I personally favour adding 2 decimal places or even changing everything to be displayed as Satoshi to 2 decimal places rather than Bitcoin to 8 decimals places. That involves some serious database changes which are very difficult to implement without taking the site offline while it's done.

The actual reason for this was pointed out in one of the subsequent replies to that post. The odds shown don't include the time weight multiplier. That means that everyone gets paid higher than the odds shown with the largest increase going to the earliest bets.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was brought up with fractional betting in the UK but it's been over 30 years since I ventured into a bookmaker or went to a racecourse. I had completely forgotten that the stake is returned in addition to the quoted odds.

That's exactly how it works because it's player versus player betting. What other people bet on is the only factor involved in deciding the odds.

People who abuse faucets are not always the smartest. Many thousands of them are dumb enough to do that. Back when I was a customer 14 would be a minimum for days I was claiming RP bonuses. Because I worked all day sat at a computer it only took a couple of seconds to switch tabs and click roll and I could do a few more in the evening so maybe 15 or 16 total. I even managed 23 one day because I'm a bit of a politics geek and I stayed up all night to watch general election results.


If someone plays 19 to 21 every day then they have a game addiction and should seek help. Bot detection is a lot more complex than just counting how many rolls someone does. Some botters are smart enough to use 3x the number of accounts only doing 8 rolls a day each.

That's the main problem at the moment. The increased value of RP has encouraged a huge increase in bots abusing the RP bonuses. At today's prices, they are stealing $0.50 cents a day per account and it only takes a little over3 months to get to a payout of $50.
We've improved the bot detection a lot but with an incentive that large, it's like play Whac-A-Mole for me.


Please learn to read. I said we are NOT going to devalue them. The overall total given away needs to be reduced.
