money. And this is impossible if we don't have any idea about this and most it happens you sell in panic.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 15, 2024, 07:55:41 AM
Based on the interview on CJ, he said that this team has gotten stronger already, because before when they'll face the DYIP, they'll just say "matic", which means they know they can easily beat the team, but now it's quite different, so this last game should not be miss.

I really doubt this honestly, all of the sudden this farm team will get better? I think there's something wrong with the officiating, you know there has been a rumor that PBA is fixed, so since they know that everyone bet on the SMB in the first game, they manipulate the game so there will be a game 2, but don't fall for that because SMB are going to smash the DYIP in a do or die game.

This opinion of mind is only based on my analysis as a gambler, if you are a fan and not gambling in PBA, pardon me with my opinion.

Well, I guess I'll follow your idea and will bet on the SMB. However, I'm quite not so confident with the spread now which is -10.5, do you think if they'll win they'll be able to cover that high spread. The game will start in less than an hour, it's a do or die for both teams but it would be disappointing if SMB's gonna loss again.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 15, 2024, 07:27:17 AM
I also had the Knicks as well with the -1.5 and it didn't disappoint those who bet on them ML or the handicap as they covered it with a lot of spare if you bet on them pre-game. Jalen Brunson was on fire in this game with a huge 44 points.

So now it goes back to Pacers homecourt. And I think we might see a game 7 in this series.

Too bad folks like us who believed that the Pacers would be good enough to bring the momentum they had in game 4 at Indiana tonight, but Haliburton's performance was way below average, I expected better from him. As most have already pointed out over the course of this series that he just like to stick to making and facilitating plays.

He doesn't get aggressive with scoring when he's not able to make plays or his teammates are having a tough time with finding the basket. Having just 9 field goal attempts is never going to win them games if his team aren't scoring, it would not even matter whether they're on home, If he attempts similar numbers or less in game 6, then I'm definitely sure that it will be a Knicks win in 6.

Haliburton   is not too selfish that's why he didn't carry the team. The scoring within the team is very much spread but it doesn't result in a win. I think they need to make an adjustment in game 6 so they'll bring this game to 7. I now have doubts if the Pacers have the killer instinct to be a champion because they are inconsistent sometimes. Well, I must say that these two teams are very well match up, so may the best team wins, and I think bettors just have to follow the trend, and with that said, it should be the pacers with the spread in game 6.
