Good Call but would the group buy promoters agreed? why would they not? Instead of packing and shipping way too late chips to angry clients, they would return BTC to them instead. Groupbuyer makes the same amount of money. Avalon only returned payments for orders they never delivered on time in false premises. If / when they get stock, groupbuyers are approached again. And we as clients get on board should we want to. At hopefully a new price. |

Regarding sueing BitSyncom... i dont think its a good idea. It would be simply useless. When the judge made his decision all is lost already anyway because of the time. So i think a letter form a lawyer might move something but sueing would probably do more harm than good.
That said... yifu announced some news and some members in our groupbuy ask befriended lawyers about the situation.
I believe it could be hard to do legal actions since im not sure one could create something out of "9-10 week lead time". One could say thats a guess only and not a hard timeframe. Anyway... sueing would be useless probably. Of course, if all is lost i would try it to regain the investment. But till now i hope he delivers. And maybe gives something for the time loss...
Ehm.. Hard? They can just return the BTC to the groupbuyers (and then in turn, we get the money back minus the 10% the arrangers (as yourself) charge). From what i hear most of these batches has not been cashed in by them anyway and just sitting in their wallets? They write so much that they hate to do B2C because of screaming private persons.. Then, if they move to B2B, they should be able to handle that move and deliver on TIME 9-10wks.. Best they can do, return all group buys past 4 weeks delivery time. Announce a NEW in price stock at 30% of previous price. Lets see what they announce tomorrow. I doubt it will be even close to my suggestion. |

Why do you guys not consider to take legal action against BitSyncom/Yifu/Avalon? Is it so absurd? In the German thread of sebastianJu's groupbuy there's just a discussion on this topic. We must react against these people, that think they can do what they want while their pockets are full with our money.
good idea! its an american company, class action lawsuit. Anyone sued BFL!? So far I am against suing Avalon, not much changed in market if we think about other competitors, and don't forget that doing business is always a risk so man up and take some responsibility. Did I mention that Avalon delivered more than BFL did which is laying to their customers for more than a year? And for those interested I am waiting for Avalon chips and this delayed chips delivery doesn't make me happy at all. Man up? Should we man up for being past 5 weeks delay? who's side are you on? the side that are possibly not seeing any ROI, or the side that has our money for months, and millions of that? |

Might be better to all try to get Yufi to deliver the ships  I agree there.. Also, burnin never said that you need to prepay before your chips arrive. When you pay your order, your chips will be mounted, in place of order and when your chips arrive. |

Right.. So how come our emails were answered within hours when taking orders. And now it takes ages for updates.. I think he should update at least once a week on this page, and the same with emails. But that's maybe just me. With 6.5 groupbuys he must have thousand, at least hundreds of clients interested in a status update at this point in time. (even if the status update is; there is no status update.) You can be as busy as you like. A Post update still takes less than 60 seconds.
Thanks for raising this point. I did not know he was not answering emails. That is troubling indeed if true. Perhaps a simple "I'm still here. Waiting on the Avalon chips to arrive. We are ready to go when they do get here. Nothing more to report." update would help quell some unrest. Me, after what I went through with Butterfly Labs... this waiting game is a pleasant walk in the park relatively speaking. Got answer just now: "We have not heard anything from Avalon as of yet. As soon as we know, we will post an update." So.. nothing.  Can't be fun, arranging purchases of total 60K chips, and get that treatment. |

For each device previously purchased, he is offering to sell us 1 for 0.1 BTC (to which arklan is adding a 0.075 fee). So this group buy is for the people who have already purchased one before and qualify for this special pricing. If you would like to buy miners, you can, but you'll have to pay the normal price of 0.6 BTC and buy them from someone selling them (another group buy, or someplace like btcguild.com, etc). This group buy is only for previous customers taking advantage of the special pricing. Yes i saw description from CanaryInTheMine now, stating it to be a 1:1 offer only to previous purchases.. Smart, as it could be your only way towards making these profitable. I still see them to be a $20-30 value each. But when they will sell for that, they wont have that value any longer. |

I imagine dude is stressing pretty hard at the Avalon chip shipments being late, and there being absolutely nothing he can do about it. Here's tossing some Xanax Steamboat's way to chill him out until we hear something from the Avalon folk. It's a horrible waiting game for all of us; especially for those like Steamboat and Burnside who have their fine reputations being stressed by Avalon's silence and delays. Difficulty follows price, not the other way round. How do you mean here really? Price only increases if demand is higher than supply. (And supply will be a lot bigger than demand, independent on difficulty as people want to get their investments back.. ) |
