521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For the record, the last time we had a presidential debate, the price of bitcoin on: October 02, 2020, 09:08:21 PM
It is very funny when the presidential debate has to be related to the price of Bitcoin. The political elite wants the price of Bitcoin to fall below $ 1k so that they can buy bitcoin at a very cheap and affordable price so that they can get more profit. Creating a FUD like this is their side job.
Though, there's no relationship but it's good to know how the price of Bitcoin was in the past and now at present. Knowing fully well that, holding Bitcoin for just 4 four years can give a good and reasonable multiplication for investment. Holding Bitcoin will be the greatest anyone in the industry can do for themselves as this tend to bring more gains on a long-term basis. Though, I can't see the possibility of Bitcoin falling down to it minimal price compared to it early stage, so, those hoping for it down in price might wait forever.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Elon Musk fake giveaway. on: October 02, 2020, 08:47:05 PM
it just a normal day on twitter, man  Grin Grin Grin
I wonder if it still works. it must be still working, because they still did it, in the same way Grin Grin Grin
I also get an email periodically about the stellar foundation giveaway.
I saw that youtube ads still promoting fake ETH giveaway as well.
Basically, those who still fall for these types of scam aren't those who are contented with their stash(portfolios) in cryptocurrency but those who are greedy IMO. I also received some of these messages but pay deaf ears to them because of their fakeness in nature. They(the scammers) always come out with the same methodology in this regard. Most of these giveaway from the social medias aren't legit giveaway as thousands has been victims of defraud. Elon Musk won't do any giveaway anytime from.now as the world is currently experiencing pandemic.
523  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of this new scam method. on: October 01, 2020, 09:43:10 PM
I dont know what are you thinking when you give youre 12 word phrase. I cant think that there are still people who fall on this kinds of scamming. I hope your experience will be a lesson for some.
Greediness can make anyone think sideways like this, but the happiness is that, he's not a victim. Victims of this scam are those who are attacked to greed. The ways telegram set it decentralized system still the best but scammers have taken their tore against sincere users so, let be vigilant in this regard and don't be greedy. I do had some scammers around my telegram handle but never give them the attention needed from me because they're cunning in nature.
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 01, 2020, 08:23:55 PM
I am more on the reputation than the license, why? because reputation means casinos are operating profitably as there's a lot of gamblers who trusted them. I just think that even if we are playing in a license casino and then we got scammed for let's say an amount of $1,000, how far we go to go after the casino?  Me, I just for move on and accept the loses, besides I don't gamble what I can't afford to lose.
More also like me, the licensed casinos had showed to us that; not all licensed gambling casinos that should be trusted. Series of accusations has been raised in the forum without any coregent reasons. The importance of a reputable and trusted gambling casino is; gamblers have used the platform and find sincerity and trustworthiness. Personally, I won't go for gambling platform because it's licensed but without reputation.

526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling sites should be careful of bringing eSports in on: October 01, 2020, 07:35:38 PM
Parenting is really hard. A growing person wants to try all things so it is not a surprise if he will venture in gambling at some point of his life. But as he grows older, he will realize things on his own. A parent can only give so much and the rest will be on his own accord. All of us have our own realizations in life, and those will not be influenced by our parents. It is our experience that taught us about life.
The modern world has grown beyond what reality is, children's now get used to the technology than we the parents. My child has the ability to use any of my device even though she's new to such device. So, such a child needs serious monitoring while online not to go off the riff. Guiding the children mostly when online should be well encourage among parents not to have or raise gamblers addict. Never allow the child surf the internet without parents guide.

529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: September 27, 2020, 08:47:36 PM
Betting $10 on multiple games and having a game with good opportunity, I will rather bet such game higher. The new season has taught me some lessons, going with few games is far better than multiple games with lower bet. Though some of my friends do bet multiple games and sometimes make profit but not as when pick few games with good opportunity to win. So, I will embrace few games with big amount than the former.

531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 26, 2020, 11:03:31 PM
What's Conor McGregor bringing forth to fight Manny Pacquiao? Conor gats nothing worth fighting for with him ''no heavyweight belt''. The fight between both two will not be possible.
The only fight Manny Pacquiao will embrace without much stress is to have another opportunity to fight with Mayweather again
Checked out their social medias but couldn't find what can really convince one for this fight. The possibility of this fight to hold is very low, I hope to see pacquiao giving in for another  strong fight between himself and Mayweather, though this fight could be a multi dollar fight if the two agree with proof. If this will ever going to happen McGregor will have to get into more harder training than what we have seen in him.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 26, 2020, 10:33:27 PM
Your friend is not cursed, don't think of it like that. He just getting addicted to gambling maybe because he won once or twice then he had consecutive losses. By that, it keeps him to continue to gamble having his hopes that he will win again or at least get his losses back. That is the common mindset of most gamblers, addiction leads them to that situation.
It never changes the mindset of most gamblers.

It's addictive and when someone can't get off his hands, that's what likely to happen. We get the desire to take back our losses if we have lost that much.

