441  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: lncrease in price of crude on: March 12, 2024, 04:16:40 PM
The funny thing about these revenue increase to Nigerian government, it outcome doesn't amount or commiserate to anything. Me I don't focus on the revenue wey Nigeria dey make through petroleum and likewise, I believe say many nigerians too no dey too read on dem because wetin matter na how standard of living go improve and people go happy for the country when things dey go fine but government dey put square peg for round hole so that dem go fit embezzle. Only IGR for the country self don increase since wey tinubu enter because him don review tax policy which means even more money dey enter government hand from that corner apart from crude exportation and it increase.
442  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What's up with the regular tarnishing of our reputation ni? on: March 12, 2024, 02:26:09 PM
Country no good be say country no good, although some people dey add cause and insult to government but if dem dey complain omo dem dey complain be that.

See ehn.... If to say the government dey show people light at the end of the tunnel then people go dey get hope but dey are not seeing anything positive rather economy and standard of living keeps falling. No government wey come perform pass the previous government or even equal am but that is how e suppose be, from Obasanjo time to now, na so the country dey degenerate, so how people no go complain?

People gat to complain because Nigeria dey blessed for natural resources and government suppose harness dem to provide environment and business opportunities for people and then they can hussle for themselves. Some Asian countries wey Nigeria better pass before, all don move on and contesting with best economies of the world. How many oyibo people you dey see for Nigeria again say dem come work for naija factory? If no be few wey dey for construction. Before, na oyibo dey head Nigerian numerous factories, dem dey com naija con find deir belle and dem go invest in biscuits companies, plastic, soap etc, now the oyibo wey we dey see na those women wey Yahoo boys carry come back to run one or two  Grin

Omo naija guys get right to complain but them go just make a moderate while all man go dey hussle to help himself until if government go help themselves if that is possible.
443  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Reason why the rich always get richer on: March 12, 2024, 01:38:17 PM
The most important reason wey make the rich dey continue dey rich be information and this information waka reach every aspect of life. Like for example, some poor people no sabi say bank fit give them loan so that them go pay later, dem no kuku sabi the process but rich person get such information and he is tapping on it. I tell you most businesses wey you see big men dey do, dem dey run am under loan through the bank partnership.

Another reason be say rich people get moral to invest money. Although dem already get money because poor people excuse be say dem no get money to invest but even when dem get that money dem no go still know how to utilize the money. Rich people get mind to invest so long dem see viability of investment.

Them dey also dey futuristic and not just to dey look at the immediate. Like a typical example na this Bitcoin price wey don begin dey bull now at $72k ATH, some people don dey do DCA since wey price dey below $30k, so tell me now wey price don high like this, you know see say na better cash depending on quantity wey person buy and the price go still high more.

So the points for me na information, mind to take futuristic risk.
444  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Too much pressure on the male child on: March 11, 2024, 05:30:14 PM

A common problem of every person in the world is that if there is no money in the pocket, human pressure is created whether it is a boy or a girl.

That is the point. Everyone wants a better life and the need to make money. The bulk of financial burden is being taking away from the male folks with the feminist movement that has emancipated the female folks to be independent from men and so at the moment, that male dominance/financial responsibility is now played down on making that importance of a male child not so important even in third world countries. In the past, such communities hardly adopt children and when they do, they go for male but the situation has changed now. Families who don't have children easily adopt and they now choose to have female adopted.
445  Economy / Economics / Re: Technology and work ethics on: March 11, 2024, 04:06:19 PM

I understand the importance of monitoring workers to ascertain there level of productivity, and to improve workers attendance and also enhance Cyber security but then, the inability of most management to go about this ethically has been of great concern to me.

What's your view about this?

I don't see anything wrong with management trying to maximize their productivity of their worker by installing CCTV on the work area and not on the rest rooms. Going about it ethically is by getting employees informed about it or by not installing it in secret places but places where you don't need to be told about it while you are in work areas. I don't support workers being wasteful during work hours or using work time for personal gains and business. There are some workers who will sleep all through work hours or take such time to secretly go away from work to probably visit their wives  Grin and yet they want to be paid at the end of the month. Therefore, installation of CCTV to monitor workers is more creative and meant to get workers to utilize work hours for the work that they are paid for. Moreover, it also help to check insecurities around the company.
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Restricted games on one casino but playable to other one on: March 11, 2024, 03:20:23 PM
I see nothing much to discuss here. Different casinos have different rules and contracts with gambling operators. This is the same as being amazed why in one shop Coca-Cola cost 1 EUR, but in the other 99 cents. Have you checked where those casinos are registered or operate from? Just like with Coca-Cola example, in Europe we have it produced in Poland and in Italy. And people admit that even though ingredients must be identical, Coca-Cola has different tastes.
It is even simple. He know casino site that allows people from his country to play a game that is not allowed in another casino. So why not just go to the casino that allows the game and gamble there without using VPN. I will not encourage the use of VPN because of this kind of thing. Also there are sometimes that the best is to message the customer care of the casino and let them tell him if it is good or not.

