481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: December 15, 2017, 12:34:26 AM
I just received my December batch L3+ today and when I opened it and took out the miner, if I turn it upside down, I hear something moving around inside. This can't be good, right? I will test more shortly once I get home from work.
The sound is your hashboards. They do make a rattle noise. I wouldn't jostle them around too much like turning them "upside down". You may knock a Heat Sync off.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash hacked? on: December 13, 2017, 02:27:02 PM
anyone who goes back to using nicehash is a moron and deserves to have there coin stolen again, it happened once. it will happen again especially now that people know that nicehash is a good target. doubt there going to be able to pay back 60 to 78 million dollars any time soon, they don't even make that much a year
Shut the fuck up. You're a fucking idiot. Eat a dick.

says the person whos impressed about nicehash. yet they haven't returned a dime yet to there users
I'm sure you'd like to be tried, convicted and punished by a bunch of assclowns in a chat room huh? "Innocent until proven guilty". It's really better that way than yours. Stop acting like some Totalitarian dictator. Maybe.....just maybe, those guys are trying to run an honest business and they are victims too. How would you like to have your business torn apart by criminals and then be accused of the crime? We all make mistakes. Trust me....I make plenty.

Was thinking that seeds would become the new currency a mistake? Lol ... Sorry, couldn't resist.

I'm in total agreement with you on the NH ordeal.  I know people are pissed off that they lost money, but no one really knows who is responsible.  Just a ton of people making unnecessary accusations.

its pretty clear who is responsible, nicehash for being soooo naïve to leave 78 million dollars worth of coin in a hot wallet that was poorly secured and yall don't blame them? what morons you all are. technically they wernt hacked, someone logged into there NETWORK with one of the developers credentials. for all yall know it was an inside job and someone handed another person the login info.
I find it interesting that some of the top law enforcement and investigative agencies on the planet have not reached the same conclusions as you and THEY actually have access to the forensics and intelligence. Yet, here you are.....infamous keyboard Judge, Jury and Executioner having already SOLVED the Nicehash case. Nothing you've said is based in any confirmed fact. NOTHING. So it's really pretty clear to all who read this thread who the "moron" is. Well, except you of course. This is typical of morons. You're always the last to know. Why......well.....because you're a moron of course.

Mine arrived this morning at work, 3 day turn around from China to Melbourne Australia - had to pay for the clearing fee yesterday and I had them in hand 12 hours later.

Will fire them up when I go home soon.

I also got some miners today. Bitmain seems to be working hard to brush the D3 stink off them. I just got S9's two weeks early!! That's pretty significant. They're putting up great numbers these days. I'm feeling pretty warm and fuzzy towards Bitmain lately. Even after I got bit by some D3 serpents too.

486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] granatgas-pool x11 and scrypt multipool on: December 11, 2017, 06:24:17 PM
Little update:
The Profit goes down, there are several reasons for that: New batches of miners (D3,L3+) arrives and Nicehash is currently down, they got attacked by hackers so a lot of new miners come and mine on the the multipools so the difficulty of the small coins also increased a lot.

The stratum servers are not so stable: someone try to destroy them all the time.

What we do: The pool is so much damaged that we have to make bigger changes and we are currently on this. It looks quit good and i give you an update when i can say more.

-So we are there Granat the CEO is hard working to solve this and we thought that is better when we give updates when we really have something big, i hope you can understand this. Stay tuned!

Thank you for the update. Best of luck to you. Look forward to your return!!

I must say, I am impressed with how these men have handled this situation. To date, they show extreme character and honesty. If they in fact do reimburse users for their losses, that would be an epic achievement and one that earns and deserves respect and patronage from those who have need for their services. If they afford compensation for losses, (mine was very small) I would absolutely use them. Nicehash has always been just a failover for me, but I found their platform to be rock solid and their service more than adequate. I could reasonably assume that once they are past this, that they will have learned by test of fire, and their system will probably be more secure than most others out there.

I wish you the best Gentlemen.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: December 11, 2017, 02:24:49 PM
I've been reading this thread eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new L3+... I must say I'm still completely enthused but he idea of getting into this now... completely OK with a 5 month ROI and think that the future of LTC is bright...

The December deployment was apparently shipped early.
Can anyone confirm that they have received theirs and that they are good to go? (even with all units being special silicon snowflakes of course, it's good to hear good feedback, still)/

Thanks.
UPS shows a delivery coming here today the 11th Dec. Not holding my breath. UPS is stacked up pretty bad do to Holiday coming. You will love the L3+. It may not be quite as bombproof as the S9's but it's close. They are little workhorses that require very little care and feeding. It's a very good miner. Enjoy!
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: December 11, 2017, 02:19:32 PM
I've received my first D3 few minutes ago. When I shake it sounds like something is loose. I read that the common problem is the heat sink but i donsn't sound like metal/aluminium it sounds more like plastic. Will void warranty if open the miner and see that is loose?
The Hashing boards will rattle a small amount, sometimes the cover over the control board does this as well. If it's just the control board cover, it shouldn't be a problem. The sound from the hash boards is fairly subtle and also not a problem. You can remove the face plate on one side but if you remove any screws with the seal tape over them your warranty is void. I would run it and see if it is hashing cleanly first. Also, I recommend down clocking it to 500 Freq or below. 537 is redline and you'll likely have many HW errors. Possible board crashes. If you plan on running it for a long time I wouldn't run at 537. These things don't seem to be built near as sturdy and robust as the L3+ and way worse than the 9.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitConnect - Is there any chance for BitConnect to fail? on: December 11, 2017, 02:13:09 PM
Bitconnect is 100% Scam. These lowlife, filthy maggots need to be hung. ALL their claims are lies. I bet you that soon they will close down and take off with all the people's BTC.
Then they'd be liable in court. They'll just "get hacked" at some point.
Good point.....NiceHacked I assume. Gee I wonder why they just went to POS??? Much easier to hide your nefarious bullshit under POS (SCAM). POS = Way to use other people's money to fund your SCAM.

