401  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntMiner APW3-12-1600 PSU Series on: August 18, 2015, 06:33:28 PM
You any idea how to connect up this 'switch board'?

What remains unclear to you?
S4 Power_Board V1.0

From left to right + -  , + - , + - , + -

OK I maybe thick but here goes  Wink

Any 8 PCI's from the PSU can fit in the board?
Any of the remaining 4 can fit in the controller?

Using the old cables from the PSU - do I separate all the cables strip each end and fit them in board as indicated?

Any cables can to to the blades as long as they are gnd to gnd and 12v to 12v?

Or is there a specific order?

The server psu has one rail I believe so it doesn't matter in what order you hook up the wires unlike some atx psu's.

Thanks.  When I looked in the past they didn't have that option.  Yes, the S5+ is a beast for power.
403  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntMiner APW3-12-1600 PSU Series on: August 17, 2015, 11:50:14 AM
I'm in the UK so no issue with the voltage all 240  Wink

Dear All

If thinking of buying this PSU for an S4 with the older M4 ring terminals, this is the reply I received from Bitmain.

Hello sir,

when you are making order,

you need to make a comment that you need M4 ring connectors. that way factory will prepare everything and ship.
but please be sure that they have understood you fully. and that you do not need bunch of 6 pins.

send them a picture if needed, that you require type 1 (m4's with one 6 pin). or red cables.
just be crystal clear. so they do not mix order.

Hope this makes it clear how to order

good luck

I just received my APW3-12-1600 PSU that I want to connect to my S4 that has the M4 ring connectors.
Even though I mentioned this when purchasing as suggested by support the PSU arrived with PCI connectors.
However I did come with a power adaptor board.
Can you send me instructions as to how to connect the original cables to this board.
Also the APW3-12-1600 PSU has 12 PCI connectors and the board has only 8 connectors.
Which ones do I use - some included instructions would be helpful or put it in the manual

Just sent this message to support.

The saga goes on Sad

I knew that would happen with your order about the connectors.  That is why I held off.  They tell you to let them know that you need the ring term connectors but there is no place to do that when ordering that I'm aware of.  And that they would install them for you.  Does it fit ok in the case?
The controller is the board that is in front of the psu and has the one pci-e connector.

WTF! seems their interface needs some work.  Looks like your sharing (for a short time) other users hashes.  Or Ghash.io doesn't know what to make of this new hardware. Roll Eyes

406  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5+ is available to order, 7.722TH/S 0.445J/GH on: August 15, 2015, 12:44:58 AM
I see 8.9BTC not 6.6BTC.

you are mistaking my post on bitmaintech's hashnet division.

they are offering 10th for 6.66btc

they opened the cloud contract and the beast miner on the same day.

I purchased the cloud contract as the beast will not work for me until winter power rates start in OCT

It is not cloud mining contract.
This is a BTC loan with very small percentage .

Exactly!  I don't see any benefit in helping give Bitmain an advance on their operating costs.  I enjoy mining as much as anyone.
But only if after the principal is paid you walk away with used S5's or some collateral, other than that it's a loan.
407  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yesminer M20 / M10 on: August 14, 2015, 06:15:21 PM
Yesminer, I say No-miner at this time.  Wait a lil.

Throwing this back on-topic a bit - have been playing with pushing the Compac a little harder.

Here's a video of it hashing away at ~20.39Gh/s @ 375MHz.  Might want to mute audio, unless you're OZR from our good friends over at the main Russian Bitcoin forum - he seemed to enjoy the fan noise last time, throwing in a little extra in this one Smiley

Quick grab of those stats before I hit post (edit: updated, ~20.55Gh/s as early errors have less influence):

Wow.. I thought the flashy lights were annoying. Grin
But you aren't running a fan for cooling?
409  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer R1 on: August 13, 2015, 06:51:29 PM
But No actual specs on hashrate or if its self cooled.
410  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer R1 on: August 13, 2015, 06:48:34 PM
Instead of serious toys they work on TinkerToys?  If it indeed will mine I doubt pool options would be available and as said would be directed to Antpool or Hashnest.  Fun possibilities but there surely is a catch which benefits Bitmain.
411  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer R1 on: August 13, 2015, 06:28:56 PM
Anyone have more information than Bitmain has posted on their website yet? What they DO have posted is very uninformative and confusing.

https://www.antpool.com/user/antRouter.htm

It DOES make me wonder if they intend to put WiFi (or some sort of wireless anyway) capability in their next generation miner(s).

