Quick update on the monster 2880Watt PSU board.

The input board is finally adjusted.

I just ordered both PCB.
They are expected to reach me the first week of December.

If everything goes well, they will be assembled and ready to ship by the 4th or 5th.

Pricing for the first ones will be 65$ excluding shipping.
I won't make any real profit on them.

I should have 2 or 3 left for sale.

After this small batch, I'll only be able to continue selling at the same price or even slighly lower if I can have around 50 "preorders".
I'll invest back the 650$ from the first batch of boards, and add some from my funds, to buy a batch of connectors from the manufacturer since there is no stock anywhere, they are only making them on demand.
It's supposed to be 5-6 weeks delay, so I'll order the batch as soon as possible if there is enough interest in the breakout boards.

Pricing for each board will be as follow:
1-25 boards total ordered -> 70$
26-50 boards total ordered -> 65$
51-100 boards total ordered -> 60$
over 100 boards total ordered -> 55$

If a few boards are needed before I get the connectors from the manufacturer, I can have a few as I did for the first prototypes, but individual price for the boards will be close to 80$

EDIT: By-the-way, I made a mistake in my single chip anology. Even when the single chip returns early, i.e finds a result early in its range, do NOT issue new work but wait for it to finish searching its assigned range UNLESS the result that was found is the holy grail, i.e  its size is 40.3G as we speak (then of-course you've solved the block!). And the wait period is ....... the timeout.

that is exactly what the wait period is about, when to issue new "orders".
Ahem ...... when to issue new work, yes.

orders / work same same, please remember my english is non native
So did you manage to figure out how the work division is done in cgminer (for bmsc), or did you not bother to look?

work devision is setup as 1 per chip/fpga (per default) but can be set to 1,2,4,8

it basically means should i send the whole work to 1 chip, or should i split it up for x number of chips (1,2,4,8)

edit: correction - fpga based assumes split work in 2 - but that doesnt matter in this case
Strange that ...! 1,2,4 or 8 only? The S1 board (last time I checked) has 32 chips. I am not inclined to recount them again now, but I better revisit that cgminer code ....
yes, 32 chips, but used as multi chain mode. it isn't the same cgminer code

Small teaser of the work done so far on the monster PSU:
IBM Bladecenter H, 39Y7364 39Y7349 2880W
AA23920L

The main PCB, 4 layers of 2 oz copper to handle the 240A of power.

So with this setup we would need to use pci-e to pci-e cables?  I have a bunch of bare lead ones, is crimping the plugs on easy enough?  Or just better offer to buy new ones already made up?  I guess I could always be lazy and butt splice two together to end up with a 100cm cable
yes, PCI-e 6 pins at both ends. It will be easier to plug/unplug cables.
Unfortunately, they aren't making the other gender solder terminal, or we could have bought some extension cables.
I'll order the first boards by the end of this week, I still need to figure if my sandwich plate will be a perfect fit.
1-2 weeks delay to get them delivered after the order.

I'll have some cables in stock, but if you have what's needed to make them, it could be cheaper.
with the right crimping tool, its really easy. It took me 3 trials to put the pin correctly on the tool.
Then, you insert the 5mm stripped end of the wire, press, release, and back to the next wire.

here is the one I'm using, and happy with it.

Allright after futher talking with co-worker at my job. The capacitor on the board is a Tatalum 107A.

100uF 10Volt, it is not the same as the one on the schema. I guess I have an older rev of the board.

I'm back to "work" after some serious troubles with my laptop.
8 or so years old, freezing every now and then, throwing it at the wall, stepping on it and a few other things didn't help. Screen was tunring off every 7 minutes, so I ordered a new one that I just got yesterday.

Time to reinstall everything needed, and windows 8 is absolutely not straightforward when you come from 2003 or vista like me.

Back on our topic, if you haven't ordered them yet, I have some, either from a 2013 rev S1 board that will be stripped to chips anyway, or maybe even new somewhere in my component racks.
They can be sent in a simple enveloppe for cheap.
When Kicad will be fully working on this new machine, I'll go back to the 8 ports prototype, hopefully, I'll be able to order a first PCB batch by the end of this week.
it will use almost the same layout, but with 2x CP2108 instead of 2x cp2102
some revised (and probably final) 2 ports boards were supposed to reach me at the beginning of this week, but as usual, once in France, they can take up to 10 days to reach me...
In the next few days, I will be able to cut mylar stencils for the SMD projects, so if anybody wants a "kit" for the controller boards later to have fun soldering it, it will be possible to have board + all components + stencil. The only thing I won't be able to provide in small quantities for cheap will be solder paste.

I'm also trying to get the 8 way flat cables manufactured for cheap. worst case would be to buy flat cables, connectors, crimp pins and DIY.

Hi im looking for board to Delta DPS-1300BB / IBM 24R2714

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1487643

Do you have it?

Hi, bad news is I don't have it.
Good news, it can be done. in the same price range as any XL board with 2-3 weeks delay (depends on how much I pay for shipping the PCB).
Second bad news, I'll have to buy one PSU for it, and it will add 40€ to the boards price, but I'll ship the PSU to you with the finished boards.

If you want it done, I'll ask you for a 45€/0.15BTC deposit for me to pay the PSU and some labor.
426  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] hex4m's with & without coolers [EU, Netherlands] on: November 18, 2014, 08:23:20 PM
0,2 btc, shiping to eu

For that price I might as well mine myself. Boards with coolers at least 0.45, without 0.275 or I'll sell them here locally for a lot more but wanted to try my luck here first since I have found many great deals here so I want to offer the community a lower  price than ebay or the like.

Plus these miners are ULTRA silent.

