4341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Alt Season Has Started on: January 07, 2021, 04:44:48 AM
No, I do not think alt season has started. Bitcoin is still dominating the market and unless it stops pumping nothing will happen. In my opinion, the best altcoin to invest in the current market is XLM. Ehtereum has already reached a price point where it is no longer cheap. It would have been great to invest in it a few months back when it was trading at a really low price.

There are lots of guide created by other members regarding on how to safeguard their investment and stay away from shitty projects. Try checking these out!

[1] Collection of comprehensive guides on identify and avoid scam projects
[2] 🌍 Guidelines, how to spot a scam ICO & report effectively. ✔
[3] 🌍[Guide] Prevent scam!!! Some useful tools for find scam / fake ICO team 🌍

Having a right knowledge and skills may be useful but I still doubt that doing any bounty related activities is profitable. I would rather use my time upskilling in either programming, designs, trading or any other versatile skill that'll make you profitable in the long run if you've done it correctly  Smiley

The above information should help you a lot still there is no guarantee to find out which bounty is fraudulent and which is genuine. I have stopped participating in bounty since 2018 as they are no more fruitful. In the past, I only used to evaluate a bounty based on the reputation of Bounty Managers. I still prefer the same to date for signature campaign.
4343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 07, 2021, 03:58:07 AM
I do not use my earnings from Signature Campaign for gambling I tend to Hodl as long as the amount becomes big in USD and then cash out. For gambling, I have a small pool which I take out every month from my monthly earnings. I am into gambling for fun and not for earnings. Besides most online casinos do provide a lot of free money every month.
4344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 07, 2021, 03:52:14 AM
Saini is the new debutant on the list.

After 1st game everyone thought that it would be one sided series for obvious reason but Indians did fight back beautifully and now we can expect same from Aussie.

All eyes will be on Rohit Sharma in this test. Saw a couple of overs of Md Shiraz, this guy is bowling with a lot of confidence. He took the crucial wicket of David Warner. Google probability score still states a 60 percent chance for Australia to win this test. Let's see how it changes as the game progresses.
4345  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to spot an Investment Scam on: January 06, 2021, 05:33:24 AM
Scammers are in every field, they all use the formula and most of them are successful because those who got scammed were too greedy and could not resist the offer.

In my opinion, people should use some common sense before falling into such scams they should question themselves when they are offered such lucrative offers as to why are they offering him/her only. That should solve a lot of problems.
4346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: January 06, 2021, 04:30:37 AM
Without this high capital inflow from other countries I would be hard to sustain such high gambling rates.

I agree countries with good economy and its people making a good income are likely to be on top of the list, Australia is a rich country so it is very much qualified.
Maybe the list might change differently if everythings back to normal. Once the pandemic is contain I think more gamblers will go to casinos or even playing online once the economy boost again and everyone has got their jobs back. I thought that US would top on the list but maybe in few years after recovery they might claim the right rank.
Yes, it should change but the pandemic is here to stay a bit longer than expected. After it is contained still the dear of it will stop gamblers to go out in public places. It would take some time for everything to be normal.

Kiwis and Proteas are literally bullying Pakistan and Sri Lanka respectively.
And look at that home track bully Kane Williamson (JK) lol, scoring double tons for fun nowadays Grin

Not a good sign for test cricket. Even test matches involving teams outside the big 3 are getting lop-sided now. South Africa literally destroyed Sri Lanka. But this same South Africa will lose by a big margin, if they play against any of the big 3 teams. I am gradually losing my interest in test cricket. What is the point in watching such one sided matches? Only the matches involving big 3 teams are interesting nowadays.
Those two team failed to produce good quality players in the last few years that is the reason why these teams are struggling now but its all part of their cricket journey. Soon these teams will find someone who can lift the confidence among the other players and that is why lot of domestic leagues were conducted all around the world.
I think Pakistan is still fine they just are not able to get a stable team but talking about Sri Lanka their future is absolutely disastorous. The problem with Sri Lanka is that there are no senior players in the team to guide the junior guys who are coming in. All the big guns vanished from the team all of a sudden. I think the 2011 World Cup Sri Lankan team was the last best team from Sri Lanka after the retirement of Sanga, Jayawardane, Murali and Dilshan the team can't even be compared to our India-A team. They have a pretty dark future lying ahead of them I feel soon Afghanistan(if they can part ways with terrorism and such conflicts) would become a better cricketing nation than Sri Lanka.
Lot of political issues are also one of the main reason why they can't be able to find the talented players. I will never agree with the smaller population means less talented people because talented people were refused to given chance for various reasons which is also exist in most of the cricket boards.

