401  Other / Meta / Re: My account was hacked - I got it back. on: July 18, 2016, 04:04:22 PM
Would be easier if OP just stay silent.  There's no need to prove your innocence when you've done nothing wrong.  Announcing it will just make people suspicious (see above).

Anyway, since the message have been verified I think you can lock the topic now.
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overcoming halving on: July 18, 2016, 03:57:28 PM
What exactly do you mean by 'overcoming' the halving?  There will be more halvings in the future, that's for sure.
Or if you're talking about the drop, read below.

There's nothing to overcome, the price has rise for sometime and it has been hovering around $650+ which is enough for miners to maintain a profit, as seen from the small difficulty change estimate. This halving had literally no impact on big miners since most of them have already ROIed and they are making pure profits right now. For normal Bitcoin users, they would be happy to see the price rising.

It's true that people should be happy with the current price unless they've bought at the top, but it seems to me that a lot of expected the price to rise all the way up after the halving even though we have stayed well below $680 for around 20~ months.
403  Other / Meta / Re: Time to change your passwords on: July 18, 2016, 06:53:12 AM
Anyone who received the email has already changed their password.

No one uses the old database that was leaked.

So are all the recent string of hacks just from accounts that havent been used in ages? There was literally one guy on yesterday that got hacked whos password was cheung24234 or similar. Thats not bruteforced so he either got phished or they used the old hashes.

That was me. Robertt-.

I won't say how I got it but it doesn't involve the db or phishing.

Well theres not a whole lot of options is there. I doubt your sending trojans out all over the place, I doubt your even using linux. I doubt you bruteforced it unless you have access to some pretty powerful computers. the only option is the database. Im more than confident you dont have any 0day hacks like you suggest.

If you haven't noticed, I did stop. And I'm not reporting anything because I'm done with this fucking forum. Stunna will keep ignoring me, I'm basically wasting my fucking time.

Good.  Better leave and never come back because you as a person have been banned from this forum anyway.  If you're so skilled go bother primedice instead of bitcointalk.
404  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 2.6.4, something odd happened. on: July 14, 2016, 11:10:56 AM
Did you verify the integrity of the download?

https://electrum.org/#download

Try reinstalling electrum and verify the integrity of the package, then try to reproduce this bug and see if it happens again.

Maybe your files got corrupted or something, because it looks like a weird bug.

I did.  I downloaded, verified, and reinstalled again before trying to send out some btc to another wallet but it won't happen again.  Also I've done 4 transactions (plus many unsigned tx when trying to reproduce it to take a screenshot) after I wrote this thread but never got the same problem again.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin tracking on: July 13, 2016, 05:58:19 PM
Hello all. Can anyone tell me how to track bitcoins. I know, using blockchain, but it any advanced way? I got only to blockchain Tree Chart and I have to click on every transaction to show other ones... but is there any way that I will check one BTC transaction and "search" if did bitcoins from there end on one exact another address?

I don't know of any explorers that can do it.  Blockchain.info's transaction tree view is probably the best there is.

Quote
I mean is there any way to find out connection between two BTC addresses?

Yes: by transaction.  But again, there's no known explorer that can make it easier.

Quote
And different question: If I know 2 BTC addresses, is it possible to find out if they are from same person (or wallet)?

No unless:
1. There's a transaction linking them (that you know of).
2. You have their wallet or master public key.
406  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: error on electrum wallet on: July 13, 2016, 05:44:42 PM
Apparently the latest versions won't work on windows XP.  Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1375317.0
Try out the older versions instead.  Electrum 2.5.4 worked fine for me when I still use XP.
407  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: custom btc address in blockchain on: July 13, 2016, 10:02:26 AM
than for share the guide is quite complicated ..is there simple one to do it ..and then import to blockchain will work or not

