401  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Private Spotify Accounts | 1 Full Year Service | ONLY $5 on: April 08, 2018, 09:33:40 PM
I received a vouch copy. The credentials provided to me are for a Premium for Family account based out of Brazil. I know that the title of this thread says "Private" accounts, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I tried to add a member to the account, so that I can essentially have my own account included on this family premium account but I could not get past the verification process. That's quite alright, as I've managed to log in to the account that OP has originally provided.

I'm currently listening to Spotify using the account on another device, an iPad, while logged into a VPN, and all is working fine. This is the first day that I'm using this, but I'll periodically update this thread with the status of the account.

Cheers
402  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit Source @digaran has gone too far on: April 08, 2018, 09:23:21 PM
I'm not sure why i've got dragged into this. I don't farm merits, and I don't sell or exchange them.

He makes blind accusations by calling everyone with an established account an alt of another established account. So far, he has called me an alt of @DarkStar_ and @bill gator. I don’t know how you ended up on his radar, but it just goes to show you how irrational his behavior is.
403  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit Source @digaran has gone too far on: April 08, 2018, 08:23:18 PM
Since it's about a merit source, I'd say it's related to the forum, and fits the Meta board. But the title could be improved (suggestion: replace "User" by "Merit source").

I was actually thinking about it but couldn't exactly figure out where it should be.I mean usually all the DT member related queries (that is if a specific member is mentioned) are discussed in the Reputation board right ? I applied the same logic here.Title should be changed indeed.

Done and done. So back to Meta it goes... lol damnit
404  Other / Meta / Re: New here! A lot of weird shit... on: April 08, 2018, 08:08:15 PM
He literally said he is new to cryptos so.....

Ah, you're right. And after reviewing @suboz's post history with the subjective view of him being an alt, it's actually quite apparent that they are a reincarnated member of the forums lol

Yup it is really strange you are new to BCT and yet you managed to get yourself familiar with ICO and Ann threads , not only that but also got a task to manage an ICO . All this in just 2 days . And as far as I know the forums you was member in for long time did not have any kind of ICO or Ann threads .

- You are really smart and super
OR
- You are not new to this forum you just need new start .   Wink

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3272506.msg34118285#msg34118285

I don't know how I missed this, but very good find. I hardly feel that a Newbie will have learned the knowledge enough to look for community managers, especially when learning so much about the different aspects of the forums, like how to buy a Copper membership, but then asking questions like "what's merit" when there are literally 13,671 topics dedicated to it...
405  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: April 08, 2018, 08:01:03 PM

That was a really haeavy attack this morning (I was wondering if Theymos had accidentally pulled the plug out or something)...

nah, it was an issue with bitcointalk.org subdomains and a TLS error:

Sorry about the TLS error downtime. What happened was that I used to have separate certs for bitcointalk.org and *.bitcointalk.org, but I forgot that I combined them last time, so when I renewed *.bitcointalk.org, I didn't update the certificate on the bitcointalk.org server. And I have Cloudflare's strict TLS enforcement enabled, so it just killed the connection as soon as it expired.
406  Economy / Reputation / Re: User @digaran has gone too far on: April 08, 2018, 07:58:01 PM
1.This thread should be moved to - > Reputation since this isn't a forum related issue.

2.Do you see that "ignore" button ? Try it,does wonders.

3.I don't think you quite make a valid case for someone to be thrown out as a merit source.I mean maybe they have a slightly different opinions about your stuff but that doesn't mean they are incapable of judging one's post quality.I could be wrong though.

Also,

Quote
show me some respect I'm a merit source
^^ This is where you reply them with a big "Fuck You"

Thanks for the tip; I just moved it. I had the user ignored for a few weeks, but others just keep messaging me about him, or other users would quote his posts, to which I feel inclined to have to reply Tongue

This isn't my case to have them removed as a merit source; I can put together a ton more context for that issue... This is just to have these posts (at least the first two) deleted and maybe the user be reprimanded for their flagrant actions.
407  Economy / Reputation / Merit Source @digaran has gone too far on: April 08, 2018, 07:45:54 PM
This user has gone too far. He has a problem with me, probably because of my Signatureless Challenge and the methods in which it awards deserving members of merits and my personal cash as a reward for posting great quality content on these forums.

