521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever introduced an elder gambler to online betting? on: February 10, 2024, 03:51:28 PM
I was thinking about my past experience with my grandmother when I was still starting in crypto industry and was getting familiar with gambling yet. Since I knew she was a gambling enthusiast (loved slot machines), I tried introducing her to virtual betting, telling it was an accessible and easy method to gamble from home with comfort and easiness.

So I opened a slots website on the laptop and told her to click the touchpad over the roll button, indicated by the arrow on the screen, to start betting. She did it for a while and had some fun when winnings were hit. In the end, I asked her what she thought about the experience and if she would replace the habit of going to physical casino by the virtual one, but she replied that it was too complicated for her to play online, and that she likes the contact with a physical environment where there are physical machines and other people to talk, so she could leave the boredom of staying alone at home to see traffic and flux of people outside the doors.

As you can see, it wasn't only about gambling, but also about interacting with other people inside a real gambling environment, besides the technological experience not being so rewardable when compared to playing at solid, palpable physical machines.

And you, have you ever successfully introduced an elder person to virtual gambling?

I have never introduced an elder person to  online gambling. First, even though for a young person it looks like the easiest thing in the world,  it can be really challenging for someone after a certain age. If you have questions in real-life casino about anything, you'll be helped by the stuff immediately. But online it can hard for an elder person just finding the Support button. And while all of that can be finally explained, nothing can replace socializing with people around for people who fancy it.
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: February 10, 2024, 02:50:33 PM
~

It didn't stop at all, only when I see that the influencers sometimes use their tricks to attract more audiences, the more audience, the more community the more they like them, I don't blame them, then trusting the streamers has to be something already one as a person and as a player I decided to believe in them, I personally don't, because they are people who, as you say, in the era of NFTs they didn't care about their reputation, so what does it mean? that many of them are capable of doing any type of advertising just to earn some money, and ethics? where is? There is not, so these types of things are what we should see Better , I in particular will always see things from the point of view that if someone tries to earn money whatever, but giving false Information for me that is not okay , I Throw it away and I don't want to do any kind of thing, so that's the first thing I see.

For me, the only Influencers I could Trust are those who are famous, Drake for example, he doesn't need to scam people, maybe there are 1 or 2 influencers who do things well , so we can't generalize that all influencers are like that and that they only Pull for him next to them, no, we must be aware of that and know what it is about things in casinos , bonuses , and what an Influencer can make us See, that's it.

Sometimes there are casinos that hire small influencers so that their business goes to that of the casino, that is an investment that can be given, I personally have always thought that it is a way for the casinos to get more people, but it is something that is always done, as casinos I would do the most normal thing, first concentrate on my own marketing, if it is to look for influencers, they would have to be like they do on stake.com, look only for the most famous, because they are the ones who They manage a large community and that is all we should care about.

I personally don't find it unethical if some of those guys stream their slot playing. If someone thinks he can copy their moves and win about the same amount, it's his right to think so. If you ask me about the probability of that happening, it's almost zero, and people should be well aware of that.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: February 10, 2024, 01:38:27 PM
~
You suggest something good here which I agree that one of the things that can make you avoid the name of addiction is to be a responsible gambler because with this then obviously you will be able to accept any risk at the end of the session especially defeat, Because as we know that people who eventually enter the addiction phase are those who start from gamblers who are too hopeful about winning so that when they lose they find it difficult to accept this fact which ultimately makes them act out of control because of the emotions due to the defeat, and over time if they do not change their point of view and understanding then obviously they will enter the addiction phase unconsciously and will only feel a lot of negative impacts in their lives such as in terms of financial ruin.

However, this is a probability activity that only provides possibilities, or meaning that you may lose or win, all results will not be known unless you have completed the game and the possibility of risk is always unavoidable in gambling because risk is something that is very attached to the name of gambling, so this alone should make you understand that being a responsible gambler is really recommended, all this is for your own safety and security.

I'll tell you from my own experience, with small bets you can accept any risk. People often wonder, why to bet with a win chance less than 1%? It's because the bet amount is $0.50, that's why. If you lose it, it's nothing, it's nothing, but if you win, it's a decent win, 50 bucks. Your irresponsible gambling starts when you start making big bets, even when your chance of winning is higher than 50%.

