541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: January 21, 2017, 09:54:14 AM
Can someone check the torrent file on skycoin.net for skycoin wallet version 11?

It worked for two people, but does not work for me.

I am not sure if port forwarding is configured right on the seed boxes.

It seems to work.

I'm happy to see that you will release  linux 32 bit version soon.

542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: January 14, 2017, 07:49:42 PM
I  don't get it, so If I use a service that has AML, and I use it to transfert BTC into EUR.
My government get the infos ?

For exemple : If with mining I get like 5000$/year, does I will be asked to pay tax because the trading service will have send the infos to my country government ?

They could get the info.
Depends on the tax law and other laws that you have in your country.
I doubt that they send info automatically for every transaction that people make.
Usually banks and other financial institution have software that tracks the incoming and outgoing transactions of the account.
So if the software detects a strange transaction pattern on the account than this account could get reported to
tax or other state authorities.

Any ideas?

No. It seems you named them all.

What is PoE

Sure it proof of......

proof-of-existence

And I thought it was "Proof of Erection"  Shocked Grin!
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoW vs PoS conundrum - presenting a new form of PoA. on: January 11, 2017, 11:04:08 PM

I'm currently working on a blockchain concept that directly addresses the issue of Sybil nodes by limiting the creation of new accounts (which will thus have an economic value). In such a setting, you could have a transaction limit per account instead of transaction fees.

Hello.

I'm not really into this tech stuff you talk in here but I have noticed that one
coin is using this feature of mining limited number of accounts.
Don't know if this is what you meant  but please check here could be  something that could help you

546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the most cheapest blockchain for storing data on: December 29, 2016, 02:39:58 PM
The topic is more than a month old without receiving an answer yet. Any suggestions? I'm planning a small new project in the new year and I'm not sure which (cheap) block chain I should use for the prototype.

It could be that your thread was unnoticed.
Any way you could check "qora".
You could make webpages or store any other content within blockchain and it has an integrated webserver
but it also has a transaction costs.

547  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Lending on: December 24, 2016, 03:14:06 PM
Hello.

Excuse me for my ignorance but could somebody explain to me how this lending works?

Are those leased btc intended to be used only on poloniex for trading or
users that borrow this BTC can use them outside the exchange for other purposes?

If so what is used as collateral for the borrowed BTC?!
How this work?

Thanks.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 23, 2016, 06:46:26 PM
Its the cumulative balance of all the addresses I link now that I will get credit for?
Eg If I link an address now, but send funds to it before the snapshot time, I will get credit for those BTC too?
or is it the balance when you link it?

is the balace on snaphot time.
you can register an empty account and fund it later but must have funds before december 25th
at time of the snaphot. The time zone is not specified i suppose is december 25th 00:00  CET or GMT.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 23, 2016, 04:25:59 PM
I installed the wallet on Ubuntu and opened it, and sent the required amount of bitcoin from my Jaxx wallet to the address given by the transition bot.  The bitcoin transaction never confirmed.  Is there a problem sending from a Jaxx wallet?  How do I do it from an electrum wallet since there are multiple bitcoin addresses?  Do I need to sign the transaction?

If you can sign a message with your wallet then you don't  need to send any transactions.
What is required is to get your byteball address from byteball wallet (the bot will instruct you)
Then enter your bitcoin address into byteball wallet
then copy your byteball address without quotes into your BTC wallet

Sign the  pasted byteball address with your btc wallet.
Copy signature from btc wallet and paste into byteball wallet.
This should be confirmed in few minutes.

then you could check here if it is confirmed: http://transition.byteball.org/

550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 23, 2016, 04:20:37 PM
Should there be no issues doing the transition via Armory Wallet?

If you can sign a message no.
Actually you could do it with any wallet i think because you have 2 options to do it.

1) send micro transaction per bot instruction from your wallet
2) signing your byteball address with your btc wallet per bot instructions.

You can only be fuc*d if you do not have any BTC and neither your wallet can't sign a message.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 23, 2016, 03:30:33 PM
Whats the outgoing limit on the address you link?

I don't think there is a limit, never seen any limits mentioned in the thread posts!
At ends it turns out to be same
if you link 1 address with 20 BTC or 20 addresses with 1 BTC.

552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 23, 2016, 03:14:36 PM
is there any other way for free ditribution of byteball besides linking bitcoin account address?

Unfortunately no! Sad
There only ba giveaway later on:

Quote
One last thing.  The remaining 1% will be given away to the first 100m users who install Byteball wallet, 100 Kbytes to each user.  This will start 6 months from now or later, after we get ready for that scale.

Check the 1st page.
553  Economy / Services / Re: Anyone willing to sign a message for me? on: December 23, 2016, 11:08:51 AM
The fact you want to be part of the free distribution of the coin with somebody else's Bitcoin address is from "not nice" to "scam attempt", depending who you'd ask.
And the % you'd get there would be depending on the amount of BTC in the wallet who signs you the message. So just "funded" is not enough.
And now, since you have shown it's for ByteBall airdrop, tell me why would somebody do this for you instead of taking the benefit for himself......

Hello.

Maybe does not look nice but is not forbidden even the
dev himself never mentioned anything against it, check the posts.

You never know.
There might be a chance even little that some people in BTC do not care about alt coins at all
and a rather willing to earn some BTC even small than mess with any altcoins.

Well i guess I have made a shoot in the dark with this thread  Undecided
Apologies  to anyone who feels scared or offended.

I have never been involved in any scam or done any scam on this forum
and some people here started to accusing me of scam without any proofs which is really disappointing   Embarrassed

555  Economy / Services / Re: Anyone willing to sign a message for me? on: December 23, 2016, 09:48:47 AM
I wouldn't believe anything OP says about what the reason he's doing this.  He's asking for someone to help him lie in the first place.  There's no good reason why anyone would want to pay for signing a message from a funded bitcoin address that they don't own.

So my "friend" you don't have better job to do then go around accusing people of lie.
I gave the answer "reasons" please read it.

Thanks.
556  Economy / Services / Re: Anyone willing to sign a message for me? on: December 23, 2016, 09:46:56 AM
I could do this for you as long as you won't use it for scamming , gambling or adult industry. I have a few questions though :

1. I need to do know what this is for
2. I don't have that much BTC , so how much the wallet should contain (at least) ?
3. Fee you are willing to pay for this job ?

No scamming no gambling no adult shit (this one is free all over internet) Smiley

1) Is to participate in distribution of an altcoin.
2) The more it has the better it is.
3) Don't know exactly but i was thinking to pay on percent based upon BTC account size if this sounds logical.
Although I'm open for suggestions.

557  Economy / Services / Anyone willing to sign a message for me? on: December 23, 2016, 09:33:50 AM
Hello.

I need a small favor.
I need someone with funded BTC account to sign a message for me.
I'm willing to pay a fee for the service if we agree.

Thanks.

Clicking the link to chat with the transition bot doesnt seem to be working for me..? Undecided

There are 2 software versions on that page.
One is for [new testnet] and another is for the transition.

Check which version have you downloaded.
You need to download the 2nd version to participate in transition.

Do we have to use the latest version of the byteball wallet to participate? I downloaded the first non-testnet version but there's been a new one released since.

I have downloaded the source from github livenet branch and compiled.
0.7.1 is the latest version there
