541  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk Reward Ratio Tool on: November 13, 2023, 01:38:45 AM
To be honest I don't understand why you (and some other people) think a good Risk Reward Ratio should be and always be 1:3? The market has not always the same direction, sometimes it goes down, sometimes it goes up, sometimes it goes sideways, so why the RRR should be the same for every trend? When we are in a bear market, your Stop Losses are more likely to be triggered while when we are in a bull market they are less likely to be triggered and Take Profit targets are more likely to be reached so the RRR should be adapted to the current trend of the market if you want to have a smart money management IMO.
It can be bigger than 1: 3 like 1: 4 or 1: 5. The number for reward is bigger, the better because your chance to get profit will be 3, 4 or 5 times bigger than risk to have loss or at price you have to cut loss.

I understand your point that in a beginning of bear market like 2021, traders have big risk to lose money because altcoins can lose 80% or 90% from their all time highs. It's different in last two months when bear market is coming to an end and it's less risky to trade or invest in good altcoins and hold them. I see latest months are good times to have good RRR with altcoins.

Risk with altcoins is always high.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 12, 2023, 10:56:58 AM
Tottenham Hotspur started the game with an early goal, everything went kind of smooth until the end of the 90 minutes then they got knocked by two goals in extra time! That was unexpected and wonderful for Wolves to embarrass Spurs that way.
They were too carelessly and thought Wolves can not take advantage of their careless defense to score goals. They paid expensive cost with a shocked defeat and more than that it prolongs their bad form.

Quote
With these two successive defeats vs Chelsea and Wolves, which are sitting in mid-table by the way, Spurs allowed not only Manchester City to take the lead but also gunners to overtake them and maybe Liverpool depending from its result in today's game vs Brentford.
The season is long and Tottenham can come back but they must do it with a hurry because if they let this bad form continues, their player confidence will be harmed and it will potentially affects their performances in future. The season starts so good for Tottenham and they worked hard to have it, they can work hard to get another good streak. I really hope that Tottenham will come back strongly to make an exciting title race with Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool. It will help Premier League more exciting in this season.

Quote
Newcastle United surprised me too with their defeat by 2 goals against Bournemouth, a team that barely above the relegation zone.. They are getting away slowly from the european competitions spots.
Newcastle United are gradually feeling impacts of Champions League on their performance in Premier League. They don't have experience to diversify their concentration and player resource for two big competitions, Premier League and Champions League. This season will be a very big challenge for Newcastle United when they want to create impression in Champions League but also must maintain their position in top four of Premier League.
543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips to Follow traders/scalpers (who use Stop Loss) on: November 12, 2023, 02:55:25 AM
Hi do you know any good traders/scalpers (who use Stop Loss) to follow either in any copytrading platform or signal providers etc?
Use DCA and invest is easier for you and it's better for your capital. You will see your portfolio growth if you hold bitcoin and do DCA with time.

Today and coming months will be great time and chances for you to use DCA with Bitcoin and get profit. It's better to DCA in bear market and hold to wait for portfolio growth in a next bull run. The market started to warm up again with many good news about Bitcoin Spot ETFs.

If you are unsure about stop loss order, you can read One of best weapons in trading. Stop loss order can help you but you can use a better order type, Stop limit order.
What is a Stop-limit order?
544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk Reward Ratio Tool on: November 12, 2023, 02:48:13 AM
Hi is there any Risk Reward Ratio Tool that sends you a notification when there is a a good Risk Reward ratio for a certain altcoin?

Or the only way is checking every altcoin manually?
Risk Reward ration for altcoin investment or trading must start with percent of your capital used for it.

The percent is 10% or less will be good enough for you to manage risk. Assume you do something wrong, make bad decisions with altcoins, you will lose 10% of your capital. It is a loss that is painful but at least you will still have 90% of your capital for Bitcoin that can help you get profit and cover the 10% loss in altcoins.

Now, about Risk Reward Ratio for your entry, exit prices with altcoins, it must be 1: 3. From your entry price, you will have two possible exit prices: one for cut loss, another one for take profit. Entry > Cut loss : Entry > Take Profit should be 1: 3. If you see chance to take profit and profit is less than 3 times of your loss (if you cut loss), don't open that position.
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Ordinals a way to burn satoshis forever? on: November 11, 2023, 02:25:07 PM
As Bitcoin become scarcer, we should be prepared to face the insanely high fee in the future.
Bitcoin becomes scarcer is a narrative!

