Yeah right now Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Ireland much superior in quality of game after having some good experience in this format.

I am confused with the format, does the T20 World Cup starts sooner and the teams that are not in the top will face teams that are much weaker than them to get qualified. I need to check out these teams because some of the teams playing in this round are not known to me but for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh playing against teams like Namibia, Papua New Guinea and Oman looks like fun as i am sure these teams will easily defeat them.

Tomorrow the first round of T20 World Cup starts and this is conducted mainly to accommodate more teams and this time we have 16 teams and hence the tournament is divided into two rounds and the winners from that will be included in the final 8 and that is when the real competitive tournament starts and that starts on 23 rd of this month and the first match is between Australia and South Africa.

I tried to explain this and posted bit of info in our WC pool thread. This might give you some insight on format. Srilanka and Bangladesh are in lower group and playing qualification round because somehow they manage to ruin their automated qualification due to poor run. Sri Lanka is no brainer tho.

This year we have group system, total 4 groups. Group A, Group B, Group 1 and Group 2



- Group A and Group B have 4 teams each. They will play qualification matches against each other from 17 oct -22 Oct. Winner and runner up from each group will move into Main Group (1 and 2) Called Super Group.

Note : Superbru not featuring qualification matches.



After completion of qualification round. Super Group table would look like this. These matches starts from 23 oct and our superbru pool will start from here.

My expectation is that Oman is going to get some points easily. But I am thinking about the Bangladesh vs Scotland match. I will bet for the victory of Bangladesh. But I can't call the Scotland team bad. Moreover, I saw in a news that the coach of Scotland is considering the Bangladesh team as an average-level team. And he wants to defeat Bangladesh easily. Is it their confidence or over-confidence?

Historically Scotland has performed better in the seaming conditions of Europe, as their pace bowlers are mostly dependent on seam and swing. In sub-continental conditions, they have fared poorly. The conditions in UAE/Oman will suit Bangladesh and Scotland bowlers will struggle to keep the Bangladeshi batsmen under check. Also, the Scotland batsmen have a weakness for spin and currently Bangladesh do have some very good spinners. But we can't be sure about the outcome. Afterall, it is T20 format.

I think that in every IPL, there is auction for the players. So others teams can bid higher for player of Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. I think this is how it works ?
Although other franchises have to spend huge money, but their chances to go in and win the final will increase.

I already posted about the salary cap. So it is not possible for the other franchises to spend unlimited amounts of money. On top of that, each franchise can retain up to four players. For CSK in the next season, these four are going to be - Dhoni, Gaikwad, Chahar and du Plessis (my best guess). The teams that are already weak (such as Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals) have only limited options available with them. They can bid for only players who are not retained by the other franchises, and those who come within their salary range.

So in that case Chennai Super Kings and other top teams will always have the advantage because they won't let go their top performing
players.
Is it possible for the franchises to enroll brand new players from the international and local region ? This is the only chance for them to get more better players.

For this match prediction is very easy and clearly India is free money because currently Pakistan's form is not good, and they are not able to compete with India here in this event their players surely going under pressure, and they will be not able to perform better. Indian players are much better and experienced and have better technique and quality in this format, they can beat them without any serious threat. Here right now odds are better for India because after few days these are going more down so for better profit you can place your bet right now for good odds.

All Indian team already in the UAE and play some good cricket which will give them more benefit and chance of win this match and this event.

India no doubt has upper hand in that match. Pakistani players are also under pressure because of recent tour cancellation by cnz n ecb. There are not big names in Pakistan side also. That's the reason why odds are favouring India.

Coming to the today's match, Scotland is looking to have good finish against Bangladesh and its a very good recovery for them to score over a 100 runs and they still have three more overs to go. Bangladesh still should win this but the fight back from Watt and Greaves is wonderful.

In first qualifier of today Oman completely outclass PNG with 10 wickets victory which was expected because PNG is completely crap recently they are playing very badly.

Now after watching first few overs I am also favouring in Scotland they are much better team then I was expecting because their bowling is doing good job just first 5 overs, and they have 2 batsmen with just 22 runs on board look like it's not going to be one-sided match as we have first match of this round few hours ago where Oman completely thrash PNG which play very poor cricket even they were also good few years back, but now they are really poor in batting and bowling.

These new teams have few very exciting players those can bring some good entertainment in this round, and we will have very exciting matches in next round as well.

A very shaky and unusual start from Bangladesh batsmen as they lost their two player right now their 2 most experienced batsmen on crease, but they are playing very slow which can bring them in massive under pressure which is terrible for their next batsmen and chase because Scotland is not bad as we were expecting they are very professional and have some good experience of this format.

Many Scottish players already involved in English counties and short format cricket just because of this, they can create serious trouble for them in the last few overs.

We always expect the same performance from the openers of the Bangladesh team, today's match was no exception. Bangladesh lost their first wicket by just 8 runs, and lost the second wicket by 18 runs. Both opener's batsmen collected 5 runs. I do not expect the opener batsmen to play well and Bangladesh will win the match. However, Mushfiqur and Shakib controlled the match very well. Bangladesh is more likely to win.

Oman and PNG match was just one sided.
140 is not an easy target and Bangla have already lost one wicket. Shakib Al Hasan is now on the pitch along with DAS, this will be make or break for Bangla. If Shakib Al Hasan can stay there till 12th or 15th over, I am very much sure Bangla can clinch this match.
Scotland do have a decent bowling line up and can restrict Bangla from wining this.

The IPL has given too much experience for Indian players in the UAE pitches and it is impossible to think that Pakistan could upset India, but it is T20 and anything is possible but i am betting for India to win in this encounter.
Scotland surprised me today when they score 140 runs because at one point i never thought they would score 100 runs but Bangladesh bowled poorly and now they are struggling as Bangladesh lost 4 wickets and they need 61 runs from 35 balls which i think can be chased but who knows what will happen.

Even if Pakistan wins this WC (which is unlikely since its decision of the big three that who win win this WC),  it won't expect any benefit from ICC. Since its Indian dominated cricket and there is hardly any room for its arch-rival Pakistan.
Yup, it's 11-0 but you are missing something b/w the lines aka India have got the biggest defeat in ICC's main event final till date. And Pakistan team at that time was very weak as compared to today's team.
