for the bitcoin Miner, please select 80 Plus gold or plat. Little investment into the PSU makes a bit difference in a long run Reset the S3 to factory defaults. Seems to have fixed that problem. I'll let it run for a day to get another average to make sure and then try to switch the PSU again.

S3+ with disappearing 1 hashing PCB. If you can still login to the Web Control Panel, please attempt to update to the newest firmware or December 19th version. Power it off, check all the cable connections then let it power it up again. If that doesn't work, more than likely your unit will need warranty work be done. You can attempt to trouble shoot on your own to pinpoint the defective parts, or you can return the whole unit to be troubleshooted by the techs to avoid further loosing mining time. Average RMA time is 1-2 business days, the working replacement will be send to you after the defective unit was received. Must Include the following Printed Bitmaintech.com Order Confirmation Page with Shipped Status Printed Note: (Describing what is wrong with the unit) *Please try to use the original box as possible RMA Address Bitmain Warranty 3700 Quebec Street Unit 100-239 Denver, Colorado 80207 Tel: 844-248-6246 Option 2 *** If you have purchased Antminer else where other than http://www.bitmiantech.com or Amazon & Ebay account "Bitmain", please include your proof of purchase showing the payment date and item receipt date and the Response from the seller when you requested refund or warranty claims. if you have a dead PSU, please PM this account with your Bitmaintech.com OrderID and what happened to the PSU, please take some photos with your username on it.
Questions regarding using a different PSU while the original PSU is dead. Yes as long as it is a strong enough PSU, you can do so with your own risk.
S4 is designed specific with this PSU, so if you use any other PSU, please consider how much watt each line would pull and power cord gauge) If you modify PSU to fit with the connectors on S4, it could be hazardous to splice the wire without a proper process and it may create a fire hazard or electrical shock hazard.

@sloopy,
If you need the S3 Control PCB restored, if you could return the S3 Control to the warranty center, we can reset it for you.
Non-Warranty Qalified Items, we usually charge you the return shipping fee, however, in this case, Please let us know which seller you purchased the S3 units from and how jerk they were in details.
We will waive the fee to reset the control PCB. (If you need 2 of them, just send them back to our warranty center via USPS Priority Mail if you are in the USA.)

thats a bit too hot!!!! Ants works the best if its colder I'm getting 69 and 65 temperature?
Is this okay to long time?
|

+1 But... But.... Butttttt.... It's cool to watch hashing PCBs bubble in the liquid Indeed people seem to forget that the mineral oil heats up and it still needs to dissipate the heat away. The same amount of heat is generated...

If you don't mind Hosted Mining Power, you can enjoy 2TH/s for $350. ($175/TH with S4) http://www.hashnest.com <=== HashNest.Com is Owned and Operated by Bitmain hasnt everyone with an S2 shut it down already??
0.30USD per day is hardly worth it, is it?
no I'm running all of mine still, but what is annoying is that they take 1100w each and that is double the s5, so my actual capacity becomes limited. but they can be had super cheap. so for me it's 1 th for 150 bucks, so per th it's not a bad deal. I just loose opportunity cost.

Thank you for a good idea!!!!! note sure if it has been mentioned for antminers
But, schedueled performance profiles.
In some countries power is cheaper during the night, so a profile that lets you run at one freq during the day, and a different freq during the night - or just in certain timeframes.
Would be very nice.

Thank you for the suggestion! Acknowledging that this is not a major point, have others noticed the plastic side panels tend to be bowed (as opposed to flat)? I found that with my new units I needed to loosen the forward screws to relax the side panels and allow them to flatten. Unfortunately, the screws appear to be particularly tight and it's a real challenge to relax them without damaging the Phillips heads. Perhaps this is something Bitmain production/shipping could take a look at?

Will forward the message to engineers!!! I sincerely hope future "home miners" from both Bitmain and SPTech will run much quieter.

Before SP's price slush... This hit the market!!! * $0.099/kwh all-inclusive cloud hosting fee. * Another way to look at this offer is 1 unit of S4 2TH/S unit is $350 and be hosted at $70/KW per month Interesting. 3 sp20's for <1200$ now!!! ballin! w/free shipping (more ballin) the question is how will bitmain respond? Surely simply matching this price is not sufficient....

S1 fan is better than no fan, but S5 fan is a lot more powerful than S1, so you may struggle to keep S5 cold enough... Ok I finally install everything. With my setup, I cant run at 350. I run at 275 and get around 875 gh But the sound is almost 0. The temps are 63 and 54 is that ok ? Im also looking to put 2 S1 fan on it but the wire is to short I need to find extender.

Please keep the cap closed!!!!! if you are worried about the pressure, may be wait until 30's then close the cap nice and tight!! Well, like I posted before two of my pumps were making noise and one finally died today.
Were you closing the cap tightly? Did you fill coolant to the top? Can't close the cap tightly because the the heat would create too much pressure in the loop. I keep it loose so there is a vent. And I don't fill all the way to the top, but fairly close. Doesn't everyone keep the fill hole loose? You don't want too much pressure in the loop. Going from 28 to 40 is going to create a lot of hear and pressure.
