OK are are pictures of before in device manager and after in device manager when Zadig program is run and WINUSB is applied. Note that after STM32 is still in device manage but now listed under USB devices instead of com ports and it no longer has a com port assigned to it.

I i could figure out a way to assign a com port maybe I might be all set

And you can't just change it in properties I suppose?

Are you sure the comport is right? I also had a DM from someone with the same error, in that case the usb port was faulty. So try a different port as well.
The USB port is fine. The PC is brand new build, The device worked before through the port before I switched this driver

I think he meant, in the batch file. You have to look in device manager for the COM port, and see what number it is assigned, and the put that in the batch file. I think that is what he means.

That is the problem when I istall the WINUSB, the device dissappears in my device manager along with the com port, check the link i posted up to. I have the newer version which is somewhat different then the one they used in their how to.

Sorry, I don't know the answer either. Maybe if I have time, I can try to test it. But if you don't have a COM port in your devicemanager, it makes sense that the minerd can not connect to a COM port.

Bounty SENT!

Thanks, I confirm that I've received 0.1 BTC Smiley

Look at this site http://www.2euroinks.com/

They want an incentive to add PMC or pre-order

From e-mail "To be perfectly honest with you, most of the coins we have listed, had offered a bounty for accepting their coin. Now as PMC most likely can't offer that kind of incentive, maybe there's another way we could work together. One option which came to mind is that of getting some -pre-order interest in our website. For example, 20 PMC holders (in Europe) pledge to place an order with the website - and if there's interest, then we can look to accept PMC"

I think that we would skip this offer but I'd like to known your opinion.

Not for me either. They only sell their own brand toners. I have bad experience with various no-name toners, so I only want the original HP ones now.

Maybe you could consider to use cryptocointalk forum. That one is much more organized.
Yes, cryptocointalk does really have good design and organization but I just think there are more people here.

I think there are more people here indeed. But I agree that it seems less crowded. Maybe some people started leaving because of bct's attitude towards altcoins?

Cudaminer is scrypt by default. Add --algo=sha256d to your command line. Your hashrate is very low, so don't expect many coins.

OK followed this, when I downloaded Zadig there was nothing in the drop down menu, i had to select list all devices, now STM32 virtual com port came up and I installed the driver. I am now mining BTC side but my Scrypt side now fails even with the --dual option added to the bat file!!!

471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Switchercoin.com ! We mining forks - get LTC ! on: March 06, 2014, 09:54:06 AM
After 12 hours of mining all my balances still show zero. Hashrate is shown correctly. How often are balances supposed to be updated?

What's your hashrate? Balances on the left are only shown up to 4 digits max (which I think should be corrected), so it could be you have a balance, but it's just to low to show at the moment.

Look under 'My account' and look at the transaction history for some of the coins. There should be some transactions at least after 12hours (look at LTC and DOGE mainly).

Volume is quite high though...

More like: back where it was before poloniex went down. But the volume is good. Now we just need even more volume Smiley

You have Premine coin and PMC, they are the same!

Finally got a Mintpal account...  what an easy to use nicely done exchange!
Lets get back to voting for PMC!

http://mintpal.com/voting

We are down but not out!

I keep on voting, but it is very hard to get on top with coins like zedcoin that get 3.3BTC in paid votes.

Mintpal has a few almost 'dead' coins already ... I hope more than just how many BTC you can throw at them initially helps our cause...

I hope so to. But at the moment they are adding the coins at the top of the list, and there are new coins all the time that get on top because of paid votes.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TAKEICOIN - SHA256 - Kimoto Gravity Well - Media Machine on: March 05, 2014, 02:45:16 PM
Block 159136 will be target for Kimoto Gravity Well fork. We will give everyone ample time to switch to the new wallet and ensure proper transition.
Please take a look at -datadir functionality in the new wallet. I have tried everything, but for me the TakeiCoin wallet (using v0.9.0.0) is the ONLY wallet out of 25 wallets I'm using where the -datadir option simply doesn't work. There are several other people that have the same issue, I'm 100% confident the problem is wallet-related.

I spoke with some people in the IRC already, none could fix the issue. So please, look into that as it would be great to have it fixed and finally working in the new wallet! Smiley

I will talk to the QT guy about this. He's in the middle of adding IRC to the wallet so he can look into it while working on that.
Awesome! Whenever you have an update or the new wallet is ready, please provide a small changelog on what's updated. Thanks in advance, keep up the good work! Smiley

I am using v0.9.0.1-beta, and -datadir is working fine for me.

480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: cheapest way a pool on: March 05, 2014, 02:13:23 PM
Just setup a VPS at digitalocean, and use MPOS to setup the pool. Price starts at $5/month, but you will need a better VPS once users start coming in (which is very easy to do, takes 2 min to upgrade your VPS).
