401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HBN/CAP explorers on CCE expiring on: December 17, 2015, 12:09:46 AM
Hello all. I recently received a note from dreamwatcher. The yearly fee for HBN and CAP on CCE has come due. The fee to renew both for the year is $440.  For just 1 it is 275.

Is this something we want to renew as a community?  If so I need your help. I can not cover the cost myself. I need to raise at least $350 from the community and I will cover the rest.

Due date is the 1st of the year.

To donate for HBN send BTC here: 1GMH9jMKfrDx5ZurAwPqp7gwAerGKiPtFs

To donate for CAP send BTC here: 13Kwcjsprq942Bx3ddYFqzHgHnwdTx2dFw

If neither gets enough, the funds maybe combined to give at least 1 of them renewal, HBN will be first. If the combined total is not enough, funds will be returned.  We'll cross that bridge if it comes to it.

Added another 0.05232258 BTC to the HBN address.

This is nearly as much as the value of all my HBN, but we need to bring things forward. There is too much blabla in HBN-community, "3k Satoshi is holding well" "Rock solid bottom" was repeated almost 100 times, but there is nobody here to bring things forward.
People got used to Tranz doing everything and now we have the tragedy of the common, more than other coins.

I don't care if we choose CCE, the PressTab-Explorer or any other. Whatever is the cheapest. Without a working Blockchain-Explorer, HBN could be removed from Coinmarketcap.

Thank you. I am hoping we can raise enough for both a year block explorer and perhaps a bounty for a new trading partner.  This will help.

Hey quick question I apparently got some possible transaction stakes today and now my wallet is like 10mins out of sync? anyone explain what the potential stake reward thing means?

Well it depends, if you were on some type of fork, then those stakes won't count. But your coins days will not be destroyed, so they will stake again rather quickly.   Otherwise you maybe ok. Perhaps you need a restart of the wallet.

The potential stake reward simply means what those coins would worth in stake value if they were accepted right now.  It will go up as the coins age, and may go down as the PoS difficulty goes up.

Cryptopia is stuck, gg

What do you mean stuck?

Seems like Polo might be the way to go at least for a starters.  How are the expericnes with them? I used them about 6 months ago with HYP, seemed ok then. Still good?

I'll draft some type of proposal for them, perhaps we will need to get a bounty as well.

Hippe, this may be my one and only response to you.

I understand your issues with Cryptsy, they are legit, but misplaced. Let me make the following perfectly clear:

1) I can tell you 100% I am none of the aliases you accuse me of. I have one account on this site, and I use the same(or similar) user name at other sites.
2) I have no insider information or background dealings with any of the admins at Cryptys. I do not even know any of them by their real names.
3) I'm smart. I saw the insider game being played between the Cryptys players. When I saw the abandoned coin, to scooped them up, fixed the code up and watched the chickens roost.
4) I spent much of my own money, time, and resources buying, fixing, researching many aspects of HBN, Bitcoin, and Cryptys.
5) I saw a missing point in the market that dealt with real charitable givings. Once I saw the name, the "background" info, and the hole in the market. I made the move to take over the coin.
6) I have taken what would have a complete mess and created something very different from the rest. With actual NEW useful code. Including Stake For Charity. I still have more plans to continue to move this forward and have it accepted by charitable sites all over the world. Much more work and time needs to be taken, but it is still in my future plans.

If you have any real questions for me, ask. But please stop spamming this thread with JDTemp/Hourus/Whomever complaints. They are long gone, and don't even care for HBN anymore. Whatever little money they made, let it go. I can tell you, it likely wasn't much.

In light of all the trouble cryptsy is having I suggest that we get hobonickels on more than one exchange. Is anybody working on this?

It already is on another (cryptopia) but hardly anyone is trading there. I tried, and it worked well enough for whenever Cryptsy fails. I must say though, trading at cryptsy for over 2 years that, yes, they cause me some headache every now and then but never failed to get me my coins. Ever. Eventually.

I agree with you PF1, but recently it does seem to have gotten worse.  I have now 2 pending withdrawals, working on 2 weeks.

