I just really want to mine ...i think that will be a good idea.
After i buy btc what can i do ?

You can mine, but you won't profit.
After you buy btc you can sit and watch as the price fluctuates.
542  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: transaction while synchronizing on: August 27, 2014, 06:20:26 PM
may I ask I am new to this and I've been running my wallet bitcoin wallet since Saturday and still have 22 weeks how long does it take , and will it have to synch again once its done. sorry for high jacking the thread, but im just learning and reading thanks.

"How long it takes" depends on your internet speed. Also, google "bitcoin bootstrap.dat" and download it, it will make the download so much easier.
543  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Asic miner, Big Bang for a Small buck on: August 27, 2014, 06:14:37 PM
Hey so iv gotten back into Bitcoin mining after a few years(started cpu mining) and now I've bought an Antminer U2 to get started and try it out it runs on cgminer at a stable and cool 1.9avg GH/s.   I'm loving it so far.   I've been high into buying contract.    Now im looking into buying more miners of my own for personal use.

And for all you miners out there I ask,  what would be the best miner that will make the biggest bang for the smallest buck Id say for right now.   Anything under $110

I have a 4 port 2.0 Belkin powered hub (of course will need another one) Was wondering if anybody has any suggestions on a miner that will give me a big bang for a small buck.
I've been doing weekly research and so far come across weird prices for weird speeds and figured  asking the experienced miners which will be the better miners.

Again anything under $110 CAD im willing to go for.      Please list your suggustions that would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Thanks

What is "profitable" and will give you a "big bang" depends on your electricity price. So, what's your electricity price?
544  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Please HELP !!! WILL PAY BTC on: August 27, 2014, 06:13:31 PM
Hey My Name is Dean, I purchased a 1TH Dragon ASIC Miner yesterday, Having trouble setting it up, please can someone help me set my miner upto a pool and get it mining at 1TH.

When I set this miner up with BTCGUILD Pool, the miner was mining at 8.54GH/s and it should be mining at 1TH/s Please Help,

My Skype name is Deano1113

Best Regards,
Dean.

What is incorrect? Have you tried rebooting the miner, to see if it works, or have you tried a different pool?
545  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: need help on: August 27, 2014, 06:11:32 PM
So,from where can i buy something like ghs  from cex.io?
Is hashprofit a scam site or its legit ?

I suggest you stop trying to get into mining, you're really better off buying btc, and that's it.
546  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: need help on: August 27, 2014, 04:27:12 PM
Yes i want to mine btc.
I have 15 dollars to spent on online btc mining.
From where can i buy something like that ?

15 dollars? Are you serious?
You cannot buy any equipment that will profit with 15 dollars. Don't even think about it unless you have a couple hundred to spare.

You can get a Fury from Gaw Miners for under 40 bucks shipped and connect it to your laptop using the included USB cord and it's powered by the included power brick(60 watt, 5 amp, 115 volt AC). Then use a mining application such as BFGminer.

Yup, since you will no longer ROI on that thing. You even forgot to add shipping, and I'm pretty sure that a primary kid would know that that is more than 15 dollars.

No, don't buy on cex.io, since you will earn a negative profit. So yeah.
547  Economy / Lending / Re: loan request on: August 27, 2014, 11:22:52 AM
Any collateral you can offer?  I'd gladly provide this loan if it was secured. Smiley
I can get you some stellar as collateral, that is my only altcoin I have right now.

I can do this loan, or buy your stellar. How much Stellar are you willing to provide as collateral?
110%

OK, no problem. I would require 3822 Stellar as collateral, and I will provide a loan of 0.01545BTC. Amount to be repaid is 0.01930BTC, within 10 days.

Is that alright? Do you want to use escrow? If you need escrow, I cannot do this immediately, but if you send directly to me, i can give you the loan now.

550  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Gawminers can't be serious on: August 27, 2014, 01:03:55 AM
So if you place an order at gawminers, it gets automatically marked as fraud. when you try to use the coupon they give you, it won't work. when you call them, nobody picks up. do gawminers exist physically or do they just have a website where everything is automated?

What automatically gets marked as fraud?
As far as I know, they have an awesome customer support, with loads of actual people. Open a ticket or check to see if there's someone on live chat (usually always).
551  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: need help on: August 26, 2014, 07:20:21 PM
Hooo guys.
My laptop is an alienware from the last year.
I just want to know how to mine ...cause they are already open every day non-stop and at the night doing nothing.

That doesn't matter. Laptops are useless for mining.
You really need to watch this video:

If they threatened to ban you for expressing opinions you should
publicly post the accusation, no company has the right to behave like that.

If you have the right on your side you should shed some light on it.
I think the issue here is that rodeoclown has a long history of displaying rude behavior on the forum.  He has been previously warned about his behavior.

The first amendment is the right to free speech in the United States.  I don't think anyone is being censored or punished for expressing a differing opinion in this particular situation.  There may be forum rules about treating each other with respect or courtesy that he violated, but I can't find them at the moment.

A temporary account ban on bitcointalk might be in order if a moderator thinks that is best, but I don't think his pbmining account should be affected in any way.  That would not be fair, and that could send a chilling message to other customers.  rodeoclown has already apologized, it sounds like he may have learned a lesson, and I think most people have accepted his apology.

Rodeo panicked. He asked me to contact them (and I assume some others of you, though I don't know), and I did. According to their reply to me, it was a technical issue, not actually locking him out. Both pbmining and Rodeo have informed me that it's fixed. They did yell at him for being overly rude. I suspect he's rather young and excitable. Aside from his flame war with Byte411, I've always found him amusing, and sometimes informative. So I think singling him out would be wrong. There are genuine trolls on here quite often. An excitable kid is not a big deal in my arrogant opinion.

