41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ### C-Note Turns 5 Years Old on Jan 8th, 2019 ### on: December 20, 2021, 01:27:38 PM
I'm connected to 5 nodes but can't sync past block 2212390. Don't know what to do. Any help plz?  Smiley

Hi,

Just checked my wallet, i have the same block....
Pretty sure that was the last block mined. Sonce its QUARK, it was probably mined with a Bikal miner ASIC, cos the difficulty is very high, yet the hash is very low, so my bet is that the chain is simply stuck until some hits it with enough hash to mine the next block. I have only a small gpu so will not even attempt it, you will need 20-100 GH/s i think to do it.

Just checked here http://cnote.cryptorrency.com/ and it confirms, last block was Sept 2021...

I started mining using this guide, and everything works for me - https://steemit.com/crypto/@kaspa/kaspa-quick-start-guide
Block reward 500 coins.
Be careful and you will succeed)

Thankyou kindly
Worked like a charm

Anyways, i get between 2-4 mhs, but the net hash is already 24GHs, so 1000 times higher...so ZERO point in solo mining.
What a terrible launch, needs pools ready or no point even trying...fail
What are you talking about?  With a fairly basic CPU, you can easily get a couple blocks a day.

Please guide me thru how to get the wallet working first

I would recommend joining the Discord and there will be lots of folks available to help you live with wallet and mining issues.

If you read my post above detailing all the errors u have you would see that i also asked the DEV to please post any help on this ANN. Why should people have to join DISCORD just to mine his coin.

If you have managed to get your wallet working, please post the instructions here.
Most people accessing this from a work, or public PC can't go to DISCORD

what gives

How do you run this wallet?
How do i get andress?
How do i mine
How do i check my balance?

Why are there not simple instructions in the ann....(do not ask me to go to discord, please post here so all can see)

Also, just tried mining using this test address

./kaspa-miner-v0.1.3-linux-amd64 --mining-address kaspa:qpyn6a3gudav4jzt0gway6tndj3tyw0uazehet5g0fvutmmnktg0zz2klk4dt
 cos mine says i have the wrong address...duh

Anyways, i get between 2-4 mhs, but the net hash is already 24GHs, so 1000 times higher...so ZERO point in solo mining.
What a terrible launch, needs pools ready or no point even trying...fail

Hello there,

does anyone have a 1030 4gb mining (its definitely 4gb not the usual 2gb) ? Wondering what output it gives...

Stick it on NiceHash and you will find out....

Hi,
I've only seen this once or twice before.
From memory it is a coin where the block gets split between the "miner" and the "founder", ie if a block is say 25 coins, the "miner" gets 20 coins, and the "founder" gets 5 coins.
When i have seen this you MUST use the wallet inbuilt miner (usually console, and "setgenerate true x") all external miners only allow to mine to 1 address.
Knowing the coin would really help us. Send me a PM if you don't want to publicly name the coin.

Jaydee, there is code out their that allows the miner to "split" the rewards, if i come across it again i will send you a link.
I think the "miner" probably had an internal "pool" written, making the reward split much easier

Hi,
I'm sorry if this not the correct location for this, but i would like to suggest or to know if the algo verushash 2.0 can be added to cpuminer. That would be great, since seems to be a good coin to be mined with cpu's.

Thanks,

The existing miner is written in c++ and would be too difficult to import.

Shame, cos it's a great coin to mine, but the team haven't bothered optimising the miners for nearly 12 months.
I'm sure yours would be much better Smiley
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can not mining ETH with nvidia GT 750M on: August 23, 2021, 11:52:41 AM
Hi, I try to download app from https://trex-miner.com/ and then config .bat file and then try run it, i have a problem is "ERROR: Can't start miner, GeForce GT 750M (CC 3) is not supported" , my laptop model is MSI GE60

I have already update lastest version for driver Nvidia, the version is Nvidia Driver: 425.31

Does anyone can help me to fix it pls ?

