501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to trust at least someone on: March 09, 2019, 11:59:11 AM
By the way, it is just because people find it hard to face reality that death can come knocking at any time forgetting the fact that death is no respecter of man except the grace of God and once we see it this way, we will be able to know the time to put some things in place, the moment you start walking down the path of success is the moment you start writing your own WILL.
Somehow this got me convinced. It's not like I didn't know that but to realise how flimsy, frail life can be... not that easy.
Guess the safest option is to make an escrow of ones mother. Who else deserves to be more trusted than moms?
Sounds a little a funny though but if own mother betrays, there is no point of being on this planet any more.
Looks like there is some teaching to be done ahead of me :0)

503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the house always win???? on: March 08, 2019, 10:03:12 PM
It's always the player who is paying for all the fun, regardless of win to loose ratio because one man's win, is another man's loss.
House have to be at a advantage, it was designed that way. Casino without an edge has no actual point.
This business is based on investments, if a casino has no shareholders and runs for it's own sake, almost all money lost by players have to reinvested, put in to games or machines created to lure people in. Of course the owner has a stomach, he needs to eat too, so reinvestments get gradually smaller and smaller, as appetite grows during the dinner. Same applies to house with investors. Business is business, house always have to balance out and end with profits.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - A Game of Luck or Strategy on: March 08, 2019, 12:20:16 PM
Gambling is a game of luck and I don't see anything strategies in it.
-snip-
I tend to agree with such statement.
There is no strategies when it comes to chance based games. Notion of strategy existence in gambling, can give us false understanding and unrealistic sense of security. Gambling technique or systems can be considered true but not tactics nor strategy is adequate here. Most of the time it all comes to "try and error" - pure luck, adding extra ideology to it is potentially dangerous and can bring unnecessary losses.
505  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $9,000 by the end of the year on: March 08, 2019, 10:48:15 AM
This isn't just wishful thinking, there are a lot of great signs in the market that point the way for Bitcoin to hit $9,000 by the end of the year:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIX2O6C6bWs&feature=youtu.be
This is exactly how wishful thinking looks like Smiley Take a factor and blow it out of proportions... a voila.
But seriously such massive spike would cause another drop, roller-coaster once again. Isn't it better for the market to stay stable, like right now? Don't get me wrong, it would be great to see some nice but gradual progress. Spikes are not all that great, maybe only speculators can appreciate those.
506  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel wants to extort 300,000,000,000 dollars from Poland on: March 08, 2019, 08:54:44 AM
I have a feeling this is being pushed in retaliation for this:
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/germany-should-pay-poland-1-trillion-reparations-world-war-ii-government-a7929561.html
Also Poland is not submitting to being overrun with hoards of barbarians pushed by the EU, so they have even more reason to sandbag Poland.
Well those claims where there much, much earlier. Many nations like Hungary, France, Switzerland have had already paid a lot of money for their ww2 offences. Poland however was the only nation, that never collaborated with Nazi Germany, Poles just don't feel like they owe something to Jewish international community and most of Poles are also against claims of reparations from Germans. We know that they have no such money, that it will harm ordinary citizens and brake our relationships.

-snip-
I hope Turks and Arabs will destroy their country.  They deserve it.
Harsh words... no need to offend an entire nation my friend.
I really do hope your expectations won't come in to existence because, I'm not sure if Poland on it's own, can save Europe one more time.

508  Other / Politics & Society / Israel wants to extort 300,000,000,000 dollars from Poland on: March 07, 2019, 02:51:17 PM
For a few decades Poland has been pressed by Israel, and recently even by USA, to pay compensation for heirless properties that in accordance with Polish inheritance law, were rightfully taken over by the Polish state.
Poland keeps refusing paying any compensation but the demands made by Jewish organisations only keep on growing, so clearly Poland needs to do something about it but fulfilling the demands would mean for Poland to be be literally colonised.

Heirless properties vs properties with heirs

For clarity, any heirs have legal paths to claim compensations from Poland and many of them did that. The issue is about compensation for heirless properties. The amount demanded by the state of Israel is about $300 billions.
It is a multiplicity of Poland's budget.

Jews in Poland - a historical note.

