Man are you still standing your bet proposal, 1BTC? what bet? Sry, I ment this: I like what toknormal said awhile back, and have been turning it over in my mind. The summarized version is:
Monero is essentially maxed-out. Their sole value proposition is that you can buy illegal shit with their coin, and by being accepted on all the major darknet markets, they've essentially achieved their growth objectives. I honestly congratulate them--2600% growth in the last year is truly stunning--but there isn't much further they can go.
The good news is that Dash has not aligned itself with any single use case. People can use our product for a staggering array of reasons: privacy, instant transactions, a solid governance model, a two-tier incentivized network, a treasury system that is funding continuous development...
So congrats to the Monero team on the result of all their hard work. Now I'll watch them hang out in the $200 million market cap range while we continue to climb.
Care to make an escrowed bet (Ognasty/Blazed could be options as an escrow) that by the end of year Monero will have outperformed Dash from now (Feb 17th, 2017) until Dec 31st 2017? XMR = 0.01257 BTC DASH = 0.01909 BTC Bet amount = 1 BITCOIN We can have the proceeds of the bet sent to a charity of our choice once the wager is done. If you win, my part of the wager goes to the charity of your choice. If I win, your part of the wager goes back to the charity of my choice. In either case the winner keeps their original bet amount. Let me know. Smoothie, whwere are you? Doesn't that bet entail Dash has to be ahead of Monero at the end of 2017? seems like we are calling the game short considering we are in February. Or does that bet mean Monero has to always outperform dash throughout the whole year? Which if that is the case....kind of a stupid bet for him to make. @AzzAz I'm right here. That bet is now 8 days old. If anyone wants to use the current price of Monero 0.0098BTC and Dash = 0.02399BTC as the starting price for the bet I'll take it. Had someone made the bet on the 17th I would have taken it. But I'm still game... You can't take the bet after the fact using the price I posted 7-8 days ago. The bet entails that monero will outperform dash %wise measured in BTC from TODAY (Feb 24th until Dec 31st 2017). The bet means that you take the delta of the price from today until Dec31st 2017 (forum time) and if XMR % is > DASH % difference from its starting value measured in BTC, I win, if not, I lose. If anyone wants to take the bet (as described above in my original post from 7 days ago, but with the new values of today's prices), let me know in this thread and PM me so we can arrange escrow to hold the BTC until Dec 31st. Who is going to step up and take the bet? You have 24 hours to take it otherwise I will either choose not to do the bet or use the current prices at the time of the bet being made that I post here.

Out of curiosity, how much were the coins funded with?
It is possible that the thief redeemed the XMR that the coins were funded with and threw the coins in the trash (this would result in less evidence to lead back to the thief).
Miffman was provided the digital certificates that prove the coins were funded. If indeed they were redeemed, their key images would be spent and searchable on the XMR blockchain. As far as finding a trail back to the thief, I would imagine that would be a difficult task to accomplish given how opaque monero is. This is the first known theft of any of my coins that were shipped out, so perhaps I am wrong. I just checked the key image of each coin, and they're all unspent. I'm not sure whether the thief even knows how to redeem the coins, since the instruction paper was left in the envelope. Thanks for letting us know. I'm of the same mindset wondering if the thief knows how to redeem them or not.

Probably a new top in the next two months....consolidate for 6-7 months and make another ATH.
|
|
|
Now we have this five column omnibus Top 20 days for Bitcoin data barrage we can play Jackpot ... whenever we get 5 reds ATH across the top What do you have in mind, some kind of pool? Everyone picks a date and scoops the pool if their date is a new ATH? I believe he meant it would be like a slot machine with all new ATH's at the top of each list. You could do betting date picks where closest date wins a prize when all top numbers in the list are RED.