World cup team in 2011 was the best team for Sri Lanka and after that as well they had some good players still Sri Lankan cricket board dropped some of them after few failures.

Every board has political issue, In my opinion corruption is one of the main reason and second is interference from the political leaders. The core system of selection needs to be changed, following the big boards model won't help them finding local talent.
4348  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain jobs, careers, certifications? on: January 05, 2021, 05:04:18 AM
Check your local university website they should have some courses. As of today most universities are offering online classes due to the pandemic situation so, incase if your local university does not have any courses you can check Google and you will find many international unversities offering cources on Blockchain technology. Udemy is another great place to learn but you will not get a certification from there. Nothing is free in education hence you will have to pay a fee.

This is the first time I am hearing about this exchange. Is it a local exchange operating only in your country?

These exchanges come up with lucrative offers and newbies like you are their targets. As an investor you should not trust any exchange with your money. There are a lot of reputed & trusted exchanges out there you should use them.
4350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remember when ETH was $1400 a few years ago then crashed to $70 as BTC crashed? on: January 05, 2021, 04:01:51 AM
Frankly there is no comparison between ETH and Bitcoin. In 2017 Bitcoin reached an all time high and so did majority of alts.

Coming to 2021 ETH is in way better position then most other altcoins. Just go and check coinmarketcap for the top 50 and you will know.

The reason why ETH pumped in 2017 was because by the end of the year altcoin season started as Bitcoin dominance went down. In 2021 it is yet to start as Bitcoin is still pumping and still dominating the market.
4351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice - What wallet for iphone/ios? Electrum is not supported?? on: January 05, 2021, 03:37:57 AM
If your friend is looking for a Bitcoin wallet then in my opinion Mycelium wallet is a good option. It is available for both the operating system. For Multi-cryptocurrency in my opinion Atomic wallet is a good option. They have an excellent support and have numerous features added to it.

4353  Local / India / Beware of such Ponzi Schemes in India on: January 04, 2021, 05:05:07 AM
Happy New Year!

As Bitcoin creates a new ATH record there has been a sudden influx of Ponzi schemes that use cryptocurrency as bait to solve their purpose. One such scheme that I came across recently is a combination of Forex, Crypto, and MLM. The scheme is primarily an MLM Investment plan using a binary tree structure.

So what this scheme is all about.

PLAN-1

The initial minimum investment is $100 worth wherein they will create an account for the investor on the MT5 Forex trading platform. They will also teach them how to start trading in Forex? and they will provide 50 percent of that investment for trading and the rest 50 percent will be taken as a fee for teaching Forex trading.

PLAN-2
Investors can join their investment plan by investing a minimum of $100 worth of TRON. They will be able to see 50 percent of their investment in a TRON wallet on their website. The rest 50 percent will be paid as daily interest in TRON for the next 12 months till the amount reaches the required total investment. To gain more TRON Investors can bring other investors and share a percentage of commission in TRON using the Binary tree scheme.

Those who cannot bring other investors are given the assurance that in the next 12 months TRON price will go up and you will earn more with the invested TRON.

They have not specified how they will pay the daily interest and why should anyone want to learn Forex trading,

Stay away from such Pozi scheme involving cryptocurrencies and forex, they are nothing but MLM investment plan and
in the end, the promoters of such a scheme will elope with your money when they have achieved the required profit.

4355  Other / Off-topic / Re: [???] If an investor is not accredited but also he/she is not a U.S person on: January 03, 2021, 05:17:16 AM
Hello, I'm a Turkish citizen and I wonder whether I'm able to participate in some private sales.

If an investor is not accredited but also he/she is not a U.S person, is he able to participate in the private sales?

Is it necessary to be an accredited investor to sign a SAFT agreement?
your country does not ban crypto or bitcoin so I think there is no current law prohibiting you from joining any presales or ICO or any form
for your reference you can check the stand of your country about bitcoin or crypto,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory
if your country allows bitcoin surely you can buy any coins good luck sir

Yes, we can freely buy and sell Bitcoins but there is something called a SAFT agreement.

Someone tell I cannot participate in private sales because I am not an accredited investor, but I am also not an American citizen.