Let people be. For sure they are aware of how their health could be damaged by gambling environment in landbased casinos in particular with vices. There are also casinos wherein cigarettes as prohibited which leaves the argument open for options. Casinos are long existing and things won't change within one just because you are being conscious with your health while having the desire of gambling.

We're all free to engage on whatever platform it is whether it is landbased or online, crypto-based or fiat based. We do have preferences and that simply means we may choose a platform that will suit our preferences to make ourselves comfortable playing.

Crypto-based or fiat based isn't that important. Bitcoin is money, and the difference between BTC and USD is like between USD and British Pound. I mean, both are money and you can exchange them with one another. But if we to compare online casino to a land-based one, the difference is obvious. And health benefits of online gambling are not the only benefits online gambling has.

Congrats for this prize as this is profitable recovery for you from freebitco.in hopefully you will be able to won big prizes as well here even in last few years I never won anything which I can say it's good for me but still using this site and doing many things which are helpful for me with having my holding is also good because I can also use this when I want.

Now as things going most chances we will keep this price or if we have some positive movement then we can touch $45K to $50K because most of the things currently going good for the crypto and bitcoin which will keep things at this current price.

I think it is very likely that we end up in the range close to $50k. And what's interesting is that many bettors on freebitco.in think the same:

To me it's not even that interesting to bet with 2.97 odds. So my bet went to this range, $50,001 - $55,000:

And traditionally a small bet on "More than $1,000,000". Smiley

Haha, what a hit.
I had to google Maidstone and saw they are a "non- league" team, basically I think a 6th league team while Ipswich is playing in the 2nd league.
So those odds seem quite accurate.
But hey, if you want to make money you have to take risks. Too bad it was a very calculated risk with a small wager, imagine betting 1mbtc and getting a cool 1200$ out of this bet.

Anyway, nice win! I wouldn't have the balls to bet on such high odds.  Grin

Thank you! The beauty of small bets is you simply can't be afraid of losing them. And although you never win that much in case of being right, miraculously, win when the probability is so small, it's very satisfying. Yes I too first time saw the name Maidstone in my life, and even playing at home they should most likely lose to Ipswich, but miracles happen. Smiley
527  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: February 07, 2024, 11:12:15 AM
Yesterday I spotted Undead Fortune by Hacksaw Gaming among the slots with Lowest Live RTP,

and I thought, "14.94%? It can't be!" I know this provider, Hacksaw Gaming, and I love many of their slots. Among my favourites are Immortal Desire, Wanted Dead or a Wild ,  Chaos Crew, Rotten, RIP City, and what I like about them is that apart from amazing themes and animation and sound, they never make me feel ripped off after 20 minutes of playing. I always win something like a consolation prize at least, something like this

But of course there are bigger prizes too. Yesterday I won couple of them:

and it's from just 10 cents bet!

Today I logged into my bitcasino.io account and noticed that there were no LIVE RTP section. I hope it's a temporary thing, because it was so much fun. I think it'll be back soon. Smiley
528  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: February 07, 2024, 09:43:58 AM
This time, no matter how hard I tried, I didn't manage to get that 100x. I think it was several hundreds tries in total. There were multiple 10x like this one

but druring more than 30 minutes of playing, 100x didn't appear even once.
Looking at your image, why you did not follow the pattern as given in the example?
Even if you hit 100x but if you did not follow the pattern, you will not eligible for the reward.

Thanks for noticing! Now I see that even if I hit 100x I would not be eligible for the reward. Now I think it's good I didn't hit it, because if I submitted my entry and was disqualified, I'd be upset. Smiley

You are so active participating in the forum challenges every week, do you participate in the Stake vs Eddie and the Level Up challenge too?
The previous Stake vs Eddie challenge is nice, the reward is $86 and I have completed the Level Up challenge to (waiting for reward).
I have done the current on going Stake vs Eddie Challenge as well, so now time for the new level up challenge but I'll wait the reward from the previous challenge first.

