Well... I guess you can be lucky... If you would mine a new CPU minable coin before prices go up, you might actually make some $$$.
However, i tried most of the existing CPU minable coins, and could not make enough cash to make the whole setup worth my effort...
Did you try Monero. It is more efficient to mine with CPU than GPU. |

For long term holders, it makes sense to get a small interest rate on their holdings by depositing their coins in a bank. If the bank is regulated and deposits are insured, I definitely will make a bee-line towards the nearest bank branch.
If my deposit is safe in the bank and I can earn some interest, then I will save some of my coins with the bank. |

Has anyone noticed just how many new GPU alt coins failed or have fallen to worthless values in April and May? There was this one coin, Enigma [EGMA] were the coin go delisted from every exchange, because the developer could not even design a working wallet  Then, there is Bitlux [LUX], which is now virtually worthless. Similarly, there is Sixteenbit, which is again worthless. Bitlux only got beautiful pictures of models. |

The price of bitcoin is affected by adoption. If it gets used more in business, then the price will rise and find a new balance. If it is like many other scam coins, then the price will drop to 0.

The real question should be: Are we going to see prices over $1000 again without another willy bot?
It's funny how some people still believe it was willy that made Bitcoin reach over 1000 USD A bot can stimulate the pump but you need real people backing up the movement with their real money for such thing to happen. If bitcoin gets used more, its price will rise. |

What are your other settings? Is it overclocked? Graphics card are 2x280X Vapor-X and not the clock! Work on its factory core 1000MHz and memory 1500 MHz! Here's a picture of what happens if you can help! You need to set the intensity to be higher than 8 and work size 64, 128 or 256. You also need to set the algorithm. Try sgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3345 -u 1JrCZpGJQVfXoY9aCKPXqsxBzU5ia5AeXf -p p=0.5 --algorithm quark -I 18 -w 64. I am not sure about the --algorithm part as I do not use .bat. |