Is there any non-accredited investor who joined a private sale and signed a SAFT agreement although he/she is not an American citizen?
All ICO and IEO have a list of countries that have been banned by them due to regulation. You need to check that list for your country. That list is also valid for private sale. I have not seen Turkish citizen being banned from any ICO private sale.
4356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We can reduce our chances of loss on: January 03, 2021, 04:14:22 AM
Just beware of other centralized altcoins that are listed on top where some investors had move already to different altcoins. XRP is one of the coins that has been slowing down and made some investors loses. As I checked the current market price for XRP it is very low and so sad because XRP still has a good marketcap volume. I wish XRP can bounce back anytime soon when btc market collapse.

If XRP will have a chance to bounce back in the future then the chance of what the OP is saying will become the most profitable way of investing and I think he is saying some nice way of how we will minimize our loss if we want to invest safely like what he said. I mean, if we want to invest in some cryptocurrencies with a higher percentage of success, let's put our money on the top Altcoins out there and we will surely have that golden opportunity when it will go down and that's the time we gonna buy it because base on the history of those top Altcoins, they will recover their price no matter what gonna happened with the market.

I still do not understand why people are still confident.that XRP will bounce back in the future. What future are you guys referring to? In just 8 years how much profit has XRP given to its investors? In my opinion and what OP said invest in good coins and and not shit coins like XRP. There are many cryptocurrencies with strong fundamentals and decent market cap, invest in those and earn a decent profit of 10 to 20 percent.
4357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Happening? $31K on: January 03, 2021, 03:55:04 AM
In my opinion anytime is good to enter the Bitcoin revolution. The price of Bitcoin will go up. It took two years for Bitcoin to break it's old ATH. There were investors who did bought Bitcoin in 2017 and they are still waiting patiently for the price go upto 50k. Think of the bigger achievement rather thinking about petty profit.
4358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 03, 2021, 03:25:29 AM
News coming out that Rohit, Pant, Gill, Shaw and Saini are in quarantine as they broke some bio bubble protocols. They were allowed to go outside though but some fans spotted them, one fan even paid their bill.

One of the fans (Navdeep Singh) claimed that Rishabh Pant hugged him, after it was revealed that he had paid the bill. He quickly deleted the tweet after a few minutes of posting it, but Cricket Australia and the Australian government is looking in to it very seriously. Quarantine breaches put a lot of trouble for the Pakistani team, while they were visiting New Zealand. Visiting teams need to understand that the governments take these restrictions very seriously.

And BTW, this is the bill:

It all depends now on the Australian government, these guys would be punished for sure but what kind of punishment has to be decided. This same incident in NZ created a lot of problem and embarrassment for pakistan board.

In the meantime Sourav Ganguly went through an emergency heart surgery and doing fine.

4359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 02, 2021, 04:45:32 AM
Rohit Sharma is yet to prove himself in the Test format and it is not easy to be the opener in fast wickets and if you take a look at the balls Mayank Agarwal was dismissed then all of those balls were spotless top deliveries and any batman could have dismissed with those deliveries and Rohit Sharma is returning after an injury and i doubt whether he will make any impact.

Rohit Sharma is 33 years old, and till now he has played only 32 test matches (now compare this to 87 matches for Virat Kohli, 79 for Cheteshwar Pujara, and 67 for Ajinkya Rahane). So obviously he is not that experienced in the longer format. But his test record is not that bad. He averages 46.54 with the bat, which is comparable to Pujara/Rahane.

Rahane has shown that he can win test matches as a captain, which means he need to get more opportunities. I do not think it would have been right for him to be replaced by Rohit Sharma. That would not have been ethically wrong. Keeping Rohit Sharma as a vice captain is a good decision as he has proven his ability as a good captain in ODIs in the past. His inclusion in the squad as a vice captain will only make the test team strong and he will be a great help to the captain too.
4360  Other / Archival / Re: .. on: January 02, 2021, 04:26:38 AM
2020 was a very different year for Bitcoin if we compare it with 2017. The only thing that matches is that in both these year Bitcoin reached a new ATH.

I expect 2021 to be different that 2018 in the same manner. Institutional investors are heavily investing in Bitcoin and it is a possibility that they continue this month too. The supply of Bitcoin has been reducing as most of those purchased Bitcoin have been transferred to cold storage.

So if we take in consideration the supply and demand of Bitcoin. The supply has been reducing but the demand is increasing. I think the USD value of Bitcoin to still go up because of this scenario. Hence, I am expecting the Bull run to continue this month too.