I didn't keep your coins in Nicehash. Every Friday I receive payments to my external wallet. This week I have had problems with my rigs so I lost a little money. It seems to me that if everyone did that the loss would be minimal. Therefore, the share of the blame lies on everyone who lost their money. I believe that the team nicehash will restore its security and service will start working again.
Yeah, from prison.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: December 10, 2017, 07:20:34 PM
any luck new algo from bitmain ?

i am running 5 D3 antminer from bitmain correct this time (thank you to people who message me instruction on how to set up) but now how to get the COIN? this is my question . after mining how to get my coin from the miner ??  Huh

this whole thing is killing me . i feel like im having hard attack sometimes. FUCK btimain.. someone help if they are proffesional in this ? please? any ADMIN ? and the D3 cannot mine bitcoin or any thing only DASH? if this is true dfuq why would bitmain even sell this ?!?!? WTF..

every more news i read is making this worst and worst and i and belief i pay 5 btc for this things and 1 btc for help to installation them and i still see no coin from any of this. i have 5 coupon from bit main but this has to be a JOKE Cheesy $125 coupon for 1 BITCOIN LOSS?Huh?? OMFG i will never buy a single ant miner again so what is point of this coupon ? to sit here and expire? thank you bitmain !!
Oh boy. These are the times that try men's souls are they not? A few thoughts;

1) Did you use the wrong power cord?

2) Have you plugged in the unit?

3) Are you sure you "intake fan" is " taking in " and your "exhaust fan" is "exhausting"?

4) Did you try pushing the reset button after taking 3 very deep breaths and holding the last one during the reset?

Lastly...Have you looked in your wallet??? My machines mine directly to my wallet!! No kidding! Look in your wallet. I bet there are coins in there. Does it feel heavy???

Good Luck!!

People here are so mean with newbies. Without an influx of newcomers any community eventually dies, we need to welcome newbies instead of bullying them. So please stop it and tell him already that he needs to open the miner once a month to get the coins out.
You're right....but don't do it for 90 days or it will void the warranty. Grin

so do u think L3+ is not worth it anymore !!  is there is anyway on earth or any pool can increase the profit

This depends on many things. Your electricity cost, your goals in "mining", I suggest you read as much as you can, watch YouTube, do a ton of research, start small and see how it goes. No one in here can tell you.

Not unless they can run it from jail.....LMAO!!
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: December 09, 2017, 03:04:07 PM
God damn it LTC. Couldn't you just wait until I bought some? I'm seriously devestated. I was waiting for it to go back to 60s to buy some good amount and then this happens!!! Angry Embarrassed Cry
Take a look at " dollar cost averaging ". Basically buy small increments of your overall intended position size at different times and prices. Eg; buy 1/3 of what you want to hold initially and then scale limit buy orders in at various prices lower and or purchase on buy stops above the market if you like the "momentum" trade". I personally don't like buying rallies but I do it under certain circumstances. Like BTC and LTC. Huge momentum.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash hacked? on: December 09, 2017, 12:19:56 AM
Did an official explanation come from Nicehash? Or is there still no explanation? I guess our money flew again. This is very depressing. I hate to wait.
There's a link to their live stream explanation on page 2 I believe. It's worth a look. Just a couple of young punks in waaaay over their heads. I'm sure they are in major violation of various regulations. If they don't make this good, I suspect they'll be sharing a prison cell.

Anyone can share the correct url of granatgas pool for d3? I saw a time ago it was like this:
-stratum-eu.granatgas-pool.info:2525#xnsub
But for example in the forum is changing the number to 1111? And now in granatgras is only like this:
-stratum-eu.granatgas-pool.info
So witch one is correct?

I've been using this one:

stratum+tcp://stratum-us.granatgas-pool.info:1111

This is a failover for me. Is this pool dead for good? It's been showing dead in my miner status for days.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: December 08, 2017, 05:39:16 PM
It was crap that pulled a lot of hash away from litecoin and other good coins.  That meant we got more of them.  Personally, I'd rather have .17 of $125 than .13 of $125, but because the BCCers have come flooding back on everything else, our pie slices of good coins are getting smaller.

That said, even though yesterday while people were dumping alts to get in late to the BTC rally (while I was dumping BTC to get cheap alts) I was telling myself that LTC and others would rebound after BTC leveled off, I was still wowed to watch the 50% LTC jump this morning (obviously that run abated some too, but still! fun to watch).
LTC probably has much room to run. One of the most underrated protocols on the board right now.