Jews have been living in Poland for at lest 750[1] years. They assimilated rather well with the society, mostly spoke Polish language and were good citizens. Jews in Poland have been enjoying full liberties as other Polish citizens did. Because Poland was their homeland Polish citizenship was the only citizenship they had. They were Polish citizens. In the census from 1931[2], out of 30m of Polish population around 3m were Jews. Poland had the highest number of Jews living in any country in the world, clearly, there must have been a reason why Jews chose to live in Poland in such great numbers. Jews were free to move to other countries but for some reason they chose to stay in Poland. The reason was obvious Jews knew that no other country would offer them greater freedom and privileges than Poland. So they did not move anywhere[3].
During WW2, 6 millions of Poles died, of which 3 millions were of Jewish origin, that means overwhelming majority of Jews living in Poland died. Because most of Jews left no heirs, by law, properties they owned was taken over by Polish State. Such move was in accordance with Polish inheritance law that is no different that inheritance law in many other countries deriving its inheritance law from Roman Law. In the end, these Jews that where killed in German death camps, were mostly Polish citizens. They lived in Poland, they spoke Polish language, to lesser or greater extent were assimilated with Polish communities. Because the scale of the Holocaust was so vast, the number of empty, ownerless properties was also big. In Warsaw case, German bombing flatten[4] out the whole districts, so properties needed to be rebuild from the ground up.

Nuremberg Trials and German compensations

Today, 70 years after the war, Nuremberg Trials are not part of common knowledge. In today's dollars, Germans have paid 14,500,000,000 dollars[5] to Israel for the Holocaust.

Compensation claims

From Israeli point of view Poles of Jewish origin that died in Holocaust weren't Poles. There were Jews, so the compensation is a must. For that to happen, Israel demands from Poland to break it's own inheritance law and create precedence or some sort of tribal inheritance law. From Polish point of view, there is no issue at all, because inheritance law makes the case crystal clear. If there are living heirs they have opened legal paths through Polish courts to claim compensation.
Organisation like World Jewish Congress or State of Israel, that in no way are representing Poles of Jewish origin that died in Holocaust, by Polish law have no right to demand any compensation whatsoever. By any objective legal measure, Poland hold the moral high-ground and does not need to worry about anything, however Israel is a superpower, both militarily and in media.

World Jewish Congress

In 1996, a chairman of World Jewish Congress[6], Israel Singer[7], said:
More than three million Jews died in Poland, and the Polish people are not going to be the heirs of the Polish Jews. We are never going to allow this. (...) They're gonna hear from us until Poland freezes over again." If Poland did not satisfy Jewish claims it would be "publicly attacked and humiliated"[8]

US Senate bills S447 and H.R.1226

Last December American Jewish faction entered the game of compensation for heirless property by passing two bills that aim at putting even more pressure on Poland to change it's own inheritance law. That is bill S.447[9] and H.R.1226[10] that are a complete legal(or rather illegal) dud[11][12]

In your posts please, stay away from anything related to Holocaust. I am bringing this up so that you don't have to. That chapter has been closed in Nuremberg a few decades ago. I am seeking a serious answer, political answer, on how Poland could play the ball, maintain moral high-ground, free itself from being bullied by Israel and USA and most importantly, avoid being taken over by Israel. What is the best political move that Poland can make to cease these compensation demands, made by no-heirs or by institutions that in no way represent Poles of Jewish origin that died of German national-socialists hands?

And all types of strategies simply destroy fun.
I'm not even sure if we should call any gambling behaviour a strategy.
There is actually no strategic thinking when it comes to pure chance based activities. As you said, it ruins the fun and more to that, this can give us false mechanics understanding and fake sense of security. Gambling approach, technique, style, system but not tactics nor strategy is adequate here. Just semantics one may say but actual impact on losses or gains is possible, just due to proper nomenclature usage. Most of the time it all comes to "try and error" procedure anyway, adding extra ideology to gambling is potentially dangerous and can bring unnecessary losses. Just play and have a blast in the process, forget the cold calculations.
510  Economy / Reputation / Re: Community input on: March 06, 2019, 06:34:54 PM
But it looks like a difficult if not to say tricky question.
Tricky indeed, ambivalently greyish zone.
Now, my question is does this escrow gains profits from this activity? I would say that this is the key question here.
If he does this non-profit, then we are dealing with truly grey area here, at least no newbie will get robbed but... is it fair? Nope.
That's why he, the escrow should take in to consideration the possibility of being red tagged. Because any one who finds his activity offensive, unfair or simply fraudulent will be fully entitled to have such opinion and the red tag will be honest and true.
Simple question of morality, if he goes red, it will be on his own wish and he shouldn't have any pretences.

Case is more obvious to me, while he makes money of this process.

Also, I would say that the example you have provided us with, is a little bit a miss. LN is not a conscious being, it has no voice nor choice. It just have to do what it was created to do. People however do have a choice, even more to that, we always have it.

Quite a lot of those lately, almost nobody cares about the no pyramid rule any more. Glad to see that you're not one of them.

Ridicule of pyramid makers only or maybe there are mods who monitor your topic and take action?

I think it is also quite good method for utilizing tokens or forked coins that have no real purpose.
We know that there was at least few coins forked of bitcoin, some of them were recognised on the market but some were not.
This way, most of us are in possession of useless coins, why not have some fun with them? Key reason is still fun tough.

