How exactly is schedule supposed to work?

I set it to lower the voltage in 10 minutes for example and nothing happens when the time is up.

Current firmware version: 2.6.10

Been working fine for me, set the times you want the changes to occur, here I have cheap rate 00:00 to 07:00 so I set it accordingly

At the allotted time it changes as you can see from the speed graph over the last few days, fast during the night, slow during the day.

....I swap'd my Neptune
for a Titan (yeah dumb move) we can compare when my Titan becomes a doorstop also which of us got
the most screwed on this deal in hindsight (sigh another milestone to look forward to NOT)

Well the titan is a big loss maker I have one too as you know, but it's running and remained profitable even during the price slump.

The Neptune on the other hand I can't even turn on, so I've lost already

Is this a 2 for 1 bonus miner?  If so I have some very early orders as well.  Interesting.
Yes, 1112x
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 27, 2015, 04:24:37 PM
Is this the first report of a bonus neptune in the wild?

I've not seen any, and I had one of the very first orders, hence why I thought people would be interested.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 27, 2015, 03:51:49 PM
More news.

Bonus netpune on the way and will arrive tomorrow.

Sadly for me, my original one was turned off as it costs more to run than it makes, so it's useless.

Good news for the many scammers that operate on these boards, KNC are hiring.

https://harveynash.tms.hrdepartment.com/jobs/567/KnCMiner-is-now-looking-for-a-COOStockholm-lan

Whilst it doesn't explicitly say so in the application, I'm certain that your current skills and lack of morals/ethics are just what they are looking for.

Good luck

EDIT: Hey Josh if you are reading this, you are a shoe in for the postion given that BFL is virtually dead seems great timing for you.

Guy,

Is there any news on PickAxe? I really like the SP20 and SP31 and am very interested in acquiring more efficient mining gear soon.

I suppose more efficient gear probably won't be out until Spring 2015.
Patient my friend.

Before my vouchers from the SP30 refund expire ?
288  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [PENDING SALE] 6x Spondoolies SP10, USA, From $250 each + Shipping on: January 25, 2015, 05:21:47 PM
Thanks to all for the offers and the PM's

A deal has now been made.
289  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 6x Spondoolies SP10, USA, From $250 each + Shipping on: January 25, 2015, 01:50:18 PM
I'm bidding 1320 for your 6 SP10 with shipping to Canada included.

Thanks for the offer, I'm open to a little negotiation but not that much Smiley

PS I see from your buying thread you only use paypal, sorry but anyone familiar with paypal knows that in 2 months "if" you request a chargeback I will lose, they always side with the buyer. I closed my paypal account several years ago due to bogus chargebacks, so I couldn't accept it even if I wanted.
290  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] 6x Spondoolies SP10, USA, From $250 each + Shipping on: January 25, 2015, 10:34:50 AM
I have 6x SP10's that are currently located at Michigan Colocation.

I would prefer to sell them all to one person to make things simpler and would take $1500 which is $250 each. If there is no interest for them all I will sell them individually at $275.

Because I am in the UK I can't organise the shipping, so you will need to pay for that yourself and then send me the shipping labels, my host will then pack them up attach your labels and ship them.  If you want to get an idea of shipping costs I think the boxes are 63x56x14cm and 14Kg each but I will confim that beforehand.

Escrow is fine through either squall1066 or OgNasty both of whom I have dealt with before and have excellent reputations on the forum.
291  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Idea on hosting your miners opinions please on: January 23, 2015, 05:54:49 PM
There could be interest, but you'd need to work out some costings first.

UK power is silly expensive at around $0.23 and there is no hardware available at the moment that is profitable to run at those rates, so the solar stuff would have to save a significant amount off that to make both the machines and your operation profitable.

If you come up with some figures let me know.
292  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: January 23, 2015, 04:13:06 PM
The $0.47 per GH is what you pay for the contract, the $0.0015 per GH is what you pay for the maintenance.

Some more figures
5,000TH, costs BTC10.08540406 and makes BTC0.02499871 per day
Which means if difficulty never rises again you are looking at 403 days until breakeven is reached.
293  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: January 23, 2015, 02:08:01 PM
On a final note, I'm not bashing Genesis mining, I think they are, truly one of the real cloud mining providers with real hardware and hashrate to back up their business model, also having Guy and Spondoolies vouch for them goes a long way in my book, its just that for now, for me, cloud mining isn't the solution. But I'll keep an eye out.

There are only 2 types of cloud mining available

Genuine
Backed by real hardware and priced so that the provider makes all their profit up front, buyers take all the risk and if they are really really really really really lucky might start making a profit 6-12 months down the line, but with rising difficulty or falling BTC you can soon see a contract end up cancelled long before that point (see Usimoo, cex etc)
Chance of ROI <5%

Ponzi
Priced so that it appears the buyer will start making a profit in a much shorter timespan to make it appealing. Backed by no hardware at all and the operator runs away as soon as new suckers are sending in less money than the old suckers are withdrawing (see pbmining, hashie and a long list of others)
Chance of ROI <1%

secondly yes it's suprise for me..
i know they will collabse but not in first week
it was very short life for them Smiley

Ah the old "I know it's a ponzi but if I get in early I can still profit" gamble

... Unlucky
295  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: January 18, 2015, 10:19:09 PM
You need to reduce the price, AMHash is significantly cheaper, both upfront and in fees.

Are you sure ?

AMHash is BTC2.4 for 2TH
Bitmain is BTC1.7 for 2TH

Breakeven if difficulty never rises again (yeah right) is

AMHash: 301 days
Bitmain: 238 days

Neither are a good buy

Just took a quick look at that conintellect site, they claim 300MH earns 97.22 euros a day ~ $112 mining scrypt when the reality is about $9

The bulls**t is strong in that one.
297  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: January 16, 2015, 06:29:53 PM
Did anybody tried to run SP30 more energy efficiently? If yes, care to share the settings and what the energy consumption/hashing speed will result?
I have my units in hosting, so cannot play with settings as easily as with SP20 at home.

A few that I tried, the green was the optimal until the recent price drop, now they are all offline, UK electric rates kill any chance of profit Sad

we're the jupiter's sold?

Nope, I did have offers but they were overseas buyers and decided I didn't want the hassle/expense/delay in shipping abroad.

No idea what they are worth now, make me an offer Smiley
