41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My friends and I want to run our first ICO, But we have no idea about marketing on: November 21, 2018, 07:50:18 AM
Hello everyone, my friends and I want to run our first ICO, We have a good idea that I really think can rise above, we have experience in coding.
What we don't have is the idea of how to market our project.

I run into a few guides in this forum like this ICO PR guide, but I'm not sure if it right or the people how to make it have a real experience.

It is even possible to do the advertising by ourself or should we hire a professional company that will do it for us?
Can you recommend on more high quality resources about ICO marketing?

A lot of people have really expressed their opinion in this situation you have found yourself but my opinion is to as a matter of fact shelve any idea of raising fund via ICOs because the chances of it failing at this time is higher than ever. The reason is quite simple. The level of trust in the ICO market has dropped significantly and it will take a very convincing project to get some few funds from investors. Rather than going through that route, an alternative is to build the business from what you and your friends and can gather after which you can think of expansion. With that, you are sure to get some support from the market.
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: ADVICE TO EVERYONE HOLDING BTC on: November 20, 2018, 07:46:36 PM
Firstly, i am not a financial Advisor but please do take this tip seriously. BTC has gone all the way down from $6k to $4529 this morning. People are in great loss. so to avoid further losses. sell now.. i believe some people will listen to me

If everyone should sell now, it means the price will fall further. Also, its more conflicting as for anyone to sell, it means someone is ready to buy with the aim of profit and following your advise, if this trend is maintained, we are seeing another epic bloodshed. Its true that its very hard to hold at this point that every logical suggestions point to the direction of selling but iit depends on what individuals can absorb as losses then decide the next course of action.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will blockchain disappear? on: November 20, 2018, 07:27:33 PM
Blockchain is not going to disappear no matter the forces against it at the moment that seems that is the way its going. I have read about projects done on blockchain by firms that have nothing to do with crypto currencies and more importantly they are reputable institutions with influence all over the economy. This point to the direction of the enormous potential that this technology has and the solution it tends to bring.
44  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining Telegram Bot That Makes Sense or Just a Lie? on: November 19, 2018, 03:22:27 PM
Times before now, it has always been situation where mining and scam goes together but what surprises me is how this people would then use Telegram as a way to perpetuate their activities. What is even more surprising is how some people would believe that their Telegram app can just turn them to millionaires over night. Even sites that have proven themselves to be best cloud mining sites are still riddled with one form of controversy or the other talk less of that which is purely a bot.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Institutional Investors Will Destroy Bitcoin, We Do Not Need Them To Succeed on: November 19, 2018, 01:05:58 PM
Concluding that institutional investors are not needed would be the wrong move in my opinion. Institutional investors goes beyond people coming to buy bitcoin and influence the market. For merely creating a product reliant on blockchain, putting infrastructures in place to start accepting as a means of payment, allowing bitcoin or crypto related advertisement on their platforms, looking the other way when their platforms are being abused for crypto activities are all form of institutional investments which goes beyond what individuals or group of individuals that is being promoted can afford. If everyone can work together with no one stepping out with the motive of domination, it would surely be for the betterment of everyone.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin facts revealed on: November 19, 2018, 12:30:28 PM
I think the main reason of bitcoin being considered as scam is the hidden facts behind it.But since it lacks Identity of invention no wonder that people consider it to be scam, but the facts should be proven to a great extent that people start believing it doesn't require any proven identities.

Unfortunately, you have not revealed any fact based on what you have written here. What I can see is simply someone moving round a ball without moving forward. It has been said times without number and the reason why bitcoin is being considered scam based on your observation goes beyond the individual and identity behind it and every of those assumptions and conclusions have been debunked. While the current phenomenon might prove the carriers of bad news right, its believed that this will soon pass.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why new crypto exchanges fails to grow ? on: November 19, 2018, 11:31:03 AM
2018 has been a rough year and the entire crypto market has been one that have faced some serious difficulty and even the big exchange sites are feeling the heat but because they have grown so big to absorb the shock. For small exchange sites, aside from the unfavourable market environment, I think its lack of proper planning. A lot believes that the moment they launch the volume would be massive in a moment for them to cover their cost forgetting that it takes time to build the customer base. With the clients not forth coming and cost to maintain the platform accumulating they are faced with the option of either continue to incur loses till the nearest future or cut it by closing down.

I've seen this site to pvot community.

Use the link to generate traffic ( Give 1 good comment or like where you post this link ) and earn money 5$ - 10$ for every unique visitor that clicks & visit your job link.
Good places to start posting your link are social websites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube, forums, chat rooms, blogs, etc.

This is not promoting.
I just asking for more information about this website if you are related this site earnings  😊

A simple way to decide if a site is real or just for data mining is to properly analyse the return promised then decide if this is truly what is reasonable for someone to pay out. Another thing again is to analyse the claim that they have been in existence for long which I wonder why only you was able to announce them on the forum. In short, its just one of the sites with nice graphics which is so cheap because of the already available templates and nothing to offer than to delay and waste your time and energy in getting paid which is never going to happen.

