543  Other / Meta / Re: I said I've been eating food out of trash pins for over a month on: April 19, 2021, 02:04:33 AM
And you move my post to off topic? Wouldn't it make sense that I was looking for money, if you use even a little bit of common sense?

Does it have to spell it out in caps locks and precise words that I AM LOOKING FOR A LOAN

Still don't get it?

Let me ask you this question... Do you think loaning money to someone who eats trash is a good investment? What collateral did you offer for the loan?

I think what you really mean to say is, “I want your money, send it to me.” I would respect this honesty much better than you asking for a loan you have no intention or ability to repay.
When they say "I need it for beer" hand em 3 bucks for a tall boy.

They look like Luckybit coin holograms to me.

There was quite a few extra LB holos getting around years ago, so maybe.

The same holos may have also been for another coin, silver wallets I think

OK.. just to talk about Bitcoin for a moment... Wink

Considering Bitcoin use on the rise in African culture...  who are our Africans here?  Does anyone have data on this?  What I want to know is whether the idea is true that Africans are using BTC for trade via trusted second layers currently.  Exchanges for example.  That they are NOT trading into a lower fee crypto to trade in.  (BCH, LTC, DOGE for example).  I am asking how much Africans are choosing to stay in BTC rather than trade in the cheaper less liquid ALTS.

Are we seeing  Gresham's or Their's law playing out there?

From my reading I understand they are really staying focused on BTC, and just avoiding fees by exchanging off chain... and if that is true I honestly think this is one of the MOST important things happening with BTC from a evolution standpoint.

+1 WOsMerits

Exchanging off chain... how? The mother of invention... They might actually be onto something. It could be a web of trust backed by guns (fuck with me and Nigerian mafia will get your ass). I think we'll be the first to get more details, if it's really a thing. The WO is definitely part of the vanguard.
opendime was aiming for it. I guess they are walking around with paperwallets or usb drives in different denominations?? good question though for sure.
something like this can be done too

Yall selling today or hodling?
My gut is saying sell and watch for 52k.
My mind says do the opposite of what everyone else is doing and gobble some up.
They are both wrong 50% of the time.   Undecided
559  Economy / Speculation / Re: get a loan and reinvest it on: April 06, 2021, 11:41:26 AM
Borrow $
Buy Mining equipment.
write the borrowed money off and pay out of pocket
or make sure mining operation has positive unity over your loan, or cover decays from pocket.
I've kinda done this multiple times, Ill literally work for graphics cards or finance them sometimes, or essentially net30/45 em.
(I haven't gotten Asics in years)
That is not a good idea to do as buying mining equipment will not cheap and you need to buy high-end hardware so you can earn a good reward. There are no stop buying the mining hardware because the difficulty of each coin will increase from time to time and that will make you upgrade your hardware with the latest technology. That can cost you money, and that will better if you use it to start trading. But taking a loan to buy or invest in crypto will not be recommended, especially if you do not have the other income because you need to pay the interest monthly.
Next time you quote me can you contain more qualitive subject matter? Your argument is elementary at best.
Most people without jobs aren't like "Fuck I need to pay these bills and eat, I know ill get into bitcoin!"
Bitcoin will call your BLUFF.
I hear your concerns though, but simply put the topic title says "get a loan and reinvest it" I'm just joining the conversation.
What works for me doesn't work for everyone else. To each his own!.
560  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: VanitySearch (Yet another address prefix finder) on: April 06, 2021, 11:08:13 AM
Please tell me how you can change the code in VanitySearch, instead of looking for an address, I need to replace it with a search public key? That is, set the Gx point search function.

You need to add another searchType called something like PUBLICKEY and then in VanitySearch::initPrefix() and other places the variable is used, you need to detect the new search type here by looking for "0x" or "0X" at the beginning and add fields to the PREFIX_ITEM structure for x point, y point and the private key number.