I just try to ignore this user, but his posts are now becoming defamatory, libelous and slanderous. I am taking offense to his posts about me, which are unwarranted, and often out of thin air. It's not like he is posting on the tail end of my topics that I post in... Often times, I am only made aware of his posts about me from other users pointing it out. I don't cross paths with him often, but it seems as if he throws my name around quite constantly, which surprises me, as I could not care less about this user.

Until now.

It has reached the point where the things he says are becoming a problem and are meant purely to attack my character. They are never a given context to the topic he is posting in, and the unwarranted/unjustified posts are getting out of hand.

Furthermore, he is a merit source, which I consider to be an extension of the forums, which means he is a representative for the forums. He throws his weight around, regarding this matter, and publicly vocalizes his disdain for the current merit system and the ways that others reward merits for each other. This is fine, and all, but when it became insulting towards others is when it has become a problem.

I have tried to talk to this individual before. I have pleaded with him to stop talking about me. I have tried ignoring him. And this has been done to no avail. It's now getting worse. I don't know what to do in this situation, so I thought I'd post here and get the community's input. Am I just being overdramatic with this? I'd really like for this user to stop talking about me, but he doesn't seem to get it.

Are these types of posts acceptable here? Tell me that they are, and I'll drop the subject matter and simply ignore this user.

Here are some posts that he's written (please keep in mind that I have not provoked him to post any of these things; he's done it all out of the blue and on his own):

Here, he is joking about the merit system and about selling merits. And then he goes on to insult me; I have never posted in that thread or have anything to do with 1Katoshi.

What would you do then? I'm only interested in receiving money without doing the job. show me some respect I'm a merit source. you should call your new version 2 Katoshi. if you accept me as a team member, we could put some merits for sale. $100 per merit. buyers should also join BTCforJoe's challenge in order to receive merits. I need to get rid of BTCforJoe. there has been a few complaints about the soup in the public kitchen where he is helping 100 poor families whilst teaching us humility lessons by having his balls in our throats.
(archive.is)

Here he is again insulting my charity work IRL. I run a soup kitchen and food bank where I feed underprivileged families, and here he is insulting the humanitarian work that I do and posting slanderously about me.

A fair warning for the OP. you should know if you are joining the challenge of the humble BTCforJoe. he used to put his balls in 100 underprivileged families mouths every morning before pouring them some soup, probably mixed with his cum. after writing some posts with good English and getting your merits. go the nearest public kitchen and open your mouth.

Next time, when you go to somebody's house, don't tell them what a shitty house they have. every new member posting a thread like this, it would make this forum a welcoming forum.
(archive.is)

Here he is calling my challenge a "merit farm". I put a lot of time and energy into the challenge, and I genuinely care about the overall health of these forums, as is evident by the money and time I put into this challenge on a weekly basis:

I wonder if alia is still around with his (what now? alia wasn't a girl? some girl did show her pussy though on camera) alts?
Sir Jet Cash the second, why don't you register another account and farm some merits in Joe's merit farming topic? not only it is allowed, you could get 73 merits for encouraging the merit farming.

Here he is altering a quote, and then further providing racist bigotry:

Thanks for the support, guys. now lets gang bang this beggar who'd got lucky to become a source.

Yup, gang bang me. apparently I'm all alone in this and staff made a mistake to make me a source. mexxer-2 where are you man? I need more undeserved merits, these niggers are gang banging me. <Insert lols>.
(archive.is)

Continuing to be a racist bigot (he hid this statement inside of a black glow wall at 2pt size):

Don DS, note that everything I've just said above, is an act, lies. we all know that I'm a lier, beggar who would do anything to earn money. I will merit 1 at a time and wont merit the family members in rows. like 1 merit to a random nigger, 1 merit to one of the gang members of the don DarkStar_leone.
Disclaimer: I need merits, where is my supervisor a.k.a mexxer-2 to give me merits in bulk? don't make me beg, I'm trying to build a character here. just a single lol.

