Wow  Angry, I haven't been checking on any of my coins since maybe June and just found this out... I had coins on Mintpal but don't remember specifics, I know I had UTC and BTC on there ... was probably 0.08BTC worth of coins if I remember correctly  Cry

Read thru the thread and get a hold of the appropriate people, even if it is such a small amount. Fuck this guy(alex).
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Satoshi Nakamoto be world's first trillionaire ? on: November 18, 2014, 01:46:38 AM
This is still fantasy.
Bitcoin will have many competitors soon. Who knows what the price will be.

If u r talking about Alts, none is close as of yet. The combined market-cap of all the alts are far lower than Bitcoin's market-cap alone.
I read an article several months ago that said the combined market cap for all altcoins is roughly 20% of that of bitcoin, although I think this number has gone down as altcoins have done poorly over the past several months.

Another issue with this is that altcoins are much less secure then bitcoin is, and when you add that to the fact that altcoins add nothing to the table that bitcoin does not provide you will result in all altcoins ultimately failing.

I see ALT coins nothing more than marketing value. Formainstream adoption it's all about merchant integration, as far as I have seen BTC and Doge lead the market for that.

Buyers can use the currency to purchase tickets for popular films playing in theatres across the US or Canada.

We've just launched our public beta and we are offering $2.00 USD off a movie ticket with promotional code "reddit" until December 30th, 2014.

During our beta testing, please use the "enter zip code" search bar in the top right corner to find a theatre close to you. Once you've submitted an order for tickets, you will receive the tickets via email within 30 minutes in PDF Format.

Any questions, concerns, or feedback please contact Richard at support@flixforcoins.com

Hey there.I saw a post on reddit that was looking for your product, so I shared it. Looks like some are having trouble with load times. Here's the link! http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2mf58t/anyone_know_where_to_buy_local_movie_tickets/
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The greener side : Bitcoin being used to heat buildings on: November 15, 2014, 08:55:39 AM
Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that because of the economics. If money is saved by using the waste heat then the savings will be spent on more mining.

Hopefully mining efficiency in the future will let this happen in a way the will benefit the current system. Woop woop
406  Economy / Services / Re: Would sell my signature - senior on: November 15, 2014, 08:46:57 AM
Are there any open sig campaigns right now? I would sell my sig for 0.08-0.1 btc per month. Would post not less than 100 posts per month. Most posts are in english.

Very rookie question here.  Once i achieve status, how does one create a referral signature program?
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Can We Make Bitcoin Mainstream? on: November 15, 2014, 08:38:47 AM
I think the best think is to keep on taking on small, innovative projects that fill the tech and knowledge gaps. Keep up the good work everyone Smiley!
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coindesk: Western Union CIO is mining Bitcoins on: November 15, 2014, 08:36:45 AM
That's pretty cool to see. I think a bunch of the big financial people are holding at least a few behind closed doors. Perhaps even involved with manipulation. Either way, awesome. They see the potential, it's just a matter of time. BTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTC
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rejoice! Bitcoin IS Bitcoin 2.0 ... on: November 15, 2014, 08:33:27 AM

in bitcoin 9.0, 1 bitcoin = 9 bitcoin, 1 on each fork.

ohh and that was a terribly boring presentation.

1 Bitcoin > 1 Bitcoin!

Partnership of 50-50
It might be best to just pay and hire a developer. A lot of people are looking for developers with ideas that may not be so good, and the developer might just be wasting their time on it.

For sure. Hit up Jobs for Doges and Jobs for Bitcoins on Reddit. You will find someone most likely, if not gooogle the Jobs for bitcoin services, lots of people looking for BTC paying jobs =)

414  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Circle.com? Anyone used a credit card with them? Cash advance or purchase? on: November 15, 2014, 07:32:26 AM
This is the best way to buy btc, period. They are super fast, well actually instant if you link a bank account. Yes, credit cards are cash advances. Just use a throw away bank account and link it to circle. Don't use that bank account for anything but circle.

