Fun fact:

We are now on page 2^8.

Could that be expressed as 2^2^2^2?

No.

You need 2^2^3. Using 2^2^(2^2) instead of (3) results in your number being a "bit" off: 65,536. Note that with exponents in this form you must work backwards, so the format can be a bit confusing; it makes more sense in standard superscript form.

2222

Edit: this would work as well: ((2^2)^2)^2

LOL

I really have no idea what's going on with this picture, but it makes me giggle.

"FinCEN understands that Bitcoin mining imposes no obligations on a Bitcoin user to send mined Bitcoin to any other person or place for the benefit of another. Instead, the user is free to use the mined virtual currency or its equivalent for the user’s own purposes, such as to purchase real or virtual goods and services for the user’s own use. To the extent that a user mines Bitcoin and uses the Bitcoin solely for the user’s own purposes and not for the benefit of another, the user is not an MSB under FinCEN’s regulations,"

Sounds very clear to me, Masternodes are not MSBs. (I'm not a lawyer, take it for what it's worth)

"Bitcoin mining imposes no obligations on a Bitcoin user to send mined Bitcoin to any other person or place for the benefit of another."

Isn't that exactly what a Masternode does. You are taking other people's coins, mixing it up, and sending it to other people, for the benefit of other people.

No that isn't what masternodes do. They mix up addressing information but the masternodes don't take possession of the coins.

Fair point.  Can I rephrase it to say that they are assisting others in sending their coins to other persons for the benefit of others?

I'm not sure.

They just coordinate a group signature with multiple inputs and outputs. However, the design of it presently is that no one is actually transacting money; the matching inputs and outputs always belong to the same person. That makes it seem pretty unlikely to me that they'd be classified as MSBs, though how the old version (where they coordinated on-the-fly mixing for actual transactions (sender and receiver were different)) would be treated is murkier.

Bitcoin users are called "Bitcoiner(s)".
Litecoin users are called "Litecoiner(s)".
etc.

How are Monero users called?

Is there already a cool name/term? Or do we need to create/find one? Obvious best via a community decision.

My vote is on "Mooners".  Grin

Holy quotes.

Anyway, please don't be deliberately obtuse. The subsidy reduction was in conjunction with changing blocktime to 1 minute, i.e., there was no change.

Leverage system

I'm working on a new leverage system for the investors (this feature isn't released yet).

Any investor will be able to select a range from 1 through 100 (1 meaning that you're not leveraging).

CCD will operate to a static leverage, if you select 100, it will remain 100 until you divest, update your range, or lost all your investment.

For peoples unfamiliar with the leverage, this is a risk factor helping you to earn more on your investment, or to lose more.
The leverage act like a multiplier: placing an initial investment of 15 COIN with a leverage of 100:1 is pushing your investment balance to 1500 COIN, allowing you to own an bigger percentage of the bankroll.

Because your % of the bankroll is higher with the leverage, you gain more coins when a player lost, and you lost more when a player win.

Let's use a simple example to clarify.
Quote
Bankroll = 9000 COIN

You're investing 20 COIN, on a leverage of 50:1. You overall investment is about 1000 COIN (20 * 50).
So the bankroll is now up to 10000 COIN. You're owning 10% of it.

A player just lost 25 COIN.
As you own 10% of the bankroll, you earn a profit of 2.5 COIN on that bet.
So your initial investment is now 22.5 COIN, pushed to 1125 COIN through your leverage of 50:1.

On the other side, let suppose that the player won instead. This is a loss of 2.5 COIN on your initial investment, which is now down to 17.5 COIN.

If you're not satisfied of that setup because the risk is too high, you can update your leverage anytime.

Pros
  • The leverage will boost the site's max profit.
  • Investors can manage their risks.

Cons
  • Max profit will be a lot more volatile

New CCD Build
You can now divest only a part of your investment.

Proof-of-Reserve
Next PoR on Monero is tomorrow
https://www.cryptocoins-dice.com/files/xmr_por.txt

Nice, this will very likely boost the bankroll by up to 10x off the bat, as I'm guessing most people are willing to risk more than 0.5% in each bet. 100x seems a bit over the top though. Smiley

Maybe it was ebolareject or whatever he was called that bought the Hippie account. That guy wasted months shitting up the DRK thread every time he was out on day release, and was caught sockpuppeering several times.