We can try to get on another bigger exchange.  Let discuss and aim for one. I will do my best to grease the skids, but we will need a target it together as a community if we want to stand a chance.

Which one?  Bittrix?

cant we provide our own explorer?
also, the price is holding despite the btc surge, so proud  Smiley

Who's we?  Hosting a site that supports both enough resources for the daemon, and the web traffic, and the person with the know how is not cheap. Could I do it? Sure, but I can't put more of my own money in. I already am hosting the web site, and still spend sometime developing.  Plus time has never been tighter for me right now.

We have had some home grown here and there for a while. The problem is they come and go as the person runs out of time and/or money. So having a more "professional" one is better IMO.

Which is why I am soliciting donations to get up running for 1 year here: 1GMH9jMKfrDx5ZurAwPqp7gwAerGKiPtFs

I am ok with whatever the community decides. We can still raise money to go to either of these. If you donate and have a preference just post it or PM it to me.

Thanks!

Just sent 0,1btc to 1GMH9jMKfrDx5ZurAwPqp7gwAerGKiPtFs
I am in favor of getting HBN on Presstabs explorer and extending CAP there as well

Thanks sir. We have .135 collected so far. So making good head way.

Care to elaborate on "MultiSend CoinStake" ?

You didnt hear the news??!!!!?? I added a special functionality to MultiSend that lets you send the multisend tx in the actual staked block instead of waiting for all those confirms and then sending. I am 97% sure this needs extra work to make it compatible with exchanges, as it is now the daemon will see it as a minted transaction rather than received from another address.

I didn't hear, till just now. Wow, nicely done! This was always my goal, but I have gotten to far away from the code recently, to be able to even think about it.

Impressed sir, keep it up!

Hey Tranz good to see you around!

Yes I was able to get it into the coinstake tx, but I did get inspiration from some of Dooglus' work on CLAM. That being said, this is still experimental and I need to change the code of the receiving party to not see this as a transaction minted, and thus it would also mean an exchange or other automated party would need to update once the code is complete.

Edit - also I forgot to mention the best part. Free transactions Smiley

Yes the free transaction part was what I envisioned would be beneficial for S4C. I never dug deep enough to get that far, I always assumed it would require a fork to get it fully implemented, but so far not looking that way.

it s enable but i see no outgoing transaction sins couple of days

Yes I think there is a small bug. You need to re-click enable after a restart. I will look at it soon.

193000 hbn for now, i trying to have 200000 Grin
average price around 2800  i bought a lot in october above 3500sat
bset price i got is 1601

last week i notice no lot buyers so price where going fast down

do you think there are people with 1millions hbn ?
sometimes i see a lot of dump they must have collect a lot sins the begin i imagine

I am sure there are some with 1MM. I am not among them.  I think one of the resasons there are not more buy order is because the new issues with Cryptsy. It is hard to get money out so people are less prone to put money in bids.

Hi, I just accidentally found this bug information for UPnP:
https://bitcoin.org/en/alert/2015-10-12-upnp-vulnerability
do we suffer from it?

I think we may, as the library to build with was before this came out. However the UPnP is not on by default in HBN. So unless you start it up that way it shouldn't effect you.  I'll look to find the newest lib and recompile here with it.

Looks to be a very small bug. But worth upgrading at some point here.

Just a question about saved wallet.dat files in general:

Say for example the computer, which your wallet is on, conked out, or was stolen, could you transplant your wallet, fully intact, onto a fresh wallet installation and a new computer by simply replacing the new wallet.dat file with your saved wallet.dat file?

I know this is a very basic question, but I've never had to do it and I can't remember seeing anything specific on this.

Yes you can. It is best to use the -rescan startup option if you are fully synced.

Hobonickels offers an easier solution because it can read in and keep multiple wallets.  So you would just have to rename the wallet to something like wallet-old.dat and then put it in the startup directory. Or browse for it using the load button, or rpc command loadwallet.  It should re scan and look for all missing coins. I can take a while but it works!
