Spondoolies

Can you provide some more information on the hosting arrangements for the SP30 group buy, still sat on the email asking if I want it shipped or hosted, was going to email you but figured some other people might be in the same position so a public answer would be better.

It says 6 month minimum, how is this going to be charged. All 6 months in advance, 1 month in advance, 1 month in arrears.

Will we have remote access to the miners, my current SP10's are hosted with you and the biggest drawback is not having access (though support is very quick)

TIA

Same here, and I've had no luck sourcing the part I need Sad

Will you be able to get the new Gridseed A1's ?
Is it this one:

Gridseed A1,price is 880USD/unit,without PSU,5.2-6M Scry Hash/S,power:80-100W,input voltage:12V,G.W.:2kg,

..
I am not reseller of Gridseed, the price may not be competitve. You can compare and make your decision.

Nope it's a new one coming out shortly (June 20), based on the A1 chips with 5 blades instead of 4, running at 1.1TH

or

Seems to be going for around $1500 which is a decent price, happy to pay a bit extra if you can get hold of them.

I think squall1066 might know a thing or two about fixing this:

My local electronics shop managed to fix one of my two broken blades as it only required the connector soldering back on.

Sadly the last broken blade is toast, the connector is completely missing (it's not even loose in the case or the box)

Hello my friend, I've missed you. Is it too boring at one of AM threads ?

None of those companies can match the price point of SP30 with current gen and Q3 planned hardware.

It has already been done.

2880gh for 4btc.

Don't forget 4x PSU's to run them, and 1.2w/GH is going backwards, machines need to be getting more effecient not less.

So if I understand this story correctly, you weren't witholding blocks deliberately you had faulty hardware.

BTCGuild (eleuthria) informed you of this after he noticed what was happening and your hardware was then fixed to work properly

The btc that eligius is witholding is from the period before btcguild when your hardware was faulty.

If this is the case I think he's correct, your hardware would never have solved a block and therefore isn't eligble for pooled rewards.

I have solved my issue at the beginning of the May, then we move to eligius for test, After we see block found by them, we move back to BTCguild.
You can see my block which was mined after May 1st on their list.
Is it clear?

So you are saying that you only mined on eligius AFTER the hardware was fixed, and you were finding blocks and should be paid.

Eligius are saying that you mined with faulty hardware, weren't finding blocks, and therefore shouldn't be paid.

More detailed information would be needed to decide who is right, namely the dates, hashrate, shares and blocks found. GigaVPS has posted some numbers which seem to show that things aren't that bad statistically speaking.

Won a few coincraft desks in an auction on the forum, one of them has turned up with a missing/broken connector on the blade that attaches to the the backplane (the black thing the pins fit into).

Does anyone know the part number or where I could obtain one from, my local electronics shop can fix it if I can get one, which will be much simpler than dealing with returning it to the vendor.

535  Economy / Auctions / Re: FAST AUCTION BITMINE COINCRAFT DESKS on: June 13, 2014, 10:23:25 AM
Well Fed-Ex finally delivered the last of the 3 miners (1 per day over 3 days).

Although the packaging is intact and it's the only that had no heatsinks loose, 2 of the blades have broken connectors, one is completely missing and the other has the top row disconnected, so currently only working with 3 blades. Sad

I have PM'd cryptx with several options to hopefully rectify this issue
536  Economy / Auctions / Re: FAST AUCTION BITMINE COINCRAFT DESKS on: June 11, 2014, 03:53:53 PM
Rattling secondary heatsinks.... Check

No idea where they go and machine is in an air conditioned server room with good temps so not too fussed atm

Biggest problem was only 1 of the blades was working.  Backplane was a bit loose so pushed it down tighter, 0 blades working Sad

Removed the backplane completely and most of the pins were bent, took ages to straighten them all up, but once done it's running fine now

537  Economy / Auctions / Re: FAST AUCTION BITMINE COINCRAFT DESKS on: June 11, 2014, 03:04:29 PM
Have any of these shipped....I've yet to hear from cryptx with tracking info.

Mine have shipped so I presume yours have as well.

1 of the 3 arrived today, the other 2 have only got as far as france, stupid fed-ex.
538  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [immediate delivery]1749USD for 1T BTC miner shipping via UPS/DHL on: June 09, 2014, 09:22:15 AM
Hopefully the machine arrives safe and sound, I will update once it does Smiley

Just to update as promised.

Machine arrived fine this morning, was well packaged, came with a UK Power cord, english manual and a network cable.

Hashing at 1TH+

Thanks to zyhsu815 for the excellent service, looking forward to doing more business with you.
539  Economy / Reputation / Re: Tigggger's Reputation Thread on: June 07, 2014, 02:15:00 PM
I have used betarigs in the past, in fact I was the first one with SHA256 rigs on there as I was beta testing for mux, there are pro's and con's to both sites though I have to agree that the way rigs are provided (no proxy server required) is better on Betarigs.

It's sadly missing some important things for me, like different rental rates and discounts. I tend to want repeat custom and long term rentals and price lower for those whereas on betarigs I can only have one price.

I hope the rest of the lease continues without issues, if there are any problems let me know.
540  Economy / Reputation / Re: Tigggger's Reputation Thread on: June 07, 2014, 11:56:30 AM
It was some 5.44.dontrememberother numbers IP address and another pool.  I was so pissed I deleted them quickly and put mine back up.  If it happens again, I'll get a screenshot.

Thanks, a screenshot would be very useful.

Like I said I have no other pools set in the machines, so the only source of pools to mine at is what leaserigs tells it.

I have on a couple of occasions seen my rigs continue to mine on a renters pool after a lease has finished so I wonder if this is similar and it was using the previous renters pools.

I have just added an hour to the lease as a gesture of goodwill, I will talk with the leasrigs devs and see if they can figure out what happened.