As to the right of free speech, it carries certain responsibilities. I'm going to speak contra Oliver Wendell Holmes here, and say that as a human being with the power of speech, you most assuredly DO have the right to scream "fire" in a crowded theater. By any legal theory I can think of, you will not be censured for this, even the ones that Holmes illustrated. You will be cited for incitment to riot, creating a public nuisance, reckless endagerment, fraud, all manner of things STEMMING FROM your abuse of freedom of speech, but you'll not be charged with yelling fire.

Freedom of speech does not mean that your exercise of it carries no consequence, it just means you have the right to say it. All rights come with duties, and the duty of a speaker is to be accurate (where appropriate) and guage the effect of their speech to the best of their ability. As a man with a very hot temper, I frequently rewrite my posts before they go public. Is this censorship? I'd have to say both yes and no. It's self censorship, in that I am unlikely to personally attack anyone and do my best to avoid it. Even when I feel like I ought to grab a troll by the throat and rip their larynx out. In a forum, where you type everything, you have the luxury of time. You can edit sufficiently to get your point across WITHOUT deliberate personal offense, or do it such a way that they can't prove it Tongue So in the end, it's not censorship, but rather personal decorum. Those who do not or cannot control themselves are not considered to be adults outside of political spheres.

And lest somebody go dig up my (long) past on the 'net and before, yes, it took me a LONG time to grow up based on those words.

Freedom has limits. You are free to do anything you want, as long as it doesn't go against the will of others.
Simple enough. You want to kill someone, you kill them, and are prosecuted by the law. You say you lost your freedom, but freedom has its limits.
rodeoclownicp has promised to not insult or attack anyone else verbally on this forum, be it me or someone else. I have not insulted him, I have just debated with him, but he just threw insults at me.

However, I have forgiven him, and I consider this matter closed.

Sorry about that. Did they give you a reason? This sure was an unexpected turn of events.
Also, if you hate me and you don't care about my opinion, you can use the "Ignore" button.

You don't have a balance of 0.01 BTC yet, it pays when it reaches 0.01 that is ready for a payout.

I've had 0.01820372 BTC three weeks now.  Sad

Well we can help if you provide your username (address), otherwise we can't do anything. So, whats your address?
556  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ANX: Your Ultimate Crypto Trading Platform on: August 26, 2014, 06:42:44 AM
I second that! I'd like to have all my e-mail communication with ANX encrytped with my OpenPGP key.
Umm... May I ask why you need this feature?

Because I like to use OpenPGP encryption for e-mails whenever possible. Unencrypted e-mails are like postcards, everybody in between can read, store and analyze them. Big Brother (NSA and the like) is always watching, and I don't like that!

A bit unsure of what you're talking about, to be honest. Do you mean that you will sign all of your messages, and that we should verify them?

Its nice site. Can you implement an option to import a private key? Smiley

~~MZ~~

Import a private key for what? For depositing?
I see many flaws to that.

I enjoy using PBMining and no complains here so far. Smiley

However, I personaly think increasing prices is the wrong move while ANTMINER S3+ -B8 price is going down and a competitor sells for 0.0026 GH/s. ( 50 min. )

I see the price increase to 0.0031 as a good thing for several reasons:

1. The value of BTC has gone down relative to fiat currencies.  While the cost per contract still went up, we may be paying less if we think of the fiat price.

2. Even though we buy contracts with BTC, they do have expenses based in fiat currency.

3. It shows that pbmining is paying attention to the cost of carrying a new contract, and that the price is not some imaginary/arbitrary number.  They recently ran out of GH capacity.  Adding the recent capacity must have cost more BTC.

4. It slows the rate of issuance of new contracts, which may not break even.  Unless future difficulty increases become milder, you would probably not break even at the old or new prices.

no its not a ponzi but you are a plant or stupid.... the only thing that matters from the buyer is roi... why would you say something so stupid... roi is almost gone or just ended now... u cant increase the price of gh and get a profit... if difficulty increases 20% prices have to drop 20% just to stay the same-thats not even improving . so from going 6 months back if the difficulty increases were always higher than the price drops(and they were) things have only gotten worse for 6 months straight profits on pb have gone down-down down down- and only down, you cant even get a calculator to say you will break even- YOU WONT BREAK EVEN- now that the the value of btc has declined things are even worse.....pb has said over and over "the conversion doesnt matter", him and that idiot byt411, and now you,the plant, say its good-on what fu#king planet? the only thing a value dip in btc is good for is to convert fiat to btc to buy some gh and that works only if btc is going right back up, it could offset some of the profit loss..... i wish pb would open up the books so we could play a  larger role in managing our investments- this may have grown to big for him.... try putting in 5000gh in 2 years its worth less than 1$.... again if u took every btc u had and just bought more gh with it one day you would just have nothing, thats not investing,...investing is supposed to be you reinvest and profits increase....so if it doesnt look good dont buy it nobody can make you

Good. That's correct , if it doesn't look good, simply don't invest in it.
PBMining is forced to increase the price because they have to. You can't just expect profit for yourself, no one would run a business that loses money. While we'd like to earn, PBMining needs to earn too.
Please stop insulting people. It's meaningless and getting quite annoying.

why anxbtc doesn't show smooth charts like kraken? i'm relying on bitcoinity to trade with them, because it's easy to work with charts over an order book, anxpro should do something about it.

Hi. What do you mean by "Smooth Charts"?
If you'd like to drop in a suggestion, please do so on our Bitcointalk thread.