I received a mail from Coinbase today, Hello,
Thank you for your interest in Coinbase. Our primary goal is to make digital currency safe and secure for our customers. Coinbase is a regulated Money Services Business under FinCEN (FinCEN.gov), and as part of achieving this goal, we are legally obligated to implement regulatory compliance mechanisms.
Upon careful review, we believe your account has engaged in prohibited use in violation of our Terms of Service and we regret to inform you that we can no longer provide you with access to our service. We respectfully request that you follow the on-screen instructions presented when you log into your Coinbase account to send any remaining balance offsite to an external address.
Should you have any questions or need assistance, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.
Respectfully,
Coinbase Customer Support prohibited use in violation of our Terms of Service - WTF I do not have any funds in my coinbase account now, 13DHU877EnKy8uvCg2NSWNcSPhdCuMuLLz, but still closing the account without citing any valid reason is not professional. I have read about many complaints regarding coinbase on this forum as well as reddit, guess most of them were true. Whether there is money in your account in not the point. The point is that they scrutinise your account's activities and track the transactions. Once found any input or output is related to any services which are frown by Coinbase, which will close your account immediately. But you are lucky, there is no fund there. If they ever start allowing users to purchase Monero (XMR) that will be hard to do.

Dash should be one of the most perfected scam in the space, I have looked into the project several time but I can't see any sound technology behind it to make the project stand out but one thing I will give the team branding and marketing. Everything about the perfected scam was revealed to me on this Tony vays show Cryto scam. The Monero guy did justice to the project Not that I care but you seem to like to listen to lies. It was debunked and Tone even admitted that they didn't do their research properly. It was just a hit piece. You formed your opinion so I don't want to even try to help you. Nothing in the Tone/Fluffy podcast was "debunked." It was a factual discussion of Dash's scamming, not a "hit piece." Funny how quickly you change your mind about Tone when he stops drinking the Evan's Gate cult Kool-Aid. 'member this? Great! Tone is a really cool guy.Their attitude towards others is based solely upon if you drink the Kool-Aid or not. A healthy community exists where people can agree to disagree without getting offended and not being butthurt and even maturely respecting the other party for their differing points of view, no matter how ridiculous their views are. Dash does not appear to have this. A simple example of this is that myself and iCEBREAKER are not at each other's throats despite the fact that we probably do disagree on a number of things. iCEBREAKER and I in the past had a beef but I think we both grew up and realized that our bickering was childish and didn't really matter. I have no personal beef with dash supporters. What I do have a beef with is when the DASH supporters attempt to cover up the truth about the notable history of Xcoin/DARKCOIN/DASH and any controversial items and put a spin on all of it saying "it's okay because Evan did it..."...etc .....etc.....etc... Cult of personality reigns supreme in the Dash community.

Bleep, the Monero premium is only 17 million currently... I mean seriously, I wonder what's wrong - don't you be worried about this? Especially knowing that it is quite hard to dump Dark coin because it doesn't like to go down much. I am still holding Moneros but the situation of Dark coin gaining market cap and Monero staying stable is something I guess people should be worried when it comes to the network effect. I do not care so much about my holdings that stays the same pretty much but I am more worried about the lack of marketing which might take us in the bad situation of losing the little network effect Monero has. Who wants to buy an asset that is not rising in the price? I know there are some but I am afraid that group is minority. Why are you so worried about the price going down? The market is healthy if you look at the volume traded on XMR. Markets gonna market, speculators gonna ...you know. Looking at a single value to be concerned with (market cap) is like trying to forecast the weather while looking at an ant hill.

Yeah DASH going up while HoneyPony seems stagnant is frustrating to be sure... especially for me as I did used to own some Dash (not near as much XMR though) and I dumped it a while back trying to consolidate things. Oh well. However let's remember here: which major end-user visible crypto exchange company is very likely to be just about to add Monero as their third coin (cough coinbase? cough) and most likely they're NOT adding Dash any time soon...? Have you guys really thought thru *exactly* what that kind of visibility and IMPACT is really going to mean, when it happens? Remember it's only the THIRD coin that they're adding... after BTC, ETH and then... XMR!!! I know I know, don't count chickens till they hatch etc etc but just saying... if/when stuff like that's gonna happen to XMR these little competitive squabbles over a little DarkCoin pumpin' & dumpin' will be just amusing to look back on in this thread Technical quality and infrastructure MATTERS!!! Stay the course... Does anyone remember when Coinbase added ETH? I don't follow their site much.

