Shock results on the Chelsea and Arsenal games this weekend defeated by the underdogs. Tonights Man U vs Southampton game should be a good one. I think it'll be close but Manchester will pinch it. Going for 2-1.

Dang, I thought it'd take years to recoup costs just from fees but I guess not, though it does say prime locations so I imagine it'll be much less in quieter places like a coffeeshop or something that isn't in a major city. Still, nice to see them doing surprisingly well.

Work your way up the bitcointalk ranks and join a signature campaign.
Its pretty good.

If you can get on one. There's a shortage of them at the moment and pretty much all the spots are filled.
407  Other / Off-topic / Re: Study finds marijuana can increase your IQ on: November 21, 2014, 06:45:39 PM
Are they claiming weed gives you enhanced brain function like happens in the movie Limitless? Pretty sure weed wont make you smarter no matter what strain you smoke or how much. I'm sure it alters your perception and could highten certain artistic sensibilities or make you concentrate more on some specific tests but not much.
408  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: November 21, 2014, 06:39:45 PM
@MUFC I think LuckyBit frees places when they pay the members, so you can try joining them. But from what I've seen, they get taken quickly. : /

True, but you have to place a bet on their site to be eligible now. PrimeDice is re-opening soon but it might not be open to Full Members.
409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why would Satoshi not be dumping? on: November 21, 2014, 05:55:48 PM
- Maybe he will dump them and he's just waiting to become a trillionaire?
- maybe he's dead
- maybe he's just a top bloke and doesn't think it's fair to spend them?
- Maybe he sees the potential like most of us and can do more good with them in the future.

Who knows, only time will tell.
410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price - Up or Down on: November 21, 2014, 05:30:06 PM
Why try so hard to predict something which can't be predicted?
Reminds me of weather forecasts.

Because it's fun for some people who don't have anything better to do? Speculation will always be speculation as it is made by those who are biased with their own interests and based off nothing but either wishful thinking or trolling/fud. And at least weather forecasts are at least based on some science and data at least.
411  Economy / Economics / Re: Price and use of Bitcoin on: November 21, 2014, 05:18:30 PM
Poor, poor academics. They were trying to correlate BTC price with a few variables like news mentions and Google searches when the only advice anyone needs is HODL.

Uhh, google searches? Price? Related? Just...
Hmm, though the popularity of the bitcoin is really a great factor on its adoption, but the price? I don't understand. o.O

It's only logical that google searches will rise when the price does. Can you imagine how many people are frantically trying to search for news of why it's happening?
412  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling Hero Account on: November 21, 2014, 05:11:23 PM
I wonder what a Legendary account would sell for.. Haven't seen one yet for sale that I'm aware of?  (Not that I agree with this mind you)

I saw Phineaus Gage aka Gleb Gammow claim he would sell his today but you never know if he's being serious or not.

BadBear changed acc selling rules now, itsn ot that secure to buy them - just fyi buyers.

Where did he say this? I think this is just fud because some account seller recently said something similar probably because he got all his accounts banned for spamming and he now thinks badbear has banned account selling.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but looks like Coinut will have a deal coming out shortly as they're running a signature design contest for it. Hopefully we might see some decent competition between campaigns around these parts very soon.
414  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CANDYSTRIPES IS A SCAMMER on: November 21, 2014, 04:54:01 PM
Candy, you really handled this very immaturely. It reminds me of you when you spammed the Moneypot chat to get a 300 dollar loan because you got scammed and defaulted by many members here. I don't think I would have been able to trust you with that amount due to lack of maturity as well as professionalism and not knowing who to trust with your money. I could have easily lost that bitcoin had i given you the loan.

He really did that? I think he only started loaning money out to build some rep and feedback but doesn't look like that worked out well. Loaning money is pointless other than for the rep as you're going to get scammed eventually if you don't take full collateral.

I was thinking the opposite. After seeing haploid and several other's threads, I thought it would be profitable to start giving out small loans with interest. My luck ran out by the 3rd loan Sad.

It always will if you don't get colleteral. And are you sure haploid is in profit (or in much)? Most lenders will lose out eventually because the interest is so little so when someone scams you for 0.4 or whatever the amount is it can easily put you in the red, not to mention all the other little amounts that all add up.
415  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Payment Recieved scam on: November 21, 2014, 03:34:03 PM
*Top Tip*
If within 48 hours we do not receive your confirmation, your wallet will
be erased and all their bitcoins will be reset.

This is my favorite bit. I wonder where bitcoins go once they are 'reset'? lol.

I recently activated my yubikey for blockchain.info.
So, I am wondering, if I would have fallen for that, would I have a problem?
Yes. You would enter your identifier/password into the phishing site along with your yubikey code then the attacker could instantly enter the same information into blockchain.info and have access to your wallet.

The best solution is to have the site bookmarked and always check it's the legit site first before you put anything in. 2 factor likely wont help you if you type that in as well but the site might be just hoping you don't have 2-factor set up.
416  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hmmm, western union or bitcoin? on: November 21, 2014, 03:11:40 PM
Obviously there's a massive benefit to using bitcoin to send money around the world or even domestically, but you will still need to find someone to exchange the btc for cash so you need to factor that fee as well. What would be the easiest and cheapest way for a novice to sell their coins for cash with minimal fees?
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where can one spend small amounts of bitcoin? on: November 21, 2014, 01:50:14 PM
https://uk.webuy.com/

You can spend and also recieve payments for buying and selling second hand media like cds and dvds etc on computer exchange. Most of their cds are under £5 and have thousands for very cheap £1 and even under (but it's UK only I think).
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mozilla now accept BTC on: November 21, 2014, 01:49:27 PM
Glad to see they finally caved in to requests. Just shows that if people ask we can sway companies to get involved. There's no reason why companies shouldn't accept btc donations as it is costless to them and also very likely cheaper than accepting donations via Paypal and creditcards etc.
419  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | The Most Popular Bitcoin Game | 1% Edge | Active Chat | Free BTC on: November 21, 2014, 11:52:52 AM
see this is how you do it. this is about the 23rd,24th roll out of 100

then click autobot off and back to Fox News

you win and you get out. very simple. i learned that from dooglus

Easier said than done, especially if you don't win at first  Cheesy. That's the risk with gambling, most people don't know when to quit and get carried away with the buzz. If you win you think you can keep it up, but if you lose you immediately want to try win your money back and that's where the problems can start. Gambling is much more fun if you've got self-control and can stick to your allotted budget and now your limits.
420  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-11-13] CNN: One year on from peak price, what does the future hold? on: November 21, 2014, 11:43:22 AM
Hard to believe it was a year. Doesn't seem that long ago at all.

It will certainly be exciting to see the next 12 months!  Woohoo!

Winklevoss twins ETF should go live.

I suspect more ATMs will be released.

More merchants will start accepting.

Perhaps we'll get more regulatory guidance?

I think that's mostly what people said about this year  Cheesy.

2015 is going to be the year of Bitcoin. Or maybe 2016. or '17  Grin. I think people should worry less abotu the curent price and more on adoption as that is the thing that will ultimately fuel a price hike.

2014 was an amazing year for BTC but not for the "get rich quick trolls"  Cheesy
compared to december 2013 it is very quiet here in the forum. i like that. most new members dont understand BTC and dont want to take time for that . thats good for the tech-guys that stay and know what they are doing and investing.

I was merely a lurker in late Nov but it did seem very hectic around that time and I guess it was due to the excitement of the price rise and the influx of those newbs looking to get rich quick. Most have probably just left or jumped ship to the alt coin section trying to get rich there now.