Fack ya. While i was reading that i was picturing a church and preachers and bunch of Bitcoin people singing
415  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: buy bitcoins easy on: November 15, 2014, 06:53:35 AM
Hey there,

I have a decent list of quick methods to acquire crypto currencies going here http://yocrypto.ca/crypto-currency-essentials/buy-sell-and-exchange-crypto-currency/. You can go the exchange route or a third party selling service usually more expensive but quick, Circle is super good and fast for USA (I'm in canada, they let me buy Bitcoin with my account in two seconds, but not cash back out), Trucoin also seems great and quick everywhere but Canada, and Cavirtex is what i use to exchange back into CAD.
Thanks for the link Smiley I'm gonna look into the Circle one because I am also in Canada and usually have problems finding a quick cheaper way to purchase my BTC Smiley Appreciate that mate Smiley Cheers

OOoo awesome, NP at all! Yeah circles great, and defiantly try checkouts with CAvirtex, CAD exchange. The setup takes a day or so, they send 2 small deposits to confirm bank ACCT
416  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Circle.com? Anyone used a credit card with them? Cash advance or purchase? on: November 15, 2014, 06:51:51 AM
I do agree. One good thing is your BTC/$ in your Circle account is insured 100%.

No way! Didn't know this. I'm in Canada and they let me purchase but not withdraw yet.  Still use it all the time, love it. But glad to hear 100% issuarnce. This will be 100% crucial in the future of crypto financial services.
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why I think cryptocurrency market is a fake on: November 15, 2014, 06:12:13 AM
Hi, this is my first message in the board so greetings everybody.

Well, I have been following the cryptocoin market for a while. I have felt the temptation to get involved quite a few times since it looks the only promising initiative to allow citizens decide their own future. By the way clarify that I am a libertarian, Austrian advocate, despite I am aware of flaws in Austrian economics which makes me a bit a Popperian more that a Hayekian. As an IT contractor I have got involved in projects for Central Banks and Statistical Offices in Europe so I known a bit how the mainstream works and what they intend.

Despite I have thought getting my hands dirty on the crypto world, my (few) approaches to it has been always disappointing. I see that main cryptocoin providers has run away of proposing any ideological battle. Nobody speaks about what ethics is (against morals), what negative liberty means, why the current scientific method (as the foundation of current monetarism) is a logical mistake, what is the difference between positive and normative economics, and what I see in the bitworld is: bits, block chains, mining and hardware. Nothing else. Dissappointing. Huh

So, which is my conclusion of this? If you realize, most of the cryptocompanies have been created out of investors, which instead are feed by Federal Reserve, by BoJ, by ECB injections and by the full mainstream economic machinery. They are no proposing anything new but looking for an alternative way to balance their investments. And this is in my opinion a thief. They have stolen the initial Shatoshi idea, they have occupied it, emptied of any content and they look for to do more of the same carry trade business.  Huh

I have created a discussion board (http://ponzinomics.org/) which I have maintained for 3 months and this is my first attempt trying to hit the market to propose the battle of ideas. The board sits on current mainstream economics and the "current real world", trying to enroll people from all ideologies and trying to make them understand how current system works as a whole. Obviously, as an Austrian I want to convince others why Austrian ideas are better than keynesian models based on the scientific method, but I want to hear opinion of others as well. I have not found this proposal in any place on the whole web, so if you challenge the idea, I want to create a community about it and maybe "evangelize".

That said, I want to hear your opinions about why cryptoworld is not a fake since is funded by the mainstream and does not propose any new ideas just other way to do more of the same thing.

Everyone thinks they understand it.  I always chuckle at day traders... speculators.  It's 5 years old. Nobody, has the experience, to give a knowledgeable judgement on its value.

419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: November 15, 2014, 06:05:07 AM
I'm officially writing this one off as a loss...

I just Praise God, that I can "write off" my losses, in that I lost less than $50.

I cannot imagine those that lost thousands or millions, they're probably out for raging hot blood.

To them, I know not what to say.

Except that, repent and accept Jesus if you haven't, is definitely one way of facing true wickedness.

Matthew 5 is perhaps relevant here.

"If someone sues you and gets Bitcoin from you, give him your Litecoin as well."

38Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. 41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

This, cannot,be written off a loss. I didn't lose anything to that assclown, but there has to be a portion of the few k in dogecoin tips that found its way there.  I will never forget about this and i hope other feel the same way.  Accountability comes in many different forms.
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A brief guide to preparation for businesses considering Bitcoin integration on: November 15, 2014, 01:47:47 AM
I find that it's hard to recall the steps that lead to Bitcoin knowledge and it's easy to overlook stuff.

Oh, I recall the steps, just not sure they'll want to replicate the full bootcamp experience, vis, wrestling with a flaky GPU for a week trying to get it hashing, camping a month in the BFL trollbox, getting minorly scammed a couple of times...

Hahahahaha that made me laugh.  I think the full Bitcoin Bible would be pretty fuckin' thick.