I also don't see any thing that makes a difference if Op can access the game from one end and it is not available in the other casino. This simply means the casinos signed a different terms of contract with the game providers and they also choose the game they want to be played for the public either based on what they feel as the house winning chances. So if a gambler bypasses their tos and use VPN, that is a violation and might get the player not to be able to withdraw if he has a winning.

It is better to keep to the casino's rules and regulations, they choose what they want and get it to be programmed there.
447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does the game of luck in gambling really works? on: March 11, 2024, 01:01:25 PM

Your luck in gambling will come when the time is ripe, don't beat yourself or try to force anything, and don't go and change your gambling strategy because of this, keep risking only what you can afford, everyone has luck in them, the timing is the only different there.

I also believe in the luck thing in gambling and when the time comes, the luck will show. No need to try to adjust to strategies especially when they are already working and you are getting winning from it. This is what happens and some people will feel that they are not lucky enough and they want to change certain ways that they have been gambling thinking it is not favourable to them but not knowing that their own lucky day is coming and it will only happen when they stick to what has been working for them.

There is a pattern that works for gambler but some are still not confident on it to have winning from it but they look at what winnings others have and throw away already winning strategy because of that negative thinking that they are not winning enough but not knowing they have their own days lined up for them.  There is always a winning season for every gambler only if you have a working strategy then keep to it.
448  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Demonization of politics in our society. on: March 11, 2024, 06:30:34 AM
Politics of self enrichment is the type that corrupts the whole community but that kind of people based politics grows the society with new sets of politicians that will carry on with fortifying the institutions that upholds truth and justice, you can't give what you don't have.

It is simple, if a country has eroded itself with negative minded people who have gone into politics then the country's economy will keep going down the drain because nothing will matter to the people in authority only that they want to enrichment themselves. So there is the need to build institutions that protects right of the people to encourage patriotism and good conscience to the country and this is what has been lacking in the countries of less technologically developed countries where institutions of democracy are almost not functional or independent. For example the institution that conducts election into political offices have been alleged to be highly corrupt. Also the justice system is more of an affiliate of the executives or those in the ruling party.

So where there are no independent institutions, politics will be a game of the highest bidder.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer betting your own predictions or from prediction site on: March 11, 2024, 05:07:10 AM

There are gamblers who have great instincts and can forecast games that may end up winning the bet. But they are scared that they may lose. They dont trust their own betting predictions so they would rather go to a gambling prediction site to some daily betting tips.

I think it is just very few gamblers that don't use prediction sites. So it not just about being scared is probably to get more confirmation. To use gambling site is bad but it is for better assurance that you are also on the right track in your analysis.

Mostly, those who are multiple bettors won't have to bet only from their experience, they have to as well consult from gambling site

So i want to know as a gambler that you are, do you feel following those betting predictions from those sites would favour us in gambling more than our own predictions? For me i trust my predictions and i have won more when i predict for myself than letting someone predict for me.

Except you are not a multi bettor, you must have to check the gambling sites to confirm some games that you have included before you stake. To analyze much games, you probably have to confirm from betting site except you are betting on very few games. Like I predict on few games especially popular leagues but if it has to do with multiple bet then I have to check some sites.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have this practice of gambling during one's wake on: March 10, 2024, 08:53:40 PM
Well basically in some places, it's common to play games during funerals to support the grieving family. People contribute a fee to help cover expenses. Whether it's legal depends on local rules and traditions so it's good to keep things in line with what's accepted in your area. In my country, playing games during wakes and pitching in is a common thing and it's called sugalan. It's like a community way to help out the grieving family with expenses

Rather in some other countries, what is done is to donate to the family or do a contribution to help the family take care of the finance of the burial. Some people buy drinks and other preparatory things, some give cash gift. I have not witnessed gambling at the funeral ground for the sake of generating funds for the bereaved family. Well tradition and culture really differ from region to region.
451  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Happy women's day to every woman among bitcoin community. on: March 10, 2024, 06:00:47 PM
I join my voice to celebrate women in the world. They have really been a strong contributors of the world's growth in every spheres of life. In governance, the queen of England was a very powerful voice until she is no more and today we still have women who have made their marks in different levels of governance and different world's organisations.

