why so different total supply ? which one is closer to real ?

I think both have different way to calculate the amount available.
You can find the correct amount on coinmarketcap: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/einsteinium/

this can't be correct amount, it shows the same 176,005,451 for days,
they haven't even got a clue what block explorer to use

When done manually, the amount get close to 180millions coins

I really like the idea of wormhole events, but how would you secure fast transactions while a wormhole occurs?

When we are in the wormhole, there shouldn't be any problems. The problem that can occur is what we're seeing right now. Someone boosted the difficulty high for the standard miner on the network.

Fast transactions aren't problem when the network is stable. When big miners enter the network and leave after a certain amount of time. That's when transactions will become slower. The only solution available right now, is getting more miners on the network to minimize the effect of those big miners.

Pretty much. This is the 1st time I have seen the network get stuck on high difficulty, and I've been paying attention since launch. Would only need 100Mhs to get it unstuck now.

LTC has dragged off pretty much the entire Scrypt hash power onto it for the halving in 2 weeks.

Let's hope it won't take 2 weeks for the network to get unstuck.

Close to a new wallet folks. It cures hair loss and promotes weight loss .. or something.

Syncing 3 hours from fresh, going fast .. 60 blocks a second, at 530k block of 625k. Seems to me faster than before by a margin, but it's been a while since I synced a new wallet from fresh. Still, for a 17 month old blockchain, I call that super fast.

Explorer will come back online shortly too and I'll get cleaning on the OP this weekend.

-- syncing done after 3.5 hours, not bad. Test coins sent back and forth, works fine. Will do more testing tomorrow.
good job sir

Had no problem so far working with the wallet.

Social skills, to create contact with people who might be interested in SFR and could have skill required to improve the community

If members of the community want to create a team to help this coin survive, i have no problem being part of it.

So if you can't do anything to help this coin why do you bother posting in the thread?

Maybe to get the dev to post something? Since the price is only going down, that would be nice.

I'm doing my share to keep this coin afloat by keeping the nodes running, what you have in your config 90% of that is mine and I'm doing my buy and sell on Bittrex to keep this coin alive.

Cheers.

that's what help a coin to stay alive but this community can rely on 2-3 members.

Now what guys ?

Again a silent treatment Undecided

What do you wanna do? Help the dev with you programming skills to become an other dev for the coin? help with your social skills to expand the reach of this coin? You have ideas that the community could work on and doesn't need the dev to be accomplished?

You want this coin to survive, you can't rely only on the dev for this to happen.

nothing, no and what social skills? I can't help this coin in any way. How about you?

449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpartanCoin - Cryptocoin for the competitive world. on: August 01, 2015, 06:03:57 PM
Is the Dev still kicking around? If so maybe he should look into doing something with SpartanCoin where they start burning the supply and that would make more people interested in buying SpartanCoin Smiley Cheers

 i think there's a purpose for 50 b coin. that many would be distributed first to a few, eventually ... millions? of ppl. enough after all so every body on the planet can keep 7 and owe no one ...   a curency's strength comes from it's holders, and this one can have lots of holders. can't be in a rush tho, need to keep trading ... we're lucky to have a home at cryptopia ... keep trading those SPNolas
Are you the Dev mate? I'm just curious because it would be nice to see SpartanCoin get some more attention with the coin supply that it has and trade more on other exchanges as well Wink Cheers

 ha no - someone on the exchange gave me 100k SPN abt a month ago so i started trading. ppl are buying, so it is good, i'm not expecting to forge a fortune here, but if spn survives a few years, it's a possibility   Wink
 my point being that within the existing crtpto paradigm, high volume output curancies (DOGE, RDD, MZC) need a lot of buyers, for a long time, but if successful will be much stronger than their low volume kin, so time is an important factor in the equation, patience needed, imo the high # of coin is an asset, not a liability. (look at what zeit is doing)

 your idea of destroying some SPN has some merit too, but keeping things simple might be a more Spartan wtg   Wink
Well in that case then maybe SpartanCoin should introduce maybe a small POS system for holders of the coin Wink That would increase the supply and also increase the demand for people wanting to get their hands on as many as they can to stake them lol Cheesy Cheers

If you want this coin to survive, you need a team to take over the coin from the original dev. Find a way to contact him so you can get everything available. It's good to have ideas but dev is gone.

I am unable to sync my wallet. It's 5 weeks behind.  Last block I have  is 288816
I am using the original post conf and have added in all the nodes I've seen on last 2 pages.

I've even tried running the wallet by itself and still won't sync.

Need some help here.

 if the above does not help try (first, make a backup copy or 3 of the .dat) deleting everything blockchain related from the roaming folder and let the wallet resync. if it still gets stuck, (and restarting it a few times doesn't fix it) then move the roaming folder to the desktop (anywhere), start the wallet and let it sync. when it is done exit the wallet, and replace the empty .dat with your current one and start the wallet. it should automatically rescan the  .dat and done

 currently my wallet is online and i'm mining it, if you like i can copy my blockchain to mega ...

Still not able to get even 1 connection.
I would like to get a copy of the blockchain and a working conf file.

this .conf worked from me

Code:
server=1
listen=1
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
maxconnection=100
rpcport=55884

addnode=54.186.130.102
addnode=54.186.26.226
addnode=54.186.126.94
addnode=54.186.242.36
addnode=54.186.245.111
addnode=54.186.245.94
addnode=104.131.66.162
addnode=173.48.179.177

For the blockchain, try deleting the blocks and chainstate folder

Sent 20k as well to DK2.

Looks like I should have some time this coming month to organise a few things and maybe even see what DK V2 is all about and make some EMC2 gameplay Smiley

Thank you for your contribution as well. Lots of things in the works for DKV such as a new casino where players can play BlackJack in game and several other things are coming as well courtesy of the new dev addition to the game.

So far DKV is impressing, i've played it since the beginning and the evolution is really interesting. Keep up the good work.

Just wanted to let you know that PICISI.com is currently in apha testing, we are integrating paypal into our crowdfunding platform, it would be great if we had an exchange sponsor such as Shapeshift.io to support the crypto side of our donation collection system.

We invite you to checkout the site.

Ok, so the ONLY working pool you have going now is https://emc2.suprnova.cc which seems to have no idea how to handle ASIC's. Within 60 seconds I got 100% rejects.

Passing on this coin for now until someone puts up a pool that works.

Bear in mind also that while you have a shortage of working pools, the network hashrate is so low that the coin is exposed to a malicious 51% attack that could fork it beyond repair.

Mines work fine, i'll contact the owner of the pool and see what can be done.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | funding science education, research, & development on: June 09, 2015, 11:54:16 PM
Yeah this coin really cheap price could and should be much higher

With the PICISI project on the way, EMC2 will have the opportunity to be used. That's what lacks to most CC.
