The verdict has came out. No suspension for him but he was fined with a significant amount of 100k pesos. PBA commissioner Willie Marcial on Monday, February 5, said the league will review videos and talk to witnesses who were there when Abueva and Tautuaa’s wife Aida figured in a shouting match at a hallway near the exit of the Mall of Asia Arena.
Marcial added he will also summon Abueva and Tautuaa.
“We’ll look at the videos and talk to people who witnessed the incident,” said Marcial in Filipino. “I’ll meet with my technical group and I need to talk to the two players.”

Stars of Magnolia are getting older, Abueva, Paul Lee, and Barocca, they aren't generating as usual anymore. While we have observe in the past that Magnolia is a great defensive team, it seems like SMB has stole that title from them as SMB is dominating on both offense and defense this series.
That I can agree with you. Plus, they don't have a good outside shooters who are consistent enough to give some threat to their opponenet. Paul was the one known to be a good 3 point shooter but he wasn't playing well in the Finals so far, probably due to the defense being put into him. Magnolia's chance of winning is if they are making shots when attacking the paint and those mid range shot, but thus far it's not getting a positive result as SMB have a healthy JMF who makes the paint hard for the Magnolia. Also, SMB's import with so much confidence shooting 3's, that could break the hope of Magnolia if he keeps going. Key here IMO, is stop the outside shooting of SMB and take the game inside. |
