541  Other / Meta / Re: Am I wrong to report these topics as "Low quality spambait topic. Read OP."? on: April 26, 2018, 01:10:03 AM
There was a mod who did a great job locking many low quality topics but he stopped. I wish he kept on going.
Don't worry, actmyname is doing his/her best to eliminate these low quality posters or should we call "Shitposters/Spammers". I don't know if he/she is a mod but actmyname is doing everything to reduce spam posts in the Forum Smiley

To OP, is it okay to leave a negative feedback to these shitposters after reporting them? Because I would really like to.

Check out this one

This one is a certified Spammer  Cheesy
Oh geeez.
542  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion-how can we improve the post quality on: April 25, 2018, 11:05:01 PM
If we make the following requirement for the different rank member. It may improve the post quality and also reduce the spam post.
Seriously? I think it will not. With your idea, spammers who post more than 50 posts a day will just be given a chance to rank up after a couple of years which supposedly they must not rank up unless they make Quality Post.
As we can see, 60 posts are just a piece of cake to these spammers, they can double or even triple it in a month. That's why I disagree to your idea. Merit System is working fine, It's a little bit hard to rank up but it's challenging. Those who make good quality of posts are the only ones who deserves to rank up and those who only spam will remain at their rank for their entire life.

Your idea won't reduce spam posts instead, it will only increase the number of spam posts and spammers. Because of the designated amount of required posts to receive a particular amount of Merit, they will just post and post until they reach the required number of posts every month. Which will only result by spamming the Forum.

If the forum can only detect Good quality posts, maybe your idea has a chance. Because it will distribute Merit to those detected Members who deserves Merits and will ignore those spammers. But for now, it's a No for your idea. Maybe there is another way.
543  Other / Meta / Re: Banned for what? User: Sellingaccs on: April 25, 2018, 10:40:50 PM
At first, I thought you were banned because of Selling accounts, but when I read it clearly after clicking the topic, it's just a name (Sellingaccs). Well I'm sure that you have done something wrong which violates the rule. There is no reason for your account to get banned if there is no possible and enough reason to ban it. Do you remember anything you've done wrong? I'm sure that there is, you just can't remember it or you just don't know that it was wrong.

The only way to retrieve your banned account is by contacting Sir theymos and other staff involved in recovering accounts. Since they are busy, you just need to be patience and wait for their reply. It is just a ban, you can still retrieve it. If it is your first attempt then it will only take 7 days if your problem is not resolved, but if Sir theymos responded to you, it is just about a few days.

Good luck.

Don't worry Sir Joe, we understand your situation Smiley
Just one thing, keep up the good work Sir Wink

Its a relief to know you're alive  Smiley

547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ATTENTION - SECURITY WITH MyEtherWallet on: April 25, 2018, 04:23:04 AM
Interesting project but we would like to know more about the team who are behind this because no profile links are available to get more details.
Interesting project? What the! Hey, are you even reading? This thread is not a bounty or a project. The thread is all about warning other members about this fake myetherwallet website that can possibly steal your Eth and tokens in your wallet once you log in using your private keys. Don't spam the thread buddy, try to read first before posting.

To OP,
thanks for the information. Keep spreading this information, it will be helpful. But one more thing, you should check the replies to your thread because this guy (I've quoted) seems like spamming this thread.
548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Wallets on: April 25, 2018, 03:04:02 AM
I am a little suggest, for now please be careful with the exchange and wallet applications on smartphones, because now start circulating phishing applications on smartphones that will steal all your secret data
Actually, using bitcoin wallet from phone is as safe as using any other wallet in computers. Its only up to the user how to take care of his/her wallet. Some people are just too careless. Sometimes, they accidentally give their private keys to other people or public and some people are just too dumb to give information to a unknown person asking for his/her wallet password or private keys.

I am one example of people who take care of their wallet so much. I only used a mobile bitcoin wallet app and I have no problem using it at all.

