Its surprising to me how many of you support cash bans.

I'm guessing many of you smoke weed or do other drugs.

Tell me. If there's a cash ban, what currency will you use to buy weed/illegal drugs?

Something as simple as buying weed would become more difficult under a cash ban.

A cash ban would diminish freedom and rights.

It would make payment systems more inflexible, rigid and less efficient.

Economy would suffer as a result.

I can think of cases where large financial institutions were found guilty of fraud, money laundering with drug cartels & terrorists, crimes far worse than ICO's.

They were deemed too big to fail and never answered for their crimes.

Regulation only punishes small players. It doesn't make things fair or equal the way its supposed to.

Sounds as if SJW's strongly support BCC.

Not certain if that's a ringing endorsement. Perhaps a sign to avoid bitcoin cash?

The lower the price, the easier it is to pump and dump.

As BCC's price drifts higher percentage gains should decline. There may also be a high potential for BCC to spike and implode in a massive boom/bust cycle the way that ETH did.

BCC's stability is also in question with the larger block sizes & potential technical issues which could arise as a result of implementing the new technology.

A cashless society would give banks a monopoly over financial transactions.

Relationships where one party wields full authority in a monopoly & everyone must abide by rules they set are abusive relationships via default.

Financial transactions being decentralized, split between fiat and electronic transactions is a better format.

They deliberately attempt to devalue their national currency in order to allow corporate entities to benefit further from exportation.

The downside of this strategy means the average consumer has less buying power.

Its a pro corporate policy intended to boost private sector profits.

Currency devaluation is the goal, the excess borrowing and printing is intended to accomplish this.

There are also conspiracy theories which say: the true end game is to transform the entire world into the unfortunate state venezuela has become. Any country bankrupt with a weak economy could deteriorate into similar conditions. Which could allow a state to step in and declare martial law. Then later: communism.

In some eras of history, the western world is known for being on the cutting edge of innovation, research and development.

Its bizarre to me how historically "innovative" nations like the united states seem to oppose innovation and progress in the form of crypto currencies while "repressive" nations like russia embrace crypto.

Traditional historical roles and script may have flipped at some point.

If crypto is the future, if it represents innovation and progress...  why would anyone want to stop it? Isn't that like trying to prevent people from using cars instead of horse driven carriages?

Money might be defined as a representation of productivity, innovation, work, time, etc.

$100 could represent a quantity of work/time.

Perhaps its not money people worship so much as the quantity of time and work(productivity) it represents.

 

This card is hosted in mexico city which is @ something like 5,000 feet elevation. That could take a toll on cardio. Fighters who don't take 2 weeks to acclimate to the elevation, they could have endurance issues and tire more quickly than normal. When Cain Velasquez fought Fabricio Werdum in mexico city, some say Cain didn't take 2 weeks to acclimate & so he gased out quickly.

Looks like there is only 1 UFC event in the month of august. That may have been done to avoid scheduling conflicts with Mayweather vs McGregor which is also this month. Not certain what the reason is.

Bitcoin Cash could be useful for testing purposes. It could give us real world data, a better indication what implications of larger blocks & other technologies are. Data collected from BCC operation could be used to extend and improve BTC over the long term.

Even if BCC never goes mainstream, it could benefit BTC in ways. I hope we have valuable info coming from real world application of BCC soon. Information & testing which might end blocksize and scaling debates. That would be supa cool bruh.

I don't know about escrow. There is a need for better methods of obtaining collateral for loans.

One might say crypto needs better methods of verifying identities, considering how easy it is to obtain fake ID's.

Better methods of validating transactions where crypto is exchanged for physical goods could also be needed. Of course companies like ebay still have not found a way to do that effectively.

Some type of credit check / history system could also be needed, similar to what banks have.

I've been thinking about this, wondering if btc-e was targeted for its no ID policy. Or perhaps it was targeted for being a russian enterprise with relations between the USA and russia being bad right now. If Vinnik is held for years the way Julian Assange has been with no forthcoming evidence of his guilt. That will be depressing. In the united states, the legal precedent should be: innocent until proven guilty. The media shouldn't have the right to suggest people like Vinnik are guilty without presenting valid evidence.

On the topic of jobs & automation.

Automation kills many more jobs than it creates.

No one wants to admit that but it is true.

Slavery/indentured servitude/sweatshops/prison labor also kills more jobs than it creates.

As does outsourcing/offshoring of jobs, etc. As that tends to be an exploitive practice.

AFAIK the transaction freeze doesn't apply exclusively to savings accounts. It applies to all accounts.

Whatever type of account you use to pay your bills will be affected.

State surveillance is hard wired into ISP's. There are also surveillance programs like carnivore, echelon, etc. To an extent most things on the world wide web are logged and traceable. To my knowledge neither bitcoin nor crypto were designed to be untraceable. The first indication of this is the publicly accessible ledger.

The truth is, if you want untraceable transactions cash works better for that purpose than crypto or btc. If someone is motivated to hide their transactions they'll use fiat rather than btc.

Also it is possible that some of those behind wannacry and other ransomware are state sanctioned, they work for a government. Or they live in a country that doesn't extradite criminals to foreign countries to face prosecution. That's why some of them don't get caught. Its not primarily due to crypto being hard to trace.

An object moving at the same, constant, speed can become predictable to where its not moving at all.

Jones baited DC into moving forward at the same pace, so he could time him walking into that kick.

DC may have done better if he paused intermittently or changed the speed of his movement to make his position more unpredictable instead of moving forward at the same rate.

Imagine a person has bills to pay. They need to pay their mortgage, rent, insurance, car payment, electricity, buy food, etc.

They can't pay their bills due to a bank freezing their money.

These types of difficulties could provide motivation for people to use crypto to store their money rather than a bank.

Mike Tyson was involved with bitcoin ATM's in the past. Floyd could be emulating him. Floyd filed for bankruptcy twice in the past if I'm remembering right. They say that history repeats itself. Wonder what Floyd's investment & vetting process is like.
