I voted for bounty rolls, faucet and deposit bonus. Faucet and deposit bonus to attract new players and bounty roll to keep them ( now thinking i would also tick the dice jackpot ).

464  Economy / Games and rounds / Freebitco.in - refback earnings on: December 04, 2016, 08:11:53 PM
For a long time a have been following freebitco.in which to my opinion is one of the best bitcoin faucets ever offering great service with nice rewards, lottery, gifts etc. .... always paying on time.

Some time ago I decide to give back 60% of all my referral earnings but since now I'm going to raise the refback to 90% for 4 upcoming weeks
(it means during December 2016 anybody can earn 45% more than usual claim )

Don't hesitate to join as my ref to earn a bit more than usual ( find reflink in my signature).
I would appreciate feedback or confirmation you have received reward promised in this post.

DETAILS: Refback is set to "90% share amount based on referral activity since last payout"

Always RTFM:

2.What do I need to do to invest in HaoBTC?

Click Sign Up , and activate your account. Following an ID verification process, then depending on your need, you can either use the Wallet or the Financing. In case of the former, the first installment of interest will arrive one hour exactly after your deposit is confirmed with us. In case of the later, the minimum requirement is 10 BTC and you have to wait for a month to see the interest payment deposited to your account.

1.What is verification?

National and International laws regulate the flow of currency in order to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. Although we are not officially regulated yet, we have decided to stay compliant with these laws by following AML and CTF guidelines. As part of our KYC (Know Your Customer) policy, we ask our users to provide their personally identifiable information. As of October 8, 2015, users are required to submit a photo facing the camera with handhold ID documents.

https://haobtc.com/common/faq

I'm used to read the FAQs usually and search in ToS for specific wording (not reading them all as it's very long in most cases) but this is first time I overlooked such thing. My point was that within other services which I use it was always clear to me from the very beginning (some blinking 'not verified', 'limited access' or similar). But OK.. It is clearly written there so fault is on my side.

Things are going even more complicated as I do not have the passport nor China ID. Now I'm trying to get in touch with support and quite curious how this is going to end. At least I will have guidance for other users in similar position.

thank you all for opinions ... especially to pedrog ( your message is very clear )

469  Economy / Service Discussion / Haobtc - identification on: October 05, 2016, 07:11:24 PM
HI all, just wanted to withdraw some BTC from haobtc and to my surprise they require identification using my passport or China ID  Huh Huh ...  quite surprised as I did not expect it.
Anybody facing similar surprise? Am I the only one who did not notice such major thing during the registration?

It's not such big deal ... I just hate to reveal my identity anywhere.

471  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW MANY MBTC DO I NEED TO GET 1BTC on: October 02, 2016, 09:33:28 AM
Came across the word mbtc on the ptc sites. so just want to know how many mbtc I will need to get 1btc

mbtc stands for miliBTC and it is same like any other mili prefix (milimeter, mililiter ....) .... 1 mBTC = 0.001 BTC

Other commonly used fractions are
satoshi - smallest fraction so far ... is equal to 0.000 000 01 BTC
microBTC  - (μBTC) also called BITS and equals to 0.000 001 BTC
Bitcent - which is equal to 0.01 BTC

If I want to spend the paper wallet bitcoin do I just give the merchant my public key?
No. You need to send the BTC from your address (public key). Knowing your public key the merchant can only check how much BTC you have, transaction history etc.

Quote
How does the network know I hold the private key from just that private key info?
Does not know ... network do not care until you send the transaction

Quote
If I want to send the bitcoin to someone do I have to download the entire bitcoin protocol to do that?
All you need is to broadcast signed transaction (to sign the transaction you need to know the private key ... this is how you prove the ownership).
Only nods can broadcast transactions but you can use third party to PUSH your signed tx. Signing transaction is bit tricky so most convenient way is to import private key to any lightweight wallet like electrum, multibit...  and use it further as a regular desktop/mobile wallet.

Quote
Is there a smaller version I can use to just send bitcoin?
There is plenty mobile/ lightweight wallets, if mean so. Check this is great wallet overview

478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying bitcoins with credit card on: September 08, 2016, 03:19:23 PM
I have been using bitcoin for a long time but I never bought any bitcoin with my credit card yet, however now I want to but I don't know which site is the best or safest for such thing. I was thinking about coinbase, anyone knows?

To use Coinbase is good idea, they are trustworthy and secure. I have bought few BTC as well and have no issues.
Great thing is when you buy 100$ BTC (for first time) you will receive 10$ reward (as well as your referrer).
479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Want to get into trading, please help! on: September 06, 2016, 07:55:24 PM
I want to get into trading with alt coins, and i want to know where to begin. Just looking to make some extra btc. Please help, thanks! Grin

Just to remind... trading is not always profitable so use only what you can afford to loose.

Nothing is quick and to become a successful trader you need have a lot of experience or be incredible lucky. Don't think anybody going to share his real good working strategy (I would definitely not if had any) and some users could even try to mislead and manipulate you towards their own profits, just be cautious.

I think you should first get some knowledge and catch the terminology by reading post dedicated to exchanges so you know what people are discussing. Then begin to trade using small amounts and see how the market works. Maybe later after developing your skills you can try automated trader e.g. CAT to increase your profits.

Popular exchanges are poloniex.com yobit.net and bittrex.com

good luck
480  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Looking to buy a Ledger Nano HW.1 on: September 04, 2016, 04:14:03 PM
I am looking to buy a Ledger Nano HW.1 now that my amount of coins it means something valuable to me and I don't want to lose it. So far I am keeping it in Multibit HD in Linux secure operating systems with all updates and everything but its still an OS which can be leaked. I want to buy a Ledger Nano HW.1 and I wanted to know here the cheapest price, best website to buy it.

My best find so far is at ebay.co.uk at about 60 pound including shipping to my place which is a really big price. I am going to pay it of course if I don't see better options here but just wanted to ask in this forum as there are always people smarter than me here.

Checked the ledgerwallet.com and i cannot see the Ledger Nano HW.1 ... just Ledger Nano S (68 EUR), Ledger Nano (35 EUR) and Ledger HW.1 (18 EUR) ... which one you want?

only I can offer is to use my reflink for purchase and share 50% of my reward  (but not sure how much it is)