Ha ha.  You have proven your ignorance.  Why would I fud a coin that I'm holding.  I'm starting to see a pattern though with this coin and darkcoin.  All you darkcoin guys  have jumped that worn out ship and are trying to replicate the same shit you did with darkcoin.

I  await your  army of sockpuppet accounts to immediately coordinate an attack calling me a fudster even though I have said nothing bad about Spreadcoin.

I was right about darkcoin that's why slime like you are now hijacking this coin to push your ponzinodes on everyone.

I stated some time ago that I wouldn't turn this thread into a repeat of drk.  Now you just had to be a stupid fuck and accuse me of things I have nothing to do with.  You are a worthless scammer.  It's people like you that will cause me to dump all my spread.  There are others that are ready to do the same.  I know because I have been skyping with a few.

Now be the good little scammer we all know you can be and shut your ignorant mouth before I  get annoyed.

Been wakeboarding recently?

"Usual stuff"

Hey, Lamby, you intrigue me. I know it's a lot to ask, but would you mind taking a break from your usual menial tasks to tell me a bit about yourself? You know, help me see behind the curtain, the real "you". Your story. How you discovered BTC. What intrigued you enough to trade it. Childhood memories. Etc.

Thanks in advance!

That's just creepy, bro...

Shucks, I was looking forward to it...

XMR is down 9% vs BTC in the past 24 hours. BTC is up 23% vs USD in the same time period. Do the math.

Monero up 14%.

AFAICT, this equals +11.93%.

Greetings, gentlemen and gentleladies of the Kingdom!

No doubt you have been waiting for an update on the online version with eager anticipation, and I must apologise that updates have not been more forthcoming. With so many moving parts and so much design and effort going into the backend (which is the very heart of the game), it is not always easy to have something visible to show or talk about. Some of the developers have also been on leave at the end of the year, and things are only now starting to return to normal.

One of the key components that gave us a bit of a runaround was IRC integration. We hope to demonstrate this within the next week, but basically we now have a multi-room capable chat engine that backs onto IRC. The advantage is that developers will be able to create interactive components (such as the completely unrelated Tippero bot), and we will still be able to provide internal functionality that is not native to IRC (such as the ability to have a drink, or to tip within Crypto Kingdom, which functionality will not be exposed externally via IRC).

Because of the nature of the game we took a step back towards the end of December and started building out an API, which initially will only be used internally, but later on can be exposed to developers. This is something we had to do at this early stage, as if we started doing it later we would end up with no separation of concerns, and a whole mess of duplicated code. The advantage is that when we do expose parts of the API, the calls that developers will use will be exactly the same API calls we use within the code, so there won't be multiple points of failure. The earliest externally accessible API functions will most likely be read-only access to the various databases, so that developers can build their own sites and webapps with live charts, summaries, logs, overviews, and whatever else.

I'll be sure to update in this thread more regularly now that things have kicked back into full-swing!

Sounds great, thanks a lot for the update!

Dang, when did BTS become worth >$24 billion? With only 2.5 billion total supply, that means each coin is now worth > $9.60. I guess I'm doing better than I thought; I have 25,000 or something. That's like 1,125 BTC. Nice!

Hehe. This made me curious, so I went and actually looked. I really have 44,775, which equates to 2,018 BTC. Cheesy.

Also, happy 1 year, DRK.

Can you lend me 18 BTC? Got to buy some cat and dog food, lets face it you can afford it now.

Haha Tongue

coins101, you are now on the list. If BTS reaches $24 billion market cap, I'll send you 18 BTC. Write it down (hopefully BTC isn't worth $50,000 at that point, otherwise we'll have to use a some prorated system).

********* Amber Alert************

Even at the top of the bounce I calculate the revised marketcap at around $24 Billion which means it's dropped a place below Bitshares. Also confidence will take a hit - the $20 price needs a 1000% gain from here.

I have to say I think Tippero is awesome.

This is the kind of thing that can really make a coin stand out in a crowded space.

Nice work.

+1,000

I'm having a ball with it (was gifted a couple XMR to play with).
