Now I have closed my TV because Portugal really won this match easily from Switzerland. This game started off very well as Switzerland looked great too, but Portugal's success in scoring goals and taking good chances means this game will not be so good to watch until the end.

This makes Portugal really safe to qualify for the next round and I am very sure Morocco will have a very difficult time holding Portugal like Spain earlier. That is a crazy thing for not starting Ronaldo but I believe he will surely play in second half if truly not happen to him.with performances Ronaldo have show in this world cup he did not deserve bench in any reason and if really he was bench without no any reason of injury Portugal have disappointed him be that, because  this is round 16 and they are playing against strong team which is Switzerland, which is necessary for him play because is a world class player which everyone wish to see him  pitch playing and believe is the one that will take national team to next level like messi, but if they bench him for no reason or they are planning to replace him in second half that show Ronaldo is not that important in Portugal national squad again.

And Pepe just scored a great goal with a brilliant header from an equally good cross. That makes Portugal ahead by 2 goals to nil and we are still in the first half.  It would be kinda hard to bounce back from this as Portugal equally seem intent on winning this game. It would be a bit difficult but I think if Switzerland could only score a goal before half time, then there is a slight possibility of them going in to a draw and perhaps into penalties.
Still, It seems like it would end 2 nil in favor of Portugal for the half time cause the match would most likely go into half time with the scores still 2 nil.

From this result it really made a surprise and of course new history for Morocco for the World Cup this time because indeed they were able to make it this far.
But for Spain this was really bad, from the start of the game I didn't really like their game which was only in the middle of the field and 3 failed Penalty attempts were clearly a little disappointing. I forgot about my bet because indeed in this case I was more disappointed from their game than the odds that I bet.

So far, I have seen the underdogs taking some whopping in this world cup. I see a really tough encounter between Spain and Morocco tomorrow with my bet on the Moroccan team. I know the Spanish side is quite formidable, but Morocco had been hot in the tournament and I see them frustrating to a greater effect, the efforts of the Spanish side.
It is also funny how the three lions made a 3 nil mark on the serenga lions of Senegal. It was quite unexpected but not beyond my surprise. All African teams need to really revisit their playing patterns and work on developing world class players for future tournaments.

it's true that Asian countries have to come home from the round of 16 where they have to accept defeat from their opponents, even in the ongoing match we see Brazil having a goal feast in this match where the temporary position is 4-0 for Brazil. There were no big surprises that happened in the round of 16 but I was amazed by the hard work from Japan but unfortunately they had to lose in a penalty shootout. in tomorrow match we will see portugal against switzerland and spain against morocco. maybe portugal has big hopes to win that match because they really want to show how ambitious they are in the world cup Qatar.

It's just too sad, the Asian countries are leaving this way, at least one out of South Korea and Japan should have made it to the quarter-finals.  The round of i6 is filtering the good out of the better.

Why did people doubt Brazil? I mean I get that we have seen some shocking results on this world cup, well we see it on almost all world cups but not this common, but did this game really look like Brazil would lose it? This was one of the clearest wins of all world cup, they didn't just win, they dominated the whole game and it looks like they are very very good for rest of the world cup as well. They will face Croatia who barely beat Japan, and I am sure that Brazil will destroy them too, its going to be tough to beat Argentina, but they can probably do that too, and anyone who comes from the other side on the finals, they are just way too good.

Seeing the strength of the Japanese, their players kept running. Although they rely a lot on counterattacks and continue to be disciplined in defense. Japan kept trying to keep not many balls sent through the hull, they learned from iIan Perisic's goal.
But the croatian goalkeeper's performance was very good, Minamino Pinalti first failed, second Mitoma and fourth Yoshida failed. Congratulations Croatia you won. Very interesting match. It seems that the Japanese player's mentality has not been good in the penalty round.
