Another two seeding devcoin nodes up:

107.20.209.11:52333

107.20.228.112:52333

in addition to existing 50.19.210.139:52333.

Do any of them have any DNS, even a no-ip.org type DNS, so we can use them in the DNSseed part?

Also, the IP address array has them coded somehow, I am not sure exactly how, what byte order it uses for instance...

-MarkM-

As DNS you mean mnemonic name such as www.domain.org?
Yes
Go to dyndns.org or no-ip.org, create an account and link devcoinnode1.dyndns.org or something to one of your ip
5206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deterministic Bitcoin wallet generator, using a FILE on: August 12, 2011, 04:25:03 PM
Every not common, binary file will bring huge security

Except that the thief could then either dl every non-common file or run the program on your machine relative to it. I think I would only do this if the file were on a removable drive. But then there's the chance of losing the file.

A passphrase is still the best option, imo.
I don't think he will download my 1k+ photos, and my 2TB external drive full of musics and films
With a 100MB file, it takes 5 seconds to calculate one private key

Use a 700MB movie, start at key number "your birthday+your phone number"/"your credit card number*your age"/"whatever" instead of 0, and nobody will never ever find your private key

Yes but keep the priv key somewhere
5208  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Pywallet: manage your wallet on: August 12, 2011, 03:49:31 PM
Are you reading the wallet database in such a way that concurrent access would be possible if the client also supported it?
Yes I think so

For maximum usefulness, it would be nice to be able to use the running wallet instead of having to shut down your client or take a backup.
The client opens and locks the wallet until it is exited, so until the devs change that behaviour it's not possible

I have some other ideas for patching the client too. Like being able to set a flag on an address that tells the node not to return it in response to a getnewaddress request so that you can have some keys used only for signing.
If you create a new address in the client and set its label to "Signing address", it will never use it as a pool key because it's not and with the label you will know it's your signing address
It should be sufficient I think

from now on i guess ill use this key, or i might make another one with proper capitalization...

I'll look at your file and make a link in the readme
I can't see your youtube video now because of a ridiculous bandwidth here... But thanks for making it

I added some little things: you can now sign/verify files and binary strings. Use this with "Hex:6294aa82be73" and "File:/home/jackjack/test.zip" (yes, ctoon6 gave me this idea with his dependencies file Wink )
In info you can now see the hash160 of a key
And when you dump a wallet you can chose the version. Before that, all addresses (e.g. namecoin and testnet) were changed in their bitcoin aliases which was not really practical

i didnt use the google logo to make a wallet
It's not recommended obviously Wink
Using a short text file is also a bad idea

Bonjour

Code:
************************
EXCEPTION: NSt8ios_base7failureE
CDataStream::read() : end of data
bitcoin in AppInit()

************************
EXCEPTION: NSt8ios_base7failureE
CDataStream::read() : end of data
bitcoin in CMyApp::OnUnhandledException()

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::ios_base::failure'
  what():  CDataStream::read() : end of data

Code:

Hi,
I finally got a hackintosh working not long ago and made a Bitcoin app for me to learn to how code on iOS
Maybe it could be useful for some
It checks your miners on as many accounts as you have at Deepbit, Slush and BTCGuild and it prints MtGox grices

It's not a project I develop heavily but if some people are interested I can improve it

To add an account: Settings tab, fill 'deepbit', 'slush' or 'btcguild' in 'site', api key in 'param1', and the account label in 'param2', then press 'Add'

C'est bon! Grin
