541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 18, 2021, 11:59:33 PM

you are right, there are 3 big boards but there are 5 small boards also. If 2 or 3 small boards unite together then ICC has no other option left but to listen to them. But they are not doing it since they don't wanna lose IPL contracts.
So what is the point of complaint as you cannot have it both ways, either the smaller cricket boards join hands and complaint against the injustice or they need to accept the fact that all they need is money and they are satisfied. They are satisfied and yet they are not complaining and yet we are here in this forum complaining about the big three while the ones complaining about them are silent  Cheesy.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Metaverse x Gambling on: October 18, 2021, 11:56:17 PM
~
As I said, I highly doubt that people will accept Metaverses at this stage.

It's way too early. The infrastructure around a lot of these metaverses are incomplete and game mechanics are too complex to understand properly.

Will you bother to learn so much about a metaverse just to bet $5? Or would you just put $5 on roulette on Roobet...
It can create a new opportunity and if you can create good contents for Metaverse you will attract game lovers and there is no doubt about that. The most important aspect should be, the price in which you are spending to play should be minimum. I am not going to pay $10 every time i play, we just need to rethink that and if there is a good game and if it is fair with the amount of money you spend then it can be a success and in the future expect more companies to experiment in that aspect.
543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: October 18, 2021, 11:38:13 PM
~
Why suddenly they would lost hope after AJ lose his fight? I think that's okay as long as AJ will bounce back.

What if in this rematch AJ will win again, then they would be happy to promote him to a big fight against Fury which would probably give massive cash to the promoters of the fight and that would not be possible without AJ's hard work.
If Anthony Joshua is able to defeat Oleksandr Usyk in the rematch then it would be epic as AJ will be known as a fighter who always performs well in rematches  Cheesy. I doubt whether AJ could emulate that this time against Oleksandr Usyk. The next fight i want to see is Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury and AJ facing Wilder.

Joshua vs Fury has been hyped already even before the fight of Joshua against Usyk, so Joshua just needs to win the rematch and he will get the biggest paycheck of his boxing career in a mega fight.
The same hype will be there if AJ is able to defeat Usyk and have the belts and then Fury will make quick works and i think Fury will end his boxing career after that win.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 18, 2021, 11:27:37 PM
~
As always, bookmakers favor the champion. However, I think there is really no favorite in this fight. Sure Crawford is undefeated, but that doesn't mean the good streak never ends. Personally, in my opinion, both of them have equal chances, but as I usually like supporting underdogs, I think I'll bet a few bucks on Porter.
In a fight everyone has the punchers chance to win the fight, but there is a reason for Terence Crawford having an undefeated record, he faced some of the top boxers in the world and his most impressive wins were against Amir Khan, Kell Brook and José Benavidez Jr and those were comprehensive victory with knockouts, Shawn Porter will be another one like the ones Terence Crawford faced and it will be another victory for him if he display the same level of skills.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your top coin to invest in for passive income? on: October 18, 2021, 11:06:56 PM
With there being thousands of coins all earning diferentes APY percentajes ir can be hard to choose which coin invest in to get passive income.
I am staking a few coins which i have invested over a long period of time and i am earning a decent APY on a annual basis and i am not sure how long i will be staking these coins because i sold some of them during this rally and i need to check the project and how they are planning to develop and then take my position as i do not want to be a bag holder and expect them to rally in the future.

Binance, Cardano, Solana are some of the coins i am staking and then there are a few others as well which i invest over the years.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Erc20 tokens send fee on: October 18, 2021, 10:57:55 PM
I think only BSC, TRON, SOL, etc are lower transaction fee over ETH. It was long time that the transaction fee of Ethereum is the problem of investors because the gas fee is so unfriendly. More people thought that the update in London could solve the problem. But it didn't happen. The transaction fee is still expensive.
The transaction fees is hurting the investors and the projects who are using their platform and the project developers need to find alternatives especially NFT projects so that the end user is happy with the way things are. The promise of a lower fees after the upgrade is just a promise and unless we see any gradual change in the network fees, there is no point in holding the coin even as an asset.
547  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be the effects of China's central bank declaring all crypto illegal? on: October 18, 2021, 10:42:37 PM
~
We have seen these things happens in other places where Bitcoin has been banned, and people quickly switch to making use of P2P, so this can’t be stopped.
What happens if majority of the centralized exchanges bans users from China or banned countries to trade in their exchanges, then it will be a difficult task. They need to either trade in decentralized exchanges in order to cash them out and some of these exchanges are not having high liquidity and it is a risky proposition if you are trading huge numbers.