I fear that if this is not dealt with now that it will only get worse.

At the very least, I would love for this user to get reprimanded, or at least have the above posts deleted. At the most, I'd love for a staff member to review his post history and ask themselves if they would really like for this individual to continue going around the forums as a representative of the forums as a merit source.

Thanks for hearing me out.

Now you just made things personal. Why do you have such a boner for me? You love to keep talking about me, and love giving me so much attention. I don't understand, really. You're not just insulting me now, but also dozens of children and families you have never met. I pity you. You're an extremely sad individual who takes this forum way too serious, and takes offense to everything. Get a life Roll Eyes

For the record, I've seen plenty of newbies roll through here that have a good understanding and knowledge of bitcoin/cryptocurrency before ever joining the forums. Maybe I'm naive, but I don't believe them to be alts. Alia, on the other hand, I always suspected as an alt account. You guys are being really hard on @suboz. Maybe y'all are jaded for some reason, and maybe he is an alt, but does it mean y'all have to be so mean?

Wait, is this possible? Does Rocketr and Selly actually suspend or remove malicious stores' products/accounts?
410  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Joe's Signatureless Challenge: Win $25 + 8 Merits every week! (Round 5) on: April 08, 2018, 06:12:37 PM
I am interested to become a sponsor. merit and money both. but only if you show me some improvement in this forum. because I am not seeing any quality and improvement anywhere... every thread is full of spammers and shitposters.

I, personally, cannot show you improvement other than my own actions. I don't force anybody to join this challenge, nor do I force them to improve their post quality. They choose to do that on their own. I would like to think that participants that wear my signature are generally trying to post better quality content than non-participants.

Don't insult me. I see that you're dangling a carrot in front of me, saying that you'll give it to me if I meet YOUR conditions, and then go on to say that your conditions are not being met... What, then, is your point? Why would you provide this kind of stipulation?

While I appreciate your wanting to donate merits and/or cash to this challenge, I won't bend over backwards to accommodate your unfulfillable conditions. Either you can choose to donate whatever you want to the escrow address, review participants' post history and award some merits here and there for quality posts, or kindly not do anything.

But I do not appreciate your backhanded compliment(?) in the form of insults by stating that you're not seeing any quality and improvement anywhere...

Thanks for finding this thread and commenting, but I'm going to kindly ask you to leave now.

Two words for you, and other users like you:

Good riddance.
412  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: got my first merits ;D how ? on: April 08, 2018, 05:52:22 AM
Of course ... but sometimes because a lot of jr.member members are already using the signature, some senior members seem to stay away from us, even though our post is very good ....

But also many senior members who appreciate our work if it's really original and something new, so all we have to do is keep trying ...

I just reviewed your post history. None of your posts are “very good”. You contribute to a lot of speculative topics that don’t really contribute to the overall betterment of bitcoin or these forums.

Just because you spew a bunch of opinions in clear English doesn’t make the post a good one.

That’s why you’re not receiving merits for your posts. Because you’re spewing the same bullshit as everyone else is within the megathreads that you post in. Nobody will give you merit for those posts, as the types of people that merit others don’t visit topics such as the ones you post in.

“...so all we have to do is keep trying...”

Nope. Please don’t, as you are just contributing to spam. Try to partake in healthier conversations, not just speculative ones that don’t mean anything at the end of the day...

414  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [H] $981 BTC Looking for PP on: April 07, 2018, 06:48:08 PM
In my experience,  if you see someone posting some weird dollar amount in btc they claim to have for trade,  like 981 , they probably dont have anything

Quite the contrary, for me. When users say they have something like $500 in BTC, I avoid dealing with them. USD doesn't fluctuate against BTC prices, so why would it surprise you for a user to have a "weird" dollar amount in BTC? You must not have a lot of experience exchanging bitcoin...
415  Economy / Services / Re: urgent: we hire community manager, (can newbie); paid 50$ per day on: April 07, 2018, 06:37:53 PM
I can do this for $500/week (BTC/ETH) or $400/week (USD)

I currently work online, so I'm always at a computer. Review my post history, and you'll see that I am very proficient in English (you know, it being my first language and all Tongue). I type over 70wpm, and I'm a very social person who gets along well with others. I also have a strong graphic design background, which I can provide for you within my proposed wages above, if hired.