49  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paxful are we aiding criminals and drug dealers? Discussion on: November 15, 2018, 08:26:01 PM
We all know about that scandal when they were arrested a few years ago and they justified themselves with shooting on a riffle range the next day and they were having funa nd high on cocaine and teh media blew this up to hurt bitcoin but I also wonder whether the truth lies somewhere in the middle and the media exaggerated the story but they also held back telling their part of teh story and we could be aiding criminals and drug dealers or we could be aiding stupid ceo´s on cocaine or somewhere in between.Tell me what you think.I ahve been trading on paxful for a year and when i joined i wa snot aware of this not im starting to question the morality of this.I knowa lot of these sites have people laundering money but there signs that you can look for to avoid these people but being the owners is a different story. Morally how do you stand on this.
Warning:Im not critizing paxful without proof of course and they have always paid me my bitcoins every time i just want to know what you think.
Funny, I don’t really get what you’re trying to say, but Paxful has been a legit exchange for as long as I have known them. I don’t know what they have to do with cocaine, it’s an exchange and since they are paying you, then you don’t need to complain.

The only business you have with them is exchange and nothing else. The only time you can complain is when they are not doing what they are meant to do, which is to pay you after exchange.

Lol... I was thinking I was the only one that was struggling to get a grasp of what is being talked about here. Paxful has been a platform that have been an alternative to local bitcoin and they have been carrying out their business in the best possible way. Although, they have implemented some policies in recent times which does not go well for lots of people but its still for the best which is one of the reasons they sent a survey which I believe if anyone have a problem with them can just voice out without any backlash.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does The end of mining lead to end end of innovations? on: November 15, 2018, 04:00:04 PM
If mining ends ,will new projects stop emerging in the space of crypto? How are ining and innovations related? If mining ends ,projects mostly adopt POA consensus model where mining is not necessary?

Mining is the engine room of everything that relates to crypto at this time and its better not to wish for it to end because of the effect that its going to cause for everyone. Even if release of additional currency is on hold, it is still needed for transactions to get confirmed which is the soul of every crypto coin out there without which the end is just around the corner. What I expect is that gradually, the mining process should be decentralised to a large extent that one person or group of people stopping their own process won't have an adverse effect on the entire market like we currently have it.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin ever exist in currency notes? on: November 15, 2018, 02:06:30 PM
The problem in my opinion is not about coming up with bitcoin notes but the various factors and conditions that needs to be gotten right in other to have a note currency is the challenge which largely makes it possible for bitcoin to have a note.

To have a note currency means there would need to be a body that would be in charge of all the logistics attached to that line of decision. The mint company, knowing the amount that is exactly needed, providing the fund to ensure that quality and what cannot be adulterated is printed, recruitment of those that would be in charge and also to organise the security that surrounds all of these functions. Looking deeper one wold realize its largely impossible to get these things in place in addition that, it would negate the existing principle of bitcoin to have such.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Falling Down? Is it The end ? on: November 15, 2018, 10:28:55 AM
Yow guys, just an hour bitcoin price drop nearly $700 is this the end, or is it just taking its time to pump so hard, or will we wait a years like what happened before ?

As surprised as you are, so also is everybody and if you are looking for answers, the simple truth is no one knows except some speculations to either rejuvenate hope or to further demoralise people . Either way, they are merely expression of opinions so the best motivation is the one we give ourselves at this trying time which is what I will encourage everyone to do and hope for the best.
53  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Shortage of positions in bitcoin signature campaigns for good posters? on: November 14, 2018, 08:12:03 PM
There should be a rule that the only cryptocurrencies permitted to be used for campaigns should be BTC and a few good altcoins. It would not only help stop useless token bounties but additionally help some good altcoins circulate in the forum.

This is a nice suggestion in that even if you cannot pay in BTC, then other top altcoins should be considered. I have even wondered why there is no campaign paying in ETH, XRP or LTC. But again implementing this rule would also open up.some new set of controversy which would include but not limited to

1. How the forum began to censor projects.

2. How its about the protection of bounty hunters and not those who are genuinely interested in the project considering the abuse which has led to various reforms that have happened on the forum.

3. The lack of support to new projects coming up with the policy of not paying with their own coins.

So, its two sides that needs to be thought of very well not to create more problem in trying to solve one.
54  Economy / Economics / Re: Young people will drive Bitcoin adoption more than the older generation. on: November 14, 2018, 06:52:36 PM
Any invention that the current generation is not ready to drive will wizzle away and there won't be any redemption. Blockchain would be driven majorly by the millenials (those born from 1984) and only few who can fall in line with the current waves from the older generations. The reason is simple. It would take more effort to convince a man to abandon what he has come to know as the way of doing  things all is life compared to a young chap who is still in a testing phase of his life on other to decide on the system that works for him in his life.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is keeping your hands out from the current market situation saves your profit? on: November 14, 2018, 05:39:49 PM
Right now, the current market situation is very frustrating. Most of the coins especially the good ones are turning red. Almost all of the coins and tokens are still bleeding hard. Is it safe not to do trades, and investment as of this moment to ensure that no possible loss coming?