The good part is that, these news did not have a huge impact on the market this time around, usually these news will take the market down drastically but this time we did not see that kind of impact which was a positive thing.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Estonia on a road to possibly revoke most crypto licenses issued in the country on: October 18, 2021, 10:30:22 PM
this is only a small blow for Bitcoin due to the actions of the Estonian government which has made the decision to partially revoke crypto licenses. The price of bitcoin will not be destroyed if the Estonian government revokes most of the crypto licenses in the country, so we don't have to worry about the actions taken by the Estonian government.
If Estonia revokes some company license, what has it do to the valuation, i am not sure what is your calculation in this aspect. The price is determined by the market and if a whale wants to short the market with a new like this, it is possible he could create panic in the market.

The price of bitcoin will continue to rise from year to year as the times and along with the increase in population around the world.
You cannot expect the price to rally ever year, if you are new here in the market, you should accept the fact that there will be time when the market goes down drastically and it might even take years to recover during a bear run Tongue.
549  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mixer Bitwhisk.io seized by the FBI on: October 18, 2021, 08:42:10 PM
It could be that the FBI was after bitwhisk.io, but by the time they catch it, the domain had changed ownership. What do you think?
So finally, a scammer possibly in trouble for something he didn't do    Wink Grin
It is highly likely that the owners of Bitwhisk abandoned the site because they knew they are being tracked and the scammer took over the site. But i cannot find any reports regarding any arrest in this case. Their domain is seized and if you get many reports of scam they usually seize the site.

Here is a thread here in scam accusation regarding the comeback  Bitwhisk.io 2.0 - Don't send you coins there. A scammer is behind the comeback.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT a trustable? on: October 18, 2021, 08:03:17 PM
You can change to BUSD or DAI if you want but I don't think USDT is a scam stable coin, it's just this stable coin has many haters they spread FUD news. USDT is the most popular coin in the market and I think every exchanges has USDT. If you are not comfortable using USDT then you can change stable coins like BUSD or DAI these two are trusted.
There are many users who will not listen to the multiple warnings and keeps on supporting the project unless they get busted or the developers run away with the money. All you need to do is to check their collateral and each and everyone can make their own assessment and see whether these are FUD or there is a chance that the developers are lying about the collateral.
551  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon musk now the richest man in earth on: October 18, 2021, 07:05:32 PM
Real wealth is measured in productive capacity, most of his wealth depends on Tesla shares being in demand.  Tesla itself is not essential productive capacity, it relies on constant expenditure and development for cutting edge technology.    I'm not convinced long term he is wealthy should we find QE is no longer available only certain companies will be as valued not the luxury type that currently do well with easy money policies.
The amount of wealth Elon Musk accumulated in a short period of time is astonishing and he is smart enough to manipulate the market and we have seen that time and time again in the stock market and in the cryptocurrency market and as long as he does not mess up he will stay in this position for a long time.
At most Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk will share the first and second position for years to come.
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 18, 2021, 04:22:23 PM
Is warm up matches going on right now before the T20 World Cup as i see the teams facing each other as the scoreboard is showing the teams facing each other. New Zealand and Australia are playing and England and India are playing and Pakistan won against West Indies without much trouble, but does anyone know how to watch these matches as i cannot find the live telecast.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 18, 2021, 02:45:25 PM
I was with a friend today who was in a hurry to place his bet on some numbers that were sent to him for some football matches that he believes are fixed. I'm a bit confused how fixed matches work.
You were with your friend who claims that he got some random numbers that were sent to him and he was placing bets, you could have seen first hand whether he won or not and you could have asked him how he got them. It was far better than asking us here who does not have any idea how to find fixed matches  Tongue.

Are fixed matches real? Do the coach and players of teams were matches have been fixed, do they consent to it? If you were in a team were your next fixture has been fixed, what will be your reaction?
You should tell us whether your friend got fixed match or not and in which event he was placing the bet.
554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: October 17, 2021, 10:47:09 PM
Take note though that Caraballo is not a one punch ko artist. If you have to look at his highlights, it's almost a accumulation of punches that makes his opponent go down.
Carlos Caraballo is an upcoming young talent with full of confidence and i think Jonas Sultan is the biggest test of his career. In lower weight divisions you cannot expect everyone to be a knockout puncher, accumulation of punches will do the job.