I haved checked GT 750M be able to mining ETH but actually is not.

HI,

Please take a look here
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gt-750m.c2224

Under "Graphics features" you will see CUDA 3.0

Unfortunately there is literally no mining software left that works with less than CUDA 6.1 (i think some very old versions of ccminer work with 5.0, but they have long sine been lost)

It is not simply a case of the card is weak but i want to try mining anyway, its a case of the hardware simply isn't supported anymore.

If i come across any really old software (pre 2013) i will try to remember to send it to you, but it is extremely unlikely.

Best idea, just do some cpu mining if you really must use that laptop to learn (start with cpuminer-opt)

Good luck

Hi

Still no joy.

Thing is, everything has worked fine for last 2-3 years right up til 5 weeks ago.

So i have 1 wallet (my daily mining wallet) with about 1000 coins. When i use hte nodes you publish, and do a full rescan, the wallet grabs one peer, and it rescans right up to block 497609, Fri Jul 9 19:50:42 2021 and then drops the peer, and says "no block source available"

The 2nd wallet, i started completely from scratch as i said above...that one started, got to block 480, Sun Jul 10 22:55:04 2016 and then disconnects, also saying no block source available....

What do you need from me to fix this?
my .conf?

Do you want to send me the link to the correct windows wallet, maybe my .exe has got corrupted?

If you can talk me thru compiling for LinuxMint 21, i will happily try a Linux version too, to see if that sync.... ( i am a total linux noob, but got the wallet working on Ubuntu / Lm 18ish last year)

Get on Telegram. I will try to help Smiley

Hi,
Just wondering, what is the block chain issue.
Is that why i am stuck @ block 497609 from Fri Jul 9 19:50:42 2021 with no connections?

Yes, this has been the issue, but its fixed now and your wallet should be able to sync now.

Take care, you have a Version of at least >=3.0.2 and if needed add some nodes to your config to kickstart:

addnode=167.114.224.79
addnode=167.114.224.82
addnode=194.135.92.209
addnode=104.255.33.55
addnode=194.135.93.49
addnode=23.227.190.77
addnode=2.123.19.238

have fun

.

Hi
Just downloaded wallet v3.0.2.0-g4f9cc23
Started from scratch, with only these addnodes....
5 years 5 weeks behind, no block source available
Would be so much better with the old explorer which at least showed live connected nodes and wallet version

EDIT

Just got one connection
144.76.238.2:8881 which it says is wallet /EuropeCoin:3.0.1/ so according to what you wrote above that is the wrong wallet to be connected to....

Please help

You might want to check the CHIA wallet for coins, they are still over $100 a coin

Hi guys,
Does any one have any ideas what's going on with Datacoin.

Had zero issues mining for months, now i can mine for hours, BUT every time i shut wallet and re-open, i have to do a full re-index....
This also happens with my "bank" wallet...

Getting a little bit bored of this now
Any ideas please.

You should contact them in slack.

FYI: The Devīs release a new beta...

Would you mind asking the DEVS to post any updates in here too please....we don't all use slack....
A link to the new beta would  be cool

Datacoin reports #2

A slight reduction in the number of active Datacoin nodes (as visible from my Hetzner-hosted node on 144.76.118.44) but healthy enough for the moment:

Hey guys, does anyone have any connections please.

Looks like the main website and pool have died...

addnode=144.76.118.41
addnode=91.121.221.92

Thanks Graham.

Weirdest thing. I already had those nodes in my fuguecoin.conf....BUT, when i tried firing up the wallet with "-server" it told me to create a read-only file fuguecoin.conf (which i already had), so i copied the contents to clipboard, deleted said file, made a new one, and pasted my old text in, and hey presto...worked...

I seem to think i have encountered this before in the dim distant past, i think its a Windows thing...

Anyways, all sorted now (apart from, for some bizarre reason it needs to do a full re-index - so about 8 hours to go)
Cheers
J