Nothing more disheartening than watching this scamcoin go up up up, while Monero gets punished by the huge supply available for shorting.
Your logic fails there imo. Possible shorting just enables a more stable price shortterm. However longterm this doesn't have an effect at all on the price. Dash will probably have more bigger moves up and down on their road but in the end the coin which has more real demand will win. Probably even both will stay there for a long time. I like Monero way better because of their ideological standpoint and i think Dash might be OK from a technological / investment standpoint but let's see how the people decide in the end. Market is free and everyone can speak with his money. I don't like this "manipulation" accusation all the time. If a coin is really bad it will die in the end. Noone forces us to buy. This is not like forcing us to use the USD to pay taxes... Yes no one forces you to buy. Just like no one forced people to invest their money with Bernie Madeoff right? Oh wait... That logic doesn't work when it comes to scams. Scammers will and can con people into buying into their scams/HYIP/etc.

Proof?
Or do you just make baseless claims with no facts to back them up?
That makes me laugh - Thanks smootie! Saying the troll accounts are just owned by 12 People is more realistic than if you say evan owns hundreds of masternodes. Its more realistic, because you can see it, there is almost no trolling, and then whoops all that trolls come back in here at the same time ... either way that is organised (trolls being paid for it) or many of them belong to the same person - who is probably in deep shit with his short But hey saying something like, its only 12 people is an absolute baseless claim, but that evan owns hundreds if not thousands of masterndes, thats for sure a fact Thats how we think in here, right? Your attempt to deflect by bringing up other discussions is a norm tactic of supporters of dash. Ask a question and the response is either silence, deflection, or name calling Try being more original with your responses/tactics.

Come on, man, don't kick them while they're down! Although you are absolutely right... Hey Tao the gloves are off now! hehe You're totally right. They came to our house and started this BS. A few counter-punches are to be expected. There is no "our" house or "our/your" thread. Theymos runs the show, it is his, not yours or ours. Let's get that straight.

The Chinese are losing their ability to move the market with their BS the more they do it.
The western exchanges are leading the market now in terms of direction.
Who cares what "China that cried wolf a thousand times" says?

I have come to a realization about Dash people....you're low information, low IQ people. You being you is punishment enough.
Furthermore once the altcoins graduate to the next level and big money starts evaluating them, they'll immediately disqualify the digital trash. It doesnt offer anything special. It does everything....poorly. What is its use case?
Didn't you know that xCoin/Darkcoin/DASH enriches Evan mostly? It does serve that purpose.

Is that not the same user that went around the XMR threads and reddit asking for donations then to throw it back in people's faces who donated to him?

Although smoothie is in general a likeable contributor and not one I’d bracket with the more toxic variety, all the same his posts do serve as a great indicator of Dash bullishness. (In fact the same goes for the rest of them assuming they aren't all the same person ) I need to get this statistic added to Bitcoinwisdom ASAP ! Lol my post from sept 2016 then I guess caused a spike in price ...then the price fell for months? Seems like your indicator is broken. Or you know what's coming after this spike....a fall? Seems you care more about the price than I do given all the effort you put into creating that infographic. Nice work! Let's wait and see

1 more day with 4 digits and the 3 digit days are history. Literally history being made...yes. Now when will the top 20 prices get rid of all four-digit prices? You seem to be getting way ahead of yourself.. it could take a bit of time to go from 3 4 digits to 5 digits... Right now, all of the top 20 are crammed in a pretty narrow range (mostly within about 4% of each other (except for the outliers)). "Getting ahead of one's self" is all based on the person speaking. I would say it is "Looking to the future".