At the home front, they are still showing presence and taking charge of their domestic duties. They say women are multi tasked and of course they play a very crucial role in the training of the child despite supporting the home financially.

Most importantly, when duty calls, they are there to play that amorous role with the husband. They are such a talented and multiple tasked angels.
452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your go-to sports betting risk management strategies? on: March 10, 2024, 05:35:12 PM

3. Cash Out: When you cash out in betting, you take a portion payout from the bet before the game is over
It is do to guarantee a profit or minimize losses, especially when the original bet is winning or losing.

This is a strategy that has made losers in the past before it introduction to have some winning. This is a strategy that I have heard many gamblers have been happy about since it was introduced. Although some have said it is not really fine for them because it is tempting for them as it makes them reduce their potential win after they cash out and they eventually win the game. However, it is a strategy that I use sometimes when I have to if I don't have the confidence of the remaining games coming through. So, it is a strategy that has helped bettors not to lose everything even though sometimes you can feel your have been shortchanged but you have to move on.

1. Hedging - Basically it is placing another bet to reduce the potential losses or risks associated with your first bet.

2 Arbitrage Betting - Here you bets on all possible outcomes of an event with different bookmakers to secure a profit no matter of the outcome.

For me I think these two options are showing more of desperation and likely the strategy of those who are addicts and doesn't want to lose anything at all. If you are gambling as a source of income, then such person will be using this strategy but a regular gambler may not find them necessary.
453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It’s unlikely that anyone besides you will be happy with your winnings. on: March 10, 2024, 04:21:41 PM

I know that many friends and acquaintances get depressed when they find out how much you have earned. For them, it will be an unnecessary reminder of their failure.

It is not a lie that things like this happen. Some friends are envious of their friend who have won bet especially if it is very huge and they themselves have not won that much. The envy is well expressed if the friend has not won a bet to a reasonable amount or even at all. It is always like a thing of comparison between what the friend won and what they have won too. But it should be understandable that some people envy your progress while some like it. So we just have to be careful to determine those who are happy with us and those who are friend and enemy. However, it is not advisable that you expose your winnings to everyone, it is better that they may know you have a winning but you can keep the value of your winning away from them except you are a streamer.

But it’s still better to hide your victories from others. I've seen many clear examples.

Sure, some people may make you feel they are happy with your winning but they are not really happy with it in secret.
454  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Take your Job/fund security seriously on: March 10, 2024, 02:17:13 PM

Getting good job in the country presently is very difficult as most good company that pay well hardly advertlse their vacancy publicly. Good jobs nowadays is more like man know man. Is better to hold to what you have and do some side hustling with it to cope with the present inflation in the country.

E don tay wey be say job search don be scam, no be today. People wey still dey find job dey pay money and at the end of the day dem go wack the money without the job. The story of job search no start today but it only got worst with the APC government since buhari regime and in fact plus the bad economy wey we dey see now, the thing just increase that you no even dey see any person wey get new employment and this na because the economy itself don dey bad , things don worst wey even small companies wey remain don pack up. I dey even wonder where the jobs dey self and na lack of job wey make people dey enter force. Before for naija, na Northerners dey enter force but this time around wey job no dey, people dey look for means to feed oo and dem no get choice.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A personal view on: March 10, 2024, 01:38:09 PM

👉how do you feel when peopel ask you for money to gamble?,

No body ask me for money to gamble and that is wrong to do. If you want to gamble then you have to use your money to do that and bear the consequences either for winning or losing.

do you gamble with debt?  Or would you never indulge in such no matter how sure you are about the game ? [/b]

Never to do that because you there is no guarantee to win. Gamble with money you can afford to lose.

👉Do you set rules or limits on how much you stake per week to control your addiction or you are disciplinedenough to know when to stop?

This is the best way to get good gambling habit. Setting limit is already what is connected with discipline, if you are not discipline even if you set limit, you will violent it by gambling beyond the limit when you are at lose.

👉behind the mask of loving to gamble if you get rich would you still gamble or never again?

