Hi,

I am keen to join but need to wait 48 hours for coinbase to whitelist the address! I just did this now, so hopefully I will still have time to join before the first game round if I send roughly this time on friday?

Sure. You can sign up to superbru and put your scores in now if you want and once you've paid and joined the pool the scores will carry over.

51 people signed up now. Two more have promised to pay, but let's try to get it to 55 users so we can have some more payout places.

I don't think anyone is in the pool yet, and my guess he's planning to send all the invites out at once, everyone just to make their picks on superbru, the predictions will be carried over into the pool.
Thanks for the clarification. I panicked a bit since we have only a few days left and assumed everyone was already in the pool.  Grin

I usually send the link when someone paid but I missed a couple as messages get buried fast. If anyone has paid and doesn't have a link just PM me. As long as your predictions are in they will carry over once you join the pool even after it's started.

50 people have now paid.

Should I be able to sign a message from the sending address or can I send the payment directly from an exchange?

Any address is fine.

Hi there.

I'd also like to join the pool.  Smiley   I'm going to make the payment for the entry fee within next week. It is my first time being here so I hope that we have a wonderful competition.  Grin

Cool. Just PM once you've paid.

Would love to sign up! If any1 can sponsor me would be awesome! I'll try to get to pay it though!*Saved*
We're actually doing away with these little "random sponsorships" but if you want to join, there's still some time and we'd love to have ya!

As much as I appreciate people paying for extra slots I'm starting to think we should just consider the extra payments as donations to the pot to beef out the lower places because we've already had two blatant alts trying to claim both places and it's hard to choose who should get them.

I don't think I'm going to probit them outright as I do appreciate people adding to the pot and it's not like it's something I could police anyway as people can just organise it behind the scenes, but I don't think people should be paying for existing users or players that have already played/paid before. Don't pay for random newbie accounts either. I'm not sure how you could do it fairly or avoid paying for alt accounts though as offering things like this will always bring out the greedy or cheap. If you want to pay for a friend or someone you like fair enough, but lets just keep in mind the growth of the pool as paying for previous users is just going to stall it rather than grow it.

47 people have signed up now. Let's get to 50 and we can start adding more prize places (11th place onwards).

Users who still need to pay:

A week left to go now. Still at 45 people so lets get to 50 at least.

As i said before im going to compete only i have a big delay for the payment. Untill the deadline.

Ok.

Here's a list of people who have said they will pay so we can keep track:

darxiaomi
tokeweed

If there's anyone else just let me know. There's 10 days until the league starts but I'll give people a couple of weeks for late payment. If you sign up to superbru now or anytime before it starts you can put in your scores and they will carry over to our pool once you join it.

It's very sad to read that members are using alt-accounts to try to take advantage of the generosity of other members... Those guys are not ashamed?
Anyway the number of participants seems to be still growing, so personally I think few "consolation prizes" would be more than welcome.

Some people are just cheap/greedy. I will probably add another place or two if we get 50 users and then 55. We're still at 45 right now so should be able to hit 50 and maybe even 55 before the league starts.

45 users now (or people have paid for 45 places at least).

^^
Good to hear this @hilariousandco that we are near to that 50 player mark in the pool.

I could pay for 2 more new members to only for this pool who has not joined in yet.

Post your requests and I will send the entry fee and post the tx id to you via pm well before the deadline for these payments.

Because now is crunch time with only 12 more days left until the first match starts!

can i get it?

It's for new pool players only. Trying to get people who haven't played before.

I thought I can get it because I haven't paid yet

It says for new members. Paying for people who have already played previous years isn't going to grow the pool. As much as I appreciate people paying for extra slots I'm starting to think we should just consider the extra payments as donations to the pot to beef out the lower places because we've already had two blatant alts trying to claim both places and it's hard to choose who should get them.

Nice one. You should consider only paying for new users or ones that haven't said they will pay already so we can max out users. This will likely be the payouts as it stands at 40 players but I'd like to beef out the lower places a bit:

0.1
0.05
0.04
0.03
0.02
0.015
0.014
0.013
0.012
0.011

= 0.305

Or maybe we could add another one or two consolation prizes for 11th and 12th or something where you just win your money back since this will likely be the biggest pool participation we've had so far.

We now have 40 users signed up and a pot of 0.3. Lets aim for at least another ten to get it to 50 people. I will probably set the prizes based on 50 users as I think we should get that as a handful of people have said they will pay.

Is there a list somewhere of the users who have joined the pool? And a list saying who has already paid and who is yet to do it?

No. I will compile one today. If people can let me know if they plan to join that would be great.

We need just two more people for 0.3+ in the pot now. I know there's a handful of people that said they would pay so we should have much more than that by the start of the season but please pay ASAP if you can so I can sort the prize places out as. We're still about ten people away from 50 users though as well and I'd really like to get 50 players at least so we've grown the pool every year so so far.
537  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Sportsbet.io's Premier League Prediction Sign-up. 0.0025 to join 0.2+ in prizes on: July 22, 2022, 01:12:54 PM
5 more people for 0.3 in the pot now. Just over two weeks until the start so please get the fee in ASAP so I can work out the prizes in advance.

More points for exact score = more skill involved. I see a lot of you claim that it becomes all about luck but I'd argue it's the exact opposite.

If the table is close you can sort of "abuse" the fact that close results/results give by just doing 1-0, 0-1, 0-0 down the stretch of any season = boring.

I never tried BBC's predictor but 1/4 sounds fantastic!

Yeah, I don't buy the luck excuse. It's all luck and educated guesses at the end of the day. BBC one doesn't exist any more. We used it for the very first predictor but they closed it down after the season finished. This was the final table:

I just remembered I think Skybet's SuperSix is also 40 points for the correct score and 10 for the correct outcome. That would probably be the best system for me. I agree that maybe 5 is a bit too much but there really should be a premium for an exact score. Maybe Superbru should offer the chance to change the scoring on the premium version. Anyway, we've probably exhausted the discussion and I wouldn't change from Superbru unless there was a site that was as good anyway.

I messaged sixmj on the 16th asking if there was any good reason why he merited the earlier post and got no response.

It would be really strange if you got an answer, at least any meaningful one. The only reason why he gave merit to that post is to make that member Jr. Member, and besides, he probably thinks that no one will find out because the post is buried deep in the middle of some megathread from 2018. They want to cheat the system, but luckily they didn't even understand how it works.

Well I finally got a response after I left him feedback haha:

Dude you're a psycho, trust me You're truly sick for real.
I feel really bad for you i mean tracking who is sending merits and for what on the internet, u must have no life outside your house funny how gets so angry if u dont get a reply from strangers to fill your ego and u feel the need to revenge, just amazing is this your life ? u must be an ugly nerd or a very high chance a disabled person. aren't you?  Plz whatever u do Do not kill yourself there is always God brother.

What is the reason you just merited this post:

I figured he might at least own up to selling merit rather than hacking accounts. I wonder if his account is actually hacked? It's an account from early 2018 but has long periods of inactivity. He mentions he's based in the UK in an earlier post but the messages he's sent me are in broken English, or at least it seems English isn't his first language.