If you're serious about hiring the right person for this job, feel free to send me a message or email me at bitcoinsforjoe [at] gmail.com.
416  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can SegWit really be a proven solution (or at least an alt) even for the future? on: April 07, 2018, 06:30:30 PM
In a nutshell, these low costs will be lower than when there was a lower SegWit adoption rate.

Witness data takes up a significant percentage of the transaction space in each block. SegWit effectively displaces the witness data, allowing more of the blocksize to be dedicated to more transactions within the 1MB block size, effectively speeding up the nature of these transactions. Naturally, this also means that unconfirmed transactions won't have to spend so much time in the queue, as each block can now fit more transactions.

In the end, the fees are mainly dependent on the users who pay those fees, which can increase greatly if we ever have another repeat of the 2017/2018 Holiday FOMO run, but technically speaking, the fees should be lower than those of non-SegWit transactions because of how timely those transactions take place in each block compared to non-SW transactions.

Typical transactions (1 Input/2 Outputs) are about 226 bytes in size, while SegWit transactions are either:

  • Nested P2SH Address: 166 bytes (26.5% discount)
  • Bech32 Address: 141 bytes (37.6% discount)

Imagine this on a larger scale.

Given that the last block (517090 at the time of this post) consisted of 32% SegWit transactions[1], that is nearly a third of the entire block size that is hosting transactions with these witness discounts.

During the FOMO period between December 2017 and January 2018, the SegWit adoption rate averaged under 13%. With a difference of nearly 20% more current SegWit adoption, I'm going to go out on a limb here and state that if we encounter another FOMO bull market run, the average transaction fee will be at least 20% lower than what it was during DEC/JAN, possibly more, due to the nature of how many more transactions can fit within the 20% SegWit difference...

Either way, this is all speculation, and we won't really know how much of an impact SegWit truly has until we endure another run like the last one we've experienced, so take my findings and speculation with a grain of salt Tongue

417  Other / Meta / Re: [PROPOSAL]Stickied a topic all about merit on: April 07, 2018, 05:53:23 PM
Many members had suggested this in the past and it is still not implemented. The official thread about the merit system should have been made sticky in my opinion as well. I have seen it going to page 2 in eta sections sometimes also when others fill this sections with queries related to merit system.

Admin might not had done this because he might be planning more changes to this system and creating so many stickies will leave less space for new posts on first page.

You are not being serious right now, are you?

Do you even read the replies left in these topics? Huh

Since when do people read stickies?

I was wondering to the mods if they will stickied a topic  that's contain all about merit otherwise collect a different ideas  about merit and where do merit pours.
This is means to minimize  the spammers and beggars of merit.
Having a stickied information will lesser the questions. The biggest  purpose of these is to make Meta Thread clean because when the time was merit started it makes the Meta Thread only for meta. It's  been 2 months ago after merit been released. This will make the forum better.

419  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Concern on: April 07, 2018, 05:38:09 PM
This thread is a fucking train wreck lol.

I’m going to be blunt and throw this out there: You won’t earn a single merit from me or people like me if you don’t take the time or spend the effort to learn English. Before you call me a racist or a bigot, please remember that this is an English-speaking board, and that you are a guest here. It’s a privilege for you to be here, and not a right. So don’t go and treat this like you should have more rights and have a fair chance at earning merits more than other “popular” members... dude, shut up. The reason you’re not receiving merits is because nobody understands you or agrees with you. Apparently, you don’t understand what the merit system is and what it’s designed to do, which is to stop users like you from ranking up.
420  Economy / Lending / Re: $200 LOAN needed *300% Return* on: April 07, 2018, 05:25:31 PM
I don’t feel safe lending you this type of loan, and the collateral you’ve provided is of no interest to me. The part that makes me skeptical is where you claim that it’s not gambling because it’s low risk... that makes absolutely no sense. Why not just pawn your tv, use the money to buy btc, use your own method, and then cash out the profits to buy back your tv?
