It's true, it doesn't make sense for a successful and reputable platform to cheat its customers just for a one-time reward that will put its reputation at risk which might cause it to lose the trust and eventually go out of business which is a bigger loss than what they could get by cheating because as you said, if they are earning 1 million dollars a year or even before a year, risking that much revenue for a few hundred thousand dollars doesn't sound like a good deal. Smaller and less popular platforms might try doing something like that because maybe they are not earning a lot of revenue and they are always looking to get more money by hook or crook, they also wouldn't care much because they don't have a very large user base and don't have much to lose. I’m not telling that casino is really rigged but there’s a chance that some of them is really doing since most of the user thinking the same logic as yours which auto gives them defense on whatever accusation that throws to them because there’s always a person that will defend them and use this reasoning. Yes if this will continue to long term but I doubt people will keep using high transaction in long term because they will surely use an alternative to limit transaction until the fee back to normal. There might be some adjustments in the future if this continue like hard fork or something to deal with the ordinal shit. I was thinking like this before until my beloved grandma died without me giving her the support I should give because I’m still saving back then for my future. I become more balance now but mainly focus on my current needs compared to my future. I put 50% of my money on insurance and crypto investments while the rest is I use on my daily need to live a better life. Future is useless if you will die tomorrow so I believe that I should just invest without sacrificing my present life because that what matters the most. I’m always a victim of low transaction fee suggested by the wallet itself but I never encounter a wallet suggested fee that is insanely high. Most of the time it just lower to the average fee probably because it’s late to update the fee when average fee hike.
Maybe this is a fat finger mistake or overlooked the conversion of fee unit. I sometimes mistakenly think that the fee is just in sat and not in sat/vB.