I can guide you how to create your own vanity address using the link redsn0w has provided. Send me a pm if interested

i have pmed you ..please help me out to do it

No offense to BBHex but I think it'll be better for you to ask someone trusted like shorena instead.  Since you don't seem to know anything about creating a vanity address, it'll be easy for anyone to fool you and give you a non split-key vanity address (meaning that they can spend any bitcoins in that address).
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving event: expectation vs. reality on: July 09, 2016, 11:58:00 AM
I'm still on the happy camper group right now.  Halving being priced in or not, we still got a healthy price increase overall on the last few months up until mid-june.  People should be content with that much of increase, especially the guys who's been holding since last year.  If the price increases further more in the next weeks then that's a ++.
409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does anyone here give trading tips to friends? on: July 09, 2016, 11:45:49 AM
I generally avoid giving any tips unless I am sure enough that it will work.  In trading nothing is really guaranteed (can't give any sure tips other than the usual buy low sell high crap.) so that's a no unless you tell your friend that it have decent chance to go wrong beforehand.
410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving began much earlier on: July 08, 2016, 03:49:11 PM
Not even sure what you are trying to show us here.  What's google trends have to do with bitcoin halving date?

the big question realated to halving is if it is all priced in allready. intention is to show relevant data to this very topic

I see...  Personally I don't think that halving is priced in already, but what you posted doesn't really explain anything about whether that is the case or not.  In the first place, making any assumption about the halving by using google search graphs doesn't make any sense.

412  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you buy btc before the Block reward halving? on: July 07, 2016, 06:02:04 PM
I have no clue what it really does..
http://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/

But should i buy btc now? many people say btc price will increase because of the halving.

What it really does is halves the mining reward from 25BTC per block to 12.5BTC per block.  Making it more costly to mine bitcoins.  Many people believe that this will make the price go higher.  Of course, it can still go the other way around, but if you think that it will increase then this is the perfect time to buy.
413  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum problem when sending out on: July 07, 2016, 04:22:12 PM
If it's a 'dust' error and you're using the latest version then it's probably similar problem to this.  You can see if it's the case or not by checking the view transaction before signing option in the preferences.  Though in my case, it fixed itself after I restarted electrum.
414  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCJam, possible scam?? on: July 03, 2016, 07:57:06 PM
Brilliant thank you will try this soon,
Is there any types of accepted collateral other then crypto currencys??

Yes, and you can find them on the second post of this thread.  Basically most things that can be sold but can't be gotten back easily by the borrower.

So I just has a look,
I have gold but how can I use that as collateral?? Say I asked for 1btc with the interest of 5-8% for 45-90 days how would that go down??

You can always use precious metals as collateral provided that they can be sold for the amount of your loan or higher.
Also in case you don't know, you'll have to hand it over to an escrow or the lender.  This means shipping internationally (and mostly you will be paying the shipping fee) depending on circumstances.

416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much does selling an account cost? on: July 03, 2016, 12:42:22 AM
It cost time to make an account with high rank.  High ranked account can be used to apply to signature campaign to earn some bitcoins.  The price of an account appears to change depending on the average payment of signature campaigns for each rank.
417  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum 2.6.4, something odd happened. on: July 01, 2016, 03:13:08 AM
It generates a change address when it shouldn't.  I included what's left of my balance to the fee so the change address is not receiving anything.
This causes the rejected because of dust error when I try to rebroadcast it.

Edit:
Gone after I closed an reopened electrum. Couldn't take a screenie but looks like someone reported the same problem on github.
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Views on Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) on: July 01, 2016, 02:27:23 AM
I don't really like it.  IMO if it gets implemented it won't be long before services asks for our identity before processing deposits.  Then you can kiss your anonymity good bye.
419  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blochain.info i need help on: July 01, 2016, 01:45:38 AM
Hello, i wanted to ask, is there any way to lower the fees on blockchain.info? The fees are really high for me because i dont have much btc its like i have 0.00036 now and the fee is 0.0003 thats way too much i think.. So anyone knows there is a setting or knows an good wallet (no coinbase) ?
Looks like you are a faucet earner or small earner.. if you really want to have a wallet with low fee.. try electrum you can pay fee 10k sat as minimum fee..
or you can use bit-x wallet or xapo they have no fee for every transaction..

By the way, doesnt it take very long to confirm a transaction with no fee on xapo?

Xapo won't charge anything and will pay the fee for you.  Bit-x (now they're called coinsbank) will deduct 0.0001 from your balance and will pay the rest of the fee for you (iirc).
420  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: HELP!! with electrum on: July 01, 2016, 01:41:25 AM
Can't you export the private keys using the old version and import it to the new version? I've never tried electrum 1.8 so I'm not completely sure if the option exist.
After that you can create a new wallet and transfer all bitcoins to the new wallet if you want.
