441  Economy / Speculation / Re: Say. Bitcoins, not "cryptos" on: December 07, 2022, 04:24:37 PM
I found one post earlier from a higher rank that it should not be called an "investment" anymore. I don't know what's the reason, but I do agree with it.
Sorry I cannot find his/her post anymore. (I am used to just browsing this forum and reading.)
The thing about it is, I am a supporter of Bitcoin no matter what happens. If it goes down, then it becomes an opportunity, if it goes up, then thank God the demand is higher again.
It became a hobby to just buy it whenever I can at a reasonable price. Is it still an investment? For me it became a natural reaction to buy it when most buyers are in doubt.

Orlando Magic - Los Angeles Clippers

Orlando Magic are not doing well at all, they only have 5 wins and 20 losses, everything gets worse because they come from a 9-loss streak and only had 1 win in the last 10 games, without a doubt that coach Jamahl Mosley must not be sleeping well, while the Clippers come to this game with 14 wins and 11 losses, and in their last 10 games they have won 4 losses and 6 wins, and a much better result compared to the Orlando Magic, but the Orlando Magic will be playing at home so that can be an advantage for them, although the bookmakers are giving a good advantage to the Clippers, I still think it will be a balanced game
With Kawhi at the starting lineup tonight I think that Clippers has more chances of winning even though he might have limited minutes. I think it's a no-brainer to root for Clippers to win this game even if they are away. No, I don't think it will be balanced at all when PG and Kawhi is on the court.
Every game he played the winning chance is always higher. Why? It's actually simple and it's not always in the stat sheet. He can do offense and he can do defense. Specially defense where you tap the ball and someone gets it, it won't add as a steal in your stat but will be given to the one who claimed the ball.
Clippers will win that a 95 percent chance. Magic have the firepower but Clippers has many players to counter that.

444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much initial startup to Start Cryptocurrency Casino? on: December 06, 2022, 08:27:24 AM
$100k is a lot of money. Start small, that's one you should consider first. I know that these times had been hard for every person because of the economic problem but you cannot just jump into higher steps without reputation yet. I'll focus on building that as an initial goal. Once you are established then that's when you can try new things.
Recently, I have been seeing more online casinos starting in the business, maybe that's the cheapest way to start before you add other games and sports betting.

I think they have done multiple experiments with or without AD and Lebron and we know what the result is, meaning either can't be missed as it will be a disaster.
Maybe. It could be the lack of shooters on why the effectiveness is so low. It's difficult for them to spread the floor and we saw how congested it is below the rim when AD is trying to penetrate, thankfully Lebron's shooting is getting better too.
And they found the perfect the combination of just bringing Westbrook at the bench. I like to point out the Pat is also being aggressive as far as his offense goes, he is shooting good in 3 and some dribble penetration. I guess there is a sense of urgency for them or for the players to really perform very well because there could be missed opportunity or at least they will know where to fit in when Davis or Lebron is out.
Or because they can be traded anytime, that is why performance should be in higher level.
The season is still early and there are a lot of possibilities
to happen, looking forward to more healthy competition.
No one would hope for an injury as we all like to see a healthy competition, Lakers without Davis is not gonna win in the playoffs, so let's hope that Davis will finish the season healthy.
Yes. That very obvious. This is like their bubble championship where he said, "It's all on me." after a loss against the Heat.
447  Economy / Economics / Re: Share Your Best Money Advice Based on Personal Experience on: December 05, 2022, 11:15:22 AM
Then I'd agree with your advice because I had been doing the same thing ever since. No debts at all. If there's a need for money that would not fit in my budget then me and my wife will decide to just pawn our gold for low interest rates.
It's still not debt because it's our asset and we could decide to just sell it instead if we cannot afford to get it back.

