541  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2019-04-23 DailyCaller - John McAfee's ... Plans to reveal Satoshi Nakamoto on: April 24, 2019, 08:34:34 PM
I  seriously doubt it, and I personally think that Satoshi Nakamoto isn't a single entity but a crack team made up of seasoned professionals. I think the whole altruistic and decentralization theme is all too clever and selfless for one guy to orchestrate, but hell, I could be terribly wrong. If it is just a one man operation, thats pretty awe inspiring and must have taken him/her careful planning, being laid out possiblly years in advance, just to pull it off the way he/she did!
That's just my personal theory though   Undecided
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New opportunities? on: April 21, 2019, 05:19:43 PM
Hey guys!

Any new and promising ICOs to be looking after? I've viewed many but, tbh, most of them seem rubbish. Any actual ones worthy of investment in? Thanks!
DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A FINANCIAL ADVISOR OR EXPERT, I'M SIMPLY STATING MY OWN OPINION. FOR FINANCIAL ADVISE PLEASE SEEK A LOCAL PROFFESSIONAL.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say, it looks like you're fishing for stock picks  Wink. Nothing wrong with that though, I'll won't share what I myself have found, but will tell you how to do so for yourself.
You see, If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime!
Here's what you do brother, you must research and cross reference using a Venn diagram styled approach all the coins from ICO'S and compare them to similar projects already on the market. If your ICO that you're reviewing isn't like anything else on the market and it's not to good to be true. You'll have gold on your hands my friend.
Unfortunately, finding a Diamond in the rough requires either blind dumb luck, or good Due Diligence.
Ask yourself, Is the team open and transparent?
Do they offer a white paper? What are there goals and is there a roadmap available? How many similar projects exist, and will I receive profit from investing?
Too many projects are over saturating the market with little to no innovation added, just a clone war!

Conclusion: Pick projects that offer you a breath of fresh air with either new innovation, or a stellar roadmap, Superb team, and community, etc. Remenber, always practice you're due dillgence.
  Now, go get'em Tiger!!!  Cool
543  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you figured out what you are Investing in? on: April 20, 2019, 12:40:20 AM
The hyped in 2017 cause bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies to surged toward the end of the year and complete crashed back to the bottom in December 2018. Did people really know what they are investing in?  Is a question that keeps ringing in my mind and actually the answer to that question is that people follow the hype and forgot to  checked for reality before investing and this come from the testimony of those that has claim of making big profits or gain from the past surge that came into the cryptocurrencies market.
I think the red flag there is that people think of what they are going to get from their investments into cryptocurrencies more than the capital they have invested and as results when the reality done on them,  they began to sell out of panic and in turn the market clash like it happens through 2018.
Now that we have another opportunity to invest because of the down turned,  I do believe that it is good you look at the reality behind any coin you want to invest in and not the FUD,  manipulations,  FOMO and hype behind those coins.
It took me years to figure out but I've realized that I've been investing in everything but myself. That will be my greatest investment.
As far as crypto is concerned, I stopped investing my time on short term goals and starting focusing on long term investments.
544  Economy / Economics / Re: How adoption will happen on: April 20, 2019, 12:36:02 AM
Is it going to start with poor countries and their dictators?
Is it going to start in the USA with their SEC and ETF and everything?
Discuss.
I think that in order for a mass adoption to happen for cryptocurrencies, there will need to first be a mass adaptation by parliament and or governmental bodies.
As of right now, even though crypto is becoming wildly popular, it still hasn't gained enough momentum to reach the regular Joe, you know, the average citizen who may not exactly be technically inclined, like grandma, grandpa or children.
The user interface for most crypto related things aren't necessarily "user friendly".
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John "fucking" McAfee: I will reveal Satoshi on: April 20, 2019, 12:26:29 AM
John McAfee claims to know the identity of Satoshi and has made several twitter posts suggesting he will reveal the identity if the they do not reveal themselves.

Quote
I protected the identity of Satoshi. It's time, though, that this be put to bed. Imposters claim to be him, we are spending time and energy in search of him - It's a waste. Every day I will narrow down the identity of Satoshi until he reveals himself, or I reveal him.

Quote
How do I know about Satoshi?

Yes, I drink, use drugs, chase women, run from the law - which I have done since I was 19. But it does not obviate the fact that I created a great company whose focus was stopping hackers. I had to know hacking. I am still John Fucking McAfee,

The "Who is Satoshi?" Mystery must end! First: It is NOT the CIA nor any agency of any world government. It IS a collection of people, but the white paper was written by one man, who currentky resides in the US. If he does not come forward these narrowings will continue.[
https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/1118569049871482885?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1118569049871482885&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ccn.com%2Fjohn-mcafee-satoshi-nakmoto-identity-countdown-bitcoin

I don't know if he really knows who he is, but he is probably the most credible person to come forwards claiming to know or be him. That itself is not really difficult with the string of charlatans who have pretended in the past, but it is entirely possible given his past that he does know and again entirely possible this is just another John McAfee PR stunt.