Tips.
To avoid phishing. Don't just click untrusted or suspicious link sent via Pm by a unknown person, also suspicious links that you can see on internet. I'm pretty sure that phishing sites are scattered everywhere.
If you really want to open a particular link, try to open it using different web browser where there is no account logged in. You can use incognito browsers, it is much way better.

Its a good topic for newbie before start invest to bitcoin. Very few topics that discuss in detail about bitcoin wallet...im appreciated for this topic  Grin .
Yeah, newbies should learn some or the basic information about bitcoin wallets too. I will move this thread to Beginners&Help section if I have to. Thanks for the appreciation Smiley

OP, please stop calling people Sir. The formalities are not necessary, because we are all equal here.  Wink {There are also a lot

of ladies on this forum}  Grin
Sorry for that, but I really used to call other people Sir/Ma'am. My basis of calling Sir and Ma'am depends on their name. Its my way of showing respect, although we are all equal as our identity are also anonymous, I still respect other people as I respect you Smiley

Thanks for the additional information, I will add it later  Wink
549  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT on: April 24, 2018, 10:57:46 AM
Eh? What? Another Merit topic? I've been out for almost 1 week due to busyness but what will I witness is people here are still making nonsense thread about Merits Smiley Why you guys can't just accept how the Merit System works. Can't you get over? Looks like it will take forever before these guys understands what and how Merit works.

Ooops. Looks like you made Sir Jet mad, get lost kid while you still have a chance, and remember, Never come back.

This forum is open for all no restriction on newcomer or a Hero Member. There are no designated sections for high rank members where newbies can't access.
Yeah, I think all sections are accessible by newbies but there are some sections here in the forum which restricts newbies to post. Like Ivory Tower. If I'm not mistaken there are some sections where Stuffs are only allowed.
550  Other / Meta / Re: make merit a crypto? on: April 21, 2018, 10:25:16 AM
I think OP just ate a poop of a cat that's why he came to this idea.
Why would someone make Merit as a Token or crypto?
What the fuck is the internet?

If we are making merit a crypto, I would like to volunteer to organise a coin burn to make merit even more valuable. Send all your excess merits to me, and I'll make sure they are burned. Here's a (/s) just in case anyone honestly thought I was being serious.

You want a serious answer though? If you make merit a crypto, people can buy it, and it therefore defeats the purpose of merit. The end.

I agree, looks like OP doesn't received any Merits yet that's why he is giving this idea to make Merit as Crytpo so that he can buy a lot of Merits just to rank up to Hero. Of course, presenting this idea to other "merit starving" members will make them agree to the OP. It seems like OP is asking for those Merit beggar's support Cheesy Good idea OP. I hope for the success of your merit ICO. See you with a sparkling Negative Trust in your profile soon (if in case that happens.)  Smiley

Merit is fine the way it is.
Any complaints Mr. OP?
551  Other / Meta / Re: Why did mods delete my thread without warning? on: April 20, 2018, 11:41:43 PM
Let me clarify something. First of all, Moderators will not delete any thread or even posts without any good reason to trash it. Maybe you delivered your report of this "scam ICO" badly, because the only reason I can see for them to delete such a thread is maybe because your thread is a spam. Although it is a report of a scam ICO which is somehow important, a spam is always be a spam and should be deleted without any hesitation. The first reason why Merit was introduced, it is to eliminate spams.

About the notification, you will only be notified if the moderator sends you a notification about your deleted thread (I guess). Because sometimes, some of my deleted posts notified me via message, it looks like this

"A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic. There are no rules of self-moderation, so this deletion cannot be appealed. Do not continue posting in this topic if the topic-starter has requested that you leave.

You can create a new topic if you are unsatisfied with this one. If the topic-starter is scamming, post about it in Scam Accusations. "

Quote
Your deleted thread/post's link

No need to complain about deleted stuffs, it has a valid reason for sure. Do complain when someone deleted your post that has been Merited by over 20 people.
552  Other / Meta / Re: Silent26's Merit Abusers Report on: April 20, 2018, 01:47:29 PM
Updated.
Case 1:The Trade

March 13, 2018
Members connected in this illegal activity :
Username: tokenmart
                    peach56

In this case tokenmart sent Merits to peach56 (posible alt account) and peach56 fight back by sending back Merits Smiley

Proof: Merit Summary

1.
2.
Additional evidences/proofs will be posted in conclusion.