Be wise about spending the money especially in the market. Wet or dry. If you don't need it, don't buy it. Don't pile foods that have short life. i.e. fruits and vegetables. Just make the effort to go back and forth buying something for the day. Use bicycle as transportation to save more, it would do you good for a bit of exercise.
448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bottom prediction? on: December 04, 2022, 01:32:40 PM
I'd continue the DCA. Even when it drops you will be in a good position, and I doubt it will take long once it reached the $12000 mark which is your predicted number. There will always be buyers, do remember that. What's happening now is a good example of it, a big exchange just went bankrupt and yet Bitcoin is keeping the strong price of a 5-digit value.
Imagine how many investors will be lurking around to get that cheaper price.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 04, 2022, 09:56:32 AM
Right, by now we know what Davis can really bring to the Lakers, specially when he was in a rampage and the statistics that he has put in that 5 game stretch if I'm not mistaken. But they can't totally depend on him, because admit it or not, he is very fragile that a simple fail or just going to get the ball or even helping his team mates to stand up might result in pulled muscle or injuries.

So as a coach, Ham should experiment with different combination, sort of testing everything when Davis is on the bench.

To get a feel and see who works inside an who doesn't.
Well said and I agree with it. The Lakers team should always prepare about what may happen in the future as Davis's had a bad history of sudden injuries which will leave them hanging again. Lebron is also in the stage of that as he is getting older.
Next will be Westbrook to lead the team, Schroder to back him up and Reaves to be the next playmaker if Russ will let it.
They have a lot of young players too, give them more minutes to gain more experience on a well-lighted floor. They may be good at practice but it's always different when it's game time.
450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ponzi scheme scammer uses BTC to cover tracks on: December 03, 2022, 06:01:52 AM
When no new money enters the system, the bottom line of the pyramid loses their money and the creator of the scam takes it all.
The scammer asks to get paid in BTC, not in fiat currency.

Can his BTC address somehow lead to an arrest?
Does this mean they really know the owner of the scheme, because it's just a sudden change of payment option.
That means he can run but he cannot hide anymore if his identity was already known from the start where the member are paying fiat.
Ponzi schemes don't last long. And historically these people are arrested because the source of the money is easily identified.
Now with BTC I think it is much harder to identify the scammer and to stop the scheme. I think it's harder for any government to prove that there is a Ponzi scheme in the first place
It is. But there are always ways to track them. It's not like Bitcoin is pure anonymous. Somehow, that address will try to send it to someone, mix it, or send to an exchange to make it to cash. Or, if ever he tries to use BTC directly, it can still be traced.
451  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Japan fall behind in the crypto industry ? on: December 02, 2022, 11:25:57 AM
Bitcoin is accepted even before as far as my knowledge which I read from news. But we don't hear a lot of noise about it because their system is working. The no physical contact transaction which just use QR codes to pay everything. Their own digital transactions. If it's working and it's not giving them any trouble, then why change it?
They are one of the top in cashless basis transaction but it's not just cryptocurrencies.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's freedom is Absolute! on: December 02, 2022, 04:03:44 AM
That's a human decision. It's called "free will". Satoshi just offered the technology. We have to decide at how far we are willing to take to make it secure.
We learn things, we see exchanges bankruptcy a lot of times, it scares the hell out of us if it does happen at where we are keeping our Bitcoin.
This is why having a cold wallet is the "best advice". You are not forced, you still have a choice but that's the best option for security.
It's just sad though because it was repeatedly suggested, and yet lesser people are listening.
Sure you can do what you want with Bitcoin, that's yours, you own it, but how about those going back here crying about what happened to them.
It's a risk that we should also be willing to take, no running back to mommy.
453  Economy / Economics / Re: Effect of Fake Bitcoins demand for the real One on: December 01, 2022, 03:49:08 PM
I began to believe that the recent extinction of Bitcoin ATH was due to these Fake coins that were printing non-existent coins and selling them, so I hope that this topic covers all of these points or one of them:
Extinction of Bitcoin ATH? Or aren't most people are just in a hurry to see another ATH?
It took years for Bitcoin to reach this amount and just because we experience an ATH that was hard to believe doesn't mean it can always go back there in a blink. Sure, it's a valuable asset but it won't rise if the demands are low.
A big competition is happening in the crypto world and investors looking for rare gems where they could invest their stablecoins instead of buying Bitcoin first while looking for that gem.
  • People's laziness in withdrawing their money from platforms makes real Bitcoin less valuable?
  • What would happen if everyone decided to withdraw their coins? And how will it affect real bitcoins.
  • If these actions continue, can these platforms influence the price of bitcoin and reduce it by arbitrage or shorting between them?
Was this about w-BTC? Even if you don't withdraw it from another platform the demands should still go up.
There would always be the "many" trying to stock up more Bitcoin than sellers.
Arbitrage is a risky method because once the market reacts after they take out those funds, it's more losses than gains.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 01, 2022, 02:40:24 PM
How about DeAndre Ayton lately? He’s playing like a man possessed. Him and Devon Booker put on a show last night being the first Suns teammates to ever score 50 and 30 in the same game!
Oh, that's true about Ayton. All changed after CP3 was injured. I guess someone pushed him that he should step up his game now that they need help badly both in offense and defense. He became dominant in the paint, scoring is not a problem anymore as long as it's in near the rim. Rebounding stats soared and he has more confidence. Phoenix Suns will have better chances now to be a champion if he will be able to keep this up.
He is learning, gaining experience, and that extension will be worth every dollar.