But when we realize, it's better to have that lower amount of loss than to add more of it because of our desire to recover.
Wherein gamblers were not able to realize or they realize it after they lose more than they have. We tend to continue gambling to at least win some of our losses but we never realize that the more we continue playing, the more we get addicted and the more money we lose.
Nothing can demoralized a gambler than gambling while losing to the gambling casino and still want to chase their losses. Personally, whenever I gambled and nothing good happened while I gamble I tend to quit the gambling because such a day wasn't meant for my winning. Gamblers with the symptoms of gamble to recover loses; should pay close attention for addiction or seek for assistance for help in this regard.
533  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin exchange detected a large withdrawal. Provably Hacked? on: September 26, 2020, 09:06:32 AM
That's sad. Hopefully, the hack doesn't do a lot of damage to the exchange. Seriously speaking about some of these exchange hacks especially those coming directly from the exchange hot wallets, there is noway someone can bypass all the security measures unless if it's an insider job and someone got access to the private keys.
My concerns too, I think the hot wallet was to be kept safe, especially with big cryptocurrency exchanges like KuCoin. Series of these hacks from hot wallet aren't a joke of any sort but should be see as a threat to crypto exchanges, having such responsibility to keep a private key that belong to exchange demand high-level of security IMO. Lu should have know better than this, although victims funds will be refunded as nothing will happen to their savings(according to their CEO). Hope this help other crypto exchanges to sit tight in terms of exchange security.

This type of hacks always have huge negative impacts to the community.

Good news for the community:

The best move ever, kudos  Cheesy

Antimalware are good but very possible malware can still get through, there are newly produced malware of different types every time, what if the antimalware company have not yet produce antimalware against certain recent malware? People need also to be updating their antimalware everytime new update is out, but that does not mean some malware maybe not get through. Safe browsing should be the first to come to mind, if you can avoid this malware, your computer will not be infected. Getting the antimalware is good but having it in mind that it is possible for the malware not to be 100% effective will be good, we have to be very careful while online.
There are good anti-malware companies that stay upto-date with their patches and this will help in bad times, also, most of them has proven overtime that security depend on the user too. However, the ways individual surf the internet also matters becasue; nothing online is practically secure, even using VPN isn't secure either because they are not like 'comprehensive antivirus software'. But the use of VPN alongside this comprehensive antivirus software will definitely guarantee maximum security while do IoT.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 25, 2020, 01:35:05 PM
But regarding traditional slots or skill games, I just believe that every game will always be good if it is accompanied by skill.
Opposite from what I believe to about slots, dice or any mini games in casino. I don't believe that these games required any skills at all to win, what you need is just a luck and good bet timing. In slots, there's nothing much that you do but to just press the button and see where it lands. In dice you just need to choose between roll over or roll below. If guessing right in consecutives is a skill then they might be. Anyways, all games are made for entertainment, so enjoy  Cheesy
Almost every casino games falls into this category so there is no point of believing we could win the bets no matter how much experience we got with these games in the past. When someone wants to play luck and skill based combo game then they should go for poker where you could win just with your skills but its not going to be easy anyway f the amount is larger.
I have be on the side of skill games as the best games in this century becasue, they are purely base on your ability in your skills. Don't gamble and expect fairness even when the gambling platform said so, we heard about this several times and nothing be done rather just blacklist from the forum. Most of these skill games are still my favorite, especially poker game. Poker is that game i played with 100% assurance of getting back my winnings if the opponent can't match my pick.

But anyway, it's crypto where you're fully in control of your money. Users should take some part in protecting their money and not expect others people to do it for them.

This should be the beauty of it. Being in control of your money is the best anyone can get from the world of finance, not just having the control 'but' enduring the protection of your privacy while online. Frankly, users of mobile and desktop devices should awake to this call of be protected always to avoid hack of any such.

Here are some good Antivirus Software that can be of help.

source

Install a good security antivirus software on your device for protection( this doesn't cost more than $70) . This has been the best way to keep our device safe from the hands of these hackers, if your device is protected then your money will be safe in your device. Thousands of crypto holders never care to install good security apps in their device and when hack cry fowls.
537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}: New "Alien" malware targets banking and crypto apps on: September 24, 2020, 12:16:02 PM
They will keep launching attacks but it's important we all have our doggedness in exposing their acts. Basically, this attack has called for more stringent actions from cryptocurrency holders, make it a work that must be done: 'always make your password changes regularly'(updating passwords).

This also called for individual alertness, the responsibility of keep safe in this industry solely depends on individuals, so, act smartly. There are enough warnings and guides around the forum that will be of help to noons in this regard.
538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start with cryptocurrencies? on: September 24, 2020, 09:09:29 AM
Don't be carried away with the hypes in the market and choose to invest all your savings into cryptocurrency. The danger is: you may lose your investment(when you invest on altcoins without product backed), if not Bitcoin. Whenever you chose to invest on Bitcoin, ensure to hold your portfolio on a long-term.

Though trade has it bad and good side, it should be learn before venture into as it require skills. You can also consider good projects with established products for staking coins, though, this is much as trade as market volatility depends on their end results.

540  Other / Off-topic / Re: Centralized or decentralized internet? on: September 23, 2020, 08:30:36 PM
Our respective government had tried in this regard but greed in human doesn't bring forth the positive result from the look of things(though not taking side with the government). Scammers  are smart guys around the internet that could take any available opportunity to exploit others with or without their knowledge(in advance form).

Government efforts are not felt because of the numbers of potential victims caught in the web of the scammers. Though, either centralized or decentralized internet, greediness will always bring close those who won't be inline with the government actions against such. In my dear country, the government has taken upon themselves to educate her citizens against ponzi schemes around the region, the last was forsage ponzi scheme among others, but still yet citizens with their greed are still victims. Conclusively, let educate ourselves because that's far better than one from the government.