Conclusion :

In this case, there is a "Merit Trade" happened. tokenmart sent Merit to peach56 in exchange of sending back Merits. Here is what happened.
tokenmart sent 37 Merits to this post by peach56 back in March 13, 2018

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3111586.msg32158834#msg32158834

which does not deserve the amount of 37 Merits.

Then after that, peach56 sent back 18 sMerits earned from receiving Merit from tokenmart which is half of 37 Merits received ( 18= 37/2) back in April 18, 2018 to this post by tokenmart

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2375857.msg24239752#msg24239752

It seems like peach56 used to sent back 18 Merits to a bounty thread created by tokenmart back in 2017 in order to hide this illegal activity.
After peach56 sent Merits, tokenmart sent again Merits (10 Merits) to peach56 to this nonsense post back in April 20, 2018

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2949973.msg30376259#msg30376259

Then after that, peach56 sent again Merits (5 Merits which is the sMerit earned from receiving 10 Merits from tokenmart (5= 10/2)) to another bounty thread created by tokenmart

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2984707.msg30679375#msg30679375

And lastly, tokenmart sent 2 Merits to peach56 in this post

Well, what do you think guys? This is obviously a Merit Abuse (Merit Trading) which is strictly prohibited by our Forum's rules. These two guys are guilty and I'm leaving them Negative Feedback

This activity is 100% GUILTY
Complains from these two members are open Smiley

553  Other / Meta / Silent26's Merit Abusers Report on: April 20, 2018, 01:34:02 PM

554  Economy / Services / Re: Bitexlive.com Signature Campaign on: April 18, 2018, 11:13:07 PM
Long term campaigns like monthly campaign should hire thirty party Escrow. If you want to run a campaign, participants are not the problem, but escrow is.
Once you provided all the necessary things like signature for participants, the payment amount for each rank, and the terms of your campaign, I'm pretty sure that there are lot of participants who will be willing to join.
But, they will complain about Escrow for sure so you should hire one of our trusted escrow like Sir Yahoo.

Or else your campaign will run suspiciously.

555  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Joe's Signatureless Challenge: Win $25 + 8 Merits every week! (Round 6) on: April 18, 2018, 05:33:43 PM
Dear Sir,
Hi Sir Joe, I've been so busy this week and still will be as this week is our examination week (You know, college life). If I can't make it win any place (assuming) I would like to join again in the next round if I didn't join any Signature Campaign. But I will still catch up, maybe this coming Saturday or even Sunday before round 7 ends. I'm letting you know because I'm not being active lately.

Thanks for your consideration Sir.

Regards

556  Other / Meta / Re: Who is able and willing to moderate the Politics & Society section? on: April 17, 2018, 03:59:18 AM
Your first post here was to suck for people.
First of all, I'm not suckin anyone. It is my opinion and my suggestion.
Quote

SIR Silent26 the second. you don't have anything really useful to add to this topic. you'd suck and then ask for a job. throwing your hat to try your luck.
Yes, you were right, I'm trying my luck. As Sir theymos said
Post in this thread if you're interested so I can see other people's comments on you.
So it means anyone is permitted to post their application as long as they are interested. And that's the reason why I posted here trying my luck, because I'm interested.
Quote

it's not the usual bounty campaign we all are used to. this is not the place to keep saying Sir.

Please don't stop me to do things on how I respect others. If you hate calling somebody Sir/Ma'am then you are free to call them whatever you want.