No, I haven't participated in any of those for some reason. Maybe because Stake has so many forum challenges that I don't have time to participate in all of them. Also, the ones I'm participating in provide me with enough fun for a week, I guess. Like in the latest challenge I managed to make it to the top 20:

and another nice prize

was awaiting for me on Stake. Smiley

Its a good site for a gambler if he doesn't always imagine himself in terms of winning. Because a common complaint among gamblers is that they lose. Gamblers who can embrace the humanity of losing can manage to gamble successfully in the long run. A gambler who takes losing easily can never blame gambling. They rather try to find their faults there. Gambling involves winning and losing. Most of the time the losses will outnumber the wins. I think that simply accepting this defeat will reduce such type of blaming attitude.

What "faults" are you talking about? It looks like you think that if faults were identified, the number of losses would be reduced subsequently. But, in fact, no matter how much you analyze your play, you can't improve anything in purely luck-based games. Accepting defeat is a good attitude and it can improve your mood overall, but it will not make you win more.
530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: February 06, 2024, 12:17:59 PM
Some of the mistake was repeated by the gamblers even after the loss in the gambling. The foremost one is the greedy, the gamblers mostly the new gambler get into the greedy after some decent profit in the gambling site.

Over Confidence:
This was the common one to the new and experienced gamblers, because the continuous winning mostly give the greedy and over confidence to the gamblers. The gamblers will go for the high betting after the continuous winning in the betting. The positive wipe was occurred with the over confidence, most of the gamblers go for the high betting after the over confidence.

The draw back of the over confidence is most of the gamblers will make loss their holding dollars in few bets.So the gamblers should avoid the over confidence after the continuous winning.
~

Yep, overconfidence isn't  something that will help you to win, so it's better to avoid it. It's worth noting that some people become overconfident even after the continuous losing, not only winning. For some reason they believe that the more bets are lost the higher the probability of winning the next bet. Who among gamblers weren't thinking like that at some point? Smiley But it's wrong, obviously.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: February 06, 2024, 11:00:13 AM

We cannot compare the loosing rate to that of the winning rate because they are far from each other, in gambling, we often loose than we win, when we look back to how we have started and considers the rate to loosing and winning, weay feels getting more discouraged about gambling knowing that the two are incomparable to each other, we often loose more than we make win while gambling, we should know this to get our minds settled for which ever things eventually happened on us.

Look, all gamblers combined are losing more than wining. There's no doubt about that. 4.2 billion are gambling at least once a year. It's a big number, and when we deal with such big numbers we know there can be outliers. In fact, thousands of people can be among those outliers. They can winning more than losing. Thousands of people, think of it.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: February 06, 2024, 10:23:54 AM

even if you have more losses than wins you could still end up being profitable with good bankroll management
here's a good article that explains that
https://tradethatswing.com/win-rate-risk-reward-and-finding-the-profitable-balance/

many of those who win millions in lottery end up spending the full prize so developing a good mindset is a must when dealing with money too

Good bankroll management is a good thing, but it's dangerous to apply it to gambling, especially to purely luck-based games. No strategy works for those games, and if it were otherwise, all casinos would go bankrupt, and we wouldn't be discussing the madness of gambling addicts here. And I'd say, it's the madness to think that "Casinos would go bankrupt if people were better at math." What people? It would be enough just one person to clean out all the casinos in the world, if it were possible. But it's not possible, and it's important for a gambler to understand that.

You just have to show what your balance on Roobet looks like. Recently I won $30 in a similar giveaway, and I managed to make it $50+ on slots, but then I lost everything on the same slots. What can I say? It happens. I only hope this won't happen to you, my friends. Maybe you'll make $1,000 out that gift. It's free money anyway. Wink

I don't think any casino would accept such offer as they cannot offer an 100% RTP which over the long run they will be even and I am sure they make more money than 1 million dollar in a year. That is why the house edge is in place to offer like 4-5% to the casino so in a year overall this 4-5% is a sure thing that is more than 1 million dollars and that is why casinos stick to this business plan,it makes money to them and they do not care about such sponsorships.

Well, some of them are making more than $1 million per year, and others are making less. To make $1 million you have to have the turnover of about $20 million per year, do you think it's easy? But those are just numbers. If you know a casino with $200 turnover, it means the house edge gives them $40 million. And over the last years Coca-Cola has spent an average of four billion dollars a year on advertising worldwide. Against this background  $40 million looks like nothing.