If hey are shipped prices, they are fair compared to what the miners would cost from Technobit, and still fair compared to similar power with europe taxes.
I'd take the board without coolers.
Edit:
Also open to trade for some of my breakout boards
427  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS:: bitfury gen 1 rev1 chips on: November 18, 2014, 08:11:08 PM

428  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS-EU] PSUs DPS-2000BB With breakout boards, PCI-E cables, C19 Power cable on: November 18, 2014, 07:59:58 AM
Sent you a PM. How efficient are they?
They are over 90% from 25 to 100% load.

Here is the test report for the 2500 one.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/attachmentNew.php?attachmentid=4854652

They are basically built the same for all revisions, 1600-2000-2500.

I am looking for:

DPS-2000-BB PSU + breakout board

It would cost together with shipping to Hungary?

Is it with or without PCI-E cables?

Please note you will need either 6 x standard 60mm fans in push/pull configuration or 3 x high flow ones.
I still have a few high flow ones (loud), same as you can see in yslyung post fo 5€ each.
3x standard or 2x high speed could work if you don't use the PSU over 1400w.

2m power cable for the PSU (EU/schuko plug to IEC C19) = 6€
DPS 2000-BB PSU (tested) = 40€
Breakout board = 28€
6 pins PCI-E cables 50cm long, 16AWG wires = 2€ each

The package will weight close to 3 Kg, the PSU is heavy.
Shipping options to Hungary:
Happy-post, 7 days = 19€
Chronopost(Speedy), 4 days = 25€
Fedex, 4 days = 28€

IBM Bladecenter H, 39Y7364 39Y7349 2880W
AA23920L

The main PCB, 4 layers of 2 oz copper to handle the 240A of power.

The test-fit prototype used to adjust placement of the different parts.

The board will be screwed to the PSU to secure it

You will need an IEC C19 cable to power the PSU (same cable as for the DPS2000-BB and the HP DL 580 G3 1300w PSU)

Pricing to be expected around 55$ if I can get 50 boards ordered.
The main connector does have a MOQ of 120 pieces.

I need 20 DPS-1200 boards asap, please. Smiley

Can you get them to Atlanta, GA by Monday?

Hi, best I can do is 12 delivered by monday.
The other ones won't be ready until tuesday.
433  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: November 10, 2014, 09:05:52 PM
Well, ran out of cp2102 usbs

edit: now stable at 252 GHs
315 Watt / 252 GHs = 1.25 W/GH

Your prototype will be posted on wednesday. tomorrow will be bank holidays for end of WW1.
I had a look at a few things regarding the hardware of the blades.
Each chip have an address defined on 8 pins.
each board will have the following addresses:
00-08
10-18
20-28
...
F0-F8
Linking both boards in serial shouldn't work since there will be 2 chips with the same address.
And I'm not sure parallel would work for the same reason.
If I understand correctly, the chips aren't pushing the results but are waiting for the result to be read from them.
if you ask for chip A8 result, you will have 2 results returned, and I'm no sure it will be something readable by software or some random garbage mixed from both chips.
Initializing the chips might not work for the same reason, since you are expecting an answer from the chips.

I've just received a few parts to move on next step and work on the 8 hashing boards controller.
I'll also soon be able to make my own fine pitch mylar stencils. It will make the soldering job way easier.

Next on my worklist, something else related to the antminers. (sub 0.9w/GH at the wall on first gen chips)

I will be getting back to the "drawing board" this week and should have at least 1 of your breakout board case designs ready to rock...the smaller board case design should be much easier to design. I will post pics up asap  Cool

Thanks, I did a minor revision on the DPS 2000 board, so the earlier orders will probably only need the bottom side of the case.

The switch and the fan headers were moved closer to the PSU to allow easier insertion of the cables in the screw terminals.

Here are some pics from one batch I've just shipped.

435  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: For sale various pc equipment UK / EU on: November 09, 2014, 10:00:28 PM
I'm interested in the Asrock 990fx extreme 3 mobo shipped to France.
4 to 8GB ram would be better.
And maybe 1 or 2 of the 2TB seagate drives depending on price.
How much do you want for it?
trade for breakout boards?
436  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Breakout Power Boards for Dell 2100W Sever Power Supply on: November 08, 2014, 08:39:07 PM

It's on my "todo" list, more or less after the 2880w monster PSU from the bladecenter H.
Depending in how many you need, I can have a look earlier.

The IBM Bladecenter H power supplies are more efficient. I am in current need of about 33KW worth of DC power so I will need quite a few with many more later as I am upgrading my service line feeds.

How soon will the IBM Bladecenter H boards be available?

The first prototype should be done next week.
Then, 1 to 2 extra weeks depending on shipping method to get the PCBs from the manufacturer and stress test them.
I currently have in hands enough connectors for 8 boards and I can easily go up to 16 boards.
we can discuss details in PM regarding what type/qty of connectors you need on the breakout boards.

Sorry bit dim how do these connect and power consumption am also in the midlands so may work out for us both Smiley
AFAIK, you need a controller.
Since I'm primarily interested in the chips to play with them, it doesn't matter to me.
439  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Coin craft desk boards only (faulty) UK on: November 06, 2014, 10:35:06 AM
would you do 0.2 for the boards and heatsinks plus actual shipping to France?

Edit, let me know if you have other defective miners, I may be interested to save on shipping.
440  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] your defective Gridseed/Zeus, or SHA256 miners (and other brands) on: November 05, 2014, 08:53:34 PM
I have one working s1 and one 35gh r box.
Sorry, but working miners are no fun, at least for me.
And shipping from US would probably kill the price for working gears.