Master huh? Interesting..
Quote
why did you vote only for 5 people on the OP? you would ignore some people and would favour a few if you were a mod.
I vote those 5 members because they are the top 5 members I knew who were capable of moderating the society and politics section. But as we can see in their feedbacks, looks like they're not interested at all that's why I decided to volunteer myself Smiley
Yes you were also right, I don't have enough knowledge to be a moderator but, I would like to use this opportunity to learn more. I know that I won't fit to be a mod at first but as long as I learn,  I will be fit for the job for sure.

But don't worry Sir, if you think that I'm not really eligible to be a mod. Then I will stop barking around Smiley
By the way thank you for your feedback.

Quote
SIR Silent26 the second
The second? What do you mean? Having a CAPITALISED "SIR" before my username makes me think that looks like you're addressing me with something.
557  Other / Meta / Re: Who is able and willing to moderate the Politics & Society section? on: April 16, 2018, 11:00:39 PM
I think iasenko is referring to Sir theymos. Because if it really is TheyMust, then what is the subject of "they must" in this sentence? What particular subject he is referring to?
Quote
Hope they must (lets assume) finds a good solution to all this because just a few Mods cannot beat this horde of shitposters even working on a full-time job.
So does it means iasenko is referring to some kind of organisation or what? Because of the word "they".
Which I think is Sir "theymos's" name Smiley

...I think I can handle those shitposters by myself...

Before you dabble in handling shitposters, understand what is implied when someone says #PunIntended. Its a wordplay on Theymos' name.
Well, I see, my apologies Sir.
So does it means that I failed the very first test to be eligible as a Moderator?  Cry

You didn't notice the  #PunIntended, right?
Yeah, I'm sorry.

Given the OP I don't think Theymos would even want somebody politically correct to be a mod here.
Based on Sir theymos's suggested members. Looks like they are based on how much time they often visit society and politics section. Of course, obviously, the more "reported members"  you have means the more time you spend visiting that section.
558  Economy / Reputation / Re: Negative Trust on: April 16, 2018, 10:02:32 PM
After cheating bounty with alt account, this guy is attempting to sell accounts.

559  Economy / Reputation / Re: I got red trust... what to do on: April 16, 2018, 09:43:39 PM
After attempting to buy an account which is strictly prohibited, you are really asking what to do?

There is only ONE thing left for you to do.
Create a new account and make a commitment to yourself that you will never try to buy account again, and you will now follow the forum's rules in order to stay. Got it?
You should contact blazed, hilariousandco and saltyspitton about your concerns of your rating.
Although the OP makes an statement about his/her tagged account, these Moderators will just ignore him/her. The Pharmacist and Lauda has the rights of removing OP's Negative Trust which is a heavy punishment for disobeying rules.
560  Other / Meta / Re: Who is able and willing to moderate the Politics & Society section? on: April 16, 2018, 04:15:35 PM
..
Hope theymost ...

Fool, its not TheyMost, its THEYMUST find a good mod. #PunIntended
I think iasenko is referring to Sir theymos. Because if it really is TheyMust, then what is the subject of "they must" in this sentence? What particular subject he is referring to?

By the way. If no one really wants to Moderate society and politics section without any exchange, Please don't laugh but I would like to volunteer  Smiley . I think I can handle those shitposters by myself. But, please give me some advice what to do first as I'm not really good at this. But I can assure you guys that I can manage to monitor and delete spam posts in that section. I'm not visiting that section too much as I'm not interested on it but if by chance that I became a moderator for that section, I will pay my attention and focus for that section.  I know that some of you will (of course) somehow help me if I'm entitled to that moderating job. Support is all I need.

I know it will be a difficult job but, I will try my best. I'm serious. Its better to have me as a temporary Moderator (temporary because, please test me first for just a week if my moderating skills can improve something to that section) for that section than no one moderates it if no one really is interested to volunteer as a Moderator.
Please don't laugh at me. Instead leave some feedback about your thoughts in my idea.
So what do you think guys? Smiley I know some of you will say that I'm also a shitposter for sure.
I'm willing to take the job even without any good benefits for myself. Smiley

Please let me know your feedbacks first. Oh my, Silent26's running crazy.  Cheesy