But you're free to go camping  Tongue
That's of course all true, we are free but... but this philosophy discourse is getting heavily off topic and should not be continued here.
You can make a thread and invite me to it, if you like of course.

Quote
In a world where unity plays a key role and the countries with the strongest economy rule the world, it makes zero sense to smash your own nations in a thousand worthless pieces.

Judging by your knowledge of demography and details of this area, I presume you are a Spaniard.
Fate of the country is of course of great importance to you but let's restrain ourselves from exaggerating.
Nobody is claiming that chopping Spain in to 1000 pieces is a good thing.
Pro tip: did you know that Germany is not a country?  It's a federation of 16 small republics? Go figure Smiley
516  Economy / Economics / Re: Spain- Catalonia - Plans on creating a cryptocurrency with an inherent taxation on: March 04, 2019, 04:17:08 PM
The image is actually a derogatory counter-replica on some football playing field. Catalans are often called “Polish” (Polacos) when one wants to refer to then as a collective in a derogatory tone, being the origin not clear.
Something tells me that there is a part of the (hi)story we are missing here but hush-hush, let them churches write their own tale.
Besides it's funny that in this day and age, people still use names of other nations to offend each other... to be honest I would treat such comparison as a compliment but whatever.

The fact that the idea is only vouched by 50% of the population of Catalonia
You have any source for this info? Was there a referendum or is it something taken from television's sounding?
I'm seriously interested, not a sarcastic question although with sarcastic opinion about public polls made by modern media.

Society is a living organism, it can and will change, evolve on it's own,
... and die if the brain is too stupid to prevent the organism from falling down a cliff.
But who and how is to decide that any particular move is the leap of fate?
You? I'm sure I can't and so, I will never allow myself to tell people how they suppose to live out their lives.
Anyway it's not like such decisions have the power to eradicate an entire population. So it's an invalid point.
517  Economy / Economics / Re: Spain- Catalonia - Plans on creating a cryptocurrency with an inherent taxation on: March 04, 2019, 01:11:29 PM
This picture always gets me... If natives want to separate than there is nothing that could change their mind.
IMO further obstructions from central government, will only drive the conflict on to dangerous territory.
I wish those people all the best, maybe it will be the blockchain that sets them free?

The Pudgedemon idea of a "digital republic" is an utopia. It's pointless.
If enough people expresses the will to create this "digital republic", as you adequately putted then why would anyone be against?
Society is a living organism, it can and will change, evolve on it's own, technology plays a vital role as usual in those changes.
Utopia or not, Godspeed Catalonia.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I won't give up on: March 04, 2019, 12:08:59 PM
I'm trying not to give up and look for the altcoins worth investing
I've just invested in EOS https://cmc.io/coins/eos and I still hope things will be better  Wink
Good luck, hope you will regain any previous loses, remember that it is in general better to diversify the investment.
Maybe try to look for something cheaper as well, just in case.
On the other hand, persistence may easily turn in to compulsive investments and those, just like in gambling are usually harmful.
One needs to know when to stop eventually. It dosn't mean giving up, it's being reasonable.
519  Economy / Economics / Re: the future real money on: March 04, 2019, 10:22:21 AM
Almost all payments now are digital.Fiat money are digital money
if you see a lot of altcoins than first have in your mind that there are pure scams what wants to steal your money. You can lose your money with them. Most of them are kind of virtual trash worth nothing
That's true, future is now and it's not necessarily a good thing.
Since the '60 along with introduction of computers in to banking system, all so called real transaction went digital.
Now we are facing 98% digital fiats. Double the falseness and quadruple the trouble. There is no future for paper money... it was already replaced by digits, long long time ago. I'm deliberately avoiding to call them real, because they are not.
Only coins made of precious metals will survive upcoming or rather current fin-tech revolution.
520  Economy / Economics / Re: What the true believers know but don't express well on: March 03, 2019, 02:37:35 PM
true what you say, and true believers will never run away or stop forever when the price of bitcoin is destroyed. the problem is that bitcoin will never lose its value while there is still internet network in the world, so don't ever worry about the price of bitcoin if it doesn't grow again because in a long time it will come back again
Never say never... So many various things can happen and make bitcoin suffer even bigger crash.
Natural disasters like asteroids, automatically comes to mind, scary but possible. Obviously in such horrible scenario, cryptocurrency is the last thing we will be worried about.
So far, so good reality is what we are currently in, being a believer may be insufficient at some point. Appropriate action will be necessary, personal adoption to the maximum extent. By this I mean complete and uncompromised rejection of fiat systems.
Throwing fiducial money in to garbage can, to be frank. Extreme measure for the extreme times.
Let us hope such hard choice will never face us but also we should be aware of that beliefs are not solid enough to sustain this revolution. IMO this is something that we believers know but cant express to well because it scares us.
