Well if I had any amounts of savings I would definitely invest it to bitcoin because I you will save it or deposit it to banks you can only earn small profit while in bitcoin you might earn big in a month or a year because of its volatile value.

I do think that the other coins move faster because the other coins are so low cap, meaning that there is a lower amount of money circling in their market and because of that it is more prone to manipulation that makes the price move faster and that is what they called shitcoin which is the type of coin that moves faster and more likely to pump and dump.

I had my loss when I forgot my private key when I would like to import my private key. It wasn't a big amount but that time when I was really new to Bitcoin was something really unfortunate and I wouldn't want to do that again. At least know, I become a disciplined person.

I can not argue that bitcoin has failed as a currency. Sometimes bitcoin is more likely to be seen as an asset. But bitcoin is also done for transactions and this is the same as currency. So I can not assume that bitcoin fails as currency.
