Imo Etc will not hold onces all the eth holders start dumping.
But I argue why do they need to dump? There is no good in dumping ETC especially if you're an ETH holder. It is more profitable if you support both. Even the miners think so. Some of them are mining both the original and the forked chains right now. Why dump etc? - You invented eth, and don't want a clone around. - The 'hacked' coins can be dumped anytime. - For 'mainstream' adoption, two chains is confusing. We have between 17 and 33% of ETH hashrate. There will be two chains until ETH dies. Its no longer about price. Ethereum are crooks and will soon be under investigation. |

been watching the shit in polo trollbox. I'm pretty sick of quality of Moral from the ETH supporters and those who love FUD. They all seem to be spoiled assholes. You guys know, I'm lambo all the time, No FUD. I only like the first half of Pump and Dump. When I see lots of FUD happen, I get mad as hell. I was planning on buying more lisk but have now decided to purchased 40 BTC worth of ETC at 320k. I think ETC has too many haters for whatever damn reason so I will be helping out the ETC cause because there is nothing better than Freedom from the controlling elites. Yes I think Vitalik and his henchmen are all crooks and should be investigated. Never bought ETH because of the control they had which leads to exactly this, Hands in the cookie jar because they are greedy fucks. I like ETC, wish I could have bought earlier. Now is better than never or when it hits 0.01 I'm not giving these 12.2k ETC back any time soon. You might be seeing me here more often  1000 pages anyone? MyEtherWallet.com supports etc. generate a new wallet but be sure you select etc each time you send. How long ago did you talk to shapeshift. They have a working spitter now. |

Hello people, need a little help
I have a very small amount of ETH/ETC (that I got from a faucet on february) that I wish to convert to BTC via shapeshift.
Because my limited internet plan I can only use an online wallet (ethereumwallet.com, myetherwallet.com), seems there will not be problems with ETH, but what about ETC?
To be safe I emailed shapeshift, and they replied:
"If you send from Myetherwallet.com your exchange will not complete and we'll have to refund the ETH/ETC to you. I recommend sending the funds to another ETH wallet that does not send out using a smart contract."
So, the disclaimer in Myetherwallet.com (that using shapeshift "may lead to delays") is untrue?

If one guy has 10% of ETC supply, then he can dump 500k ETC each month to stop the price from going anywhere for a year
I don't think there's much hope of exchanges stopping the hackers either. They can simply distribute it OTC for -5% or -10% below market rate to avoid the exchanges
Until ethf fails which will be soon I'm not so confident that ethf failure = etc win If ethf fails, then maybe people switch away from ethereum to a completely new platform. Keep the faith people! The truth will provail. The higher it goes the faster it will crash. ETH is still low. I sold my ETH position just before the dao hack at around 24mbtc. If the fork had worked for them they should have been back to 24mbtc already
After the fork i thaught etc would find a level at 3mbtc and it peeked to almost 5mbtc. It may not happen today people but we will see a switch in circumstance once the truth gets out. I may buy a little more ETC yet.

What's Berry Silbert saying lately? Did he increase his position? He is on Slack, I didn't see his comments about increasing his position, but he did say he wasn't selling his position in ETC until it was equal to ETH. He is also putting feelers out for those who have business ideas, projects etc that have a plan but are seeking funding. So all very positive stuff. ETC is an exciting place to be right now. As i understand, on the release of Casper, people will be able to use mixers and send/receive coins anonymously via whisper, that's when hacked funds will be on the move. |

I agree POC should be considered in the mix for the long term fix. I think the first steps are to disable the diff bomb and set a timeline for where we go forward. POW by itself does not scale and is why BTC is slower than molassis in January. That is where we will need to leverage multiple methods in a hybrid if we want to scale. I think if we wait until we have a problem it may be too late to address. POC on low powered small devices is pretty cool isn't it? It looks like the dev team want to fork to fix both the bomb and the algo combo in one fell swoop. i just wish some law enforcement would have a look at it.

I did not realise that it was not reported. Although, kinda difficult to do anything unless you know their territory. GCHQBude would have had online history of everything for the last 3days. What if it were done from sat-link internet, in a cabin cruiser, in international waters? I would have reported it to the Swiss authorities though. |

@tylerderden good work @MalReynolds spend the time to get it right, don't rush it.  But to change the subject for a bit: Burst are doing well. up 30% today. They use a PoC algo. Proof of Capacity! You mine with hard drives. It uses loads less power. If could integrate something like that with ethereum Classic.... Again... it would open the network to more people. You can mine Burst with a phone if you have a good size memory card. Think of Africa and all those smart phones BE MINDFUL You know sometimes you can get tied up with money and politics and not only lose sight of the tech, but the tech can pass you by while you are preoccupied. Why waste time with the things you cannot change, when there are thing you can be involved in that can bring about change. We have a world Computer. Top Dev is a Russian coder, we have devs in Japan, a large mining infrastructure in China, and nodes, miners and supporters all over the world. People are working around the clock. So..... can we put aside the money and politics for a short while now please and move forward. If Alex holds the keys, then he gets to choose what he does with the TOKENS. Actually I just talked to him on reddit, he admits he was the dude, but claims he acted alone and VB knew nothing. Par for the course, same approach I figured they would have when confronted about the 51% attack attempt.
