I think that there may be problems due to the lack of some files that need to be installed via additional Visual C ++ libraries or some updates (as was the case with one of the files in the vc_redist.x64 library). In any case, using Windows 10 for any crypto currency wallets is a very reckless decision. All your data (passwords, contacts and other personal information) will most likely be on Microsoft servers and no one knows when they will take advantage of it. I noticed that when the price of bitcoin is falling, POW coins are falling in price even more. But the hybrid coins POS + POW and only POS do not practically fall in price. If everything is done correctly and the passwords are matched, then you will see that your wallet (after full synchronization with the network) went into POS minting mode. The diamond icon in the lower right corner turns blue  I followed all these steps you have outlined here but when I hover the mouse over the padlock icon it says that the wallet is locked but I went to settings and unlocked it and entered my passpharse but still the padlock icon says that it is locked. My 1 DMD won't be mature yet so I won't see the blue diamond right now but shouldn't the padlock say unlocked? You should not be on the badge of the lock. After the coins are in an important wallet, it must take at least 9 days before you begin to receive POS revenue. The main indicator that your wallet is in minting mode is a blue diamond icon

Okay I now have the DMD wallet up and fully synced to the network and have encrypted my wallet however now that I try and unlock my wallet using the same passpharse it won't unlock. I also sent 1 DMD to the coin to see if it will unlock once there is a balance but still nothing. Is there a command I can put into the console to get it to unlock?
I do not quite understand what your problem is. You created a new wallet.dat file, next, you must assign it a password. This is done in the window:  After that you send to your new address a test coin (for example 1DMD) When you see the incoming transaction and it will be confirmed, you can easily check your password for correctness using this mode  If everything is done correctly and the passwords are matched, then you will see that your wallet (after full synchronization with the network) went into POS minting mode. I was also the one who bought in January. Right after the first time I successfully CPU-mined it. I think I bought 25 at that time, it went up that much from that.

u know that most likely even POS in DMDv3 will earn better than now its not like only a MN can earn u nice income activity will be rewarded in DMDv3 24/7 POS nodes will earn nice too not only MN Ya... but I'm an all or nothing sort of guy, and I can't put 100% into just one half of the pos/pow spectrum... I like the checks and balances woven into the cryptocurrency market as a whole, each currency contributing its part and receiving its share, I don't trust it would all go smoothly to entirely do away with PoW, nor PoS, so I wander. Maybe some day I'll find my home. I still have 30 DMD. If it doesn't go down, you all better at least make that amount worth enough to buy me a new car someday. Maybe one of those flying ones.... I also just came into DMD and have started to download the wallet however it's taking forever to download at only 43% down even though I added the bootstrap which I thought would speed up the process but it hasn't. Did I maybe do something wrong as I did follow the steps to add the bootstrap by deleting everything in the DMD appdata and leaving the wallet.dat and then adding the bootstrap in there.
I think the best solution is to download the ready-made Blockchain on the main page of this forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580725.0 (synchronization will happen much faster) All these hangs are most likely due to the fact that when Diamond the have a script algorithm and when we to go on Groestl we had to modernize the structure of the blockchain (But in a certain place, scars could remain). If a friend during the loading of blocks your wallet freezes, then just restart it. I know that when developing a new version of wallet 3.0, special attention is paid to this issue, since it has already been repeatedly raised here. Love it, but I had to leave, price too high for me to finish getting enough for mn. Maybe if dip down to .0007 I can, or if I strike it rich elsewhere, but I didn't like current trend. We had a straight line going. This is bubbling imo, needs correction. Whichever way she goes, it has been most pleasant spending time with you all over the last few months. Good luck, maybe you again want to buy Diamonds when the price is 10 dollars or more and you will understand that there will be no rollback $10, maybe. 10 BTC? No way. Not today or ever. I am the one who brought this thing up from .00025 or whatever it was to .00075, over the course of a couple months. I have been consistently buying since, but I fear for you folks out there. There will be a correction, fight it or not. If the correction will be, then I will gladly buy more DMD Diamond is a great investment coin.