More bitcoin will be created on Bitcoin blockchain with miner mining and total supply of Bitcoin is already known since 2009. People only hesitate too much, delay their decisions when there are great times, prices and chances for them to accumulate bitcoin. They only begin seriously thinking about investment and accumulation when they see big green candles from Bitcoin.

It's true that there will be less new bitcoin in future because block subsidy will be less in future.
It's true that there will also be more bitcoin lost in future by careless people or by sudden deaths, accidents of technical issues on where they store bitcoin.
546  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tutorial]How to monitor multiple addresses without Insert seed and key on: November 11, 2023, 12:36:39 PM
I did not know that you can add different addresses and monitor them. Is it possible to add an address to a wallet that I do not own, meaning adding any address that I would like to monitor and the wallet will show me the total balance?
You can add any Bitcoin public address to a Watch-only wallet file and open it anytime, with Internet connection to see balance in that or those addresses.

It can be your address or addresses of other people.

Creating a watch only wallet in Electrum. You have two ways to do this as follows, more details are in the guide from Bitcoinelectrum.com.
With Master Public Key for Deterministic Watch-only wallet.
With Public address for Non-Deterministic Watch-only wallet.
547  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: November 11, 2023, 12:30:56 PM
Sport bets remain one of the games that amount to the highest total wager in a casino and it should be properly treated to avoid any possible abuse of a specific region or people.
Sports betting is most favorite betting type for gamblers and within a sport match, a gambler can bet many times that can trigger emotion, adrenaline a lot within a match.

Generally, gambling is not allowed in all nations and Sports casinos have to follow regulations according to where they submit for their casino license. They can proactively block users from some nations that listed as restricted areas to avoid unnecessary issues with governments there. So if a gambler wants to bet, bet with sports, a first step to do is checking Terms of Service and see his location is in a list of restricted areas by the casino or allowed by the casino.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the Choice of Investors on: November 11, 2023, 02:43:48 AM
Bitcoin shouldn't really be compared to Gold. That's why sometimes I laugh at those who compare Bitcoin here in this forum when the two are very far from each other. Apart from the fact that Bitcoin and Gold are different in usage, decentralization is not the end of the conversation, and there is nothing more to discuss.

It's just that in times like this that we are facing right now, not all investors have Bitcoin as their best choice of investment. I will just example myself, because I can't buy at least 1 bitcoin or save a large amount of it. Of course, I will look for another cryptocurrency that has the potential to keep up with the rallies that Bitcoin took during the last halving. I then chose other crypto assets.
Bitcoin is better than gold if you read The bullish case for Bitcoin.

Gold does not have a finite supply and a supply vs time chart like this.

The table of comparisons Bitcoin vs gold vs fiat shows the strength and potential of Bitcoin.

With time, Lindy effect will have bigger effect on Bitcoin.

549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and it's 4 Year-Cycle on: November 11, 2023, 02:38:18 AM
Halving reduces the supply of coins from miners.  However, how much could this affect the price of Bitcoin?
Bitcoin has its total supply, 21 million of bitcoins and new circulating supply will be created with each new Bitcoin block until 2140.

Because the cost of mining is unchanged with same network total hash rate and same network difficulty. If network hash rate and difficulty increase with time, cost of mining to have 1 bitcoin will increase consequently with time. Hence price of 1 bitcoin will increase in long run and by this, people believe that a Bitcoin halving will help Bitcoin to double its price.

It can be true in long term but in short term, price might be stable and not double like people expectation. It can take a few months for people, investors to realize the impact of Bitcoin halving, then it will be reflected on Bitcoin price.

However, this is the only risk that I cannot fully grasp or understand. I see that they minted another billion USDT in the last week.
Tether USDT is like other stable coins which can be frozen in your wallet.

551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Treating bitcoin as a teenager. on: November 10, 2023, 03:15:43 AM
I have read many articles exaggerating bitcoin price prediction's from both those who claim to be professionals and diverse bitcoin enthusiasts which I felt the necessity within to drop this piece figuratively.
Believe in yourself and to have solid belief, you must have knowledge about Bitcoin. Most important thing to master is Bitcoin's Controlled supply.