456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first attempt to play gambling on: November 29, 2022, 05:12:05 AM
I think the most usual start is from a friend. They are the bad influences of our life, I mean that's in my case. Cheesy Before, I don't usually gamble, I just play with friends with just kids stuff, cars, toys made of plastic and rubbers and sports. That's all we do, until a new friend comes who knows how to gamble with just the simple 52 cards, the popular deck.
It may just be for nickel and dimes but in the long run it's getting frustrating if you will lose it all. My first attempt and a long losing streak was not fun at all.

458  Economy / Economics / Re: Corrupt people in crypto on: November 27, 2022, 10:12:25 PM
There had been less trust even before. Those who can take the courageous risk and be patient are the ones left in the crypto field.
But investors who are just jumping from one hype to another are the ones who should be careful on this kind of corrupted projects as how you said it.

How to stop them? You cannot. If you will have the knowledge initially about their scam attempts, then you could warn people but stopping them by yourself or just one group cannot be done. The market will be the judge if they are to become dust.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2022, 03:09:14 PM
It was the king's comeback for the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James showed his difference in his second away game against the San Antonio Spurs. He finished the game with 39 points and 11 rebounds. This time, Anthony Davis did not play in this match, but Dennis Schoreder made a significant contribution to the team. All is well with the Los Angeles Lakers for now. He will now play both games in Los Angeles.
Lebron won't be enough, we all know that. But with Schroder, it is enough to win a game as long as he will have the best night of his life.
This is the Schroder that I have seen in the Eurobasket just months ago. The Lakers team might not be his countrymen, or he is not fighting for his country, but the honor is there. If he plays well, his countrymen are rejoicing about his success.
I cannot wait to see how much chemistry they can create when AD is back. With Schroder backing up the bench team, they won't have to worry whenever they need a rest.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: November 25, 2022, 11:46:07 AM
- Do you think The Gambling Industry Is Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market?
If it deals with cryptocurrencies, then I think yes.
- Will the industry lose the trust of gamblers if one or two casinos scammed their players by closing down and running with what
money they have that belongs to the gamblers?
Gamblers will just have to take care of themselves. That's the first rule, find a reputable online casino then stay with it. Looking for another just adds to the risk of your money getting rekt.
  - As a gambler do you use gambling sites to store your coins like what traders are doing on exchanges?
No, that's worse than keeping it in an exchange. I'd rather take the effort of depositing every now and then.
  - What would gamblers think if a casino does not agree to show proof of money from new and old casinos
It becomes fishy. They may lose players/gamblers if they will not follow the protocols or whatever is being asked. Showing it won't hurt them, if not there must be something they are trying to get away with. Tax, maybe?