Those who feel that gambling is for fun may perhaps keep gambling despite the outcome in riches but for those seeking profit alone may discontinue if they get rich through gambling.
456  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Just imagine this thing. on: March 09, 2024, 09:59:34 PM
This your question wey you dey ask now e get as e be. For your first paragraph and last one na say, if person lose him wallet and probably can't recover it. This na base on individual and na question wey straight, asking wetin you go do if you no see your coins again.

Bros, you sabi say no be everybody get mind to do certain things but I believe say some people go commit suicide depending on how much dey inside. Omo imagine say bull round complete finish you con dey cash out $200 million then that kind thing con happen and you can't find access to your wallet again.

I still know say some go leave for God. So I different ways but me I never know wetin I fit even do self  Grin

But make you know follow people wey go dey regret. Make you keep your keys wey. Not your keys not your coin oo
457  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Hunger in the country on: March 09, 2024, 06:01:20 PM
Even in the most developed countries, there's hunger there only for the people that are not ready to work, that is why there's no food for a lazy man, if they think begin is the way out of poverty then they can continue in doing that till eternity, people to learn how they can be independent, build a career and develop themselves for better future, we can not be irresponsible to ourselves and expect other people to be responsible on us, some already are swimming in this low self esteem such a way that they believe there can never be anything good coming out of them, now show me a hungry man and i will point at a lazy man for you.

You get point my brother to the extent wey you talk about people helping themselves by doing things wey go support them but the last part of an hungry man being tied to being lazy, me I no agree to that one. Truly say some people still dey lazy but my brother you no go compare a Nigerian to white man interms of hussle. You no go compare the work wey Nigerian dey do for the country take compare abroad and how much them dey collect at the end of the work. Omo sometimes self if you look energy wey you go exert take do daily pay job wey be like 5k to 8k and how much medicine you go take treat yourself, you fit forget the work. Okay na how much be minimum wage for naija and how much e be for abroad? In fact, for abroad na per hour dem dey pay and if you convert daily pay for naira you fit dey 150k, you no wonder how naija guys dey hammer for abroad, abi naija guys still lazy from abroad.
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 09, 2024, 05:00:00 PM

at least thinking about Drake's loss compared to mine makes me think i'm not the worst gambler.

Lol... But drake isn't a worst gambler himself, he is probably in an outing for the weekend and enjoying himself with friends because he is worth the money that he is using to bet and betting as he can afford as fun. That is the difference with the wealthy betting and probably those who gamble only for the profit and when they don't succeed, they either begin to ask for crowdfunding to replace the money that they have used to bet. However, Ngannou disappointed many of his supporters but I never thought Joshua would give in that easy, alas he won.

Haha, so what do you do when you lose? Grin
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does possessing information play an important role in betting ? on: March 09, 2024, 03:30:46 PM

Possessing the correct information in the world of gambling is an advanced and useful step, as it makes the player play more comfortably without pressure from other players, which can change the course of the game at any time, increase the percentage of chances of profit, and reduce the percentage of losses on the other hand.

Information is key to every part of life no doubt but you didn't tie it to your post in any form.

So, what kind of information will a gambler possess that the other gambler doesn't possess? I mean every one in the gambling circle knows the leagues if you are talking about football and if they want to seek for more information to analyze their games they do further research and analyze their game which could fail or win just like any other gambler. I don't see anything special that you are saying about information in gambling. The internet is there to source for sites to help the gambler except they are lazy. Moreover, there are no perfect prediction and that is why gambling is still luck based

-Do you apply  this strategy while gambling?
-How do you benefit from it ?

What strategy precisely? Strategy of information?  Grin
460  Other / Off-topic / Re: specialty or "Jack of all trade? on: March 09, 2024, 12:00:02 PM
Being a professional doesn't mean you are only secluded to that part of profession. A professional also will have other areas of passion that they like and can do well in them because like you said people are not having single source of income to survive in the present inflated economy. The difference may be that the person may be earning quite more from his professional work more than he earns from the second skill. Doctors have other source of income, like some are also crypto enthusiast and investors, same thing applies to the other professional fields you mentioned, they have other sources of income and it doesn't make them jack of all trade and masters of none  Grin

You don't survive just by having one source of income, a doctor for example again can be a surgeon while he has an drug store where drugs are sold. He could also own stores where medical equipments are sold and that gives him more income. So these days people do different skills combined together and no one is lagging behind.