Wow, breathtaking if it really ends up holding weight because those are some serious claims to make. I don't know whether to be excited or to feel shame that Satoshi may have been found. He's a hero to some, but a villain to others. It really puts a spin on you're moral conpass.  Embarrassed
However, I think only time will tell, the rest iseems like gossip until proven otherwise.
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATMs doubled every year since 2014 on: April 20, 2019, 12:16:46 AM
According to some sources, Bitcoin ATMs are the rage thing now. They have doubled in number every year since 2015, and the trend has continued. There have been reports of even one of these being installed in Venezuela, and it seems that people is using them, even with the disastrous fees that they are collecting. what do you guys think of Bitcoin ATMs? are they a viable source of onboarding normal people into cryptocurrencies?
Source: https://www.btcnn.com/news/bitcoin-atms-have-doubled-for-the-past-four-years/
I think that the main reason they haven't taken off since the beginning is because of the heavy penalties from regulators.
In order to operate an atm requires money business transfer licenses and things of that nature.
At least in the states it does. I think you have to register both with state and federal government but I'm not 100% sure. It's best to check with you're local parliament and financial professionals.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty that paid you some good reward on: April 19, 2019, 10:48:26 PM
hey all... it's exactly one year now when market started downward movement due to which many bounty/ico companies were not able to list their token to any exchange. Some even did not bothered to send bounty reward token to bounty participants. I have more then 40 tokens that are not listed to any exchange. This situation forced many participants to stop working on bounty campaigns and find some other way to earn from crypto. What was the last bounty that paid you token and that tokens were listed on good exachange and you were able to earn 1-2 ETH / 0.1 to 0.2 BTC or any small amount.

It's simple, the higher you're rank here on the forums, the better the incentives will become. The Job community purposeful pays unfair wages to low rank members in order to discourage scammers and spammers.
Another reason bounties seem dead is because people are choosing the wrong kinds of campaigns looking to get rich quick by joining any and every campaign, especially from projects that offer little to no innovation to the sector and will most likely fail, never reallly getting off the ground.
There's dozens of projects on this forum right now, offering bounties that don't pay well up front, but will end up mooning without a doubt, due to the innovation they offer.

A Crypto Blessing: China’s Plan to Ban Bitcoin Mining Will Work Wonders Joseph Young  09/04/2019  Bitcoin Analysis, News, Opinion

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) revealed its intent to eliminate the bitcoin and crypto mining sector immediately in its guidance for adjustments to industrial structure published on April 1.

The list of sectors that will be encouraged, restricted and eliminated will undergo a public consultation period until May 7 according to the report of SCMP, and as such, mining facilities in China are likely to be able to operate throughout the next month or two.
Is it because of Chinese control of the mining share? Is there a source for this information such as an article or news briefing, because I would like to know more? If what you say holds weight, this could be big!
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etheredelta Which one is genuine ?? on: April 19, 2019, 01:43:53 PM
In coin marketcap i am not getting link for Etherdelta is https://forkdelta.app/ abut etherdelta.com also working which is genuine . Is etherdelta.com still safe to use. Please give me suggestion some of my tokens only tradable in etherdelta.
Didn't the Federal government S.E.C shut Etherdelta down a few months ago? I'm didn't know that it was still around. I think Forkdelta sounds an awful lot like Etherdelta. Wait a second, I think it's a fork of the former.
550  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is really hopeful about the future of Bitcoin and why? on: April 18, 2019, 10:47:32 PM
I'm pretty hopeful, I mean I've seen the price go from $250 to nearly $20,000. There's no choice but for me to remain optimistic now. I think that Blockchain is still within its infancy stages.
Imagine what kind of consensus we'll be running five years from now?
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current Market state on: April 18, 2019, 10:43:17 PM
Looks to me like the volatility is somewhat stabilizing. I think a few more corrections are needed though. The growth is looking healthy and authentic. We're a long way away from nearing $20,000 again though.

Blockchain Use in Finance Still Faces Major Challenges: Chinese Researcher

The use of blockchain technology in the financial sector still face many challenges according to a major Chinese researcher, local news agency Sohu reports on April 12.Wei Kai, head of blockchain research at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), described roadblocks to the technology’s further adoption at a 2019 meeting of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Banking Commission.

I think the problem lies within Blockchains being decentralized and public. It doesn't quite fit the current model of the system, though I am certain that parliament does realize its useful potential, but immediate adoption is questionable. For most Government like situations, it would require great changes to be made, and government is slow and steady when it comes to changes, so the need for adoption is necessary but will be exceedingly difficult, due to the rigidness of how governments work. I think slowly overtime, governments around the world will adapt and incorporate the tech into their everyday systems, as the Blockchain technology improves.
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (BTC) Gaining Interest From Investors, VCs and Tech Companies on: April 18, 2019, 02:44:58 AM
Wow, I didn't expect to see moves like this being made so soon! I guess the big guys really want in now, lol. I think we're edging closer and closer to seeing a bull run. I don't want to get my Hope's up, but I'll try to remain optimistic.  Cool

The Telegram channel for both the bounty campaign and their official channel are very active. I just joined about a week ago. I had more than 15 posts, that were posted more than the correct length of 70 characters (as I always do) and placed them in the required subforums.
On the spreadsheet, I was given a "0" for the week, with no explanation as to why.
So that is why "I" choose to withdraw. I'm not trying to discourage anyone from participating.

I'm removing my signature and I'm withdrawing from the campaign, I did everything that was asked for the signature campaign and received 0 stakes for participation.  Huh
560  Other / Meta / Re: Adding images to forum topics. on: January 27, 2019, 05:51:46 PM
How do I add images to forum topics like this one. I have been finding it difficult to do so.

Just a quick note, in the event that the BB-Code doesn't work for you. BB-Code is limited depending on what rank you currently are. The restrictions for each member can be found somewhere within the "Meta" forum. Just do a little sniffing around.