Good find.  But Yes and No.  This looks to be just a wireless bridge.  The miner itself wouldn't to need to have wireless capabilities.
412  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: August 13, 2015, 04:51:28 PM
And still waiting..... please post results asap.
413  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: August 13, 2015, 03:42:30 AM
More than likely they caught on to Bitmain's greed and are mining with them (testing them) right now.
Waiting for the halving of Litecoin at least.
414  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New antminer S-5+ selling options on: August 13, 2015, 03:37:48 AM
Center section only. Cheesy  Can't see myself wasting more on + models.  The wait has been long but will need to wait a little longer (biting lip).
415  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience BM1384 Project Development Discussion on: August 12, 2015, 06:19:47 PM
I've held out but need to get my hands on a few for fun.  Flashy lights and all.  Keep it all rollin'.
416  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S2 upgrade kit? EDIT: BITMAIN WHERE ARE YOU?!?! on: August 11, 2015, 10:31:21 PM
They already gave us a coupons for buying S4s.

...so it should stand to reason that they can find out which former customers let all those S4 coupons lapse.
When I've asked about lapsed coupons they were more than anxious to sell me something that moment for a deal rather than reissue new coupons.  Very excitedly through email they only wanted to know how many and when and replies ceased after asking about coupons.
417  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S2 upgrade kit? EDIT: BITMAIN WHERE ARE YOU?!?! on: August 11, 2015, 06:19:36 PM
The only shame they bring on themselves is for the second time saying it's in the works, it's almost available and then nothing.  Companies grow too large the greedier they get and lose transparency.  The only hope is they come when they release their new offering.
418  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Power Supply Selection on: August 10, 2015, 05:01:35 AM
I ran a CoolerMaster 1050w atx psu for two of my non-overclocked S3's but an Evga 1300w psu should be more than ample or a 1200w.  Server psu's can be a little whiny compared to the quieter S3.
419  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CloudThink.IO NEW 8TH/s Imperator Bitcoin Miner - Apply for a FREE test unit on: August 09, 2015, 04:11:11 PM
No need to say any more.
They are not paid of investment any more from August 6th.
They are certainly a scammers.
Also they did not shipping product of order.

I don't like UK in business.

BitcionCloudServices(UK), Clouthink(UK), Pbmining(Canada)
I lost thousands of dollars in a place like this.
I am so angry because anything I can do.

I think cloudmining is basically fraud.

What can I doing? Help me.
PBMining had regular payouts for over a year and a half,  have they too been defunk.  I have an account I guess I will check.
Would be nice if the community could come together and develop our own patrol of scams and the ability to act on it.
Of course it would be called something with a three letter abbreviation.

You have PBMining account and you haven't noticed that payouts are 1/1000 of what they should be?! The failure of PBMining ponzi scam has been very well documented on BTCtalk. You should probably catch up.
Indeed I did notice that months ago but haven't invested much there so I blew it off.  They should of said payouts for 1 year then cut in half each additional.  Thanks for the heads up.
420  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: August 09, 2015, 06:56:55 AM
If you read all the pages then you would have had your answer and noticed everyone still believes it's possible even though Bitmain has taken that ability away it seems.  If you want a true answer hit up dogie.  Quit talking smack about people trying to help.

I have asked doogie & no answer.... again if u bothered to read the whole thread!

I'm asking the board in general to see if anyone has ACTUALLY done it??

Not asking someone rude f%$k for links (None of which work as it seems he hasn't bothered to try it himself - Which is an even lamer response - if u havent done it don't give advice unless u know it works)

What would u have said if i had gone & done what u said & i bricked my miner???

All due care taken, No responsibility accepted???

And for ur information, Prelude & smit have a voltage working firmware (Except for the J7 problem) but are not giving it out cause its really bitmain's job & no one tipped smit for his work..  (I have however offered smit & prelude btc for the voltage firmware but to this day they are not willing to hand it over)

Thanks for nothing, Smack Head!
Your a di
Your a d!ck and your family and parents hate you don't they?  Go away and find your answers on your own.