It takes a strong man to find the motivation to keep pushing at this time because really, its hard. You slept with a bad situation of the market which you hope things might get better only to wake up the following morning as see something worse and you blame yourself why didn't you take that decision yesterday to either sell or buy or something better off that current position. Sincerely, there is no advise. If you cannot stand it, take a break but if you can, just find the strength and hope it eventually pays off.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty projects need to change approach to bounty allocations on: November 14, 2018, 05:29:26 PM
This is a trend that happens a lot with bounty campaigns this days for blockchain projects, the truth is if a project doesn't meet its hardcap it is almost impossible to pay out the entirety of the bounty budget.

I think a change of approach should be adopted, projects should have a bounty budget that they will be capable of paying as long as the soft cap is reached.

This may mean a smaller budget but it also ensures hunters don't just join out of greed and spam repeatedly.

At the end everyone is happy

Your suggested approach is a workable one that needs to be considered really because the case of bounty hunters not getting paid as a result of the target not being is really alarming but again it won't solve the problem rather it would abate it a little because it would be like giving a free card to project that could not make the soft cap to just go free without paying. The lasting solution I see is the rejevenation of the crypto world where the trust would be returned but only given to those project that have proven themselves to be potent and everyone would be happy.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you cash out your bitcoins for Black Friday? on: November 14, 2018, 05:25:14 PM
Bitcoin is volatile, and can easily rise and crash without good/bad news. We can think of reasons and speculate on why prices move such directions, but there's really no way to know for sure.

As a Legendary member that has been here since 2014, you should probably know this by now.

He did know but what he is trying to do is get opinion and trying to rationalise by giving reasons as to why a new downward trend is being witnessed at this time which coincide with black Friday sickness.

I see a slight drop in the price in the last couple of days and that made me think, why this might happen now.  Huh My best

guess is that a lot of people might be converting bitcoins to fiat to enable them to buy cheap goods at retailers that are not

offering Bitcoin payments. Will you also cash out some bitcoins to shop at Walmart or Amazon or whatever retailer you shop

at, that are giving these massive discounts? This will surely explain the drop in the price, a week before Black Friday

starts.  Huh

I see no other major announcement that would explain the recent drop in the price.  Angry

I won't want to believe that someone who probably bought at an higher price would now sell because of Amazon price slash when you know that when the market recovers even if the price of that particular good should double, you can afford it conveniently. The  like reason is because of the volatility happening in the market and every explanation would only work as a result of timing alignment.
58  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 15% capital gain tax in US? on: November 13, 2018, 04:28:14 PM
15% capital gains is a good deal to me because I don't think any country would charge anything less than 10% as it relates to capital gains and if the full principle of capital gains is being implemented here, there is no need to worry because aside the fact that, it will be only on the gain made when conversion is made to fiat, it also allows the cost incurred in buying the coin and other incidental costs incurred such as transaction fees and mining fees to be deducted before the balance is then taxed. With that 15% is something that will encourage voluntary compliance.
59  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Sec and EtherDelta on: November 13, 2018, 03:21:07 PM
"Washington D.C., Nov. 8, 2018 —
The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced settled charges against Zachary Coburn, the founder of EtherDelta, a digital "token" trading platform. This is the SEC's first enforcement action based on findings that such a platform operated as an unregistered national securities exchange."

Do you guys really think sec has any case against EtherDelta founder?

https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2018-258

Of course they would have a case against him. If they don't they wouldn't have called a press conference to announce that or release a statement to that effect. The law is there and they expect everyone to comply with the law no matter who you are and whether you recognise the existence of the law. You will still be tried under the same law. This is largely what happen to the proponent of Liberty reserve sometimes in the past which is what led to the end of that at the time.

Its time to start thinking of the worst case scenario as one thing is sure, one of the condition of getting a plea is compliance with the request of shutting down the platform for good. This is the state exercising its power and there is nothing to do to stop it.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin for the people or for the corporations? on: November 13, 2018, 11:02:55 AM
I want to believe that behind the corporations are the people who call the shots and make investment decisions on behalf of the corporations who would eventually be the ones receiving the benefit of such decisions should it turns out to be a profitable one. Which means, whether as individuals or hiding under the veil of incorporations, its still about the people which is what bitcoin was made for. The concern is always arising from the point of control or manipulations which is easier to be done on the basis of corporations compared to individuals.