From Wiki, you can expand your knowledge about it with How is the 21 million Bitcoin cap defined and enforced? and Bitcoin Equivalent Network Time

Quote
We are expecting too much from bitcoin in just a short time of about 13years since it's creation. By logic bitcoin is just a teenager who has not yet attained the status of adulthood like the forex market for example, yet it has penetrate and saturate the financial market (global economy) becoming the talk of the town in the internet like it has been here 50 years ago.
Consider Bitcoin as Bitcoin and don't try to consider it as a teenager or adolescent or elderly.

The bullish case for Bitcoin.

Talk about Bitcoin and Internet, Bitcoin has a sharper adoption curve than Internet.
552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fund for Bitcoin promotion on: November 06, 2023, 07:20:30 AM
Is there some group which collects funds for Bitcoin promotion? If some group like this can create advertisements for Bitcoin, more people can become aware. Such mediums should be targeted which have reach on audience that is still not familiar with crypto.
Bitcoin is already big enough and it is different than altcoins, shitcoins that only rely on marketing to shill their shitcoins to investors, create pump and dump games to steal money, bitcoin from cryptocurrency investors.

Bitcoin does not need fund for marketing, promotion and do you think that it is always better to have organic growth?

Bitcoin has its organic growth because it has big developer communities who develop great things for Bitcoin users. If you want to support them, send your bitcoin, satoshis to their donation addresses.

Transactions in Orphan blocks are invalid transactions and miners who mined Orphan blocks don't get bitcoin from those blocks (invalid). They also can not spend coins in orphan blocks.
555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pro-trend or Counter-trend? on: November 05, 2023, 03:47:23 AM
Some people think that you should always follow the trend when you trade to increase your winning probability.

Is that true?
A trend is your friend, it is true but it is only true if you are holding your coins or trade your coins in Spot Trading.

By trading with Spot, your fund will not be liquidated by Long squeeze or Short squeeze. It's not true and different if you use leverages for your Margin trading, your fund can be liquidated and you will lose your money.

Going deeper to this liquidation story. If a trend is bullish, you make a collateral in Margin trading, use like x5 or x10 leverage, when that coin has a correction, your collateral will be liquidated. So even the trend is bullish, it's not your friend if you use leverages.

Same for bearish market, the trend is bearish but if you go with Short position, with x5 or x10 leverage, Short squeeze happens and liquidates your collateral. The trend is not your friend if you use leverage for short.
556  Other / Meta / Re: Signature campaign as a creation of bitcointalk on: November 02, 2023, 11:03:26 AM
Do you know that Signature Campaign is an invention of bitcointalk.org?
It is not an invention of Bitcointalk.

The signature space can be disabled by theymos anytime. The signature campaign industry in Bitcointalk can be stopped anytime by theymos.

Quote
I didn't know before now. I had thought that signature campaign is something that has been in practice even before creating the bitcointalk forum. But I was surprised to discover otherwise. I searched the internet for ways to earn bitcoin. Many blogs including binance news acknowledged that signature campaign is a means to earn bitcoin and it was started or it is exclusive for bitcointalk forum. Even 99bitcoins said a similar thing.
You are discussing two different things.

Signature campaigns to earn bitcoin.
Signature campaigns to earn income, not in bitcoin.

If it is to earn bitcoin, I am so sure Bitcointalk is a first place to have it because Bitcointalk is a Bitcoin forum, created by the Bitcoin creator, founder. You can not find other places to earn it, before Bitcointalk.

If it is to earn income, not in bitcoin, you can find other places, other forums.

BBCode was invented in 1998, long before Bitcoin and Bitcointalk.

A first offer to pay forum members in bitcoin is in 2011 with auctions, then became more popular in 2013.

557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "change password frequently" on: November 02, 2023, 02:06:23 AM
This account has already been hacked a couple of years ago and I regained it back. I think the big problem is that I'm using the same password on every sites and same username too. So one site was hacked and now the hacker can steal all your information that has the same username and password.

So if you guys had same password different sites CHANGE IT NOW you can generate and save password by using password manager like Bitwarden
This is important.

It is a very common mistake by many people, using a same password for every accounts they have.

Passwords must be always unique and randomly generated. If you don't use random passwords, you can fall into your favorite style with similar patterns for your passwords.

Are your passwords in the green?
Have your email been pwned?

Unlike some years ago, I guess you talked about 2017 with Bitcoin Cash and Roger Ver team tried to say their altcoin is a real Bitcoin. Some years later, they seriously failed and I can say they will never succeed.

There are more shit Bitcoin fork altcoins after Bitcoin Cash like Bitcoin SV, a most famous after Bitcoin Cash but they are all shit altcoins.