Sure, unlike many other countries around the world, the power of the government in the United States is not centralized in the figure of the President, here is common for the president to do whatever he wants, specially because he has gotten the support of the congress and the rest of the branches of the government, but that is not necessarily what is going to happen if Trump wins, he could still have much opposition in the Senate  and house of representatives.
Perhaps, you are right and the help for Ukraine won't completely stop, but I am sure there will be Republican and even lobbies paid by the Kremlin itself to try to reduce the amount of the aid sent to your country. Hopefully I am wrong, though.

I have got the impression the United States, same as many other countries around the world, is not the kind of democracy which tries to implement what the people wants, but what the donators and the established billionaires want. It takes a look at the relationships between the members of the Supreme court of the United States and some rich people who try to use their gifts and money to influence on the decisions of the court.

Anyways, let us see if Biden can beat Trump once more and continue to support your Republic another ,four years...

No, you are not wrong. Unfortunately, a lot of officials in the West are paid by the Kremlin. If not for them, Russia would be defeated by Summer 2022. But most people in the Western governments are not that corrupt, and that's I'm sure if Trump will be elected the help for Ukraine won't stop. It's because Russia can't buy most of the U.S. officials.

Meanwhile Trump is getting more and more support fro the bettors:

Now I'd even say it's not that interesting to bet him, to be honest.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: February 05, 2024, 11:28:54 AM
I'll tell you what, if you lose all the allocated money during your first gambling experience, it wouldn't be so bad. It's when you win all of a sudden. that's what may cause problems. Most likely our brain will tell us , that it wasn't a happy accident, that we did something "right", like started playing i the right time or have chosen the right game etc. And in the future we might try to repeat those "right" moves and succeed again. That's a very dangerous way of thinking every gambler should avoid.
537  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay discrimination on: February 05, 2024, 11:02:48 AM
I do think there should be a pay correction but more than that, there should be a drastic pay raise for everyone, the current minimum wage isn't a good amount of money already to survive daily so I believe that a big raise in salary in all collars of job is a must and not to mention that this debate is just a thing that will divide the workers so they don't see that it's the big businesses that's the problem
Before anyone can say that it's impossible to do a raise, a lot of companies have already done that and they've gotten more profit because they've got a happier employees that are willing to work for them.

That will surely cause inflation, and then even the big salaries those companies you mentioned are already paying to their employees wouldn't be enough to survive. If someone thinks he's not paid enough for his work, he should be looking for another place, where he will be appreciated. And everyone is not paying enough, then maybe the profession isn't exactly in high demand and you you should switch to another one.
538  Economy / Economics / Re: Price Regulatory Mechanisms: The Solution to the Economic Hardship in Countries on: February 05, 2024, 10:37:34 AM
~

This is true the government can only do so much about price regulations remember that producers and sellers are also citizens of the country and they also need to make profit

They also need support from the government they could only lower the price of their goods if they have given the appropriate amount of money into it otherwise they are gonna be having some loss which will result in product or goods not being produced so no the government can not control prices forever

Maybe they can for a short period of time and then find a solution that would both satisfy the producers and the consumers

Exactly. And no one knows better what price must be set for this or that product but the market itself. Governments shouldn't intervene, or, if they must, they should do it as little as possible. It may look like Wild West at first, but it will settle down with time, and the government will be left with dealing with various scammers, not with the vendors who's price is "too high".

A person who gets addicted to gambling will only get out of it if they are willing to do that because you can't force someone to stop doing a certain thing as long as they are not ready to do that themselves. When it comes to gambling addicts, they barely acknowledge the fact that they are addicted, they will always be in denial and say that they do gamble but they aren't addicted to it even if you can see that they are spending all their time and money on it.

A professional, a friend, or a family member can only help an addicted gambler get out of their addiction if the gambler says it themselves that they are addicted and they feel like they should stop gambling as it's eating up all their time and money and it is causing issues for their life.

I agree with you. If someone addicted to the point that he/she is spending all money on it but at the same time thinks he's a responsible gambler, it's extremely hard to help such a person. Gambling addicts think that there are ups and downs in their gambling career, and when they lose everything it's just one of those times, but surely they will recover in the nearest future. That's the main mistake of gambling addicts.