One thing that will go for Sultan is that he is somewhat awkward and this could throw Caraballo a bit as he is a southpaw. There might be clash of heads here, just saying.
Carlos Caraballo won all of his fights via knockout and Jonas Sultan has never being knocked out in his career, there is no doubt that the skills of Carlos Caraballo will be tested in this fight.
555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 17, 2021, 09:25:54 PM
~
maybe after this fight and if he can easily win over caleb, i am guessing he will be thinking how to move up the ladder. i don't think he will just be contented to stay in his comfort zone. he will aim for more as he is still very capable of. but for now, he's focusing with his training for this upcoming fight. but just wanna say, i prefer canelo's style of fighting rather than mayweather.
I am expecting an easily win for Canelo Alvarez and after defeating Caleb Plant what is the best opponent he will have to challenge him. The only competition he had was Gennady Golovkin and i thought he lost the first fight and i would like to see the trilogy so that the boxing fans would see an excitement fight which is competitive rather than having one sided encounters.
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla make 1 billion profits from it Bitcoin holding on: October 17, 2021, 08:16:40 PM
~
Nobody is talking about the profit taking. If Tesla decides to take their profit, will the market be strong enough to take the sell pressure?
Remember it's not just Tesla who is in profit there are already Microstrategy who are also holding bitcoin as well as other private companies, it will be an earthquake to the market if they all want to sell.
There are multiple institutional investors who are holding billions of dollars worth of Bitcoin, Tesla and MicroStrategy are just two of the big investors and Tesla even booked some of their profit during the last rally and they will book their profit any time and since a company like Tesla earned a huge profit expect more companies to come forward during the next rally.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We enter a new era of heavy regulations on: October 17, 2021, 06:48:12 PM
~
The new regulations that are getting stricter are indeed aimed at companies engaged in crypto, which manage crypto assets. Currently, major exchanges have enforced mandatory KYC to find out who the crypto holder is, so that adherents of high privacy levels will be a little disturbed.
Global exchanges must follow the latest regulations provided in order to operate smoothly.
regulation is evolving, but crypto will still be a decentralized asset and will not be a fully centralized asset (even though the government is trying to regulate everything).
The privacy aspect is gone once all the exchanges enforces mandatory KYC and the only problem i have is that i believe there will be a time when these exchanges will not allow to deposit coins that are mixed using a tumbler and we might see those development as well. Even now majority of the casinos are flagging you for using tumblers and all the major exchanges are enforcing KYC and i was asked to comply with them to continue trading with them and i am sure everyone got that mail from them.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 17, 2021, 05:16:10 PM

IMO Babar & co focus should be on WC trophy not just 1 match. They shouldn't get into this rivalry pressure and if they manage to do that then they are strong side. Also Pakistan need to perform well in this WC if PCB want some bargaining chips in the cricketing world.
The IPL has given too much experience for Indian players in the UAE pitches and it is impossible to think that Pakistan could upset India, but it is T20 and anything is possible but i am betting for India to win in this encounter.

Scotland surprised me today when they score 140 runs because at one point i never thought they would score 100 runs but Bangladesh bowled poorly and now they are struggling as Bangladesh lost 4 wickets and they need 61 runs from 35 balls which i think can be chased but who knows what will happen.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 17, 2021, 03:42:42 PM

Sooner or later Afghanistan will be eliminated from icc n primary reason is there new government has differences with India and India will use icc to restrict them from playing international matches. India investment in Afghanistan has gone down to zero after New take over.
But in the end it will be Afghanistan players that will suffer. They have made huge progress in recent years n chances are that it will be down to zero. Only neutral icc can allow them to play cricket.
It is a tricky situation for Afghanistan and their sporting future is in chaos, they had some talented players and i am sure majority of the cricket players left the country fearing for their life once the Taliban took over the country.

Not sure what decision the ICC will be taking in this regard but they should be allowed to play as they have some serious talents.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 17, 2021, 06:30:44 AM
Here is the results.

Surprised to see Andrei Arlovski still able to win against young fighters, i thought he had a glass chin and he would go down but he was able to fight through and win the decision.

Jim Miler is the only pick that went my way Shocked.
