5601  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ZenMiner (unmoderated) service discussion thread on: May 28, 2014, 10:04:03 PM
Hey everyone, I am Eric, tech support with zenMiner. I think I've had the pleasure of exchanging support emails with a few of you already.

So to address the issue at hand, essentially we're just dealing with some launch day snags. We had a such a high level of activations as soon as the service went live, even more than we had anticipated. We have GAW Miners to thank for that, putting our hardware in the hands of so many of their customers in such a short time!

With such rapid growth comes a little pain too... We're working as quickly and diligently as possible to iron out the issues with delays in activation. We'll be posting hourly updates until the system is working as intended.

Thank you all for your patience! Soon you'll all be happily hashing away.

Thanks for the update guys.
5602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒[CGA] Cryptographic Anomaly - The Elusive Coin⚒ Update to 1.3.4.1 ASAP! on: May 28, 2014, 09:17:25 PM
Everyone please update! The most current version is 1.3.4.2 but the only difference between 1.3.4.1 and 1.3.4.2 is a checkpoint. The hardcoded nodes are still down so please share your peer info with others to help others sync. Any 1.3.4.x version should work but anything less (1.3.3.x) will be the wrong chain! UPDATE and resync if needed!

Do we have to BEG for this update?  Where can we find it? It's not in the site. It's not in the first page.

It IS on their website. Scroll to the bottom you'll see the links for all the platforms.

No it's not.  It's 1.3.4.1 . We already have this. Is it a kind of a game? Do we win something? Or just confusion.

That version is fine. If you pull the SRC you'll get 1.3.4.2

Thanks! Don't want to wait for a response for zenminer support on the 'updating your device' issue. Will attempt that tomorrow after a night of hashing through windows.

still waiting on a response about that issue too...

Community Question - Has anyone gotten their zenBox up and online?

Another user in another thread inquired because we do get the HDMI cable with the RPi, so I'm curious if we get any local output from the device outside of what is on the Zen site, but unfortunately I haven't been able to get mine on yet (work in progress).

Please include screenshots of any UI if you have it up and running!

nothing yet. just sits there on their webpage trying to detect....

finially got it to register and the miners page shows:

Updating your device for New Fury....

forever... will let it run and see what happens.

Hi,

Please note that the free ZenController that was shipped to you is only capitible with the Miner is came with (Generation A)  they will be releasing an update shortly for it to handle more then one brand at a time, but at this time it you can only use one brand of miners at a time.

ahh that's too bad.
5608  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - NEXT GEN ASIC on: May 28, 2014, 04:27:20 PM
is there an active/official zenMiner thread? I've sent them an email, but would like to follow problems with them as mine will is not being detected....

We will handle support for our one customers. And we will not have any official threads in the forums

Please send them in to the support desk Smiley

Thanks. Forwarded you the email I sent to support@zenminer.com

thats fine, what im trying to underline here is the profit margin must be high on the miners, if they can afford to give it as a gift at cost of $69.

it's a promo. which is over. move along.

CGA coin should be changed to PIA coin! Pain In the ASS coin!  Grin
I HATE all the problems going on with this unstable undependable attention hogging emotional roller coastering poorly written and managed coin!
New Ticker = PIA

everyone just need to get updated. I lost count how many peers I blocked on my firewall cause they weren't upgraded and didn't wnat them poisoning my chain.

But yes, I have had a few problems but I think the message needs to get out more that people need to upgrade.

Here is the open software link: https://gawminers.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202395200-cgminer-binary-and-config

Please be advised, if you overwrite your ZenController, you will not longer have support for that device. Thaks!

Thanks for posting these. One minor thing though; it seems that it's missing the source code and a copy of the license which is required to comply with the cgminer licensing (GPL). Just giving you guys a quick heads up.  Wink That is unless I'm blind and missed them.  Cheesy

It'll also be interesting to see how quickly other mining software developers add support.

Quick question. Will it only be possible to update the firmware on the miners through ZenMiner or will you also be releasing a standalone updater?

+1 open software, needs the source and licenses included.
5616  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - NEXT GEN ASIC on: May 28, 2014, 11:26:02 AM
zenminer is up and accepting registrations.

good stuff. I see they keep changing their statement about the cost. It now says, "Free for now" and not Free! But we plan to implement enterprise solutions etc...

I'm guessing they'll start scraping hash as payments... in the future.
5617  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - NEXT GEN ASIC on: May 27, 2014, 11:31:08 PM
Has anyone checked their order on the website? Mine says "AWAITING FULFILLMENT" still (Week 1 Falcon).

Had 2 orders. one is shipped #43xx, but only picked up in China a few hours ago so looks like a couple days behind on deliveries? My other order still awaiting...

Looks like they are behind, but progressing though orders.
